Don't Play With My Heart

Cleaning didn't take Kara too long, since between herself and Maria, the house wasn't too dirty. So while she waited on the first load of laundry to finish, she decided to do a little baking. There was a chocolate cake mix in the pantry and Kara was suddenly craving it. And she knew the boys would be happy to see a freshly baked cake when they got home. She pulled her hair up into a messy bun, moving around the kitchen methodically as she gathered up the ingredients. Before she started mixing them, Kara opened up Pandora on her phone, selecting her Avenged Sevenfold station before setting her phone on the counter. Sidewinder started to play and Kara smiled. She was sure Brian and Zacky would find it a little weird that she listened to their music, but Kara wouldn't have really been interested in pursuing a relationship with Brian if she didn't like the music he made.

Gavin glanced down at his phone when he felt it vibrate and smiled when he saw what Kenya had posted. Thanks, I will. But if I actually break my leg, I'm probably doing something really wrong. He posted the comment and sat his phone aside, pulling a menu close so he could decide what he wanted. He liked that Kenya still Santee to talk to him, but he couldn't help but wonder if it was just because she was upset about what had happened with Carter. He was a gentleman and he thought Kenya was a nice girl, but he didn't want to be sloppy seconds, especially to Carter. But it wasn't like he could flat out ask her, that would a little rude. And he probably wouldn't get an answer anyway. So for now Gavin figured it was just bet to leave things alone and see where they went on their own.

Carter eventually decided on a bacon cheeseburger, since he'd had breakfast last night. If they weren't playing a show that night he'd order both, but since they did have a show he couldn't or he might end up in a food coma or something. And the last thing he needed was to be lethargic for the show. Or what he hoped would happen afterwards. He noticed that Gavin kept glancing at his phone and smiling, and Carter was ninety nine percent sure why. It would be really awkward if Gavin and Kenya started to talk on a regular basis, especially if he started bringing her out to the house he and Carter shared. But then again, unless Gavin and Kenya started dating, that would give Carter easy access to being able to fuck Kenya whenever she would let him.

Brian relaxed more and more the longer they practiced. Guitar was the only thing that could get him to really calm down and let go of that enormous ego of his. Of course listening to Zacky play made him remember just how talented the guy was and he took a step back. Brain smiled as they finished up practice with one final song after a couple hours of practice. Matt pushed them while they were here.

Zacky was glad they were finishing up with the practice, he was starving. Zacky moved around their practice area enjoying the way that they were playing. He was just glad that they were all together and he loved playing his guitar in harmony to Matt feeling himself grow more confident on the stage. He was the puppeteer of the songs with his invisible strings leading the melody though he knew Matt could do it on his own really. Once they finished they all headed home. He and Brian laughed at the way Matt was whipped by his new girlfriend. They knew when it came to it they were all pretty much controlled by the women they loved. Not that they would ever admit it really.

Kenya looked at her phone and laughed out loud. He was rights. As the drummer it would be harder for him to actually break a leg. She pressed like on his comment before she set her phone away. She was prepping her dinners for the next week. She did it every so often when she knew she wasn't going to want to be at home cooking all the time. It also gave her something to do. As many friends as Kenya had she often felt alone. That didn't made her sad most the time but times like today after she had been left behind it was harder for her to not feel the loneliness. Kenya stayed busy on those days knowing it would pass. When she cooked she listened to music. She had an eclectic set of music on her phone which she also used as her music player set up to speaker. She sang along half the time swaying to the music the other part of the time. A Torn Red Thorns song came up and she was glad she had a pretty sound proof house because she always cranked the music up loud. She liked how it made her heart pound the thud of the drums leading her on, holding her up and the melody of Carter's voice swooning her emotions tearing her up inside. The song ended and she realized she was more upset about Carter than she realized. She sighed and shook her head. She was angry with herself mostly for giving into him but also angry with him for leaving like that. Sure it was just sex yes but he still should have said goodbye. But he wasn't interested in being friends. Kenya sighed and looked back at her phone on the counter in front of her as she chopped up vegetables. But Gavin seemed interested in being friends. That was all she was wanting. She didn't know why that was so important maybe because they had impacted her life so much with their music that she wanted to connect with hem on a different level. But she was still was carefully not to let her desires get the best of her. If Gavin wanted to be friends that was great if not that was okay. She really just needed to be herself and let it go. Kenya sighed and finished cutting then messaged gavin back. Just don't try to show off to much and you should be fine. She posted then chuckled imagining Gavin trying to drum while he stood on his stool and falling off. That would be so bad but Gavin wasn't that kind of show off.

Once the cake was in the oven, Kara turned off her music and went to go switch out the laundry. She took the clothes from the washer and put them in the dryer and then added another load to the washer. Sometimes there were so many clothes that Kara honestly thought Zacky and Brian changed clothes fifteen times a damn day. Once the clothes had switched out, Kara stretched out on the couch, flipping through the channels until she found something decent to watch. She grabbed a blanket from the back of the couch, pulling it over herself and curling up, closing her eyes. Last night with Brian had worn her out more than she realized and she decided that she should probably get a nap in while the boys were gone and the house was quiet.

