Rylie leaned against the wall of Starbucks, trying not to cry. Her "boyfriend" had just admitted he was only using her for sex and was actually cheating on her throughout their whole eight month relationship. She was devasted. She wiped her face before going to her car, where she could cry without anyone looking at her funny.

Three months had passed and Rylie had cut off dating all together. There was no point, she was tired of being used by guys. She decided to treat herself to a night out at the bar. She sat at the bar, sipping her drink and checking her social media accounts. She didn't even notice a second glass of what she was drinking being placed in front of her until she went to grab her drink and noticed the new one.

"I didn't order another drink." She told the bartender. "I know. The gentleman at the end of the bar order it for you." She said, pointing down to the end. Rylie turned her head, seeing a very attractive young man looking at her with a perfect white smile.

Matt had been sitting there for what felt like hours, staring at the brunette across the bar. He'd stormed out of the house after another fight with Abbey-- what felt like the millionth one that week-- and ended up here. She was the first person that his eyes landed on, and while he nursed his beer he tried to think of how to best approach her.

That's when he came up with ordering her another drink. Girls always liked that, right? He told the bartender what to do when he came by, slipping him the money. He watched out of the corner of his eye as the drink was placed in front of her, a smirk growing on his face. Matt tipped his beer in her direction, giving her a grin when she looked over.

Fuck it, he thought as he chugged the rest of his beer. I'm gonna go over and talk to her. The vocalist got up and walked across the bar, taking a seat next to the mystery girl. "Hey there, I'm Matt."

"Rylie. Thanks for the drink." She said. She looked at him, he looked really familiar like she had seen him somewhere but she couldn't remember where. He had really pretty eyes though and she couldn't help staring.

"Not a problem at all... a beautiful lady like you shouldn't have to pay for her own drinks." Matt spoke, sitting down next to her. "This seat taken?" He asked jokingly. "So, Rylie... what brings you out here? I don't think I've seen your face before. I'd definitely remember it."

Rylie laughed a little. "Uh, well I don't go out much, honestly. This is the first time in about three months that I've actually gone out to treat myself. I usually just go to work and go home." She admitted.

Matt raised a brow, sipping his beer as he listened to Rylie talk. "A pretty girl like you deserves to treat herself." He spoke, setting his drink down on the bar. "But I know how that goes. This is my first time off in awhile."

Rylie smiled. "Thank you." She said when he mentioned she was pretty. "Oh yeah? Busy man?" She teased. She stole a glance at his hands, glad she didn't see a wedding ring or anything, she figured he must be single.

Matt chuckled. "You could say that," he spoke, running a hand through his hair. "I'm in a band with a few of my friends, we just got back from touring all summer practically."

Rylie looked at him for a moment or two. "Well, that explains why you look familiar. Avenged Sevenfold, right?" She asked. She couldn't believe she was talking to one of her idols.

Matt raised a brow, nodding when Rylie correctly guessed the name of the band. "You guessed it... Am I really that recognizable?" He joked.

Rylie smiled. "It's your eyes and dimples." She said. "I love your band. I wanted to go see the show a couple weeks ago when you guys were in SanFran but I couldn't find anyone to cover my shift at work." She said.

Matt smiled softly, the corners of his mouth dipping down when she mentioned not being able to see them. "I'm sorry about that," he spoke, sipping his beer again. "The next time we have a local show, I can put you on the guest list."

"Really?!" Rylie asked, getting excited before reeling it in. "I mean, that'd be cool, yeah." She smiled and finished her first drink before starting on the one he bought her.

Matt nodded his head, a light chuckle leaving his lips at how excited Rylie suddenly got. "Of course, it's really no problem. Like I said, anything for a pretty lady."

"Wow. I can not believe that M.Shadows thinks I'm pretty. This must be my lucky day." Rylie smiled, looking at him. "What are you doing after you finish up here?" She asked.

Matt thought briefly of his plans for the rest of the evening. Abbey had left to go spend the evening back at the apartment she shared with her sister, so she'd be out of the house for the rest of the night. "Honestly, I'm not too sure. What about you, Rylie."

"Nothing. Probably going to head home and watch some tv before calling it a night." She admitted. "I'm pretty boring." Rylie laughed slightly.

"Honestly, so am I. I'd much rather crash at home in front of a movie, or something like that." He finished up his beer before putting the bottle back down on the bar and looking over at Rylie. "Why don't you just come back to my place? We can watch tv together... or we could think of something else to do." Matt smirked.

Rylie smiled and blushed slightly. "Okay, sounds good." She said and gave him a smile. Once they finished up, she looked at him. "I guess I'll just follow you?" She said, since she had drove to the bar.
