Vladimir could almost tell just how pissed Calliope was when he saw her, pausing a moment as he ran his free hand through his hair. "I know I was right, I've lived here my whole life." He tried to lighten her mood, moreso than he already had with just his presence, which he enjoyed. Vladimir was prided with the fact that he could bring a smile to her face, he at least had a little bit of a hold on her like she had on him. Also hoping that it would bring them to bed together again, but he shook his head of the thought. He was here to see if she would try to kill him. He licked his lips and sighed as he looked at the body. "Sad, huh?" He said empathetically. "Well I wouldn't say you're less important, just I don't want to face the wrath of an angry feline." He grinned. "Oh I totally agree, that could be arranged for tomorrow." He said leaning down and saying it into her eat with a purr before he stood straight again. Vlad looked back at her, an idea popping in his head. If his kids made most of their killings public now. The infestation would seem more rampant, and would most likely deter her from thinking he was a vampire if other murders happened while the pair were together. When Calliope mentioned drugs he shrugged his shoulders and nodded. "Maybe, drugs are a crazy thing." Vladimir switched the bags from hand to hand again.

Vladimir lifted his wrist and checked the time, it was already ten in the morning, noting he had things to do today that involved the younger vampires and keeping them safe. He pulled out his cellphone and sent them a text to meet at his house in half an hour. Calliope's voice cut through his mind and he looked down at her. "Oh?" He said and shook his head smirking. He loved her abrasive personality and how demanding, no not demanding, in charge she was. "If that's what you wish, that's what you shall receive, I guess I don't have to worry about stopping by the store to get you a gift then. Because seeing me all dressed up is a gift enough." He said with a wink. Before he allowed her to walk away from him, Vlad grabbed her by the elbow, and pulled her close to him. He leaned down and pressed his lips tightly to hers, just for a moment, and then whispered into her ear. "Maybe I will then, because maybe I want you to tie me up." His voice was a hoarse whisper and he smirked as he pulled away. When Calliope walked away he gave a wave and started walking towards his car, he had things to do now.

Vlad headed back to his house, setting up his large dining room with the round table for the small gathering he would be having, he didn't invite all of the vampires, just about fifteen who could spread the word to the rest. He set up some of his signature drink, blood wine. He made it by infusing white wine with blood. Simple, but he knew the perfect ratio. As they arrived he would serve them a drink and instruct them to wait until everyone arrived. When they did he entered and stood at one end of the table, knocking on it for silence. "There's a hunter in town, or I suspect a hunter in town. Be careful and do not go out alone, especially the younger ones. Do not go after high profile targets." He explained different safety measures before he finally sat. "I have an idea though. I have I believe been talking to the hunter, I'm not sure if she suspects me, but to take her mind off me being s vampire I want a few of you to kill and feed when I'm with her. If she loses interest in me, I can deter her from you guys, I can keep you safe, I'll be with her from 11 tonight until the next morning, leave a body out then." He paused and looked around the table. "Dimitri, I trust you." He said and took a sip of his drink. "I don't want to lose anyone, however, unless your life is threatened, don't kill her or engage, I want to handle her." He said demandingly.

There was something indescribable about the way Calliope felt about Vlad. She’d known him less than 24 hours but it felt like she’d known him for much longer. Perhaps this was all carnal desire and lust that would burn quick and hot but fade over time. Yes, that had to have been it. There was no other way it could be with Calliope. ‘Boyfriend’ and ‘dating’ were terms that weren’t in her vocabulary, and ‘love’ was something that was as mythical as a unicorn to her. Her mum was the only one she had left, and Calliope kept her distance from her to keep her alive. The moment a vampire knew about a hunter’s family or romantic interest could mean a bargaining chip was gained for a hunter and more than their life was at stake. It all circled back to the fact that Calliope could not form an attraction to Vlad. If he were a human, he would become that bargaining chip. If he were a vampire…well, Calliope didn’t want to think of what could happen if he were a vampire.

She spent a good portion of her afternoon in the coroner’s office, studying the corpse of the dead man who’d been found in the town center. There was no doubt a vampire had killed the man and the oddest thing they’d found was he apparently had died quite sometime before his body had been found. Instead of pouring over what had already happened for too much longer, Calliope excused herself and got a taxi back to her hotel room. She felt exhausted by the time she got back up to the penthouse suite she’d been given and she lazily stripped out of her clothing to soak in a bath until it was time to get ready. Under the scalding hot water and bubbles of the bath, she slowly unwound from the stress of the day. Things were far worse than she could have imagined and she was beginning to wonder if this was more work than she could handle. Calliope supposed she fell asleep in the bath because when she woke up the water was barely tepid and it was around seven in the evening. She got up, fixed herself a glass of whiskey to take the edge off, and began to get ready for her evening.

At around 10:30, Calliope sat on the railing of the balcony, back facing the city and gaze up toward the sky. It was a cloudy night, cold enough that she wouldn’t be surprised if it began to snow. She had a cigarette at her deep crimson lips, smoky cat eyes dividing their gaze between the top of the building and the inside of her penthouse suite. Her jacket was draped over the couch in the room, as were her gloved, and her dress was far too thin for the temperature. However, her mind was far from how cold she was, thoughts and stress slowly eating away at her. At least, she knew she’d be able to keep tabs on Vlad this evening, maybe even have a bit of fun in the process. Her hair had been styled in old Hollywood style waves, parted far to one side and pinned behind one ear. Despite the fact that she could care less about her appearance most of the time, she knew how to do her own hair and makeup. Taking the cigarette between her index and middle finger, she pulled it from her lips and exhaled smoke into the night.

Vlad sent his small children on their way, giving each one a final talk before sending them out into the world. He really did care about them. He thought of them as his kids, even if he didn't particularly see them often. He also refused to form a romantic attraction to any, that never ended well for him. He was better off alone. But now he had Calliope, and whatever they were or were becoming. That was also the reason he told the others not to do anything to Calliope if they found out. He didn't want them getting killed, or her, he frowned to himself wondering why he was feeling this way. It wasn't like she wasn't going to try and kill him at some point. After they were all gone he decided to rest a bit before he had to be out and picking up Calliope. Vladimir grabbed his laptop from his bedroom and began to read different stories online that he liked, he kept all his books online, he liked having them like this all at his disposal. When the clock struck 9 he decided to start getting dressed.

He wanted to look dapper tonight for his date, show off almost. He knew she already loved his body, now he hoped to love his style. Most of Vladimir's suits were well tailored to fit him perfectly, having needed many occasions to dress well in his years. He decided on a simple color pattern tonight He wore tight black pants, with a matching black vest and suit coat, his undershirt a pristine white, with sharp edges. His tie was a radiant red for s pop of color, along with the pocket square. He stepped in front of the window and looked out into the forest after he was dressed well, looking into the darkness gave him a sense of pride. Tonight he decided to travel in style as well. He had a sleek black car with two seats, made for showing off. Vladimir grabbed the room key and began his drive back to the hotel, he handed the valet his keys and headed up in the elevator. When he swiped into her room he entered almost silently. Vladimir wanted to surprise her. Footsteps were silent as he strode about the room until seeing her on the railing. He snuck out to the balcony before sneaking up behind her, grabbing her by the waist and pulling g Calliope's body against his, his lips pressed against her cheek. "Hey there gorgeous, miss me?" He asked with a purr, slowly letting her go so she wouldn't fall.

