"I thought so too." Charlotte said with a smile. She was glad that they had finally talked about all of this. Everything made so much more sense now than it had before, and there were no longer any questioned left unanswered. Before she could ask what he'd have to be extra careful with, someone opened the door and walked into her bedroom. She wasn't at all surprised when she saw it was her niece, obviously curious to see where they had gone off to. "What's up, munchkin?" She asked. "Gramma said we had to wait for you two to open presents!"

"If anything the least she could do is learn to respect her elders." Steve laughed. He was glad that his girlfriend and his best friend got along as well as they did. "You're always going to look great, doll." He said. "Did you now? Well, I guess I'm just going to have to spend today searching for them." He chuckled softly.

Barry looked over and chuckled, “I guess we can go open some presents..” he had brought a few himself for Charlie’s parents. Also Charlie and her niece, “let’s go, maybe we can start with singing carols” he joked. Wrapping his arm around Charlie Barry walked out with her.

Chloe gasped, “I do respect my elders!” Bucky was looking through more pictures when he came across a familiar one. “We all can’t look like you Rogers, even if I try my hardest” she laughed. “No we are not looking for those..” Bucky looked carefully, “hey, this is me... why is this here?” He asked. Chloe looked over “I... have no idea that’s... wow!”

"Nooo!! We need to open pwesents fiwst!" Clara said as she followed Charlotte and Barry out of her aunt's room. "How dare you try to change the order of things, Allen." Charlotte teased, smiling as they all made their way down the stairs. She knew that it would likely be obvious that there had been a change in her demeanor since going upstairs, but she didn't care. Everything was sorted out now. She was happy again.

"I'm not so sure about that, doll." Steve said, chuckling softly. "Oh, you might not be looking for them, but I most certainly am." He grinned. He was teasing her, he loved doing that, because he always knew he could get some type of reaction out of her. "That's odd. Why would your grandmother have a picture of Bucky?"

[Question: Has Steve met Chloe's grandmother yet? Because I figure she'd recognize Steve immediately and he would have known who she was at this point if that were the case...]

Barry let out a laugh, "I'm so sorry I won't do it again" he followed them out the room. Barry loved that kid, she was sweet and enjoyed having him around, "all right, I guess the singing can wait." Barryan and Charlotte were greeted by her family and Clara had held their hands.

Chloe knew how much Steve loved teasing her he always got a reaction out of her. Chloe was a bit confused, she didn't remember any of these pictures, it was weird. "I Don't know.... I'll ask when she gets home I've never seen any of these to be honest."

[Yeah i juat realized this, yes he met her once and she did but she didnt say anything. Loop hole lol she never showed these pictures because of what went down with the Winter Soldier and wouldn't want to put her family at risk. Lol)

"Good, you'd better not. You know we have traditions to uphold, and carols never come before presents." Charlotte teased, a smile on her face as they entered the living room. There was no longer what she had always thought a hidden sadness in her eyes. The air around her was different too. She really was happy again. "Sorry we kept you all waiting. You could have started without us." She said as she sat down on the couch.

"Hm, that's odd." Steve said, obviously pretty confused as well. The photos were ones that he recognized himself, he had definitely seen them before. He just couldn't place where he had seen them. Maybe it was just the story behind each of them that he recognized. Regardless, he had no idea why they were in his girlfriend's grandmother's apartment in the first place.

Barry chuckled, "all right, that was my fault. Sorry everybody." He took a seat next to Charlie and watched as Clara hopped around happy. Barry was glad that Charlie was so understanding any other girl would had dumped him. He wished his parents were alive he knew they'd love Charlie. He wasn't going to ruin the holidays by being sad. Holding Charlie's hand and squeezing her hand gently.

Chloe pulled her hair out of her face, "maybe my grandad was friends with you all?" Bucky furrowed his eyebrows, "yeah... maybe any pictures of him?" Chloe thought for a moment, "I think so, they have one when they got married let me find it." Chloe got up and searched for her family album and grabbed it, "uh oh. Nooooh baby pictures are the worst!"

"Nonsense, we weren't going to start without you two." Charlotte's mother said, sending a smile the young couple's way. She could see that Clara was eager to start opening presents. It was really cute. She smiled and squeezed Barry's hand back gently. "Alright, well I think we've kept everyone waiting long enough. Why don't you start, munchkin? My gift for you is the one with the candy-cane wrapping paper." She said to her niece.

"It's possible. Although, wouldn't that have come up at one of your family's get-togethers?" Steve asked his girlfriend. This was all honestly a bit strange, and he really didn't know what the explanation for this was. He hoped that they figured it out though. He really wanted to get to the bottom of this.

Barry smiled watching the young girl squeal with excitement her eyes lit up seeing the candy cane wrapped present. “Mine would be the one with Olaf” He chuckled. Barry rubbed Charlotte’s hand and watched as Clara ripped opened her present.

Chloe thought back, “she doesn’t really like to talk about her past, especially because she lived through World War 2. She lost someone close to her but she never did say who.” She opened up another family album and looked through her pictures. “So here’s my grandmother.. isn’t she pretty?” She smiled. Bucky took the picture and stared for a moment, “Steve .. i uh...” he wasn’t in disbelief.
