Newt didn't know what attracted him back to New York. He believed he was through with New York after releasing Frank back to where he belonged, not in captivity but free in America where he could have enough room to roam without being captured yet again. His book was almost complete, all the data created for his fantastic beasts put into a novel which he prayed would help others understand what very few seemed to grasp. The beasts are not meant to be killed, they are meant to be helped and provided a space to live in peace without hunters or poachers finding them. Perhaps he would meet up with his friends he had found in New York by being there, Queenie and Tina having become close friends with him after letters were sent from one another. Newt's were far more delayed, not having the ability to send them while in the forests he often traveled to. This time he made sure that his case was with him at all times, not wishing for another catastrophe like the last year. Finding a coffee shop for wizards, he happily sat himself on one of the seats, glad it wasn't overly crowded as most people were found still working at their respective factory jobs or within their own businesses. As his coffee floated over to him, he gratefully took it, sipping at it before looking over his transcript once more, far more interested in that than the other wizards and witches that surrounded him.
"Summersea!" The familiar voice of Abernathy barked, causing Adelia to roll her eyes. Surely the man could not have found another thing wrong with her accounts of the giggle water production in the Bronx. Having been promoted from an auror in training to an actual auror was proven a challenge to the young woman as she knew that she had to play nice with others. The worst of those others being Abernathy and his smug way of striding around. If Adelia was asked, she would say he was as daft as any other No-Mag with the way he couldn't even see that there was something off with the Director of Magical Security even though he talked with the man for the month he wasn't himself. Even she could tell that there wasn't something quite right. "What is this?" He demanded of her as he held out the paper her report was made on. "My report, sir," she said, sounding disinterested as she continued to look through the evidence of a new bout of hexes being preformed to No-Mags in Manhattan. "It seems as if you forgot to mention how you intentionally hexed the culprit for no reason." The man was truly ugly when his face started turning red with anger. "Sir, I simply used the Knee Reversal Hex because he started running. The important part is that he is detained, isn't it?" She asked, levelly looking at Abernathy. "You can't just do whatever you want here, Summersea! You're going to be out of this job faster than you thought possible at this rate!" She rolled her eyes, considering whether to put a silencing charm on the man for just a moment of peace.