Don't worry, I'm not a showoff. That's Carter's thing. After he hit send, Gavin was aware that it might've sounded like a jab at Kenya or otherwise might be misinterpreted. He wondered if the subject of Carter was a sensitive one for her or she had so many one-night stands that it didn't matter. Of course, not many women had one-night stands with a rockstar. Gavin sat his phone aside and turned back to the menu, looking over the breakfast section. Sure, he'd just had breakfast food a few hours ago, but it filled him up. He looked over the menu for a few more minutes and eventually decided on New York cheesecake pancakes. And some hash browns, because he loved IHOP's hash browns.

After the waitress came to take their orders, Carter turned to Tayo with a devious grin. He was bored, and when he was bored, he liked to embarrass Tayo and Gavin. It didn't help that they made it so fucking easy. "Not gonna hit on this waitress?" he teased. "I mean, after you got lucky last night with the Denny's waitress you think you'd be trying to continue the streak."

"Fuck off, Carter," Tayo grumbled.

Carter just laughed. Messing with his bandmates was too much fun. Next he turned to Gavin. "And we really need to get Gavin laid tongith, maybe he'll stop being so cranky. Hey, since you're getting so chummy with Kenya, maybe you should invite her to the show and screw her backstage at the venue. Do it from behind though, she likes it better that way."

Brain smirked as they got back home and he walked in seeing Kara sleep on the couch. He smiled and shushed Zacky as he came in with their surprise for Kara. Zacky immediately pipped down and he smiled at Brian who tried hard not to chuckle. Kara had been so good to them and they were worried they had pissed her off earlier in the last few days from the lack of outlets they had that they had bought her a little something nice just to say thanks. They really hoped she liked it. Brain took the box and opened it pulling out a puppy. They knew she needed some company when they weren't home so they got her someone to play with and they would all help out. Brain took the sleepy puppy and set her next to Kara on the couch. Brian smirked and they backed away slowly into the kitchen seeing the cake. Brain cut some slices as Zacky poured the milk and they sat at the table and waited.

It wasn't to long before Zacky went out to see if the puppy was still there. It had been half an hour and the puppy hadn't moved. Zacky sat down in the arm chair as Brain went up the stairs. He smirked as the puppy woke and then stretched looking around. It moved over to Kara's face and started to lick her face then gave a cute puppy bark that almost sounded more like a yelp. Brian came down with the puppy pads and the toys all opened spreading them out stopping to watch the puppy try to wake Kara.

Kenya looked at the message and nodded. She bit her lip. What was he saying here? Maybe she was reading to much into it. She sighed and just gave a simple reply. I noticed, but you don't need to. You shine all on your own rockstar. ;) Kenya posted and then sent him a privet message. Hey it's been really nice just talking with you. I appreciate it. Did you sleep well you seemed tired last night. She sent in the instant message and then packaged up her food and put it away finishing her cooking prep and cleaning up. She took a yogurt from the fridge and a water and sat back on her couch though in all honesty it was more of a love seat. She lived by herself so there was no need for really big furniture though she did have a big bed only because she liked to stretch out and she rolled in her sleep when she wasn't so tired or sleeping with someone. Kenya moved her music on the stereo in her living room and scrolled through her emails on her laptop from work replying to a few urgent ones but otherwise just catching up with what was going on.

Kara stirred from her sleep when she heard a loud sound near her ear. She was angry at first because she thought it was Brian or Zacky being stupid, but when she opened her eyes and saw a puppy, she was more surprised than angry. "What the hell...?" she mumbled, sitting up. She pulled the puppy into her lap, looking over at Zacky. "Who's dog is this?" she asked. She was going to be pissed if one of the guys got a dog without saying anything first, because that just meant there would be one other thing in this house to take care of. And they didn't have anything for the dog, like food or toys. But it was kind of cute, and Kara could already feel herself getting attached to the damn thing. "Is it a boy or a girl?" she asked Zacky. "And what's its name?"

"Yeah, fuck you, Carter," Gavin said. Unlike Tayo, he wasn't saying it jokingly. He knew Carter liked to brag about his sexual exploits, but this time it just seemed like he was rubbing it in their faces. Why thank you :) he replied to Kenya's comment before seeing her a notification for a private message pop up. He clicked on it and smiled when he saw that it was from Kenya. Hey, it's been nice to talking to you, too. I slept fine, thanks for asking. I was drunk so I was asleep almost as soon as I hit the pillow. How about you? And did you make it home okay? He felt that it was only polite to ask if Kenya made it home okay, especially since Carter had just left her in his hotel room. But he also really wanted to know, since he would hate to hear that anything bad had happened to her.