Calliope had been watching what she could see of the canopy of clouds, light just barely by the city lights as they swiftly moved across the sky. She’d just brought her cigarette to her lips when she felt a pair of arms wrap around her. She supposed she’d been so caught up in her thoughts that she didn’t hear anyone enter the room. In a flash, she dropped her cigarette to the side, wrapping one of her arms behind whoever had a hold of her and gripping the concrete balcony with the other. She braced a heeled foot against the ground and started to pitch the two of them forward, willing to drag one or both of them off the balcony. When Vlad spoke, she immediately relented, tension leaving her body in a moment and a sigh of relief leaving her.

“God damnit, Vlad,” she scolded him, turning around and standing from the balcony railing, stalking away from him a few paces before turning and facing him. “I could have killed you just then! I could have killed the both of us!” Her eyes were alight, expression stern. Her chest was heaving slightly, the valley between her breasts exposed nearly to the bottom of her breastbone, only accented by the large ruby and diamond necklace that laid just between them. She pressed a hand to her chest, as if it would calm her racing heartbeat, and shook her head, eyes slipping shut.

“You can’t scare me like that,” she added in a much softer tone, pulling her eyes open to look at him. She turned and grabbed her smoldering cigarette off the railing, snubbing it out and dropping the butt in an ashtray. Letting herself calm down, she let her eyes slip over him in the ambient light her room provided. He looked dashing and she knew it would take a lot of self-restraint not to just keep him locked in her hotel room all night.

“I see you’ve inadvertently color-coordinated with me,” she noted, still only slightly breathless, with a crooked grin, black-rimmed eyes slipping up to meet his bright blue. “I knew I liked you for a reason,” she added, swooping past him to enter the warm penthouse once more. With every step she took, the slit of her dress opened up, revealing an expanse of pale, muscular leg and dark blood red shoe. Smoothing her hands over her hair, she paused by the door, leaning back against the frame as she turned to look at him once more.

She opened her mouth to say something but found her train of thought crashing into a jumbled mess as she properly took him in head-to-toe. Damn, he was good looking. It would be nothing for her to just grab him by the tie and lead him to the bedroom and… She cleared her throat loudly, squeezing her eyes shut against the barrage of metal images that flashed through her mind. Once she felt strong enough to lift her gaze to his, she offered him a dazzling smile that spoke nothing of the heinous deeds her brain had in mind for him. “Did you want to have a drink before we left or did you want to head straight to dinner?” She questioned, tilting her head to the side slightly.

When Calliope began to fight back against him, Vladimir braced himself, pulling back towards the room so that she couldn't hurt the two of them by throwing them off the balcony. He stood tall against her pulls until he felt the tension release from her body, where he allowed himself to lose his tension too, warily letting go of her. When she began to scold him he shrugged with a small chuckle. He watched her walk away, just turning so he could face her. Vladimir knew he should just let Calliope calm a bit before he made another move on or towards her. He had been a little bit of a dick by surprising her like that. "Noted, dear. I didn't mean for this to end in death I just wanted to surprise you. I do think it worked." He said and shrugged again with a grin. Vladimir straightened out his tie, and the sleeves of his coat as they had been ruffled in the tussle. When her tone softened is when Vlad took a couple steps towards her, his eyes gentle and his smile just as soft. "I won't do it again my dear." He murmured.

Vladimir followed in suit into the penthouse, shutting and locking the door to the balcony behind him. He stared down at her legs as she walked and more and more of her was exposed. He knew what was beneath, but the teasing turned him on, and he smirked. When Calliope turned around, his eyes moved to her chest, his tongue gliding easily over his lips. Her eyes were closed anyways she wouldn't notice his stares. She had s gorgeous body and he was hoping it would be against him in a matter of a few hours. "Red is my favorite color and can match most things, it's my go to color. I had to decide this or a navy blue, I think the red makes me look better." He explained and grinned when she said she liked him. "Are you sure it's not for what's beneath the clothing, or my charming wit?" His voice danced with a tease. Vladimir took a step towards her, one hand on Calliope's hip as he leaned down and pressed a kiss to her forehead. "I'm sorry for scaring you, dear, but I'm glad I have seemed to make it up to you with how dashing I am." He teased again and reached into his pocket before pulling out a small charm, it was a rose made of gold that was to fit in a keychain. "You said you like you gifts."

Vladimir was having the same sexual thoughts about Calliope as she was about him, but he knew he didn't want to right now. His reservations would go to waste and he had good standing at the restaraunt and didn't want to lose it. "As much as I'd like to just stay here all night. I do want to wine and dine you. Y'know just give some more reasons for you to adore me that aren't physical." Offering his arm to Calliope as Vladimir exited the room he made his way to the elevator, and down to the valet, waiting a few minutes for his car. "Have you ever been to a fancy Russian restaraunt? The food is very good, delicacy." He commented, when the car was pulled up, Vlad opened the door for her before getting into the drivers seat, and beggining off to the middle of the town.

“I like surprises, just not ones where I could plummet to my death or potentially hurt someone who just had intentions of surprising me,” Calliope explained, flattening her hands over her dress and checking to be sure her necklace was still there. It was work more than her designer outfit alone, so to lose it would be a travesty. She gave Vlad a disarming sort of smile as he genuinely seemed like he was repentant for scaring her silly once she realized who she was trying to toss over the side of the building. A sigh left her as she let the warmth of the penthouse seep into her skin, warming her up and making her realized just how cold she had gotten outside without her coat and gloves on. “Just…I’m a jumpy person, alright,” she continued, shrugging her slender shoulders as she kept her gaze on him for a few moments. “I mean, I know we’ve skirted around the issue of seduction and murder…but I plan on keeping you around for a while. I’d hate to see that pretty face of yours busted against the pavement prematurely,” she told him with a crooked grin, regaining a bit of her former flirty self.

“Yes…I suppose red does match most things and I’m glad you didn’t pick navy blue. I would have had to change my whole outfit to we didn’t end up look like the flag of too many nations to count,” she retorted with a dramatic roll of her eyes and a warm smile on her lips as she leaned back against a couch in the room. “Oh, I’d say it’s definitely your dick,” she told him bluntly and enthusiastically, clearly joking before another bright smile curled her lips and a soft laugh left her. “But…your wit and style are growing on me, Vladimir.” As he stepped forward, she watched him closely tilting her head to the side as he wrapped a hand around her hip and she tipped her head back slightly to watch him. “Apology accepted,” she told him quietly, lifting a hand to rest on his chest before she noticed the charm. “I thought you said you all dressed up would be gift enough,” she told him with a smile, reaching out to take the charm from him and study it for a moment. “And I was joking about the gifts…well, everything but the leather,” she told him, shooting him a sly wink before taking the charm and looping it around the zipper pull of her clutch. “It seems I’ve got you trained already. I’m impressed,” she jested with a smirk.

