I continued to eat silently and I felt a little nervous when I heard Kylie asked about the mall. I hoped they wouldn’t have a problem with it. I needed to the test and I couldn’t do it with Brian around.

Matt

I ate my pizza and talked with Brian as the girls stayed silent. I knew something was up. I looked at Kylie. “Anything special going on?” I asked, trying to see if they would hint at why they were so nervous. I gently squeezed Kylie’s thigh.

Brian

I looked over at Cameron who was avoiding eye contact. That usually meant she was up to something, I sat my pizza crust down before leaning back slightly, "Cameron, look at me." I said.

Kylie

I looked over at Brian, he looked like he was getting irritated with Cameron's constant silence, Matt did the same thing whenever I wouldn't answer him, and then he'd hit me if I didn't answer fast enough. I swallowed the lump in my throat, feeling Matt squeeze my thigh. "Cameron and I wanted to know if we could go to the mall for a bit." I said, trying to stop a fight befor it started.

I knew what would happen if I delayed looking at Brian. I looked at him, looking into his brown eyes. "Yeah we just wanted to go to the mall and maybe go to Starbucks" I managed to say, not moving my eyes from his. I hoped he would say yes.

Matt

I looked at Kylie when she answered before looking over at Cameron and Brian. I eased up on Kylie's thigh but kept my hand there. I kept silent so I wouldn't add to the tenison.

Brian

I looked at Cameron and then Matt. I looked back at my girlfriend, “you have two hours and that’s it.” I told her. I went back to eating my pizza and then took my plate to the sink when I was done.

Kylie

I looked over at Brian whenever he said we could go out for two hours. I felt Matt squeeze my thigh again. “Thank you.” I told Brian. “Don’t mention it.” He said. Cameron and I both knew what would happen if we weren’t back here within the two hour limit.

“Ok. I will make sure we will” I said as I finished my food. I then got up and walked over to Brian. “Thank you for letting me go” I said to him, hugging him. I knew he was iriritsted with me.

I loosened my hand on her thigh once she said thank you. I really hoped that they would come back in time. “You can take my card baby” I said to her. I tried not to be an asshole all the time. Sometimes she just drove me crazy.

Brian

I hugged her back. “Here baby,” I said, grabbing my wallet and handing her my card. “Don’t go too wild but do enjoy yourself.” I said, kissing her forehead.

“Thank you.” I said, when Matt gave me his card. I kissed his cheek before getting up. “We’ll be back soon.” I said, following Lilith out to the living room so she could grab the car keys off the hook.

I grabbed his card and slipped it in my pocket. “I promise I won’t” I said before getting my tip toes and kissing him gently. “Thank you. I love you” I said before walking out with Kylie to the living room. I knew later that he would ask me a million questions about why I was acting weird. I hoped I wouldn’t have to tell him I was pregnant. I wanted the test to be negative so bad.

“Ok babe” I said as I watched the girls leave. Once I heard the front door shut, I looked over at Brian. “I really think they are up to something man” I did before taking a swig of my beer. The girls were acting very suspicious.

Kylie

“Let’s go get your test.” I told her. I drove to Walmart and walked in with her. “I know you’re nervous, I am too.” I told her as we got to the aisle that had the pregnancy tests.

Brian

I nodded. “I think they are too.” I said, taking a drink of my beer. “I guess we’ll find out later when they get back.” I said, “in the meantime, want to play some Call of Duty?”

I tried to relax and breathe as we walked through walmart. It was very difficult since this was a very big deal. I didn't know what I was going to do if I was pregnant. Once we got to the pregnancy tests, I grabbed a couple. I stayed silent as we made our way to the checkouts. Thoughts going through my mind including Brian murdering me over me being pregnant.

Matt

I nodded as I got up. "Yeah guess so and sounds like a plan" I said as I followed Brian into the living room. Once I walked in, I sat down and grabbed a controller. In the back of my mind I wondered what was going on with the girls.

After we paid, I looked at Cameron. “Do you want to take one here?” I asked her. She would have to do it here or we’d have to go some place else. I knew she didn’t want to do it at her and Brian’s place. “Or we can run back to Matt’s house really quick and take it there?”

Brian

“I’m so going to kick your ass.” I smirked as we started the game. It was hard to concentrate whenever I kept thinking of the girls and thinking they were hiding something.

(Sonwhat if Cameron takes the pregnancy test at Matt and Kylie’s and Matt sees it when they get home, whether it’s positive or negative, and it starts a fight between him and Kylie on top of her being in trouble for being late?)

Cameron.

I thought about for a moment. “Okay. Let’s go back to Matt’s.” I said as I walked with back to her car. I was so nervous about what the results were going to be. I tried to relax as we headed back.