"You're just jealous," Carter said. Gavin was acting very cranky and Carter knew it wasn't because he was hungover, because hungover Gavin just grumbled when Carter fucked with him. Gavin was cranky for the exact same reason he kept looking at his phone and smiling. Sometimes Carter thought that Gavin was too much of a gentleman for his own good. They barely knew Kenya and Gavin knew how Carter was when it came to women, so there was no need for Gavin to get his panties in a bunch about Carter fucking Kenya and then leaving. "So should we stop by a Redbox and get a movie before we hit the road?" Carter asked. "It's gonna be a long fucking drive."

Brian smirked setting the water and food down in the kitchen. As he walked into the living room finishing putting down the toys Kara was already holding the puppy looking at Zacky accusingly. "It's yours silly. We wanted you to have company while we were gone and she was just to cute. " he said and smiled sitting down beside her. "I just put her crate in our bedroom too." he said after Zacky told her more.

Zacky chuckled as Kara woke up. He put his hands up as she started to get mad. Brian came down and saved him. "We didn't give her a name figuring that you would want to since she's your dog but we are here to help you raise her and stuff. Come on Kara she's so cute. You can't be mad. We thought this out... well the lady at the store did." he said and rubbed the back of his neck and reached into a bag he had and pulled out a puppy training book. "See?" he said and smiled hoping she would like the dog.

Kenya smiled seeing Gavin take her message. Yeah I did. It was a tiring drive but I got home in time to get a lot done. Thanks. So were exactly is your next concert? I didn't even look. I only looked for the days I had time off for. Kenya sent and then sighed yawning. She was tired. She hadn't expected to be so tired. Kenya bit her lip and stood turning off her computer and took her phone and went to her room and stripped crawling into bed. Kenya pulled a night shirt over her head and laid her head on her pillow picking up a book and starting to read as she waited on Gavin's reply. Kenya hugged her pillows missing having someone in her bed. It had been a while since she had a serious boyfriend. Her last one hadn't worked out. It hadn't been anything in particular they just wanted different things.

"I don't know..." Kara let her voice trail off. A puppy was a lot of work and she just didn't know if she had time to take care of her. Because even though Zacky said they'd help out, Kara wondered how long it would be before she was doing everything herself. And she had her hands full just taking care of the boys. "I wish you guys would've asked me about this first," Kara said. She sighed, looking down at the dog. "But I guess she can stay. I'm not cleaning up any shit, though. You guys brought her home, you clean it up." Kara sat the puppy down on the floor and curled her legs up on the couch. She knew she'd probably get attached to the dog eventually, but she really didn't like when people made big choices like this for her. Especially Brian, because it just felt like he was trying to exert control over yet another part of her life. "The pot roast is ready, by the way. I hope you didn't ruin your appetite by eating cake."

Not sure, you'd have to look on the website. I just kind of get on the bus and just go with the flow. Gavin knew he should probably know where their shows were, but this close to the end of the tour he just didn't really care. It was impossible to keep up, anyway. Gavin took a drink of his milk, looking up when the waitress arrived with their food. He was absolutely starving and his pancakes looked delicious. He cut off a little piece and stuffed it in his mouth, practically moaning at the taste. "This is fucking delicious, holy shit," he said, and Tayo chuckled. Gavin slugged Tayo on the arm as he reached for his phone. He pulled up his message thread with Kenya and snapped a picture of his pancakes. Next time you hit up IHOP I highly recommend the New York cheesecake pancakes. Fucking phenomenal.

Carter thanked the waitress as she placed his bacon cheeseburger in front of him, his mouth practically watering at the sight. He smeared some mayonnaise on the top bun and took a huge bite, hearing the lettuce crunch between his teeth. As he chewed his food he noticed Gavin taking a picture of his pancakes and rolled his eyes. Sometimes Gavin was a little weird. But he didn't use instagram all that much so why the hell was he taking a picture of his food? And then suddenly it dawned on Carter. He was probably sending it to Kenya, using it as some excuse to invite her to IHOP or some bullshit like that. But she probably lived hours away so no matter how much Gavin and Kenya talked, there would never be anything between them. At least Carter had gotten to fuck her. And he'd get to fuck another girl tonight, whereas Gavin would probably be alone in bed again.

Brain smiled and kissed her head pulling her feet into his lap and rubbing them. "Okay. I'll be on potty duty promise. "But you have to give her a name." he said and smiled at her. She probably didn't feel like it now but this was a good thing. Brain knew Zacky had been wanting a dog for a while too and Zacky didn't think jewels were enough to show Kara he was serious about her. "How did you know we even got into the cake?" he asked and looked over at Zacky who smiled guiltily. "Well I don't think we can ever loose our appetites honey." he said and chuckled. "What about you, are you hungry?"

Zacky smiled as Kara agreed. "We could name her Pots." he said knowing she wouldn't be able to say yes to such a terrible name and would have to come up with something just so he and Brain didn't name the dog something terrible. He smiled as she said she hoped they didn't ruin their dinner. "Come on mom you should know by now we're more like teenagers than kids we never stop eating!" he winked at her and scooped up the puppy playing with her in his lap. She would;t be a big dog but she sure would be cute.