As he mentioned the restaurant, she merely gave a knowing nod and walked over to the couch her jacket was on, slipping into it and wrapping it tightly around her frame to keep the warmth in. She paused when he spoke about the dinner and reasons beyond the bedroom for liking him for a moment, jarring herself back into hunter-mode abruptly as she was reminded, yet again, not to form any attachments or relationships. “Careful, darling,” she spoke, her accent crisp and clear as she leveled her gaze to him, “I won’t be in Russia forever.” She pulled the gloves on as she walked over to him, making sure to grab her clutch before she stopped beside him. “Thank you for the gift, Vlad,” she told him, pressing her lips to his cheek for a brief moment and checking once she pulled away to make sure she didn’t leave any lipstick behind. There was nothing more that she liked to see than a man with her lipstick smeared over his mouth, face, neck, etc, but they had to look presentable for dinner as well. She took his arm silently when offered and followed beside him, reminding herself that she wasn’t going on this “date”—if it could even be considered that—for pleasure alone. She was keeping an eye on Vlad, looking for any tells in his behavior that solidified the fact she thought he was a vampire.

“That’s a beautiful car,” she spoke when she pulled herself away from her thoughts long enough to note the valet pulling up with the car. She followed him over to it and slipped into the car after he opened it, tucking her clutch off to the side as she looked over to him. “I’m afraid I’ve never been to Russia, let alone have authentic Russian food,” she told him. “You had better not be lying to me because I’m absolutely starving,” she threatened playfully, cutting her eyes at him slightly.

Vlad nodded with a small chuckle. "Notes." He said as he watched Calliope in the penthouse, watching the way she was moving and how, when she gave him a smile he couldn't help but return it and follow in suit. His mind caught up with him, and he shook his head, he couldn't be thinking like this, it wouldn't end well, and for that he sighed. He knew this would definitely not end in a whimper, but in a bang, and he didn't want it to, he just didn't want it to end. So he avoided thinking of what could become of the two. "I understand, I'm sure I would be too if I travelled alone like you and got lost." He teased, wiggling his eyebrows at her. They weren't far apart when Calliope began to speak again, and when she mentioned seduction and murder, he smirked, adjusting his tie slightly. "Oh you plan on keeping me around?" He asked, almost too enthusiastically, calming himself down in his own head. "Well I'm glad I get another day to live, and the same for you." Vlad stuffed his hands into the deep pockets of his suit pants as he moved around the penthouse, just looking around casually, waiting for Calliope to be ready.

"Too many nations is right, as if the leaders who invented the flags have a hardon for red white and blue." He paused. "Imagine how colorful the world could be if nations had to be unique in their flag colors. That would be a site to see. Like those gay pride flags." He said with a laugh, one hand came out of the pocket and he tapped his fingers on the back of the couch. Vladimir looked down at her with a small smirk. "Well most ladies do love that." He added and again got closer to Calliope, his hand brushing against hers. He just wanted to take her right here and right now. But he knew he wasn't here for that, well right now anyway, he had no doubts in his mind they'd end up in bed together after dinner. He just had to be patient. "I'd hope it's not all looks for you. Didn't you say last night an empty head is only good to look at." He teased. His hand held her hip tight enough she couldn't break away, but loose enough if she gave just a bit of effort she could have moved. Vlad just didn't want her leaving his side. "I did I did, but hey, surprises generally impress women I've learned. You seem tough to impress." He teased and chuckled. "Alright leather, I got it." He said and tapped his head. "I'll remember that."

Vlad smoothed out his shirt and was making sure he looked good right before they left where Calliope's voice invaded his mind. He turned and looked at her. At the mention of her not being here a frown came upon his lips, it was there long enough to be noticeable, but he tried to quickly replace it with a playful pout, that he had on as he approached her. "Are you saying my wit, and style, and gifts, and dick aren't enough to get you to come visit?" He teased, taking her hand in his and lifting it to his lips as he kissed the back of it. He turned away and walked towards the door, mumbling something to himself In the local dialect of Russian before turning with a grin on his face as he lead her down to the car. "You're welcome dear, and just do you know, I think the lipstick looks wonderful on you, but I think it'd look even better all over me later." He purred into her ear in Russian, standing up and grinning to himself.

Vlad had one hand on the wheel, and one hand on her thigh as he drove into town. "Thank you, I've got three, I felt this one would be the best for this kind of night." He commented, a swift glance over before he looked back at the road. It was about a fifteen minute drive before he pulled up to Percorso. "Five star restaraunt, my favorite around here. Only the best, for the best." He said and kissed her head before he got out and opened Calliope's door, holding his hand out to hers. He led her inside, and they were greeted by a smaller man, with light blond hair neatly tucked back, in a small suit. Vladimir greeted him in Russian, and gave his name. The host nodded and led the two to a table with the silverware already in place, wine glasses set, and a candle in the middle. The light was faint in the restaraunt and a live band played quietly for all the patrons that were there. "It's only open from one in the afternoon until midnight." He commented and sat across from Calliope. "Can you read Russian?" He asked. "The menu is all in Russian and if you can't I can tell you what the dishes are, and order it if you'd like." He said, looking up as their waitress arrived. She wore a skirt and a bow tie and he smiled up at her. Ordering two glasses of red wine for the two of them."

Calliope drew in a deep breath of air, clamping onto the inside of her cheek with her teeth for a moment as she fell into silence as they drove to the restaurant. She was falling headfirst into this, blindly, hands grappling for any bit of stable ground she could grasp at. She needed to shake herself into remembering that this wasn’t a real date—nothing between her and Vlad would ever be “real”. He was rather suspect to her and she needed to pay more attention to him as a whole instead of his body, his eyes, or the way he made her feel normal and like she mattered. For all she knew, he was trying to keep an eye on her just as much as she on him. Maybe they were like two wolves, slowly circling and just waiting for one to make the first move. However, she did take note of his reaction to her reminding him that she was merely a visitor. The frown that curled his lips for a moment was brief, but she knew that he felt the same way she did. It’d been a while since she felt as connected to another being; hunter, human, or vampire.

He was charming, witty, and seemed to have a decent brain in his skull. She knew this was a dangerous combination, especially if he were a vampire. He was slowly getting under her skin, making her forget who she was and what she did. With his hand on her thigh and the roar of the engine, her mind was going foggy and trailing to whatever they would get up to once dinner was over. It was all she could do to not just demand he turn the car around and take them back to the hotel; especially with the comment he’d made, in Russian no less, about the shade of lipstick she wore and how it’d look all over him. She was wound up tight and she knew that dinner would do nothing to alleviate the fact she wanted him terribly.

“You’ll have to show me your collection of cars at some point, Vlad,” she spoke, eyes slipping from the passing scenery, noting the beginning of flurries falling from the sky, and over to the gorgeous man she’d gotten in the car with. “I like things that go fast. Particularly cars and motorbikes,” she added, eyes sweeping over him. Once they reached the restaurant, she looked up at it, impressed by the outside alone. “I’m not the best…perhaps just a close second,” she told him with a grin, turning and looking over her shoulder at him and smiling even wider when he kissed the top of her head. She took his hand and gracefully slipped out of the car, giving his hand a soft squeeze. As she stepped inside, she was blown away by just how grandiose the decor was. The place looked expensive and she grinned crookedly to herself as Vlad greeted someone who seemed to know him. She shrugged out of her coat and slipped off her gloves and they were immediately taken from her to be placed with coat check.

