Dawn of the Gods Co-Write

I know if I get in a good groove, I can do 2,000 words. But that's a pretty high bar to set for myself right now haha so I agree with the first solo chapter being the length setter.

I REALLY like that idea of opposing powers in the same prologue chapter. Would it be too complicated to also make that the writing order? Light, Dark, Fire, Water, Wind, Earth?

More on the prologue chapters, we're going to be essentially answering the big W questions. Who they are, What their purpose is, Why they decided to undertake this task, and the settings we describe will answer the when and where.

Well, since I'm going first, how could I start it? Maybe on the morning of their last day?

Would it be a quick morning to night for each character or would each section be a certain time of day leading up to the following section?
I'm not sure if my question is clear haha......

Maybe we could write it so all of them, with the prologues, make up the entire last day. Like the first two can be the morning, the next two could be afternoon, and the last two be the night of their last day. Just so we don't keep repeating all the same information over and over again.

Okay, so right now we are starting with them finishing their training in the first three chapters. And then after that, they will all be in purgatory. What major things are going to happen there, just so we can get the timeline going.

I was thinking about how they would get clues on how to track Hades' spawn when they get there (also, what they would call him cause they don't know it's really Mohammed)... like, do they get some wise all knowing mysterious guide?
But also, what does purgatory look like in you guys' minds? I can only think about scenes from Supernatural with Leviathan and whatnot haha

Maybe they could each get some clues in a dream or something, including Mohammed.

My idea of purgatory is just a white space.

The dreams actually go along with what I was planning for Mohammed xD Like, he starts hearing voices and seeing things that no one else can because of his connection to purgatory via being Hades spawn. And I dunno if you guys ever saw a show called Sleepy Hollow, but that's how I see purgatory xD

And I'm crazy busy irl so I won't respond every day, but like every other day :)

Oh ok, the voices and hallucinations would be cool for him. I wonder if he would tell the others about them or keep it a secret.... *gasp* Or! Since he doesn't really know what they're all about, maybe he'll interpret them as helpful dreams that tell the group where they need to go but, of course, in the end it would've all been an elaborate trap.

As far as details in the timeline, I'd like to think of personal struggles or obstacles I want my characters to overcome and mold the timeline around that.

Maybe someone can think that Hades's child is one of them and start fighting over who it could be, causing a sort of rift in their relationship. Maybe they take sides on who it could be and start drama that way.

I don't know if we do have an end in mind. I mean, once they find out that he is the son of Hades, something has to happen, right? It can't just end with them finding out. Maybe some sort of fight can happen, like a big scale one between the gods and Hades.

yeah, I like the idea of an all out fight. So now we can gear the plot to that very moment of conflict. Right after they leave their training... they some how figure out that Hades' son is supposed to be in Purgatory. Then they some how get there. And then what?
