Matt rolled his eyes at how Brian always brushed off the thought of himself being with Grace, “Stop being such a stupid fucker. You know exactly what I’m talking about, if you took care of Neil then nothing is stopping you but your own stupidity.” He knew better than to talk like this to his Alpha, but Brian needed this talk or so Matt thought he did. “You’ve never had to search for your mate because she’s always been right there, fuck what the council say. She’s the only one that causes the spark in your eyes to ignite,” Matt had no idea where that even came from, but it was true. The only time Brian’s face would light up is when either Molly or Grace are with him, he wanted to smack his friend so badly because he was blind to his own happiness.
“You don’t act quickly enough, some other guy will. Maybe Grace will fall in love, marry him and have his children. That will make you miserable, dude.” This wasn’t the first time the pack have spoken to Brian about Grace, all the guys have had their turn with no luck. Matt wasn’t expecting the Alpha to listen to him now either, but Grace was finally single and away from her dickhead of a boyfriend. It was the perfect time, Brian just needed to see that. Maybe Matt needed to get Molly on his side, which he was certain she already way about this subject. But if anyone could get through to the stubborn Alpha, it was his daughter. Brian always listened to Molly, so it might be time to bring her in. “But I guess you can do whatever the hell you want,” Matt murmured as that was also true, but everyone knew what would make Brian the happiest.
Grace laughed as she hugged Molly tightly, “He’s gone. But you need to watch that language, I always knew the guys would corrupt you.” She smiled at her best friend, she felt really good now that she could quit her job and leave the shitty rundown apartment that she had lived in. She listened to what Molly said about her finding the right guy, she knew exactly who Molly was talking about. Although she’d never said her dad’s name, Grace knew and it did make her wonder if maybe her feelings weren’t one sided. Could he possibly like her in that way? Grace has always convinced herself that he couldn’t, he was a werewolf and she was a human. It was forbidden for them to be together… but it felt so right when their hugs lingered and she’d have intimate dreams and thoughts about Brian.
“You mean Johnny? Lacey is only gone for a few days, she’s coming back.” Grace giggled as it was the only way to brush off what Molly had been meaning, she smiled when she saw the face Molly made at her. “Your dad is giving us his credit card, but we aren’t going to go over the top. I just need the basics and that’s all, besides I’m going to have his credit card.” Grace loved shopping especially when Molly was there, they could spend all day shopping but she wasn’t sure how pleased Brian would be if they spent a big chuck of his money like that.