She followed the host, noticing the glances the two of them were getting as the made their way to their table. Older wives looked rather put out when their even older husbands ogled Calliope and it was the same for the wives and Vlad. They made an attractive pair and they both walked with the air that they knew they were important people; eyes would certainly follow them. She took her seat as Vladimir did, leaning back into the seat and glancing around for a moment before her molten brown gaze met his. “Of course, I can read Russian,” she replied, lips tilting upward at one corner. She stared him down for a few moments, folding her forearms on the table as she leaned forward slightly. “Let’s make a deal. You order something you think I’d like,” she started, eyes alight and crooked grin on her lips. “If you’re a good boy and please me with your choice, perhaps I’ll let you take the reins later tonight,” she finished, leaning back in her chair and pulling her arms from the table. “This place is beautiful, so you’ve already pleased me in that sense. The cuisine, obviously, is more important than the way this place looks, however.”

Vlad took a few glances around the restaraunt as the couple walked. He held himself tall, and walked very confidently, just as he always had. He appreciated the looks he got, the looks of jealous or lust from women, but he did not like others looking at Calliope, he was feeling very possessive. His hand that rested respectfully on her hip easily made its way down to her butt where he gave it a good squeeze, smirking to himself proudly. Sitting he glanced around at people as they looked away under his icy eyes, but knew they would come crawling back when he wasn't paying attention. His head was ringing with red alarms and he knew this was terrible. He kept one hand in his lap that played with the buckle of his belt absentmindedly as he tried to focus himself. He could feel himself wanting more and more of this girl, and not in the physical sense. He had already laid claim to her here, and he wanted others to know that she was his, and he wasn't messing around. His feelings were weird. He didn't like not knowing how he truly felt about someone, it meant he had lost control. He hadn't felt connected to anyone in ages. They were just anonymous fuck buddies he'd only slept with once or twice. But something about this girl made him crave more, and more than just another lay. Vlad didn't know what she had unlocked inside him, and he didn't know if he wanted to find out either.

Vlad swallowed and looked up at Calliope, smiling across at her. "I ask because it is a difficult language to learn or read, I must say I'm impressed you can do both." When the waitress brought back the bottle of wine and filled their drinks, he lifted it and took a sip, sighing happily. "I love good wine for dinner." He said and set it down gently. He was poking down and reading the menu when she spoke, Vlad smiled and leaned forward, raising his eyebrow at her. "A deal?" Vlad grinned and laid his hand across the table, open and waiting for her own to rest atop it. "Are you sure you can handle me?" He teased, a wicked grin shaping his face. Vlad loved to push limits and he wanted to see how much he could put to her. "Deal, my dear!" He exclaimed quietly, leaning over and stealing a kiss from her before straightening himself out from the looks across the room. "Trust me, the food is just as wonderful if not better than the designs around here. Nothing is ever frozen, all fresh, all homemade, all real." He told her as he closed the menus and set them on the side of the table.

Vlad sipped his wine some more and refilled it with the bottle he bought. When the waitress arrived he held the menus out to her. And smiled up at her. And in his husky Russian voice he ordered dinner for the pair. He ordered her a lamb dish, with glazed rainbow carrots, atop a small salad. For himself he ordered a shrimp ragu type dish. In a hearty sauce with thick cut vegetables. After the waitress was gone, his attention turned back to his date. He swallowed at the throught in his mind of this as a date. But he smiled when he decided it was. "That necklace, dear, where did you get it? It's beautiful." He commented, his finger tapping on the table as he looked at it. One to admire it, two to have a reasons to look down at her beautiful breasts and think about them later tonight.

Calliope could have cared less if the women of the restaurant were sending daggers with their eyes in her direction. Stare all they want, Calliope was the one Vlad was dining with and he made it very clear she was exclusively his when his hand crept from her hip, which was a tasteful place for his hand to be, to her ass where he proceeded to give it a hard squeeze. If any other man had treated her like an object like that, she would have easily dislocated their arm from their shoulder socket and brought them to their knees abruptly. But with Vlad, she almost welcomed the gesture, like they were exclusive to each other and proud to openly show it. She’d never belonged to anyone and maybe, just for tonight, she could pretend like she was normal and that Vlad and her were on a legitimate date.

She reached forward and grabbed the glass of wine in her fingertips and lifted to her lips, which were consequently the same color as the liquid in the glass. Calliope took a sip of the wine, smiling to herself at the bold, deep cherry flavor. It was a nice wine, which honestly didn’t surprise Calliope too much since Vlad seemed like he had pretty decent tastes. She sat back in her chair, swirling the crimson liquid around in her glass as she kept her gaze on the man in front of her. “Russian’s not the only language I know, darling, and certainly not the most tricky to learn. I’m fluent in French, Spanish, and Japanese as well,” she told him, crooked grin still playing around her mouth as she watched him. She took another sip of her wine and placed the glass to the side, leaning forward to gently place her hand in his. His fingertips seemed cold, a lot colder than they were the previous night—or so it seemed. For now, she would chalk it up to poor circulation, knowing that cold hands was a terrible indicator for if a person was the living dead or not.

“I haven’t met a man who could break me yet, Vladimir,” she retorted, eyes narrowing slightly as if she were challenging him. She gave his hand a squeeze and grinned as he leaned in for a kiss. She slid her hand away from his, grabbing for her glass of wine once more and leaning back in her chair. “I’d hope I’m eating real food. I didn’t get dressed up like this to have a burger I could’ve gotten at a fast food place,” she said with a joking twinkle in her eye. She ran her tongue over her lips to clear them of wine, glancing up to the waitress as Vladimir ordered their meals. She crossed her legs as her eyes slipped back over to him, the toe of her shoe slipping up the side of his calve slowly before pulling away. Calliope was an expert at doing things that seemed accidental, but were very much on purpose.

When he spoke of the necklace she wore, a proud grin curled her features as she kept her gaze on his. The grin slowly slipped from her features as she gave Vlad a very serious look. “I murdered an old lady for it,” she dead-panned, “she didn’t have as pretty a frame for such priceless jewels as I do.” She lifted her free hand, fingertips trailing down the chain and just barely skirting along her skin as her bottom lip found it’s way between her teeth. She dropped her hand to the side as she took a sip of her wine, placing the glass aside before a cheeky grin curled her lips. “No, I did a very big favor for someone,” she told him honestly, “and, no. Before you start letting your mind wander, it was not one of those favors.” She grinned over at him, eyes slipping over what she could see of him. “Believe it or not, I’m pretty selective about who I take to bed with me.”

Vladimir grinned with pride at the fact she enjoyed his small mark of possessiveness. He enjoyed the feeling of this all being real, it was warming to him. His mind wandered tothat of real high profile couples who could do this on a daily basis. The good looking, rich, celebrity couple who always got stares and were always the talk of the town. They knew they were it and he enjoyed that. He embraced that feeling that was them, even if it would only last but a fraction of the time in his life. Vlad loved feeling powerful, but what he loved even more was other people thinking he was powerful. He enjoyed just letting his gaze settle on Calliope as they dined, she was gorgeous and her habits were cute. "How did you learn so many? I'm fluent in ten languages. My father was an ambassador for the Russian government when I was young, we traveled all over Europe and my father told me entering another country you must speak their language." He said and sipped his wine, filling calliope's glass for her again. "English, French, German, Spanish, polish, Cantonese, Japanese, Arabic, Portuguese, and obviously Russian." He said and shrugged slightly. "Though fluency may be down a bit in some because I haven't spoken them in years. When her hand was in his he gave it a tight squeeze as a smile danced on his lips. "You have small hands, it makes me laugh." He teased, using his free hand to drink.