Kenya chuckled as she looked at the food. Mmm that does look great. Maybe you'll have to make sure I get a chance to hit up IHOP one day. But for now enjoy it for me. I'm going to head to bed early though. I'm still tired from yesterday. I don't know how you all do it. Have a great concert and feel free to call me or text me any time Gavin. I meant it when I said I want to be friends. Good night and have fun as always. ;) Kenya sighed and rolled over in her bed. She didn't want to say good bye to Gavin but she knew he needed to focus and she needed to get some rest. She was hoping that it wasn't weird because she had slept with Carter. She liked Gavin a lot and she wasn't going to just give up on that amazing friendship because of a one night stand.

Kara rolled her eyes. "We're not naming her Pots, that's stupid," she said. "And I know you guys got into the cake because one, I know you and two, you're not fucking sneaky. And yeah I'm hungry. Unlike you two little piggies, I didn't eat a piece of cake." Kara smirked at the two boys as she got to her feet. She went into the kitchen and opened the crock pot, setting the lid off to the side before going to grab a few plates from the cabinet. "Come eat while it's still hot!" she shouted. "I'm gonna be pissed if I slaved away in the kitchen and you guys don't eat."Kara started to fix herself a plate, cutting off a piece of meat and spooning some vegetables onto her plate. She looked down when she felt something digging into her pants and saw the puppy staring up at her. "Hey puppy," Kara said. "I guess I should come up with your name, so we don't have to keep calling you puppy."

Hitting the hay really early! It's only four o'clock. But sleep well. Gavin sat his phone down and turned back to his pancakes. It seemed like Kenya had basically given him permission to ask her out. And Gavin was slightly considering it, but there was a still a little doubt in the back of his mind. She'd slept with Carter and Gavin was worried that if he and Kenya started something, the whole thing between her and Carter might get in the way. But he would like to at least be friends with her. "Man, I think I might have to take a nap while we're on the road," Gavin said, reaching for his glass of milk. "I'm beat." He was sure they'd all take a nap on the way to the next show, since none of them had gotten much sleep last night.

"Me, too," Carter said. He munched on a french fry and smirked. "Gotta get rested up for tonight." Tayo and. Gavin rolled their eyes and Carter chuckled. He really did have a lot of fun messing with them. He knew Tayo would probably try and get laid that night too, but he wondered if Gavin would. The drummer liked to think he was so high and mighty and innocent - and Carter was sure that's what Kenya thought - but he slept with just as many girls as Tayo and Carter. Once he'd even fucked a girl after Carter and Tayo already had. And it wasn't like Gavin and Kenya were dating, so Gavin couldn't use that as an excuse.

Brain chuckled and stood following her into the kitchen watching the puppy go running past him towards Kara. "Look Babe she loves you already. It was love at first sight for her." he said and kissed her cheek. "And we only have one slice don't you worry." he said and grabbed bowls then got some food after her for him and Zacky. Brian walked out and handed his friend the food. They sat down and looked at the tv. "Babe you want to rent a movie on demand?" he asked.

"Well if we can't name her Pots then what are we naming her Kara?" Zacky asked and thanked Brain when he hated him food. He smiled and dug in. "Mmm." he groaned happily. "Oh hey there's that new zombie movie uhh Pride, Prejudice and Zombies." he said figuring Kara would say no but he had to try something maybe there was one she would agree to.

Kenya couldn't help but look at Gavin's last message and she chuckled. Okay so it might be a nap I haven't decided yet. But seriously now I am sleeping. Kenya chuckled and set her phone on silent and then rolled over again. She pulled the cover over her head then pushed it back down to under her chin and sprawled out over her bed sighing as she closed her eyes. Kenya couldn't help her mind drifting to Gavin. She really hoped that something would would work out there and it wouldn't be weird cause she slept with Carter. She sighed and shook her head closing her eyes. She had to stop thinking about it like that. If she made a big deal of it then so would they. That was how it worked but if she didn't worry about it things could just happen naturally.

"I don't know what we're naming her, I gotta think about it," Kara answered, walking into the living room. The puppy followed her, right on her heels. She made a face at Zacky's movie suggestion as she sat down next to Brian. "No, that movie sounds dumb, give me the remote," she said. She reached over and snatched it from Zacky's hand and started scrolling through the on-demand movies. "Ooh, there's Patch Adams." She scrolled a little more, smiling when she saw one of her favorite movies ever. "Oh my God, they have A Time to Kill!" Kara shouted excitedly. "I hate to say it, but we're watching this whether you guys like it or not." She knew the guys wouldn't mind and even if they did, they wouldn't say anything. She had both of the boys wrapped around her little pinky finger, although for different reasons.

