Angels Fall

Luna looked at him, "Do you count every scar?" She asked him. She watched him, "Keegan do you think you have a mental disorder?" She asked him. If anything he made her think he had OCD. She closed his file looked at him, "I wont write any of this down if you really talk to me." She explained.

Erik sighed as he watched everyone. Once everyone left the party he found Raven. "So what all did you hear?" He asked. Erik knew bringing up the rumors would do him no good in front of everyone. He stared at her, "Start explaining." He said.

Keegan nodded, "It's not hard when you know exactly how many cigarette buds were put out on you." He told her shrugging. He sighed hearing her and said, "No. Everyone thinks I'm fucking crazy too for counting my scars." He shook his head. "I count them as a reminder that even through that shit i'm still here." He told her explaining for once when she said she wouldn't write it down. "It makes it easier for me to know that if I could survive that shit then I can survive whatever else fucking comes at me." He laughed shaking his head, "Sounds stupid when you say it out loud, but whatever. No one has to understand me." He shrugged before finally looking up and looking at her waiting for a reaction.

Raven was about to leave too when Erik came up to her. She sighed and said, "Come on." She muttered before walking over to a seat and sitting down. She took her heels off and sighed before looking at him. "Come on sit down, I'm not gonna bite." She said before looking at him and taking a sip of her drink. "When I was a maid a lot of the guys kept having meetings in this guy David's room. They were all talking about "overthrowing" you, a mutiny if you will. They kept saying you weren't fit and a lot of other shit I don't care to say because it's honestly just going to piss you off and you need to think with a clear head." She told him gently. "The main part is they're talking about taking you out and taking over the gang. I don't know when or where. They didn't like the girls staying around too long. I always cleaned their shit and got out. I made myself scarce so I wouldn't lose my temper." She sighed. She finished and looked up at him before seeing a glint in the darkness and frowned grabbing his arm pulling him to the side before feeling the blade of a knife going into her shoulder. She screamed and said, "I guess the mutiny is now." She gasped not daring to pull the knife out. She was pissed that she didn't have her weapon on her. She grabbed a butter knife and stabbed the guy in the eye and muttered, "It's your turn because I don't have a weapon." She saw blood all over her shirt and felt dizzy and muttered, "Fuck."

Luna watched him, "It's not stupid." She said. "Do you count anything else?" She asked him. She was glad that he was finally opening up to her. "Who burned you with cigarettes?" She asked him. Luna knew he wasn't a fan of questions, but she knew she had to get to know him somehow. Luna seen him start to become uncomfortable with the questions. "I have an idea. Why don't you ask me a question and I will ask you one. That way you don't feel like this is an interrogation." She explained.

Erik frowned as he watched the knife go into her flesh. He pulled his gun out, shooting a few of the guys. The loyal men of his gang helped shoot some. "Get down." Erik said, pulling her away to avoid getting shot. Erik looked at her, before turning and shooting another guy. He couldn't believe this was happening. He was really getting tired of people taking advantage of him and his gang. He was going to have to become meaner apparently. A lot of the guys didn't like that he was in charge. Erik heard the firing stop and he sighed, knowing they killed a lot of the guys. "Well this is going to a fucking mess to clean up." Marco said on the other side of the room, laughter filling the area from all the guys.

Keegan heard her and thought about it and shook his head. "Not really." He told her. "Just that." He looked back and laughed hearing her, "Take your pick. My dad, mom, sister, brother, uncles, aunts, the list goes on and on." He told her shrugging. He shifted in his seat, getting uncomfortable with all of the questions. He looked up hearing her and blinked before asking, "What's your name? No one ever told me." He told her his head tilted to the side as he asked. He lifted his hand, his handcuffs clinking as he ran a hand through his hair pushing it back a little. He set them back down watching her still his eyes meeting her with a sort of intensity to them.