When she narrowed her eyes at him, Vlad couldn't help but smirk mischeviously, his eyes following in suit. He revved across the table and grabbed her chin, pulling her closely. In a husky voice, in his native tongue he whispered into her ear. "Keep it up and I'll do a lot more than tying you up, I'll have you begging for mercy." Vladimir leaned back, his cheeks flushed but proud of himself, he knew he could push her as much as she could push him. His mind now began to wander on what he could do to her tonight. His fingers rolled along the table as he schemed inside his mind. Her shoe touching his calf brought Vlad back to reality. He wasn't dumb, he knew she wanted to tease, but he would let her think he didn't know her game. "You'll enjoy your food, it'll have you begging for more." He commented, his face expressionless, but unable to hide his smirk when it came about from his comments. Vlad looked across the table at Calliope, from her chest, to her necklace, to her face where he nodded as she spoke, though still slightly distracted by her body. "Favor? I think I'd believe the murder story first." He teased, winking across the table at her. "My mind wouldn't go there, you aren't a." He paused for a moment before responding with the pats word in Russian. "A whore." He said. "Well you aren't going to get someone as good as me in bed, might as well give up now." He retorted licking his teeth with a chuckle.

Their food arrived soon after. The plating intricate and extravagant like a puzzle. Vladimir thanked the waitress as his eyes moved over both plates. "See?" He teased before picking up his fork and dug into his food. He was very careful when he ate, and held himself to the highest of manners. He would wipe anything on his face away immediately. He would not speak with food in his mouth, or cover it if he did but only for a second. No elbows on the table. He was as if he had been trained. But Vladimir didn't notice, it was how he had been raised, he hadn't lied about his father being an ambassador, thought it had been hundreds of years ago, it was the truth. His mother raised he and his two siblings to be proper children. Halfway through their meals he looked up at Calliope an djust watched to see her expressions, and wondering if she was truly enjoying it. "Have I impressed yet?" He asked and took another shrimp form his plate and ate it.

Calliope ran a hand over her hair, smoothing it out as she tapped her fingertips against the side of her wine glass. She licked her lips again, eyeing a tray of food as it passed by their table; she was hungrier than she thought, having been too busy that afternoon to even think about food. Her gaze found Vlad’s once more and she tilted her head to the side slightly as he spoke. “I used my brain and simply studied,” she told him bluntly, crooked grin seemingly glued to her features as her eyes sparkled under the dim lighting of the restaurant. “My father was an ambassador for the British government in a sense, very hush-hush business type affairs,” she told him, only lying a little bit about what her father did. “We couldn’t let anyone know that we were outsiders at times, so we had to assimilate as much as possible,” she continued with the shrug of her shoulders. A brilliant smile curled her lips as she placed her wine glass back down on the table. “Though, I’m not sure how effective my Russian instructor was. You pegged me as English immediately,” she said, eyes flickering between both of his. “Maybe if I’d been a little less warm, more icy and brusque.”

Her brow furrowed at the mention of her hands and she let out a soft laugh. “Of course I have small hands in comparison to yours,” she told him through a grin. “My hands are proportionate to the rest of me, I suppose,” she added with another laugh. When he grabbed her chin, her expression dropped suddenly, staring at him closely with a mixture of trepidation and intrigue. When his mouth lowered closer to her ear, goosebumps raised on her skin, breath coming a bit quicker than it had before. And when he spoke, it shot a jolt through her that went straight to her core and had her shifting a bit in her seat. However, she was a woman of action and not of words. It’d all be talk unless she was proven otherwise. “Keep what up, Vlad?” She questioned innocently, dark eyes following him as he settled back into his seat. “I haven’t done anything.” Her lips pitched upward at the corner again, pulse raising slightly if only for a moment.

“Is that a command to enjoy my food?” She questioned, eyes flashing for a moment. She ‘tsk’-ed lightly, shaking her head as she took another sip of her wine. “I don’t take kindly to being bossed around, Vladimir,” she told him. A soft hum left her as she glanced around the restaurant once more. A loud laugh flew from her before she could stop it about believing that she’d murdered someone for her jewelry and that he said she wasn’t a whore. She clasped a hand over her mouth as she shook her head, trying to stifle any more laughter so she didn’t cause a disruption for the other diners. “Oh, Vlad,” she sighed, resting her elbow on the table and her chin in her palm as she looked over at him, “but I am a whore. And a homicidal one at that. And I only go for men or women with money so I can steal everything from them when I’m done. I would have thought you would have been smart enough to figure that out.” She stared at him with a straight-face for a few more moments before a wide, genuine smile split her features once more.

Once their plates were placed in front of them, she lifted a brow, taking in the presentation of her dish and then Vlad’s. She watched him for a few moments before leaning back in her chair. “What if I’m a vegetarian?” She questioned, tilting her head to the side as she watched him with an unreadable sort of expression. “And what if I thought the slaughter of a baby animal for the sake of a meal was barbaric?” She continued, tongue slipping over her bottom lip as she watched him for a few moments longer. Her features remained stolidly unimpressed as she picked up her cutlery and cut into the lamb. Slowly, she sampled all that had been put on her plate, giving no tells as to whether she liked it or not. Instead, she kept her gaze on Vlad as she chewed slowly. A soft hum left her as he questioned her and she shrugged a single shoulder. “Perhaps,” she gave him the most noncommittal reply that she could before she continued eating.

Vlad's eyes scanned the room for a few moments, wondering what other types of people were here and what other types of dates they were on. This wasn't a restaraunt you took a hooker too. It was one rich men would take their wives one night, and their mistresses the next. He wondered if that were the case. His tongue ran along his teeth, and his look finally came back to Calliope. Vladimir had no problem with being touchy with her. His hand moving down her forearm gently before he grabbed the bottle of wine and refilled both glasses. "I have come to notice that people of English speaking countries hold themselves a different way. They act different. British different than Americans. But it's distinguishable. Also the fact I found you lost on a bar street at two in the morning does not point towards a Russian woman." He said, teasing at the last part. "No one can teach someone to act Russian, you simply have to do or be very careful in learning. It's a way of life." A cheery grin popped up on his lips and he let out a small chuckle.

Vladimir notices the change in Calliope immediately as he had spoken into her ear. When he sat back, his face was proud, and cheeks just slightly red. He was glad he got her flustered, heart racing, even if just for a moment. He felt accomplished. "What am I saying?" He said gasping. "Of course my date is innocent. And I'm the big bad wolf trying to corrupt her sweet and innocent self. How could I say that?" He exclaimed, trying to keep a straight face as he looked across at her, when he couldn't his Cheshire Cat grin returned and he folded his hand on the table. "I bet it's the hands. They tell of your innocence. Because they're small like children's hands." Vladimir teased. He wasn't sure why he was like this, or how she brought out this side of him. Almost never was Vladimir someone to tease and joke with other people, but this girl here had melted his icy exterior, and was just at the core of who he was. He wasn't like this with anyone else. With others he still held firm to the ice block of a man. Vladimir wasn't sure if he liked it too much either. Feelings could get you killed and he wasn't fond of dying. Disappearing into the wind in ash wasn't how he wanted to go.