Alright well either way, I hope you sleep well. And if you message me later and I don't reply, it's probably because I'm at the show. Gavin hit send, setting his phone down and returning his attention to his food. He was usually never this distracted when it came to food, so that probably said something. But now that Kenya was supposedly asleep, he could focus all of his attention on his pancakes and making the grumbling in his stomach go away. He wondered what Kenya's intentions were for talking to him or what she expected to happen. He was sure she wasn't talking to him specifically to get close to him and he believed that she just wanted to be friends with him.

Carter finished his burger and pushed his plate away, leaning back in his chair and rubbing his stomach. "Man, I am stuffed," he said. "Now I'm really looking forward to that nap." The next time the waitress came over, he asked for his ticket and Tayo and Gavin did the same. He was sure they were all ready for a little nap. He paid his ticket, leaving a nice little tip before getting to his feet and stretching his arms over to his head. "Alright fellas, I say it's time to get our asses back to the bus."

Brian chuckled as Kara took the controller from him. He picked up the puppy by their feet and petted her till she laid down on the couch. He smirked and scratched her ear then continued to eat his food. He liked having the puppy around and after he was done eating he would take her out to go potty just in case to show Kara he was serious about helping her out with the puppy and then hopefully she could name the poor thing. Brain smiled as Kara squealed. "What ever makes you happy love." he said.

Zacky laughed as Kara saw the movie. "Don't we have that on DVD somewhere?" he asked and ran a hand through his head going to make a mental note if they didn't what he would get her for her birthday. Zacky was more than happy to watch the movie because he hadn't seen it before. Or if he had he had been to drunk to remember. Zacky had been making more of an effort lately to not be so drunk but it seems Brian on the other hand had made the opposite decision.

Kenya was with her friend Ryelynn uptown for the night. They were sporting nice club wear and were window shopping after dinner before they were planning on going to the clubs up there later. Kenya had been working extra shifts the past week and needed to let off steam. She had already had a glass of wine and was feeling pretty good though she wasn't even buzzed, just warm. She laughed with Ryelynn as they came out of one of the stores. "I don't know why they charge more for the same thing in different locations." Ryelynn said and Kenya chuckled. "Location location location. The only three words you need to know as a realtor. Maybe I should quit my job and become a realtor." she said and now Ryelynn laughed. "I might join you." she said and they walked down the street. Kenya pushed her hair back being her shoulder and then they stopped to look in the window at Tiffany's but neither girl was daring enough to actually go in. "Uhh I could pay my apartment bis for a year with some of these price tags." Ryelynn said and Kenya chuckled. "Yes but it wouldn't sparkle nearly as much." she said and both girls laughed.

"Doesn't matter if we do, we're still watching it now," Kara said. She ordered the movie and sat the remote aside, leaning back against the couch and eating her food. When she'd had her fill, she sat the bowl on the table next to the remote and pulled the puppy into her lap. She scratched the dogs ears absentmindedly as she watched the movie. She should probably start thinking for names for the dog, but she didn't know where to start. But she supposed she could always google it. She reached for her phone, pulling up google and typing in 'names for female puppies'. Kara clicked on the first link and started scrolling through the list. "Aww, how about we name her Lady?" Kara suggested. "Like from Lady and the Tramp? She even looks like the same kind of dog." Kara looked down at the puppy in her lap. "Hey Lady," she cooed. "Yeah, I think you look like a Lady."

Hey man, bring me back an iced caramel macchiato. Gavin rolled his eyes at the text message for Carter. It was so like the singer to wait until Gavin went out to run errands before he asked for things. But maybe Gavin shouldn't have told him he was about to go to Starbucks. "Yeah, let me get a venti iced caramel macchiato and a venti cinnamon chai latte," Gavin said to the barista, fishing out his wallet. When the drinks were ready, Gavin carried Carter's in the carrier, sipping on his as he left the coffee shop. He should've waited to go to Starbucks, since it was nice uptown and he'd walked a little ways away from his car. As he walked back to his car, he spotted what he thought was a familiar face up ahead in the crowd. He pulled out his phone and opened his messages. Isn't Tiffany's a little out of your price range? he sent to Kenya.

While Gavin was gone doing who knows what, Carter decided to kick back and watch a little TV. He really should clean a little, but that's what they had a maid for. And he couldn't order out for dinner until Gavin got back and they could agree on something. He wished he knew how long Gavin was going to be gone, because then he'd know if he had time to invite s girl over. But then again, Gavin had said he was stopping by Starbucks and that was always the last place he went before he came home.

Brain chuckled and shrugged. Once he finished his food he stood and plucked the puppy from Kara. "Well what ever her name we need to take her potty. Be right back." he kissed Kara's cheek then walked out the back with a leash. He tok in the back in the grass with the dog hoping she would sniff around and to pee. He wasn't going to stand there very long , ten minutes maybe. He looked at the puppy. "Lady huh? I think it suits you." he said and then looked back at the house. He could tell Kara liked the puppy even if she was hesitant at first.