Raven didn't need to be told more than once and ducked down. She muttered, "I really need a gun." She sighed feeling the dizziness in her. She gripped the knife's handle before pulling it out of her shoulder gasping in pain before throwing it hitting one guy in the forehead. "Asshole." She hissed before grabbing napkins pressing it harshly to her shoulder knowing she would need to sew it up. She had half of her shirt down exposing the top of her breasts as well as her collarbones. She didn't care about being decent at the moment she needed her wound to stop bleeding. She poured alcohol on it gritting her teeth before grabbing a rag and pushing it on it holding it down hard. She heard Marco and shook her head and just laughed a little. "You'll never get the blood out." She stood up and winced leaning against the table for support. She just realized that she took a knife for a crime boss and wondered what in the hell was wrong with her. She knew he probably didn't care that she had done that either.

Luna listened to his question, "My name is Luna." She said. "Is the reason your friends don't visit because you are in a gang?" She asked. She knew she wasn't writing any of this down so it didn't matter what he said to her. Luna had the inner urge to keep asking, but she knew she had to let him have his turn. Luna leaned back against her chair, watching him, her eyes not leaving his.

Erik got up, "Patch her up Eli." He said, watching as the guy moved over to her to help with the wound. He knew she was too valuable to let go now that she had saved his life. Erik would be making sure that she was well taken care of. "Alright start getting these assholes out of here. Fuckers ruined my rug." He said, shaking his head. He hated that he couldn't trust anyone and the one person he did trust was in jail.

Keegan nodded gently and let the name run through his brain. He realized she hadn't given him a last name, but knew that was for her safety more than likely. He didn't blame her, and wasn't going to pry for it. He didn't want to seem like a creep. He heard her and chuckled and said, "I've only got one friend, and yes. It's because i'm in a gang." He told her knowing she wasn't writing any of it down so it couldn't be used in a courtroom. He was glad she wasn't writing anything down, it made him feel far more comfortable. "Why did you pick this job? To study at inmates instead of a less dangerous job?" He asked her confused by that. She didn't seem like the type to just come in to interview criminals without a reason, especially not a criminal that was always handcuffed, had a temper, and was in isolation basically.

Raven heard Erik and was surprised at that, but kept her face from showing. She just nodded and let him start to sew it up. He looked down and went, "Damn, she doesn't even flinch when you put stitches in. One tough bitch." Raven just laughed and said, "I've had my fair share of stitches." She shrugged. "It hurts, but it's not the worst. The worst part was putting the whiskey on it." She sighed once he was done and fixed her shirt ignoring some of the hungry stares from the guys. She heard Erik and was going to help but realized that she wasn't going to be much help when her shoulder all fucked up. She'd just get in the way. She walked over to Erik and said, "You alright?" She let her hands rest at her sides, her fingers tapping the sides of her leg out of habit. She watched him before saying, "I didn't know they were going to do it tonight, otherwise I would've made you listen to me when I first mentioned it." She said lowly knowing no one else but the two of them knew. She had blood in her hair and she pushed it away from her face.

Luna looked at him when he asked why she picked the job. She ran her fingers through her hair, "My brother was in jail for most of his life. He suffered from bipolar disorder and one night he killed some little old lady by stabbing her one hundred times. He was put back in jail on a life sentence and ended up killing himself in prison." She explained. She didn't tell many people that story. "That is why i choose to work here." She said. "How long have you been in the gang?" She asked.

Erik nodded, "Yea I'm fine. Thanks for taking that knife for me." He said. "I owe you." He said, smirking. He shook his head, "Don't worry about it. These guys...they are pissed because I got made the leader. A lot of them fell into line, but others were bitter. Clearly." He said. He looked at her, "Why don't you go get cleaned up and we will take care of this mess." He said.

Keegan watched her as she told the story and nodded. "Life sucks." He shook his head, not knowing how to respond to that. He shrugged and said, "I've been in and out of gangs for a while since I was 16 I think was when I joined my first one. I've been in this once since I was 19 though." He nodded getting the age right. "So just depends on which one you're talking about." He sighed stretching before he heard outside the guards talking loudly about how one of the patients was coming in to see Luna because it was an emergency. He looked up seeing one of the crazies and just sat in his chair watching closely. His name was Paul or some shit like that. He glanced at Luna, but looked down at his handcuffs and hoped this didn't go bad. He'd need his hands if it did.