"Not a command," he paused, "commands are going to be later tonight." He said with a flick of his tongue as his eyes lit up. When Calliope began to laugh, Vlad couldn't help but laugh as well. His was very deep, a booming type laugh, nothing short of expectations. He watched as she leaned on the table, raising an eyebrow at her as he leaned back in his own, leg crossed over another at the knee, as he stared her down. "Well I guess if I meet my demise no one can say I wasn't warned." His shoulders rolled with a shrug as he looked back at Calliope. "But wouldn't it be better to know where my everything is before you took me out? For now I'm only a man with a wallet full of cash and some pricey clothes." He teased, watching her expression. When her smile came upon her lips he couldn't help but light up. His eyes lit up, his face, and he smiled too. Vladimir thought she was adorable and had the cutest smile. Not wanting to show feelings or weakness he quickly stifled his feelings.

"You're too badass to dislike meat." He commented blandly, pointing his fork at her for a moment. "You are crazy and like to go all out on things. You definitely eat meat. No vegetarian is that cool. They're all nerds." He said, not looking up from his food as he ate. When Vlad realized that he wasn't going to get an answer from her, he just decided to focus on his food. He wasn't the fastest eater, but with how Calliope at tonight he was able to finish first. Not that this really mattered. He would need more blood at some point though after having drained an entire grown man, he wouldn't /need/ it for a few days at least. This sustanence could help him, but barely. When he was done he pulled his wallet from his pocket. It was a black leather wallet, with a circle ensemble on one side, he opens it up and began to count to cash, mumbling in his head. He waved their waitress over for a bill, and when it was given he put down the cash for the food, before adding a much generous tip. Nodding as he was done and sliding the wallet back into his pocket, he folded his hands on the table and looked across at Calliope while she finished. "I've never seen someone so emotionless when they eat. It's quite comical." He said, he was patient as he waited for her to finish. When she was done he stood and offered her arm out to her again. "Come on my dear." He said in a soft voice. His lips ever so slightly curled up in a smile.

Calliope kept her gaze on Vlad, gaze narrowing a bit when his fingers and hand brushed down her forearm. She drew in a deep breath of air, hand reaching out to grab her glass of wine and take a healthy sip of it. “Well…if there was ever a time for me to get lost at 2 am, I’d say I’m rather fortunate that you were there to point me in the right direction,” she told him honestly, even if she wasn’t in the least bit lost. Another loud ringing laugh left her at his comparison of himself to being like the big bad wolf. She shook her head a bit at him and regarded him with a humored grin. The grin faltered a bit when she realized he’d referred to her as his ‘date’. Of course he would think this was just like any other date, Calliope was good at fooling people and making them believe certain things and this was one of them. “Is that what this is, Vlad? A date?” She questioned, feeling a bit vulnerable for even asking. For a few moments in their joking, she found herself, yet again, remembering that she had a job to do and keeping an eye on Vlad was a big part of it.

She rolled her eyes as he mentioned her hands, taking a bite of her food and shaking her head a bit at him. “My hands are not small like a child’s hands,” she told him bluntly. She smirked a bit to herself before placing her cutlery aside and leaning on her forearms on the table. “I think men want women or like women with small hands because they make their cocks look bigger than they actually are,” she told him in Russian, raising her voice enough that the few tables around them gave Calliope flabbergasted looks at the vulgarity that had just come out of such a proper looking women. Of course, she knew that Vlad did not need a woman with small hands to appear big, she just wanted to put him in his place as a result of his teasing.

“Commands may or may not be given by you tonight, Vladimir,” she told him bluntly, lifting a brow as she dug into her food once more. She kept her gaze on her food as he spoke, grinning to herself as she swallowed the last bite she had taken before bringing her gaze to his. “Why do you think I’ve asked you to dinner, Vlad?” She questioned, pushing her hair over her shoulder. “And even if I don’t find out where your everything is, the car we rode in today could put someone’s children through college,” she added before resuming eating her meal once more.

A soft hum left her as Vlad spoke, fork pushing around the last bite of lamb she had on her plate as her gaze found his. Once he finished speaking, she finished off both the carrots and the salad, leaving just that last bite on her plate. She noted when he paid for the bill that he hadn’t even asked if she wanted dessert. It wasn’t that she was still hungry, she just liked sweets when she got the opportunity to have them. Her gaze darted over to him as he mentioned her stoic expression while eating and she stabbed the last bit of lamb onto the end of her fork. Slowly, she popped it into her mouth, chewing it slowly as her eyes slipped shut and a low moan of pleasure vibrated in her throat and chest. Her smoldering gaze found his as she chewed, lips threatening to turn up at the corners. She stood as he did, eyes darting to his outstretched arm for a moment

Instead of grabbing it, she smoothed her hands over the collar of his shirt and straightened his tie up, thought neither needed a tidying. In a flash, her hands wrapped around the lapel of his jacket and she pulled him closer to her and this time she leaned into his ear. “I suppose I’m meant to be the dessert, huh?” She told him in a whisper, in Russian. She pulled away to gauge his reaction before turning, grabbing her clutch from the table, and slinking her way toward the entrance of the restaurant.

Vladimir was sincerely enjoying all of this banter between the two of them. It was bringing actual pleasure to him, and at least for the night his mind slipped away from needing to remain alive and needing to watch her to keep his little ones safe, that was the farthest thing from his train of thought. Right now all he was thinking was about how happy the woman in front of him was making him, he didn't understand, but he was genuinely happy and hadn't been in a while. Vlad looked across at Calliope and nodded. "Of course this is a date, my dear Calliope." He paused and gave her a teasing smirk. "You think I'd be spending this much money if it wasn't? That would have to be some friend." He said and shook his head. Taking her question as a joke. Vlad continued to eat, occasionally looking around. When he heard her speak Russian again he grinned, it seemed to be a turn on for them both. At her word showever he just raised and eyebrow, and licked his lips. "Oh honey, you know damn well I don't need any help in that area. Who wants to make a giant look bigger?" He replied in Russian, smirking from ear to ear as some of the ladies around them blushed from the couples comments.

Commands, commands, Vlad couldn't help but chuckle at the word. He knew one of them would be giving commands tonight. He hoped it'd be him, but he didn't mind this girl giving him commands either, she was hot and he loved her in bed. Though tonight he promised himself to stay the whole night, wanting to wake up with her, he thought that would be nice, and it brought another genuine smile to his lips. "I think you asked me to dinner because you're trying to convince me to sleep with you again before you murder me and steal my car." He teased as his gaze lifted to hers. His icy blue eyes cutting through her like a knife through butter. "But I mean we could always change venues some night and I could take you to my place and show you my everything. May I request though if I am to die will you at least take care of my little snowball? She's a good cat." He said and smiled softly at the mention of his pet. He did have a soft side, even if it was a kind of weird one.

When Vlad awaited Calliope to take his arm, and instead fixed his color and tie he couldn't help but let out a small groan, mimicking the moan she made at her food. But smirked nonetheless. Before he allowed her to slink away and go to the entrance, he grabbed her chin again and whispered, "Of course you're my dessert, save the sweetest for last. But I do have a surprise in the car." His voice lifted at the end to a cheery one, and he let her go. Vlad waited a few steps so he could walk behind her and watch her from behind. Licking his lips as his eyes scanned her body. "Mhmm mmm." He hummed out in approval as they exited the restaraunt. "You are so fine!" He called out loud into the dark night as the couple made their way to the car.

