Two Worlds

"You're welcome," Charlie replied.

When it was time to go home, Violet was reluctant, but she was tired, which was reason enough for her to go with Johnny. They went out to the car and Johnny drove them home. Once they got in, he got her in bed and made sure she didn't get back up before he went to his room and sat on his bed. He stared at his phone before he sent Charlie a text. He was gonna have to convince his mom to get Violet a cell phone so he didn't have to text all her friends for her anymore.

Charlie smiled when she got the text back. It was nice to meet you today Vi.

Johnny looked at his phone. You too, Charlie. He put his phone aside and curled up under the covers, falling asleep.

Charlie laid in her bed, closing her eyes and fell asleep fairly quickly.

Johnny woke up the next morning to his bed bouncing and a body on top of him. He groaned and rolled over, staring up at Violet, who was shaking him and bouncing excitedly. "What?" he grumbled.

"Did she text you?" Violet asked.

Johnny groaned out, shoving her off the bed. "Go away," he grumbled.

Charlie was getting ready for a photo shoot she needed to do wondering if Violet or her brother would be up yet.

Violet grunted when she landed on her butt on the floor, standing up and grabbing Johnny's phone, taking off.

Johnny quickly got up and ran after her. "Violet, get your skinny ass back here!" he yelled.

"That's a dollar for the swear jar!" Violet called, running into the bathroom and locking herself inside.

Johnny pounded on the bathroom door. "Violet, come out!" he hissed.

Charlie started the photoshoot, modeling and posing like she was directed too.

"Mom!" Johnny yelled.

Violet unlocked Johnny's phone and read the text to Charlie before she texted her herself. Charlie! Hi!

Johnny's mom came up the stairs. "What's wrong?" she asked.

"Violet stole my phone and locked herself in the bathroom with it," he said, crossing his arms over his chest.

Their mom sighed and knocked on the door. "Violet, come out," she said.

Charlie heard her phone go off, asking for a break and looked at her phone. Hey Vi.

"No," Violet said. She looked down at the phone, texting back. I had so much fun last night.

Their mom thought for a moment. "If you come out, I'll get you a phone," she said.

Violet looked up. "Really?"

"You can't bribe her like that," Johnny said. "I didn't get my phone until I was 15, that's not fair."

"Hush," she hissed. "Really, Vi. Come on out."

Violet cautiously opened the door. "Will you take me to get it today?" she asked.

Their mom nodded. "Yes. Now give your brother his phone back," she said. "Then get ready and we'll go."

Violet nodded, quickly replying to the text. My mom's buying me a phone! She handed Johnny his phone back before rushing to her room to get ready.

Charlie chuckled, assuming that Violet had begged to get a phone. Let me know your number after you get it.

Violet and her mom spent the day at the phone store setting up her line and picking her out the phone she wanted. After getting a case for it, they got home and Violet rushed into Johnny's room. "Give me her number," she said eagerly, pulling her phone out.

"Why should I?" Johnny asked.

Violet narrowed her eyes and flicked his ear. "Give it!"

"Ow, you jerk!" He snatched her phone and put Charlie's number in it. "Now fuck off."

"Thanks, Johnny!" Violet chirped, sending Charlie a text. This is my phone number.

Charlie kept Johnny's number just in case, changing it to his name and put Violet's number with her name. Hey Vi.

Violet sat with her phone, realizing that Charlie was older than her and probably wouldn't want to hang out with her since she was a kid. So she came up with a little plan in her head. Do you like my brother?

I didn't really talk to him long enough to know.