Raven laughed hearing him, "Told you my smart mouth comes in handy." She shrugged and listened to him. "Well, now they know not to fuck with you." She told him. "Whether they're bitter or not, when they see the dead bodies, I'm sure they won't try anything." She told him. Hearing him, she nodded and said, "Probably a good idea." She grabbed her heals and nodded her head before leaving the room to go to her quarters. Once there, she sighed calling her captain and giving him information, making sure she spoke quietly. She got off the phone hiding it within her stuff. She got out of her clothes and took a hot shower wincing at the water on her wound. She finished up showering and got on a pair of shorts and a tank top. She climbed into her bed and played on her phone they had given her to use in front of the gang. She ended up falling asleep.

Luna frowned when she heard the guard, "I guess our visit is getting cut short." She said. She got to her feet, sighing as the guard opened the door. Luna watched as the guy managed to hit on of the guards. He shoved Luna, causing her to stumble into Keegan. Though her small body hitting his, didn't even budge him. She stood there, "I can't take care of him like that. You are going to have to restrain him til he calms down." She told them. She rolled her eyes when the guard bitched about having to take him somewhere else. Luna hated half of the guys that worked in the prison. Luna sighed as they took him out, before looking at Keegan. "Sorry about that." She said.

Erik walked up to his bedroom late that night. He a shower, getting ready for bed. Erik climbed into his bed, turning on his tv. He stayed up pretty late until he fell asleep. He woke up that morning, sighing as he stared up at the ceiling. Erik didn't want to get out of bed, but he knew he was going to have to. He got up, getting dressed before he walked downstairs. He got himself a cup of coffee and sat down.

Keegan watched the guy carefully and saw him hit one of the guards and snorted a little unable to help it. He saw him shove Luna and let his hands rest on her back putting her back up gently. He dropped his hands back to his lap and watched the guards. He heard them bitching and said, "Excuse me, but i'm kind of in the middle of something, and your bitching is annoying." He said getting a glare from the guard. "Fuck off." He told them knowing he was going to get smacked later for that. The guard grumbled something before walking out. He shook his head and said, "It's fine." He told her shrugging. "I'm not important." He told her before yawning knowing he hadn't been sleeping since he had gotten here.

Raven woke up and groaned at her arm and took two tylenol and two ibuprofen. She wondered if she even needed to get up. She stood up and immediately sat back down feeling woozy, probably from all the blood loss. She just kept sitting down before shaking her head figuring she had best just keep it on a down low today. She knew she wouldn't be able to do anything. She got on a pair of tights and a loose fitting t-shirt and some sneakers. She went out of her room and went and got a donut. She sat down and pulled her knees to her chest as she did so looking at her phone. She was playing wheel of fortune. She heard someone speaking to her and looked up seeing it was one of the guys from the party and let him sit down beside her, making friendly conversation with him, having rebandaged her shoulder earlier this morning.

Luna looked at him, "You are so important. You are my favorite person I talk to all day here." She said, smiling as she sat down. It wasn't a lie. He was the only one who wasn't complete messed up in the head. "Here's my question, if your friend is in the gang as well then how is he suppose to pick you up?" She asked him once everyone was gone. Luna was going to miss having him to talk to when he was gone. Though sadly he would probably be arrested again.

Erik walked out of the kitchen, seeing Raven. "Good you are up." He said. "We need to start your initiation today." He said, smirking. He figured he would start small and have her rob some gas station. He wanted to make sure she was willing to put herself on the line for his gang.

Keegan looked at her as she spoke and laughed and said, "Well, thanks, I guess." He smiled softly before looking out the window. He heard her and raised an eyebrow and said, "Not sure yet. I'll probably walk a mile or two down the road and he'll pick me up there." He shrugged. He didn't know why he was telling her this. "Probably going to just be walking a while." He laughed. He shrugged once more and said, "Why am I your favorite person?" He asked her his eyes watching her like a hawk. He didn't mean to look so threatening, but that was how he had always been taught how to present himself. He didn't know how to show a nice side anymore.

Raven looked up hearing him and said, "I took a knife for you. Isn't that initiation enough?" She laughed shaking her head and said, "Or are you just fucking with me now?" She shook her head eating her donut. She realized her feet were to her chest and put them down gently before looking back up at him. She didn't really want to do this pointless initiation. She knew it was mandatory but she wished she could just skip it and go about her day. She wanted to just lay around at the moment. She was always active, but today she wanted more than anything to just sit somewhere and watch television.