Vlad got her door before going around and getting into the drivers seat. He leaned back and reached into the back seat before pulling out a clear plastic container, and setting it in her lap. "Baklava. It's from a small bakery, closer to the part of town I live in. I have had much baklava in my life but no one beats this baklava. And anyone who tells you different is a damned liar." He said and gave her a smile, leaning down and kissing her cheer. "You think I'd let you go without sweets? What kind of man do you take me for?" He asked. Vlad began to drive back towards the hotel, not as much in a rush as he was earlier. So he took his time. "Can you feed me a piece or just hand it to me?" He asked, his glance only faltering from the road slightly.

Vlad pulled into the parking of the hotel, once again tossing the valet his keys and tipping him, before he went to Calliope, hand on her hip as he strode inside. He was quiet on their way up the elevator and to the penthouse, but it was just his usual self, he was keeping himself close to Calliope, and occasionally looked down at her with a small grin. When they arrived he swiped his card and shoved it back into the pocket as he slid into the door. He turned and pulled Calliope close before pressing a deep kiss to her lips. "I've got to go to the bathroom before we carry on with anything, that would certainly ruin the mood." He said and moved a strand of hair behind her ear. "Maybe call for some alcohol?" He poised before he disappeared into the bathroom of the suite. Vlad stood and looked at himself in the mirror, what had he gotten himself into, he was petrified of what he was doing but damn it he wasn't depriving himself of anymore pleasure than he had to. So what if she left so what, he wanted to live in the now not the future. As he was fiddling away in the bathroom, a buzz came from the door, and a cheery high pitched voice quipped, "Room service!" From the outside.

An audible gasp flew from Calliope when Vlad grabbed her chin once more, knowing she’d have to tell him to knock that off. It was jarring, but beyond that, it had her heart taking up a rapid pace every time he did it. It had her feeling vulnerable, like she had nothing else to do put look at him. She didn’t like that feeling one bit, particularly the vulnerable part. She cut her eyes at him playfully before continuing on her way. She quickly grabbed her coat and gloves, pulling them on and bundling herself up to brace herself from the cold. At the hum that left him, she shot a playful glare over her shoulder at him, shaking her head. When he spoke, another loud laugh left her and she glanced over at him again. “And you’re incorrigible,” she interjected, still glaring over at him.

When she found herself seated in the car once more, she glanced over at him, lifting a brow at the container that was placed on her thighs. “Oh fuck me,” she murmured to herself when she realized what it was. “I haven’t had baklava since the last time I was in Greece,” she said, grinning broadly and glancing over to Vlad. She popped the top of the container open and immediately lifted a piece to her mouth, it was conveniently cut into bite-sized slices, making it a lot easier to eat. Another moan left her, this one involuntarily as she slowly chewed the bite and swallowed it. “I lied. I’ll take both baklava and leather for gifts, Vlad,” she told him with a bright grin, leaning over and pressing her lips to his cheek in return, not caring if she left a mark behind this time. “I have half a mind to just eat all of it and leave you with none,” she murmured to herself but picked up a piece and fed it to him with a coy little grin on her features.

The walk from the car to the penthouse was rather unlike the previous days journey, but she appreciated the silence. It gave her time to realize the gravity of what was going on. She was letting herself become immensely distracted by Vlad, to the point where she forgot she was a hunter and he could potentially be a vampire. She tried not to let her inner turmoil show, forcing the smallest of grins on her lips, but on the inside she was screaming. He was causing her to lose control and she desperately needed to get a grip. When they entered the penthouse, Calliope was about to say something, but Vlad pressed his lips against hers before she got the chance to. A soft hum left her as she kissed him back, melting against him for a moment before he pulled away. “No, feel free to use anything in there if you need to. The jacuzzi tub is sounding quite nice to my feet right about now,” she said with a smile as she looked up at him. Before she got a chance to correct him and let him know she already had plenty of alcohol stashed away in the wet bar, he was out of the room.

Shrugging out of her jacket and pulling her gloves off, she tossed them on a couch in the room before rounding the bar to fix them both a drink. Just as she was dropping the ice into the tumblers, there was a buzz at the door. Calliope frowned and slowly made her way over to door, glancing through the peephole for a moment before pulling open the barrier. A peppy looking blonde woman stood on the other side of the door with a cart and a covered tray.

“I’m sorry. I’m afraid I didn’t order any-“ That was all Calliope got out before the blonde rushed toward her, fangs extended and hands grappling for her. The hunter didn’t even have time to think as she jumped back into the room gracefully, wondering how exactly a vampire had found her here. The blonde stopped in front of Calliope as the brunette took a fighting stance, hands raised up near her face as she hoped to goodness that Vlad would not enter the room anytime soon. The last thing she needed was for him to be dragged into this, vampire or no. She lunged at the blonde, who easily side-stepped her and brought a hand to the back of her head.

The blonde slammed Calliope’s face into the grand piano, feeling her cheekbone, nose, and lips crushed against the higher range of keys in an off-putting noise. A grunt left Calliope, the blow having knocked her a little discombobulated, and the blonde was quick to wrap a hand around her throat and throw her to the ground. Calliope used this to her advantage, quickly grabbing the stake she’d hid beneath the piano bench and ripping it from it’s hiding place. As the blonde neared her, she thrust her feet forward and into her chest, heels digging in hard, before quickly getting to her feet. She could feel her cheekbone throbbing, the split in her lips stinging, and warm blood running from her nose to her mouth, but now she was livid. Before the blonde had time to think, Calliope landed a high, thrusting kick with her heel to the blonde’s jaw, a loud crack of bone resounding through the hotel room almost as loudly as the piano did. This caused the blonde to stumble back, clutching at her face and glaring over at Calliope.

Vladimir grinned at her reaction to his dessert of choice. "That is the plan." He commented, and then chuckled at the moan. "Father was right, the way to a woman's heart is food." He said as he drove, he opened his mouth as he saw in his peripheral vision her holding a piece out To him. He chewed it and swallowed, also releasing a pleasurable sound. "Mhmm didn't I tell you this baklava is the best?" He quipped and looked over at her. "What if I get you some baklava and gift it to you in a leather case? Would that be the ultimate gift?" Vladimir teased. He was glad she was, or at least seemed to be, enjoying their second night together. He certainly knew that he was. Whether or not it ended in another lay he didn't care, he just wanted to spend the night with her. However she may want that. "You know, your penthouse may be nice, but you should come to my home tomorrow, or some point at your visit. It's a big old family home but is now occupied by me and my Snowball. Though a warning she owns the place and does as she pleases. I think cats own us more than we own them." He said and grinned.

Vladimir was in the bathroom, hearing the call of room service he relaxed slightly. At least he would have alcohol to calm his nerves. Or his feelings really. He was only nervous because he had feelings. For years he hid his feelings. Sick of experiencing loss. It seemed to him every time he had gotten feelings for a woman, they died as a human, or a hunter killed them, or another vampire killed them. And it hurt him time after time. So he had begun to stick with simply, nameless, one night stands. Rather than getting attracted and attached, but now this girl, went and fucked it all up. He stood tall and looked at himself in the mirror, and grinned. He thought to himself, fuck it, he had centuries to live, why not live risky, take another dive at a girl. It couldn't hurt him more than before. He undid his tie just enough so it would be easy for Calliope to grab it and pull him in, as well as undoing the top button of his shirt, and loosing the belt. He could t help but laugh at himself. He thought he looked like a hot mess. But hey as long as Calliope thought he did it didn't matter.

