Peace, Love, and... Hosts?

Akira slid into her desk on the first day of school at Ouran. Her hair was tossed up in a messy ponytail and her uniform fit just right, and she looked around the classroom to a few familiar faces. She saw a few of the famous Host Club members scattered about the seats, and her eyes rested for a moment longer on Kyoya Ootori, the brains behind the entire club. When she noticed she was staring, lost in the handsome angles of his face, and his dark hair falling into his eyes, she looked away quickly and saw Haruhi giggling with the twins. She was good friends with Haruhi, as she was kind in her words and her eyes, but she didn't want to disrupt the Hosts talking together to say hi. She slid down in her chair slightly, her eyes moving to the front of the classroom where the teacher was trying to calm them all down, to no avail.

Kaoru lent his head against Hikaru's shoulder as Haruhi told them an outrageous story about something Tamaki had done to her yet again in his plight to understand the lower class, which they felt like he should probably give up. They had both moved on to better things to investigate since then, and had big plans for the Host Club that year. Kaoru got quickly bored of the conversation and looked around the room, lingering on Sachi Akihara. She had become close to Haruhi and he had been introduced to her before, but had never really had a conversation. He thought she was very attractive, to the confirmation of his brother as well, and was brought back to the conversation when Hikaru brushed a hand through his hair.

Kyoya could feel eyes on him and looked up in time to see Akira Chiharu looking away quickly. He tilted his head curiously, intrigued by the attractive girl's interest in him. He would have to keep a close eye out to see if her staring at people was a regular thing for her. He could have also been imagining it, but he felt that was unlikely. In any case, his attention was brought back to the teacher who was trying to begin the lesson. He paid attention for a bit, but already knew what the teacher was trying to instruct them on so his gaze fell back on Akira. She seemed attentive to the teacher and he admired her for that. Unlike the twins, who were fidgeting and messing around, not paying attention to the lesson at all. Although he knew they were fine academically, he needed to look out for them and make sure they stayed that way. He tapped his black book with his pen, the last class of the day passing slowly. He had a million things to do to prepare for whatever crazy antics Tamaki had in mind for the Host Club today.

Sachi bit her lip, looking over at Haruhi and the twins. She wanted to go say hi, but was a little nervous to. She was friends with Haruhi, but didn't know the Twins all that well, and on top of it, she found them very attractive. Although they looked alike, Sachi's heart beat fast when she saw Kaoru. She'd admit to herself, and herself only, that she had a bit of a crush on Kaoru. It wasn't anything serious, but from the few times she had talked to him, she had found him to be very friendly, sweet, and playful. Of course, she had never really talked to him outside of Haruhi being there, so she couldn't say for sure what he was like. Maybe someday she'd work up the courage to talk to him one on one, but apparently right now wasn't that time as the teacher was trying to settle the class down.

Akira paid attention to the teacher throughout the lesson, but inside she was so excited she could feel her brain moving so fast with as many thoughts that were going through it. She intended on visiting the Host Club after school that day, and was excited to be able to see the Host Club in action. She had only heard about everything she anticipated, and was excited to see it for herself. When the final bell rang and signaled the end of class, she gathered together her things and glanced over to see Kyoya looking right back at her. Her cheeks colored pink considerably, and she hurried out of the classroom to find her locker so she could put her things away. Once she was done, she started making her way towards Music Room #3.

Kaoru had a hard time paying attention to the class as the time ticked down to the end of the day. He was excited to get to the Host Club and spend time flirting with all of the pretty ladies. His knee jumped up and down in anxiousness, and Hikaru's hand came to rest at the end of his leg in order to relax him. He stayed still until the bell, in which he got up with a flourish, leaning his arm against Hikaru's shoulder as they walked out of class side by side. Kyoya was following them as they made their way to the Host Club, and Kaoru opened the doors of Music Room #3 to find Tamaki already rushing around to set things up and make sure they were perfect for when the girls arrived. Kaoru and Hikaru settled themselves on the couch, splaying out over each other, Kaoru's head on Hikaru's chest as Hikaru ran his fingers through his hair.
