we sing, we love

Dawn had finished her modeling shoot only a few minutes ago. Her agent had discovered her singing talent recently, though, and that meant that it was time to go to the recording studio. At least, that was what she had expected. Instead, as she followed him down the hall, she expected to head towards the studio but they kept walking, leaving her confused. Still, she didn't question it; she usually didn't question her agent, since it made her life easier. It was best to stay on his good side to maintain her career.

As they entered a room, she noticed a large computer screen and she watched as her agent toyed with the webcam. "We're going to video call a singer from Japan and his agent," the man explained after a moment, "We're hoping that you two can work well together and get some collaborations going. It would broaden both of your fanbases and it's something that's not done very often, if at all."

Dawn only offered a small nod and watched as the man turned the computer on. Before long, he pulled up Skype and clicked on the contact he was searching for before initiating the video call. Dawn could only wait to see if anybody answered.

Hiroto sat in his chair, rocking back and forth as his manager spoke to him. Apparently his manager had worked out a collaboration with some American artist. Hiroto nodded, "Sounds like a plan." He said. He really was curious to meet this girl. He looked over as the Skype call came through watching as his manager answer it.

"Hello ladies." He said, smiling. "So This is Hiroto. He is who you will be singing with Dawn. Hiroto this is Dawn." He said, introducing the two of them. Hiroto looked at Dawn, giving her a small smile, "Nice to meet you." He said. He had been told she was a model who was just starting to sing. He wondered how good she was.

Dawn offered a small smile and waved slightly. "It's nice to meet you, too," she said with a small nod, though she wondered how things would turn out for them. Her agent seemed pretty sure that everything would work out to both hers and Hiroto's advantage, but she wondered just how much the managers had thought into this. Were they absolutely certain of this or were they just hoping that everything would work out in their favor? She tried not to think about it.

"As long as you two think you can work together, Dawn and I will be flying there this weekend," her agent said with a smile. "Though I'm sure you two will have no problem working together." He, after all, was a high-maintenance agent and several other celebrities found it hard to work with him, but Dawn never complained. For that, he was certain that she wouldn't have any issues with it, so he hoped that Hiroto wouldn't as well.

"I think it'd be pretty fun to collab with you," Dawn told Hiroto with a small grin. "It'd be my first time attempting it, though, so if we decide to do this, try not to hate me too much if I mess up a lot."

Hiroto looked at her, "I'm sure you will do just fine." He said. He hoped she did, but he would help her when she needed it. He looked over as his manager talked about where they would be staying. Hiroto nodded when his manager said they would be meeting for dinner when the two arrived. Hiroto smiled at Dawn once again, "i will see you when you arrive Dawn. Have a wonderful evening." He said.

The next day Hiroto sat in the restaurant with his manager and waited for Dawn and hers. He stood when she approached them, "Nice to finally meet you." He said, greeting her. He waited for her to sit then sat with everyone else. Hiroto looked at her, "So you have never sang professionally before?" He asked her.

Dawn followed her manager into the restaurant when they arrived, though she offered a small smile upon noticing Hiroto and offered a nod as well. "You, too," she told him, though she watched as her manager pulled out her chair for her and she sat down before her manager sat down next to her.

"Not really, no. My manager heard me singing in my dressing room during a photo shoot and he decided that a career in music was possible," she said with a small shrug. "We only recently got started and we work in the studio after photo shoots, but I'm still pretty new at this."

Hiroto nodded, "Well don't worry. If you have any questions just let me know." He told her. He looked over the menu, then ordered his food. He looked at the managers as they talked about the music the two were going to make. They talked about love songs and that wasn't Hiroto's thing. Though if it would make them money it was worth a try.

Dawn listened to the managers talk, though she was mostly focused on eating once the food came. It had been a long flight there, after all, and she wasn't the biggest fan of flying, so eating hadn't really been an option. Still, she wasn't sure about how to feel when it came to the type of music the managers wanted them to sing. She wasn't sure if she had a thing or a style when it came to music, though, so she was up for anything.

Hiroto finished his food, then took a sip of his drink. He looked at her, "What kind of music do you like Dawn?" He asked her as he set his drink down. Sure their managers had an idea about what they should sing, but he was sure she liked something else.

Dawn blinked but she offered a small shrug in response. "Anything, really," she admitted, "I listen to a lot of old music. The classics. Elvis and such. But I also like all kinds of genres, rock, pop, alternative, really anything. The music I listen to really depends on the mood I'm in, I guess, or what I feel like listening to at the moment."

Hiroto looked at her, "That's quite the variety. Um what kind do you enjoy singing?" He asked. He wanted to know more about her musical preferences. That way he could figure out what he was working with.

"Anything that I feel my voice works with. Heavier music is kind of difficult, because the notes are hard to hit for a girl," Dawn said honestly before she shrugged. "I guess if anything, it'd probably be more concentrated in pop and alternative and the classic stuff. The pitches are easier to match."

Hiroto nodded, "Well that is true. I'm sure we can find a good a song that will work with you perfectly." He said. He watched as his manager paid for the dinner when walked out with them.

Dawn smiled slightly as they walked, though she glanced around a bit. "Do you write your own songs or do you have writers?" she asked after a moment as she glanced over at him, though it was easy to get distracted by everything around her when she wasn't used to it.

Hiroto walked with her, "I write my own. Sometimes the writers give me something and i use it. That doesn't happen very often." He said as they walked them to their hotel. It wasn't far from the restaurant they were at." He said.

Dawn nodded as she listened, though she offered a small smile. "It sounds like fun," she admitted. "Do you get inspiration for your songs or does it just sort of come to you?" she asked with genuine curiosity.

Hiroto thought for a moment, "It really is a little of both. Sometimes i pull things from my life and other times it just happens." He said, smiling. He walked with her then once they got to his hotel he walked her inside. "Would you like to have breakfast together tomorrow?" He asked.

"That's impressive," Dawn said honestly. She didn't know many people who could make their music both ways. Hearing his question, she offered a smile and nodded. "Sure, I think it'd be nice. Maybe you can introduce me to new food?"

Hiroto nodded, "Of course." He said smiling. He watched as she walked away then headed back to his home.

Dawn had gone ahead to get ready the next morning, though she glanced at herself in the mirror occasionally. As a model, she felt an intense need to look perfect, but she tried not to worry too much.
