I struggled to stay awake. I had been waiting for Matt to fall asleep. He had gone to bed around Midnight, and I went at the same time. Once I heard him close his door, I had closed mine. I was trying to decide between the window, or the front door. If i went through the front door, I would have to pass Matt's room, and pray to God that he was asleep. If I took the window, he may never know that I was gone. Deciding with the window, I carefully opened it. Throwing the majority of blankets and pillows, along with any cushions, out the window, I managed to create a semi decent landing zone that wouldn't hurt as bad when I jumped. I tied the rope tassel from the curtains to the leg of the bed and threw it out the window. Seeing that it only went about halfway down the house, I bit my lip, knowing I would have to jump the rest of the way. I climbed down it as far as I could and jumped. Once I landed, I made my way for the front gate. Looking through the bars, I could see the forest beyond them, along with the long driveway that looked as if it went on for miles. As quick as I could, I scaled it, dropping down to the other side, I began to run for the woods, knowing that if he was awake, it wouldn't be long until he was after me.