Luna looked at him, "I mean they give you fifty bucks when you leave. You could always take a bus somewhere and have him pick you up there." She said. She didn't know why she was giving him ideas on how to get away with something. She looked at him, "Plenty of reasons, you aren't completely crazy, you can hold a conversation when you want to, you haven't threatened my life...yet, and you don't look at me with the perverted eyes that a lot of the guys have in here." She said, laughing softly.

Erik shook his head, "No that isn't how that works. It did help you a little, but you still have stuff you want to do. So, lets go." He said. He grabbed his keys, waiting for her at the door. He waited til she was in his car, then drove til they were at a gas station that he knew she wouldn't get caught at. "You run fast?" He asked as they sat across the street. He looked at her, smirking.

Keegan nodded and said, "I could, but I'd rather not be more cooped up inside of a vehicle with even more people." He shrugged softly before murmuring, "It's more of a preference than anything else." He was surprised that she was trying to help him. He laughed hearing her. "Completely crazy." He mused with a small smile on his face. He shook his head and said, "Nah. You're pretty and cute and shit, but that's not me. I watched my dad beat the shit out of the girls he brought home. That's not how you treat a person, let alone a woman." He told her. "Just not me." He told her, wondering how she would take him calling her pretty. He popped his neck sighed at the fact that these clothes were rough on the skin.

Raven sighed shaking her head hearing him. She left her stuff there and just walked out with him. She got into the car and heard him. "Probably would run faster if I didn't have a hole in my arm." She said without thinking about who she was talking to. She was surveilling the area. She counted all the people on the street, taking into account the neighborhood. She was wondering what she would be doing. She figured whatever she was going to do, she needed to not get caught doing it. She saw a kid on the corner and hardened. "No. Go somewhere else. Whatever it is. There's a kid." She told him turning to look at him. "I'll be in your gang and i'll fuck up people who deserve it, but not a child." She murmured softly frowning.

Luna looked at him, hearing him call her cute. She smiled, "I could take you to meet your friend." She said. What the hell was she thinking? She almost regretted the words that came out of her mouth, but she didn't. He was nice enough and she had nothing better to do on his release day. Luna couldn't believe she just offered that. It had to be those damn eyes of his.

Erik laughed at her, "Calm down. I'm not having you kill anyone...yet." He said, chuckling. He looked at her, "Don't worry about the dumb kid. Go into that gas station and rob them. I want all the money out of the cash register. I will be waiting for you." He said. He seen worry fill her eyes, "Don't worry we have done this plenty of times. As long as you don't fuck up you will be fine." He said. He watched as she started to get out, "Oh, and get me a Snickers bar." He said, handing her the small pistol.

Keegan heard her and looked up not keeping the surprise from his face and said, "Is this a set up?" He asked confused. "To get me in more trouble and to get my friend?" He asked. His brow was furrowed unable to think of anything else but that. Why else would she offer to drive him. He was so confused and then thought of what Erik would say and he couldn't have it. He couldn't let anyone from the gang see her. They wouldn't think twice. They would say that she knew too much and to kill her. He frowned knowing he couldn't let that happen. "No." He murmured softly. "Thanks for the offer, but you can't." He turned his eyes on her not saying anything but hoped she would understand why. He needed her to understand that he wasn't being a dick. He didn't understand why he was trying to protect her either.

Raven heard him and said, "If that kid gets hurt, I'm going to fucking hurt you." She told him seriously. "I'm not kidding. No one should hurt a kid." She murmured before looking out the window. She heard him and said, "Fine." She sighed as she popped her neck and back before grabbing his gun and rolled her eyes hearing him. "Do I get extra points for the snickers or whatever?" She asked him closing the door. She concealed the weapon. She went into the gas station doing what she came to do. Shegot the guy to open the cash register before knocking him out and getting the money. She grabbed the snickers bar rolling her eyes. She went outside calmly having all of the stuff in a bag. She got in the car and tossed him the bag.

Luna looked at him, "Why can't I?" She asked, thinking she already knew the answer. He seemed to be wanting to protecting and she liked that part of him. At least he had some compassion which was always good. "I want to see you before you leave." She said, smiling a little. She hated to admit that she was going to miss him. A part of her had always thought about him when she left the prison.

