Annalise
I couldn't work comfortably for the rest of my shift, knowing that my boss was constantly watching me. I even tried putting in earbuds to keep the world around me, out. It didn't work. I sat there patiently waiting for five o clock to roll around. Whenever it finally did, I stood up, collecting the papers that I had printed out before Mr. Sanders even came near my desk. I stuffed them into my purse and punched out before grabbing my coffee cup and sunglasses. I turned my little lamp off and made my way toward the front of the building. I was always one of the last people out, the only other people here was the head honcho and Valary.
Just as I was heading toward the front door, I heard Valary call my name. I huffed with irritation before walking over to the reception desk. "Mr. Sanders wanted to speak with you before you left today. His office is on the fourth floor. Just knock before you go in. " She said before going back to her computer. I narrowed my eyes slightly before quickly slipping the documents into her paper shredder. I then made my way to the elevator. Waiting patiently, it finally dinged and I walked through. The building was warily quiet, and there was absolutely nobody around. Something didn't feel right, I had kept to my work for the remainder of the day, so why did he want to see me? I walked over to the set of mahogany doors and knocked before entering. Seeing he was on the phone, I was going to stand by the door and wait, but he pointed to the chair across from his desk, a glare on his face. I couldn't tell if it was meant for me or the person he was on the phone with. He hung up and all he said to me was "sit," I hesitated a moment before walking over. I sat down and set my purse down before looking at him. " You wanted to see me sir?" I said, looking into his hazel eyes.