Zacky smiled and nodded. "I like it... Lady." he said and chuckled. "But we are not getting a tramp. I don't care what you say Kara we can only do one dog." he said and smirked. Zacky stretched and then grabbed the dishes. "I guess it's my turn." he said and gently squeezed Kara's shoulder. "You know he means well." Brain said feeling like somehow something was of between Kara and Brian and it made him nervous. Once dinner was put away and cleaned up he went back to the living room seeing Brain set the puppy right back were he had taken her from in Kara's lap.

Kenya pulled her phone out of her pocket and looked at the text and then who it was from frowning then she looked up and around. Her eyes hurriedly looked through the crowd until she saw Gavin. She felt like she could squeal but she smiled so big. "Gavin!" she said and then ran over to him and tossed her arms around him and kissed his cheek. It had been a few weeks since the concert and they had been talking a little over Facebook and through texting but nothing serious between them. She pulled back and chuckled. She was glad she hadn't made him loos his grip on the drinks. She blushed softly and chuckled. "Look at you you're here!" she said and blushed. "How are you here?" she asked. Ryelynn came up behind her and raised an eyebrow. "Kenya you going to introduce us?" She asked and Kenya blushed really not wanting to but she did anyways. "Oh Gavin this is my friend Ryelynn." she said and then looked at Ryelynn. "And this is Gavin... Umm yeah he's a friend." she said and shifted then looked back at Gavin. "So what are you doing here?"

Kara smiled at Zacky as he took the dishes, her smile turning to a look of confusion when he mentioned something about Brian meaning well. Was he talking about the dog? Because Kara couldn't think of what else he could be talking about. Kara sat on the couch watching TV for a little while longer before she got to her feet. "Hey, tell Brian I went upstairs to take a shower," Kara called out to Zacky. She went upstairs, grabbing some clean clothes before slipping into the bathroom. She brushed out her hair as she shimmied her hips, letting her pants fall to the floor. Setting the brush on the counter she pulled off her shirt, frowning when she spotted the hickey on her neck. She just couldn't wrap her head around the fact that Brian thought it was okay to continually give them to her when he knew that she didn't like it.

Gavin chuckled as he watched Kenya and her friend. He could tell by the look on the other girl's face that she was a fan of his band. "I live up here," Gavin said, answering Kenya's question. "Well not here uptown specifically, but not too far from here. I was just out running a few errands. And picking up drinks for me and Carter, because he's a lazy asshole." Gavin chuckled again, looking at Kenya and her friend, surveying their outfits. "So what are you guys doing up here? I don't think you're running errands, not in those outfits, at least." They looked like they were going out to hit the clubs, which were pretty popular among their age group. Carter liked to go there sometimes to find a girl to sleep with, and although Gavin did it less often, sometimes he did, too.

When it had been thirty minutes since Gavin said he was leaving Starbucks, Carter was starting to wonder where the hell he was. It didn't take that long to get to their house from uptown. He wanted his drink and he was hungry, but he couldn't order anything until Gavin got home. He decided to text Gavin and pulled out his phone. Hey man, what the fuck is taking you so long? I'm starving. Maybe traffic was bad or something. But still, Gavin needed to hurry up. And Carter was thinking that after they are they could go scope out the clubs, since Carter hadn't gotten laid in a few days. But if Gavin stayed out too late they'd eat late and then get to the clubs late, which meant that all of the hot girls would be gone and all that would be left is the ugly, desperate girls.

Zacky nodded as Kara left. "Yeah." he said and sighed rubbing the back of his neck. Once Brian came back in he told him were Kara had gone once he had looked around then looked at Zacky questioningly. Zacky sighed seeing that look in Brian's eyes knowing he was going to do something stupid. Zacky placed the dog in his lap were Kara had been earlier and marched up the stairs. Zacky sighed wondering if they were going to fight or make awful loud sex. Zacky shook his head and picked up the controller and started a video game.

Brain came into the house after taking Lady to the bathroom and expected to see Kara finishing watching her show. When he saw the room empty he looked to Zacky and frowned. He put the puppy in his lap. The pup had had a big day and he needed to talk to Kara. He walked up the stairs and into the bedroom. He knocked on the bathroom door. "Kara." he called his voice cold and chipped. "Open the door." he said and ran a hand through his hair. Brain sounded tired and there was something else there. He leaned against the doorframe waiting for Kara to hurry up and open the door. He didn't car if she wanted a shower he needed to talk. This was nothing him.