Just as he was about to leave he heard the sounds of the ensuing fight, mainly the piano and something being crushed against it. Vladimir flew out the door, and looked over at the vampire who was attack Calliope, and he was quickly filled with rage. He leaped, the entire fifteen feet from the door of the bathroom to the spot in front of Calliope, he threw one arm back in front of her to keep her from moving forward. His eyes were a deep red from the anger inside him, and his fangs were extended to their full length. His body seemed to be bulkier than usual, and much more tense. Vampires truly turned into monsters when they fought. "Get the fuck away!" He screamed at the other vampire. He knew exactly who she was, she was the rebel child. He was more pissed because they all knew to stay away. And didn't listen.

Vladimir leaped again, this time tackling the vampire at him. Though Vladimir was clearly superior in physically build, that didn't matter when they both had superhuman strength, long claw, and fangs. The two seemed to roll about on the ground, throwing hits or scratches. Vladimir was on the bottom when he threw his weight up to get her off, and grabbed the small vampire by the back of the neck and slamming her up against the wall. He spread her legs and kept one between it, his hand nearly digging into the wall to keep her there. "The fuck is your damage?!" He hissed at her, his free hand holding both others above her head. "You piece of shit, after all I did for you!" Though he soon got distracted in his yelling, she swung her leg out and got him straight between the legs and he collapsed to the ground, muttering fuck. The blond dove into him and grabbed his throat, threatening to rip it off. She went off on him, having gone soft for a hunter. Though the moment she insulted Calliope, Vladimir fought back again. He shot his hand up and grabbed her neck, ripping her face down to be close to his own. "Don't you fucking ever insult her again." He snarled, throwing her across the room before he stalked over and pinned her to the ground. His hand to her heart as he dug it into her chest, not even caring about the fact he was about to kill his own. And he ripped her heart form her chest cavity. And stood, just smirking. As the body and heart turned to ash he began to come down from the adrenaline high.

Vlad turned around. His eyes still red and body still hulked, by upon seeing her own wooden stake he was reverted back to his normal self, though he looked even paler. "Shit, shit, shit." He mumbled frantically, and began to pace nervously. "Shit, Calliope." He said and looked over at her. "Don't kill me, I have not even thought of killing you. Truly. You're gorgeous I didn't really think you were a hunter." He said. His voice was very high and he spoke fast, clearly terrified of what would come. "I can't deal with this oh man." He switched between talking to her and to himself. "I really can't do this." He looked at her. "Please don't hate me, please I care about you a lot. Like I haven't been like this in at least fifty years. I mean I really do care and I think you're great and beautiful. Fuck I killed a kid for you." He said and waved his hand behind him, pacing again. "I'm gonna leave, this is terrible." He said and ran a hand through his hair as sweat beaded down his head. "Unless you want me to stay I'm sure you don't though." He said with a whimper. He looked over at her again. His eyes were soft, scared. He was truly worried about losing her now. His mind wasn't even thinking about dying, just losing Calliope because of what he was, and what she was.

Calliope was just about to lunge at the blonde vampire but before she knew it a shape had stopped in front of her and an arm was thrown out to inhibit her movement. She frowned for a moment before realizing exactly what was going on. No human could have cleared the space that Vlad had in one jump and she knew then that her suspicions had been confirmed. Instinctually, she clutched her stake tighter in her hand, slowly backing away from the two of them. If they wanted to fight it out and kill each other, so be it, it only made it easier for Calliope to end the one who actually survived. Part of her wanted the victor to be Vlad, but the other part of her didn’t know if she could flat out kill him.

Once Vlad moved from in front of her, she quickly moved away from them, keeping a distance between the fight but her eyes never left them. Calliope could have used the distraction of the fight to her advantage and staked one of them in the back when they weren’t paying attention, but that was far too risky. The blonde vampire who attacked her seemed young and reckless, but Vlad seemed to be far older than his features would let on. So, instead of joining the fray and potentially having them team up on her, she clutched her stake tightly and stood off to the side with a tense expression. No matter how attached she already felt to Vlad, it had to end and she had to kill him. There was no other way out for her.

Her head shot up when the blonde insulted her, brow furrowing and gaze flashing and she wished she could have staked her right then and there. Vlad hadn’t gone soft for her, had he? This was all probably some elaborate show to get her to not kill him once he was done killing the blonde. The blonde vampire had made a mistake and Vlad was merely using it to save his own ass, right? Calliope circled the two of them slowly, creeping closer to the place where she’d hidden her crossbow with wooden bolts. If it came to it, she’d shoot the both of them down without hesitation. Her eyes widened a bit when she noted Vlad’s hand diving into the female vampire’s chest and him ripping her heart out.

She froze when he turned his gaze to her, drawing in a deep breath of air and steeling herself for a fight. Calliope had lifted her hands up in a fighting stance, clenched fist and stake up in guard as she braced her feet against the floor. Once his vampire countenance was dropped, she didn’t feel any less tense. In fact, it only set her on edge more. She listened to him speak with a stolid expression, eyes hard and breathing heavier than usual as she clenched her jaw hard. When it finally came for her to speak, she slowly lowered her hands, expression as fierce and unrelenting as ever.

“Don’t make me laugh, Vlad,” she spat at him through gritted, bloodstained teeth. “If I’d attacked you first, you would have defended yourself, don’t deny it.” She swallowed hard, hand gripping tightly onto the stake at her side. “You knew I was a hunter all along, so don’t play coy either. My whole intent on asking you to dinner was not for the food, I assure you. We’ve been circling each other this entire time, waiting to see who would strike first. It looks like your kid decided for you,” she spat, glancing for a brief moment to the pile of ash on the carpet before returning her hard, brown gaze back to him. “You see, that’s the whole reason I’m here, Vlad. The government asked me to eliminate vermin like you and your kind from the city and there is no option for me to fail outside of death,” she continued cooly. She paused for a moment, wiping the back of her hand beneath her nose and smearing blood across her face. “I’m going to assume it was you who killed the man found out in the town square this morning and I’m going to guess that you’ve already told your lovely children that I’m here and what I look like,” she said tightly, gaze never leaving his.

She tensely walked over to the bar and dropped a few ice cubes in a glass before lifting a nearly full bottle of bourbon onto the bar top. “I’m going to give you two options, Vladimir, which is one more than most of your kind get when I find them,” she told him, eyes briefly flickering over to him. “I’m going to go outside, smoke a cigarette, lick my wounds, and have a bit of a drink. You can either leave and and live another day to tell your beloved children to stand down or else they will all end up dead very soon or you can stay and die and become an example to the rest of the vampires in this city of what I can do.” She braced her hands on the bar top, staring him down relentlessly. “Because that is what I do, Vlad.” She was raising her voice now, nearly shaking with her anger. “I will scatter your ashes throughout the city so that when one of your kind even gets a whiff of the man you once were they will run in fear from me.”

With that, she snatched up the glass of ice, tenderly holding it to her swollen cheekbone with a wince. She managed to tuck the bottle of bourbon beneath her arm before grabbing her stake and leaving the room without a backwards glance to Vlad. She slammed the balcony door behind her, footsteps cracking hard on the concrete flooring before she lowered herself into one of the chairs. She set the glass of ice and bottle aside for a moment to pull a cigarette from the pack she had outside, placing it between her lips and lighting it up before she placed the cool glass against her cheekbone once more.
