Sawyer smiled when there were suddenly hands in front of her face, hands she knew to be Andrews. Not because she just knew exactly what his hands looked like or anything but because he literally did this every morning. "Morning Andrew," she said finally then turning to give him a quick kiss before pulling away so she could finish putting her things in her locker. "So Thorn, we're still on for tonight right?" She asked her friend hoping nothing had come up. Because well Sawyer loved Andrew, really she did, and she enjoyed spending time with him and his family and then, of course, there was Mekhi who she'd known almost as long as Andrew so of course she was used to hanging out with them both together sometimes too. But even she sometimes just needed girl time away from her boyfriend and just with a friend.
Mekhi had gotten used to the way Andrew acted when he was around Sawyer, or when he talked about her, and vice versa. He supposed that was just what happens when your two best friends have also known one another and been best friends since before they even really knew you. And also, when they end up falling in love. Which it wasn't really a surprise to him that they'd fallen in love hell the pair of them had pretty much acted like a married couple since way before now. And regardless of what people might've said about couples in high school Mekhi knew that the two of them were a love story that wasn't going to die. There was just no way they wouldn't end up married sometime after high school, and they'd actually be happy about it. Because well they were kind of made for each other. "What! Swayer, Thorn! You're hanging out without us?!" He said pretending to be shocked that they would even want to hang out without him and Andrew. It actually made sense that she might want time for herself with how often she was around them.