Kenya smiled when Gavin said he lived up here. What were the chances? She chuckled when he complained about Carter. "Carter lives up here too?" she asked blushing. She hadn't been up here in a long time and she never use to come out here a lot but it had felt like the thing to do earlier. Now Gavin was here. His eyes moved over her and she blushed bitting her bottom lip until their eyes met and she looked down and pulled at the bottom of her red dress. Kenya hadn't thought about someone she knew seeing her in it other than Ryelynn who was dressed in something similar and even a little shorter. Kenya looked back up at Gavin and smiled. "We went to dinner then we were just window shopping waiting till the part really was going. So yeah we were going to the club." she said and smiled softly a little embarrassed. Ryelynn chirped in then. "Well you should call up Carter and come join us." she said and smiled hungrily her eyes eating Gavin up. It was obvious that she would like nothing better than to get her hands on him. Kenya looked at Ryelynn and then back at Gavin. "I mean if you wanted to. We'll be there for a while. It would be nice to see you some more." she said softly and wondered what it would be like to see Carter again. She hoped different because she wouldn't be wanting to sleep with him again. It was a one time thing. And with how she knew Gavin now she wasn't sure she could sleep with Carter again like that. She would feel bad, though it didn't make a lot of sense it was just how it was.

Kara barely heard Brian shouting over the noise of the shower. She thought he sounded irritated but she couldn't understand why. "You're going to have to wait, I'm already in the shower," she called back, working shampoo through her hair. She wasn't about to drop what she was doing just to go talk to him. It seriously couldn't be that important and could probably wait until after Kara got out of the shower. And if it really was that important, the bathroom door was unlocked. "What do you want, anyway?" she asked. Kara wondered if she'd done something to piss Brian off, although she didn't know what she possibly could have done. He seemed perfectly fine when he took Lady outside to use the bathroom.

"Yeah, we're roommates," Gavin said, answering Kenya's question about Carter. He wondered how she felt about that, or if she even still thought about Carter. He obviously hadn't been her first, because she was absolutely gorgeous and Gavin was sure she had guys falling all over her. "Um yeah, I'll see what Carter thinks about it when I get home," Gavin said to Kenya's friend. He felt his phone vibrate and when he checked it saw that he had a message from Carter. "Speaking of home, I'd better get back there before Carter starts eating the couch or something." He laughed. "But if we decide to hit the club, I'll let you know."

"Man, finally you fucking get home," Carter said when Gavin walked through the door. He took the drink from Gavin and took a big sip through the straw, sighing happily. "Anyway, what should we order for dinner? I'm thinking Indian." Carter reached for his phone, pulling up the number of the Indian place they always ordered from. He was barely aware of Gavin talking, but he zoned back in when he heard the drummer mention Kenya's name. "They want us to go to the club with them?" Carter asked. When Gavin nodded, Carter smirked. "Hell yeah. But I've gotta ask, is her friend hot?"

Zacky was relaxing as the puppy started to play. He smirked and paused the game getting not he floor and playing with he puppy with the toys. The puppy instantly picked it's favorites. "Lady..." he chuckled. "It's something only Kara would come up with." he said and rubbed the puppy's belly playfully. He chuckled and was honestly really glad they had a dog even if Kara and Brian weren't so into it. Zacky knew dogs knew people better than anyone else and he was looking forward to getting to know the puppy and for her to get to know them. He wondered how she would grow up. Dogs fascinated him most the time because they were so human like in a lot of ways.

Brain cursed and pulled of his shirt and tossed it into he basket. He laid on the bed waiting for her. The longer he waited the more irritated he got. It was all just piling up on him and it seemed to be crashing in right then. He was tired and tipsy. Everything else that seemed little was just magnified that much more and he was going to tel Kara all about it. He sat up on the bed angrily as he waited then he got up and paced. Brian had never been really calm and patient. Though he wasn't a pig with Kara, he had needs and when they weren't getting met he felt out of control. He had tried everything to please Kara and nothing seemed to be working. He was loosing his reserve but he loved Kara and couldn't just let her go.

Kenya was surprised that Carter was Gavin's roommate. "Oh that's got to be... interesting." she smiled and nodded as he said it was Carter on the phone. "Oh okay. It was good to see you again." She said and gave Gavin a quick hug. Kenya bit her lip stepping back from his side. "Yeah text me if you do." she said and then smiled again waving him off. Ryelynn grabbed her arm already whispering to her excitedly. Kenya waited until Gavin was out of sight before she let Ryelynn pull her away. "What?" she asked and her friend smacked her arm. "You totally have a thing for Gavin!" she said and Kenya blushed. "Shut up." she said playfully and they laughed headed towards the club. "You do and it's freaking adorable! He is so cute though and he's so sweet. I had no idea. And this Carter he was talking about... There's history there isn't there?" she asked and Kenya blushed and laughed it off. "It was one night! I just was drunk and well turned on and I needed someone to take it out on. So there. But Gavin... He is sweet and I don't know he's more like boyfriend material. It's weird though. He's like this big deal and I just don't want to rush things. We're friends and until... if he wants to change that then I will let him make that move. I won't be a weird groupie that's just creepy!" she said and poked her friends side. "Miss ogle much." Kenya said and Ryelynn laughed. "I know me some fine ass when I see it!" she said and they laughed walking into the club and headed towards the bar for some shots before moving onto the dance floor. Ryelynn liked to get Kenya drunk when ever she could she said it made Kenya loosen up. Kenya didn't care as long as she had a safe ride home.

