The Kids Aren't Alright | Closed.

Matt took a knife and fork and began cutting up Luna's pancakes for her.

Val observed Matt and Luna, looking at Elizabeth. "Am I missing something here?" she asked.

"What would you be missing," Elizabeth asked. She helped cut up Rae's food before doing the same for her own food and began eating.

Matt looked at Val. "What are you talking about, Val?" he asked.

"They're closer than she ever was with Zack," Val said.

Elizabeth quickly covered Rae's ears, making sure she kept eating before she gave Val a pointed look. "Zack found out she wasn't his and treated her differently because of it. You know that," she stated. "I just never told you who the father was."

"Is she Matt's?" Val blurted.

Matt's eyes widened slightly and he looked at Elizabeth.

"Would you treat her differently if she was," Elizabeth asked. She still had Rae's ears covered so thankfully she wasn't hearing any of what was going on.

Val frowned. "Of course not," she said.

"She is," Matt said. "It was one of the reasons I went to New York."

"It's probably one of the reasons Zack finally lost it too," Elizabeth stated. She removed her hands from Rae's ears and went back to eating her food.

Val was surprised that Luna had turned out as well as she had being Matt and Liz's offspring. She started eating, sitting in silence as she tried to process this new information.

Matt ate his pancakes, hoping Val wouldn't think anything differently of him and Elizabeth now that she knew the truth.

Elizabeth glanced up at Val, biting down on her lip nervously. She sighed softly before she completely focused on eating. She had a feeling Val had questions or wanted to say something about Liz.

Matt finished eating first, sitting back and watching everyone else eat. He wanted to wait for everyone else to finish so he could clean the dishes.

Elizabeth finished eating, waiting until Val finished to grab her hand and lead her back upstairs to her bedroom. "Just say what you want to say," she mumbled. "Just get it out of your system now."

"I don't know what to say," Val said. "I'm still trying to process it. I wish you would have told me from the beginning."

"You were looking at her like a science experiment for a minute there Val," Elizabeth stated. "Almost like you were shocked she didn't have five limbs and no legs."

"I was just surprised," Val said. "Most inbreeding doesn't come out normal."

Elizabeth glared at Val, wanting to just punch her in the face. "Don't talk about my daughter that way," she snapped. "She's not some freak of nature."

Val frowned. "I didn't mean it that way, Liz. I'm sorry," she mumbled.

Elizabeth felt tears begin to fall down her face, quickly moving to wipe them away. "I wouldn't have had her if something was wrong with her," she stated. "She's healthy and happy and that's all that matters."

"You're right," Val said. "She's a beautiful girl. It's just weird to think about. You have to understand from my perspective."

"I hated myself for getting pregnant for so long," Elizabeth admitted. "Originally I had planned on killing myself after I had her because of how disgusted I felt with myself."
