    Alexis

Alexis looked up at the new house that her older sister Skylar, their mother and their new step-father and brothers were now going to be living in.

Neither of the girls were happy about it. Drystan, one of Alexis' new brothers, had been her high school crush for a while now but he always tormented her. Now with them living under the same roof, Lex wasn't sure how much of him she could take.

"I can't believe mom went through with this." Alexis sighed and looked at her sister.

    --

    Zane

Zane stood outside with his younger brother Drystan and their father. His new step mom and sisters had just pulled up.

Everything would have been cool except for the fact that about a month before he found out that his dad was marrying Skylar's mom, Skylar and him had hooked up and now things were awkward because she was his sister.

"This is going to be one of hell of an adjustment." Zane sighed.

(I'm sorry if this sucks and if you would rather write in first person let me know and ill change it)

(Don't worry about it! And, no worries; I prefer third person. First person kind of makes me feel awkward. xD)

    Skylar

With a sigh, Skylar looked up at the new house but frowned slightly when she spotted the others - more specifically, when she spotted Zane. This was going to be beyond awkward and she really didn't want to be bothered with it.

"Yeah, this is pretty crazy," she agreed with Lex easily, her attention going to her sister before she sighed again. "I'd rather go live with dad, honestly."

Because, even with their father's new girlfriend, that would be a lot less awkward than living in the same house as Zane. Taking a breath, Skye climbed out of the car. If she could just survive one year here, then she could leave. She could go to college next year and forger everything, including the one night stand with her new step-brother.
    Drystan

This was the last thing that Drystan wanted to deal with, honestly. Not only had his father remarried, but it was to Alexis' mother, which was going to take some getting used to. At the same time, though, it was also a good thing, because it gave him a chance to be around her without his friends around.

Not that it would do much for them, he knew, since Alexis was now his step-sister and his feelings for her were going to have to be buried. If he could manage that.

Blinking to his brother's words, he looked over, but soon offered a nod. "You're telling me," he muttered. "Guess we should go pick rooms or something, so we can start unpacking?" Maybe he could help Alexis unpack, but he wasn't sure if she'd be okay with that.

    Alexis

"Let's get this over with." She sighed as she got out. She had to agree with her sister, going to live with their dad would be a better option...but at least Skye only had to stay a year. Alexis had to stay two years before she could go to college.

She grabbed her things and began walking up to the house. Her new step-brothers had already gone inside, probably to pick rooms.

The inside of the house was beautiful, much better than their two bedroom apartment that she shared with her mom and sister after her parents divorced.

She headed upstairs, finding a room at the end. She sat her first few suitcases down and went to go get her boxes.

    --

    Zane

Zane headed inside and upstairs. He saw Alexis go into the room at the end. He wanted that room because it had a balcony, but there was no use in complaining. He chose the room by the top of the stairs.

He sat some of his stuff down and headed back to the moving van for the rest of his belonging. As he did, he almost ran into Skylar. "Sorry, Skye, didn't see you over these boxes." He managed to get out.

    Drystan

Having gone straight to a room, Drystan had already set his things down. When he came back out, though, he noticed that the room next to his was open and quirked a brow as he made his way over. Peeking into the doorway, he spotted Alexis.

"Hey," he greeted as he tilted his head. "Do you need any help unpacking?"

Really, he wasn't even sure if she had all of her things in yet. He knew he still had a few trips to make himself. But, offering his help wasn't such a bad idea, either, was it?
    Skylar

Skylar paused when she heard his voice, her eyes focusing on the boxes so she wouldn't have to look at him. "It's fine," she told him before she frowned. "Can you... not use that nickname, though? My mom knows that we have classes together, but she has no idea how close we were, so..."

Sighing, she looked up at him. "So, no nickname. I don't want my mom finding out. I can't ruin her happiness with your dad."

Because her mom really did seem happy, a lot happier than the last years with Skye's and Lex's father. Sighing, she stepped around him. "What rooms are left?" she asked, "Since I'm sure everybody else has picked theirs."

    Alexis

Alexis jumped when she heard her name and matched it to Drystan's voice. She looked at him and felt the butterflies in her stomach wake from their sleep.

"Sure...uh if you want to help, I mean." She said.

She had to be nice to him. She began hanging her tapestries up. "Just stay away from the box labeled P&B." She said. Those were her bras and panties, he didn't need to see those.

    --

    Zane

"Sure...sorry." Zane said. He didn't want to make things anymore awkward so he would follow her wishes. He looked at her when she asked about the rooms.

"The one next to mine shouldn't be taken. Your sister took the one at the end and Drystan's probably taken the one next to that." Zane explained.

    Drystan

"Oh? What's in the P&B box?" Drystan asked with mild curiosity. On normal occasions, he would probably mess with her box just to annoy her, but he really didn't want to be on her bad side the first day of them all moving in together. Especially when he was trying to get on her good side.

Moving over, he opened one of the boxes and began looking through it. "Where do you want everything, anyways? Did you bring decorations for your new room?" Socializing was a little difficult when he wasn't even sure what she liked to talk about.

    He could still try, though.
    Skylar

Skylar couldn't help but sigh at the mention of taking the room next to his. As if things wouldn't be awkward enough as it was. Part of her worried that he'd bring girls home and she'd have to listen to them through the walls. She wasn't sure why, but she couldn't help but to feel a little jealous at the thought of it.

"Okay," she decided with a small nod anyways because she didn't have any other options anyways. "Um, I'm not trying to be mean, really. This is just... It's really awkward and weird and I don't know how to handle it." Sighing, she headed up the stairs.

It wasn't difficult to find the room and she was quick to head back down to get more of her boxes.
