Danny came up out of the water to sit next to Niko. "Yes, it is," he murmured, kissing the corner of Niko's mouth. His fingers intertwined with Niko's. "God, you're gorgeous," he mumbled.

Niko grinned a little, shrugging a shoulder.

"That's half my people's thing, luring in sailors with our looks and song," he squeezed Danny's hand gently, grin dropping into a smile. "Thank you, though."

Danny frowned, releasing Niko's hand then, though he did lean in to kiss the other male. He couldn't get enough of Niko - the other was driving him crazy. He didn't care that it was dark out, or that they were from two different worlds.

Niko leaned into the kiss, a shiver running down his spine at both the feel of Danny's lips against his and his damp hair on his bare back. The air was cooling, and the water on his skin with it, although he was reluctant to prompt Danny to clothe himself again.

Danny's lips moved down to Niko's neck. He shivered, too, but he was scared of leaving Niko's side again. He hesitantly pulled Niko in closer to him

Niko tilted his head back with a content sigh, shifting towards the warmth of Danny's body as he pulled him closer, draping his arms over the other man's shoulders.

"No one will be missing you?" he questioned softly.

Danny hummed in response against Niko's neck, but pulled away slightly. "Nah. I'm on night duty. This is more fun, though." He kissed Niko's lips again, tugging on his bottom lip slightly.

Niko grinned into the kiss and laughed softly in agreement. He threaded a hand through Danny's hair, pulling a little and resting his forehead against Danny's.

"If this is your new technique of keeping my kind distracted then I think I wholeheartedly approve," he told the other man, punctuating his words with quick kisses.

Danny smiled against his lips. "Nah. There's only one you, and I don't want anyone else," he spoke softly, nuzzling into Niko. He couldn't imagine falling for anyone else, though the thought had crossed his mind a few times. He felt content here, which was more than he could say about home.

"Flattery will get you anywhere," Niko murmured, lips curled into a small smile. He leant further into Danny's touch and warmth, finding comfort in the contact, but at the same time wondering how entirely legitimate it was. This was what his people did, after all, even without intention, there were whole poems written about the seductive wiles of Siren's- although admittedly they were often over romanticised- but it wouldn't be the first time he'd unintentionally drew someone in, only to find their feelings hollow.

Danny started to pull away, biting on his lip. "It's getting too dark out," he commented, "but I'd love to get to know you better still... Any suggestions?" He kissed Niko's lips, his hands pressing against the other's chest lightly.

Niko paused for a moment, chewing his lip thoughtfully as he looked at the man before him.

"I've a loft over my store," Niko offered. "Which I really should get back to for the night, I heard the woods can be dangerous sometimes," he grinned a little, "but if that interfere's with your... job, I do tend to frequent this lake."

Danny nodded in approval. "No. They'll never notice I'm gone anyway." He stood up reluctantly, holding out his hand for Niko. He tilted his head to the side slightly, shivering again. It was a bit cold out, and his damp skin didn't help matters.

He took Danny's hand, hauling himself to his feet. Niko's skin was still damp, and his hair wet, but that didn't stop his worn top from being a welcome relief from the chill. He dressed quickly, pocketing his belongings and only half watching Danny from behind a curtain of hair as he laced his boots.

Danny slipped back on his clothes as well, looking to Niko as he reached for his weapons. "I have to bring these, but I swear to you, I will not use them..." He sidled back to Niko, taking his hand. "Lead the way," he murmured quietly. Then he added on, "My knight in shining armor."

"We all have our weapons," Niko said with a small shrug, "it just so happens you humans have to make you're own."

He began leading Danny away from the lake, throwing a grin over his shoulder at the knight in shining armour comment.

"Your physique doesn't quite suit a damsel," he teased. "But I suppose we can let it slide."

Danny grinned. "Oh? And yours does?" he teased back, following behind Niko. He was curious to see where Niko lived, and excited too. "Besides, everyone can tell you're the handsome one," he said softly.

"And once again we return to my species' disposition," Niko reminded Danny, "You're doing rather well, especially for human standards. Not that the flattery need continue, I'm already taking you home, aren't I?"

He adjusted his hand in Danny's, linking their fingers together and running his thumb over the back of Danny's hand.

Danny looked down, biting on his lip. "But it makes you smile. I love seeing you smile. And everything I'm saying is true..." He looked up, smiling shyly, as Niko adjusted their hands.

"You're ridiculous," Niko said, smiling despite himself and bumping his shoulder against Danny's.

The trees thinned as they approached the edges of the town, Niko's home not far from the outskirts.
