Zacky seemed to relax as soon as he stepped through the threshold into his bedroom. His shoulders sagged as he kicked off his shoes, leaving them in a haphazard pile by the desk. He took the steps slowly, only to turn to face Brittney once he reached the bed. Letting out a ragged breathe, Zacky let himself fall back onto the mattress. He closed his eyes and let out a few breathes before he sat up, looking toward Brittney.
Returning home always put him in a good mood, it meant that all of his time was his. He didn't have to be here at a certain time or there because he was being paid to. While Zacky loved his work, with little room for doubt, that didn't mean he enjoyed being chaperoned around like a child a majority of the time. He patted his knee, his arms slipping around Brittney's waist when she took a seat. He let out a quiet sigh, settling his head on her shoulder. "It feels good to finally be home," he commented quietly. "Maybe we can go to the boardwalk later, show you what Huntington Beach is all about. What do you think?"
