Natalie woke up the next morning before Matt did, quietly processing what he had said the night before. She began running her fingers through his hair and decided she was going to tell him she felt the same way even if she only had the courage to tell an unconscious Matt. "I love you too," she mumbled. "I'm sorry I didn't say it back last night." She honestly loved that he had fallen asleep with his head on her chest and his arms wrapped around her waist protectively.
"I could honestly see myself having a life with you," she admitted. "Kids, the family pet and the stupid white picket fence." She sighed softly as she stopped playing with his hair, knowing admitting all of this to Matt while he was asleep was pathetic.