“Oh we will see fucker” I said with a smirk as I began to play the game. It was good distraction. Part of my mind was still obsessing over the idea that Kylie could be hiding something. They were both acting very suspious.

I drove us back to Matt’s and we both got out and headed inside. “I’ll make us some coffee while you go take the test, okay?” I said and watched her go upstairs. I got us some coffee made and left it to cool off as I went upstairs. “Cam, you okay?” I asked outside the bathroom door.

Brian

I chuckled as we started the game, determined to beat him. I was still thinking the girls were hiding something from us sinc they were both acting suspicious but we would have to wait until they returned home to know.

“Okay” I said softly to Kylie before making my way upstairs. My nerves were getting to me as I went to the bathroom and took the test. I prayed that the test would be negative. I paced the bathroom as I waited until it was time to look. I flipped it over and it was positive. Tears came up almost automatically. I opened the door when I heard Kylie. “It’s positive” I said softly with the test in my hands. I didn’t know what I was going to do. All I knew is that Brian would be angry.

I played the game with Brian until I noticed it was almost time for the girls to be home. “One second man” I said as I paused it. I grabbed my phone and texted Kylie. “It’s almost time for you to be back at Brian’s. You guys better not be late” I texted her. Warning her that there will be consequences if she was late.

I frowned whenever Cameron told me it was positive. “Oh Cam, I’m so sorry.” I said, hugging her. I let her cry on my shoulder as long as she needed. I felt my phone vibrate but I ignored it. When she finally composed herself, I looked at her. “It’s going to be okay. Maybe Brian will be accepting and won’t be such an asshole anymore.” I tried to assure her. It was then that I noticed the time. “Shit...we need to go, we’re already two minutes late on our two hour time..” I said.

“Did you text Kylie?” I smirked. I knew he had and it was unusual for Kylie not to respond and I could see Matt getting angry. Time passed and soon the two hours were up. I was just as mad as Matt. “Cameron had better enjoyed her day out because that’s the last one she’ll get for a long time.” I said. I heard a car pull up two doors shut before my front door opened.

I hugged Kylie and nodded, following her. I put the test in my pocket. In a rush I accidentally left the box and wrapper. We made it in 5 minutes, rushing into my house. I had composed myself mostly but my face was still a little red. “Sorry traffic was awful” I said as I saw Brian look at me. I knew I was going to be in trouble.

Matt

I felt my blood began to boil when I didn’t get a text from Kylie. I then noticed the time. “The same with Kylie” i said as I heard car doors and then I saw the two girls scrambled to get inside. “There better be a good reason why you are late” I said looking at both of them. I heard Cameron’s reply and I just looked at Kylie. “Go to the car now” I said in a stern voice.

Brian

I didn’t believe her for a second. I watched Kylie leave whenever Matt told her to go to the car and then I looked at my friend. “See ya man.” I told him as he grabbed his jacket and left. I then looked at Cameron. “Don’t give me that traffic was busy bullshit. I hope you enjoyed your day out because it’s the last one you’ll have for a long time. Go upstairs and wait for me in our room.” I said, looking down at her.

I quickly walked to the car and sat down in it. It didn’t take long for Matt to join me and I could tell he was pissed off. He didn’t speak to me on the drive home and when we got home, I went inside and waited in the living room for him. “Please don’t be mad, we really did lose track of time..”

I wanted to argue with Brian but I knew it wouldn’t be any use. I just walked upstairs silently and waited on the bed. I emptied my purse’s contents.He had to see if I was cheating on him. The pregnancy test was in my jeans pocket. I got it out and placed it next to my purse. I didn’t know who he would react to me being pregnant but I took a breath as I waited for what was to come.

I stayed silent until I walked into the living room. “You should have left earlier. Why must you do this every time. You were cheating on me weren’t you? That’s why you were so distracted?” I suggested as I looked her up and down. I felt my blood began to boil as I looked at her.

I followed Cameron upstairs to our room, seeing she had dumped the contents of her purse out. I made sure there was no evidence of her cheating on me and then I stopped when I saw the pregnancy test. “What is that?” I asked, my hand hovering above it but not touching it.

“What? No! Why do you always accuse me of cheating on you whenever I go out of the house without you?” I asked. I could tell her was pissed off but I was tired of his crazy accusations. I didn’t even give him time to answer, just headed up the stairs for our room.

I bit my lip when he asked what the test was. “It’s a pregnancy test.” I said softly and closed my eyes expecting to get hit or him to get angry with her. She felt scared at the moment.

I felt my blood boil when she yelled and stormed up the stairs. I walked into our room. “Because you cheated to get with me!” And I’m gone all the time” I said grabbing her and pushing her against the wall. The anger was taking control of me again.
