Tahmoh nodded thoughtfully. Vampires were more complex than he had ever expected. He wasn't even sure what to ask next.

"Do you want to explain? Or would you prefer speaking about something else?"

She thought it was going to be fun but it was already hard for her to keep up with this facade of feelings and memories. She wanted nothing more than to forget everything but therapy was the exact opposite, she just hadn't realized it yet.

"It wouldn't change anything to tell you. The clan doesn't love me. They don't need me. They just want a puppet whose power they can use. That's all I am for them, all I'll ever be." She closed her eyes letting herself relax. She didn't want her feelings to overflow. She wouldn't allow herself to cry in front of him. She was easily emotional and for her own good she had to change that.

This wasn't fun at all. What use was there to speak about things she already knew? Just one more person knowing wouldn't make a difference. But as she kept thinking of it, she realized she was wrong, and opened her eyes quickly like she had received a kick.. There was a difrence. Pity! Tahmoh would feel pity over her childlike feelings. Even she thought so for herself.

Her eyes turned red, feeling her anger rising. She was furious, but not with him. Tahmoh was just doing his job, she knew that much. She was angry at herself for letting something that was supposed to be fun and a game make her feel like this. As she gazed up at him, she started biting her nails, her eyes never leaving his as silence trembled between them.

It looked like Tahmoh was waiting for her to say something more. She could see him playing with the edge of a page from the thin notebook he held. That, or he was actually bored which didn't seem to be the case.

"Another subject, please." Was all the vampiress said hoping the time would psas by quickly.

Tahmoh nodded hesitantly, sensing her anger. He was tempted to write in his notebook, but he was afraid that would set her off more.

"Tell me a memory that makes you happy. Tell me why it makes you happy, and what makes you remember it."

''Does it matter if it was from when I was like six?'' The vampiress asked, hesitating. It was a memory she treasured and she was afraid of sharing it as if doing so would destroy it. Still, something in her made her want to share the treasured memory in her mind with someone who wasn't a vampire.

Tahmoh shook his head, gesturing for her to continue. “It will help us form a better connection. It’s no good if you tell me all the things wrong, but nothing that is good.”

He was honestly curious. His entire life, he was told that all of these beings were evil - that if you simply blinked, they could ruin your life within an instant. But as Tahmoh listened and watched, he was beginning to see a group of lost people the same as any other. He wanted to know everything. He wanted proof that they weren’t as evil as the council made them out to be.

Tahmoh wrote on his notepad delicately, keeping note of her expressions and the look in her eyes. He didn’t want to forget a thing.

The vampiress closed her eyes and let her mind travel back years and years ago to the day she first met Camus. She could still smell the roses in the garden and hear the sounds the water made by the waterfall. It was evening and she had run away from the ball and all the flirtatious boys who wanted her as their bride to be.

''The Hartsong clan was having a ball in order to get me acquainted with awakened, male born vampires who could be my partner.'' She stated and you could see it in her expression that she didn't want to have anything to do with that. ''I went to the garden. I was finally alone and the only thing I wanted was for the night to come to an end so I could relax again; as much as I could with the Hartsong clan on my toes all the time. I heard the sound of footsteps and their scent was unknown to me. I turned my head and saw a pair of wide brown eyes coming closer to me step by step. There was something in them and I couldn't make myself run away or even ask to be left alone. It was rather stranger for a vampire of my caliber to be like this.''

Mariaxielle laughed at the thought, remembering how childish her behavior seemed to her now.

Tahmoh nodded, listening avidly. He was in awe of her ability to remember so clearly what had happened so long ago. He glanced at the clock on his table and hummed thoughtfully.

“Perhaps we shall continue this later. It’s been nearly an hour, and I’m afraid I have other members of the house to speak to as well.”

"Sure," the vampires got up from her seat thinking how easily time went by. She never thought she could have a good conversation with a therapist, but amazed with herself she did.