Kara rolled her eyes as she got out of the shower, hearing Brian pacing outside in their bedroom. She had no idea what his problem was. There was absolutely no reason for him to be acting like this. She wondered who'd put the stick up his ass and why the hell he'd think it was okay to take it out on her. She dressed quickly and yanked the brush through her hair, grabbing up her dirty clothes to toss into the basket. "So what the hell is so important that you're out here pacing?" Kara asked tossing her clothes into the basket. Looking at Brian she could tell he was a little drunk, which made his behavior make a little more sense. But that didn't make it excusable. Brian had been drinking more often lately and Kara didn't like it. "How much have you had to drink?" Kara asked, crossing her arms over her chest, glaring at Brian.

Gavin rolled his eyes. "I'm not sure, I wasn't really paying attention," he said. He told Carter what he wanted to eat from the Indian restaurant and then reached for the remote, flipping aimlessly through the channels. He'd honestly been looking forward to relaxing tonight, but now that he thought about it, going out to a club might be a little fun. And Kenya would be there, which was a huge added bonus. The food arrived about fifteen minutes later and Gavin ate slowly, listening to Carter prattle on and on about how he hoped he'd get lucky tonight. Gavin honestly hoped that he would, just so he'd shut the fuck up. "So I figured we'd head out to the club after we're done eating, after we get ready." There wasn't much getting ready to do, just changing clothes and slapping on a little cologne. But it was necessary.

"Fuck yeah, sounds like a plan," Carter agreed. He ate a little more quickly, eager to get out of the house and have a little fun. He was sure Kenya's friend was hot, because most hot girls had hot friends. And with Gavin distracting Kenya, surely it wouldn't be too hard to drag her friend off to the bathroom. He wondered if she'd be okay with sucking his dick at the club, because that would be nice. Once he was finished eating, Carter took his plate into the kitchen and set it in the sink. "I'm gonna go change clothes," he said to Gavin, heading upstairs to his room. He pulled a pair of ripped jeans and a tighter T-shirt from his dresser and changed, taking a few seconds to admire himself in the mirror before going back downstairs.

Brain looked up at Kara came into the room calming for a moment until she started to bitch at him. He reached for the closest thing and slammed it on the ground. "Fuck Kara is it so hard to believe I want to be around you all the god damn time?! Who fucking cares how much I had to drink. The only reason I drink is to try and not think about how my girlfriend who I have fallen in love with is pushing me away! You complain about me doing anything now a days. I want to buy you a puppy and you complain, I love on you and you complain about the hickey, I want to call you sexy and you tell me you don;t like to be naked in front of me! Fuck Kara who do you want to be naked in front of huh? Do you even fucking love me anymore. I have to beg you to love me, to let me love you and it's not good enough. What the fuck?! I don't get it. We were spending good time together and you run up here and barricade yourself in the bathroom! I was gone 10 minutes trying to show you I am going to follow through and help you out with the damn dog and you fucking leave like you don't give a shit about my promise, about my effort, about my company. Is there someone else that you're giving all of this too huh?" he moved towards her. "Is that why you push me away?" he said grabbing her wrist to pull her close his grip a little tight but nothing painful.

Zacky stopped hearing Brain yelling and he hung his head picking up the puppy as it whimpered. He sighed and turned not he video game just for the music, the noise anything but to listen to Brain's insecurities he was taking out on Kara. Zacky wanted to leave but he didn't want Brain to accidentally hurt Kara in his drunken stage. So he said there on the floor the game going the dog in his lap as he petted the thing to calm her down. Zacky knew Brain was fucking this up. He ran a hand through his hair already starting to miss Kara. He knew she would have to leave him. This was Zacky's pattern.

Kenya smiled as she and Ryelynn danced on the floor. She could feel the eyes on them as they moved together. Ryelynn was a little more handsy than Kenya was usually comfortable with but she let it go the alcohol crossing through her and her mind on Gavin. He lived so close. All she wanted was to see him again. It felt even better being close to him than it had last time. Either it was that she was level headed or that he was so familiar in a way she didn't know. Ryelynn slapped her ass and Kenya squeaked. "Rye!" she laughed and stepped back. Ryelynn laughed and took her hand leading her off the floor were they drank a bunch of water and yelled over the music in some dark corner. Kenya couldn't help but keep looking around wondering if she would see Gavin. Ryelynn snapped her fingers. "Kenya he'll call. Trust me you're so fucking hot tonight that he couldn't possibly not come and feel like any kind of a man." she said and laughed. Kenya blushed and smiled. "Thanks Rye." Ryelynn laughed. "You should have seen how he was eating you with his eyes the way his eyes traced over you, like he wished he could just get his hands on you. Relax he digs you." She said and Kenya laughed softly. "Thanks Rye." she said and hugged her friend. She didn't know if it was true but on some level she did.