Erik chuckled as she tossed the bag at him, "Hold that.' He said, before he took off. "Do me a favor and open that." He said, handing her the snickers bar. He took the snickers bar once she opened it and took a bite of it. Erik pulled into a place that was well hidden and leaned back against his seat. "Not bad." He said, looking at her. He took the bag from her, going through the money. "Here." He said, handing it to her. "You can keep it." He said.

Keegan heard Luna and said, "You know why." He told her before running a hand throughout his hair. He yawned softly rolling his neck around easing the tension building in his neck. He heard her and laughed, "I have two weeks. You've got plenty of time. Just tell the warden you want a final session on the day i'm supposed to leave." He shrugged. "I'm sure he won't object." He told her. He heard the guard say his time was up and raised an eyebrow and said, "I'm pretty sure they're cheating my time." He raised his eyebrows shrugging. He stood up and looked to the door before walking forwards. He glanced back and said, "See ya, Luna." He grinned before he was shoved towards his cell. He walked back.

Raven winced at her arm and muttered, "I should've just hit him with gun." She heard him and opened the snickers bar handing it back to him, smelling the peanuts. She rolled down her window letting the fresh air in. She didn't want anyone to know she was allergic to peanuts. It could be used as a weakness. She knew if he didn't eat it soon, it was going to make her skin break out into a rash. She heard him and said, "Alright." She didnt look at him but had her head out the window just breathing in slowly. She exhaled and watched the surrounding area trying to make it to where she didn't smell it. Whether she smelled it or not, she knew she'd have a rash.

Luna smiled when he said that and looked over as the guard came in. She nodded, "Bye." She said, watching him leave. She finished her day, then went home. The next day Luna sat at her desk on her computer, thinking about what she was going to talk about today. She really didn't know what she was going to talk to Keegan about. There wasn't much to him and she couldn't tell the guards what he had said about the gang. Luna frowned when she looked up and got an email saying that Keegan was in a fight in the cafeteria. Luna sighed as she leaned back against her chair. When he walked in she looked at him, "What happened?" She asked, seeing his busted lip. Apparently he did a lot worse to the other guy.

[Why am I tempted to make him eat Snickers all the time now? ]

Erik finished his snickers bar and shoved the trash in the bag. "You didn't do terrible." He teased her. Once they got back to the house he got out, walking inside with her. Erik sat down in the living room next to his friend and looked at his phone. He looked at Raven, "I hope you had fun today." He said, smiling.

Keegan was left alone in his cell. He sighed feeling the handcuffs come off and was happy about that. He looked at the ground and went to sleep. He woke up the next morning and was surprised when they took him to the cafeteria and he got some breakfast. He was in the middle of eating when someone thought it would be funny and smash his face into his food. He looked up slowly and met their eyes and stood up and said, "What the fuck do you want?" He asked. The guy laughed and said, "Look we got a tough one." He was laughing and then all of a sudden turned and punched Keegan in his face. Keegan grunted not moving and looked down seeing blood on his lip. He shook his head and said, "You aren't worth it." He turned around but the guy smacked his back with the lunch tray. Keegan turned around this time nad grabbed his face before smashing it into the table twice before grabbing his own tray and breaking it across his head. At that point the guards were scared for the other guys safety. He managed to do all of this while in hand cuffs. He let go of the other guy and just sat down. He was escorted to Luna's room and looked at her. "Guy thought it was cool of him to punch me in my face. Tried to walk away he hit me with a lunch tray. So he got a face full of table about three times before I broke a tray over his face." He told her bluntly.

(So he can find out? )

Raven sighed when he was done and the smell was gone. She let her head back in the car breatehing slowly still. She heard him and said, "My main objective was to not get caught." She shrugged. "I completed that." She chuckled. She sighed and walked inside her arm throbbing at the moment. She heard hmi and saw that he had a genuine smile on his face and laughed, "It was interesting." She walked away and went to her room before getting some aspirin. She finally relaxed when she felt the pain not hurt as much. She sat down on her bed and looked around boredly. She turned on the tv and curled up in her bed watching her show.
