Her laugh was short lived as she remembered the purpose of her visit. History of Magic. Olivia tried to think back to the class syllabus and recommended reading but came up blank. Just as she was going to turn around and leave she heard footsteps. Who in their right mind would actually come to the library? When she turned she saw a sweet looking blonde girl that she recognized from a few of her classes. Part of her mind panicked but the other part decided she needed to make a friend. "Oh hi, Poppy is it?" Without second thought she was smiling, head tilted to the side in a bid to be more open.

Once the class was a spotless as it had been that morning, Professor Devereaux decided to get to work on some assignments for the coming days. He also needed to find a way to bring order to his classroom lest he get replaced for incompetence. The planner sitting in front of him looked up with words and ideas a jumbled mess; notes on types of teas, symbolism, ways to class importance of an image. As if a light bulb had gone off above his head, the professor jumped to his feet and began writing on the board. The next assignment was to be a report on the importance of Divination through Gedonelune's history.

Olivia observed that Poppy seemed to be a little unsure of her; was she being judged? When the blonde stepped closer Olivia decided to stick her hand out for a handshake. "Yes ma'am! History has been such a bore lately, I haven't really noticed,"a blush slowly lit up her face as she glanced around. "You wouldn't happen to know what our recommended reading was, would you?" She brought her notebook and supply pouch to her chest and hoped Poppy wouldn't think her pitiful.

When the word 'darling' left Poppy's lips, Olivia instantly felt at ease. She had told herself many times to pick up a copy of Omniarch when she was at the shops, how could she have forgotten? "Thank you so much," a sigh of relief escaped as she followed. It was in the light of the candle flames that Olivia noticed the girl was not a blonde, but that her hair was a magnificent silver. After passing a few rows of books she said as much. "Your hair is so lovely, Poppy."

Emmy sighed as she sat in her office leaning back in her chair. She'd decided to take a break from grading the first test of the year. It was sad how uninformed everyone was about well everything. And it honestly killed her a little to see that Topaz had so far one of the highest scores.

Assignment: Divination at Gedonelune Throughout Time

Due: in 2 weeks time
Objective: Explore the role of Divination at Gedonelune whether in relation to alumni, staff, or the school itself. You are required to demonstrate the importance of Divination as a whole or in a specific form, using your research to supplement. As history does show, many witches and wizards have had the gift of exceptional Divination. Quite notably so is Blaire Orion who was able to communicate with those beyond the veil of life.

Kieran dusted the chalk from his hands and smirked at his handiwork, hoping that for once his class would work with the same passion he had been.

Klaus Goldstein
Klaus had been wandering through the school as he normally did before his next class. He had to detain Topaz again which wasn't a shock to him anymore. She was one of the students that just seemed to ignore her potential and there was nothing he could do about it.

He'd wandered into the gym finding Bastian there which wasn't entirely odd. "Observing students again Bastian?" He asked as he stopped beside his oldest friend.


Vincent (Vince) Bayles
"Leave me alone." Vince muttered as he tried to walk away from an annoying little stuffed penguin that kept following him around. He'd tried to disarm it but it wasn't his magic that had animated it so there wasn't much he could do except he wouldn't talk shit about the wolf around campus anymore. 'Are you sorry yet?' It mocked as it woddled around him. It wouldn't stop repeating the same thing over and over.

Finally his anger took over. He'd dealt with this fucking penguin for almost two hours and he was DONE. "Shut up and leave me alone!" He shouted as he kicked the damn thing sending it in some random direction shrieking though it didn't feel any pain at least he was almost sure it didn't. But it was a fucking stuffed animal what could happen it wasn't like it had real feelings.

As Poppy lead the way to where the necessary book was, Olivia followed slowly and made sure to take in some of the details of the library. The shelves were high and filled with so many books that some appeared to be bursting. To say it looked magical would be a laugh given it was a school for magic. She grinned, pleased with the talent of the other girl and reached up for the book Poppy couldn't quite get. "That's really impressive!" After finding that her fingertips hardly grazed the bottom of the spine, she turned to silent magic to levitate it down. "Got it, thank you so much. But back to that potion-making. You lot came up with that all on your own?" She was fascinated.

As the two girls talked, Olivia could feel excitement bubbling from within. A friend. She was finally making a friend. At the sweet offer, she was beaming. "That would be really amazing," she blurted in one breath. Instantly she wondered if maybe she was acting too friendly; pushy perhaps. "I mean, if you'd have the time or even want to, of course." She clutched the book to her chest and gave a small smile.

"Oui, I have Devereaux and Janvier," her smile had grown and grown but she shrugged her shoulders trying not to seem too excited. "Divination is alright, I don't see all the fuss and I quite adore classical arts so..." Brown fringe made its way into Olivia's eyes and she blew it away with annoyance. Back before she knew of her magical powers she was enamored with the idea of tarot cards and palmistry. There was a certain feeling towards it that grew after she realized the power that all true readers possessed. The fun was tainted for her after that. She took to toying with a loose string from her sleeve as she spoke, "Plus, they're both really dreamy don't you think?"
