"True," Matt said. "I'm not complaining, though. I love classics."

Scarlett looked at Matt a little shocked they seemed to have more in common then she originally thought. "How is it we fooling around for so long and I didn't even know we had a lot in common?"

"I guess we never thought to ask each other," Matt said with a shrug.

"To be honest with how many girls you fuck I never thought we'd be doing this still," she admitted.

"I'm not exactly who you think I am," Matt said. "I am a human with emotions and feelings, you know."

"Well you've never shown me this side of you before," Scarlett stated. "So can you blame me?"

Matt shrugged. He took another bite of his sandwich. "You haven't exactly shown me this side of you either," he said.

"Why be vulnerable around someone who doesn't give a shit," she asked.

"I do give a shit," Matt said.

"You have a funny way of showing it," Scarlett mumbled. She had finished eating so she took her plate to the kitchen and cleaned it, leaving it on the drying rack to dry before she walked back into her living room and sat back down by Matt.

"I'm sorry," Matt said.

Scarlett didn't respond to Matt, completely focusing on the movie instead.

Matt finished eating and stood up, walking to the kitchen to rinse his plate. When he walked back to the living room, he looked st Scarlett, watching her for a moment before he walked over and leaned down, kissing her lips softly.

Scarlett hesitated for a few moments, shocked Matt was kissing her before she kissed him back.

Matt reached up and placed his hand on her cheek, deepening the kiss.

Scarlett felt Matt's hand on her cheek, moving away from his kiss and leaned against the couch. "I can't," she mumbled. "Brian genuinely wants to date me."

Matt frowned as he looked at her. "Then why did you let me over?" he asked.

"Because for once I thought you wanted to just hang out," Scarlett stated. She rolled her eyes and got up off the couch, pissed she had let her guard down around Matt now. "You know if you hadn't been so damn greedy and had to fuck everyone in the office Brian wouldn't have even looked my way."

"I never knew you had a say in who I fucked," Matt said, narrowing his eyes slightly. "We both agreed we weren't going to be exclusive, that we could both see whoever we wanted. We were friends with benefits, nothing more. You have no right to get angry over who I fuck. I thought we were both adults here."

"I'm not angry," Scarlett stated. "Brian is and even if he denies it he's trying to move on from Paige with me." She moved to stand in front of Matt and placed her hands on his chest. "He's the only friend I have and he's miserable Matt."
