Oh, tears make kaleidoscopes in your eyes
And hurt, I know you're hurting, but so am I
And, love, if your wings are broken
Borrow mine 'til yours can open, too
'Cause I'm gonna stand by you

Stiles felt the guilt distantly as he collapsed into his seat, his books letting out a solid thump as they hit the desk. He didn't mean to be rude to the other students, but he'd gotten around thirty minutes of sleep the night before. He'd been absolutely terrified after everything had gone down in the woods. And Scott... His fingers tapped anxiously on his books. There had been something very wrong in those woods. If he closed his eyes, he was almost positive that he'd be able to see that half corpse as clear as day. Was this PTSD? Could he go crazy because of this? He kept looking towards the door, waiting for Scott to show up. He heard someone call his name and he turned around in his seat, offering up a faint smile. "Uh, no, I'm - Uh, I'm fine. Just tired, man," he replied. He could usually lie better than that, but he was having a hard time keeping his eyes open. He propped his head on his hand, trying to make himself a little more comfortable while he waited for Scott to enter the room. He flicked his gaze over the clock. Four more minutes til class started and then he'd have to wait even longer to talk about the night before.

    Great.
Allison made a face as her mom pulled away from the curb. It wasn't like this school was going to be any different. They'd be there for awhile, something bad would happen, and - poof! - they'd have to leave. Again. Just like they'd left the countless other times. For once, she'd like to last an entire year at a school. She couldn't remember the last time she'd actually made friends and kept in touch with them. She heaved out a sigh before trudging up the steps, pausing once she made it inside. She needed the office. She hesitated for a moment before finding the sign and headed down the hall, pausing once she reached the doors. She knew how this was going to go. State her name, be dragged to her class room and introduced to students who could not care less about the new girl. Embarrassment was an understatement. But regardless, she stepped in, offering the secretary a faint smile. "Hi. I'm Allison Argent. I'm new here?"

It was probably a little weird that Lydia was excited for school to start back up, but well she didn't care much. She'd always loved going to school and filling her head with more knowledge, which was of course why she couldn't wait until college. And maybe over the summer, she could spend hours on the internet exploring and filling her head with random pretty much useless information but it was useless. She liked learning. She liked staying up to date with happenings around the world, and she liked being able to have actual conversations with people about things that really mattered. She could be somewhat of an activist when it came to certain things as well. It was just how she'd always been. Sometimes Lydia could get a little lonely realizing that she didn't hang out with that many people outside of school, or when the few people she did hang out with all hung out with their boyfriends and she still didn't have one. Of course, that was probably because she was holding out for one boy. Stiles Stilinski. She knew it was stupid to have a crush on a guy who had never even looked at her or probably didn't even know her name. But she couldn't help it. There was something about him that just kept her interested.
Scott ran his fingers through his hair as he rushed up the steps and into the building. He glanced at the clock, two minutes, he thought. He'd barely made it to school this morning, and by the looks of the clock he was barely going to make it to class on time. So much for this year being different from the last. It was only the first week and he was already nearly late. He really wasn't sure how he'd be able to make it on time later in the year if he couldn't even make it on time on the second day. Luckily he wasn't late, though, so he supposed that had to count for something. He glanced around the room quickly as he walked in until he found Stiles and then took his seat. He was sure that his best friend was still freaking out about last night, and honestly, Scott was still kind of freaking out about himself. They couldn't talk about it here, though. It just wasn't something you talked about in public. Scott wasn't even sure it was something you talked about in private. However, he knew Stiles better than anyone, and the one thing he was positive about was that Stiles was going to want to talk about this. He'd just have to wait until the end of the day, though.

Stiles refused to look away from the door. Some girl kept talking his ear off about the big game coming up - and she was incredibly pretty - but he just waved her off, focusing solely on that stupid door. There was a poster on it, something about being positive and it had some stupid kitten on it. He'd read the thing about five times over before Scott hurried in. He instantly straightened up, shooting his best friend a scowl as he sat down. There was still a low chatter in the classroom, their teacher oblivious to the time. So he leaned over, his body halfway hanging off the side of the desk. "Scott, what the hell happened last night?" He hissed, kicking Scott's desk for good measure. Usually something like that meant that you called your best friend the second you got home, but no. That hadn't happened. "I'm pretty sure that my dad is going to murder after last night. The least you could do is tell me what is going on," he added, giving him a pointed look. "What's up with you?"
It didn't take long for them to get everything sorted out. They handed her her class schedule, gave her a quick 'good luck!' and had her walking out the door in minutes. Alas, they hadn't been very helpful in the directions department, instead advising her to ask one of the students. They'd said it was to help her make friends. She had a feeling they just didn't feel like getting up from their desks. So she glanced around the hallway. Most students were rushing off to class. She glanced up to the clock. Of course she was going to be late. "Um, excuse me?" She called out, heading towards a red haired girl. "Could you tell me how to get to English Lit?" She questioned, her voice wavering a little. She hated trying to figure out who to talk to and who to stay away from. While she didn't think that this girl would be the worst human being on the planet, it was still nerve wracking. "I'm new here. I'm Allison," she continued on, pausing when she reached the girl.

Lydia turned her head to the sound of a voice clearly speaking to her given there was no one else in the hall. Of course, with less than five minutes until class started it made sense everyone would be already in class, or hurrying away into their classrooms. "Yea, of course. That's actually where I was headed if you just want to follow me," Lydia said smiling at the girl. "I'm Lydia, by the way," she said continuing to make her way towards English Lit hoping they weren't late. If they were, however, then Lydia would just inform the teacher that she was helping the new girl find her way around and surely that would excuse her for being all of a minute late. "So this English Lit with Ms. Coffey. She's pretty laid back, for the most part" Lydia said pretty sure Allison would have to stand in front of the class and introduce herself. "I'll save you a seat though while you I guess talk to her," she added pretty sure even if she didn't introduce herself Ms. Coffey would still want to meet her to give her paperwork or even tell her to stay after to get it something. Really Lydia didn't know for sure how the whole being new thing worked because she'd never been new to a school like Allison was.
Scott turned to look at Stiles and sighed. "I can't exactly tell you here," he whispered. "Just meet me in the locker room after class, and we'll talk okay," he added knowing that the locker room would probably be the best place to talk because usually no one was in there until after school for practice. But if he was going to tell Stiles what happened last night after they'd found that body, and then gotten separated he was going to need somewhere quite to tell him. Because well even though Scott wasn't entirely sure he knew what had happened last night it'd be a lot easier to explain and possibly try to figure out if they weren't being distracted by everyone around them. Plus it'd be the best place to take the bandage off and show Stiles the gigantic bite scratch thing he had on his side from where that thing attacked him last night. What was weird about it though was that it didn't hurt this morning, and it'd hurt really bad last night when he'd gotten home. He was sure he'd just slept off the pain, though, or something like that.
