Alex glared at her, "Oh yes you worked so hard as your daddy paid your tuition." He said, rolling his eyes. "Give me a break you spoiled brat." He said. He pulled away from her, hearing her last words, "He'll kill you before you get to use that option." He said before he left her room, slamming her door. He went to his bedroom and started to get ready for bed.

Makenna looked at him, "I choose not to socialize with her." She said, smiling. She didn't like talking to other people. Raine had been one of the few people she actually felt comfortable around. She closed her eyes, falling asleep in his arms as they laid there.

Claire turned around laughing hollowly. "Now who is the one assuming shit, Alex?" She asked him sadly shaking her head as she watched him slam the door. She sat back down on the floor shaking her head. She then scribbled on a piece of paper writing down, I got a 4.0 in highschool, I had a different last name from my father, so the teacher's wouldn't know who I was. I got a full ride out of highschool to the university and then worked a job to pay for my apartment. Don't tell me i'm a spoiled brat when I worked too. And then I guess he will kill me. You get what you want. She slipped the note underneath his door slamming her door again and heading into her bathroom before turning the water on. She let the water run over her wondering why she felt so bad that they had just had a fight. He didn't care about her.

Raine laughed and said, "Alright." He smiled at her and watched her sleep for awhile before falling asleep himself knowing no one was going to bang on his door the following morning. He woke in the morning to sunshine on his face and winced at his head finally feeling the pain and looked down seeing Makenna curled up against his side. He smield softly.

Alex looked at the paper, before throwing it away. He didn't feel like arguing with her for the rest of the night. He laid in his bed, falling asleep. The next morning he woke up early and went downstairs to get something to eat. He sat down with his eggs and bacon, reading over the paper.

Makenna woke up when she felt Raine moving, "What's wrong?" She muttered. She looked at him, seeing him smiling, "What?" She asked as she stretched. She liked being able to wake up to someone in the morning.

Claire relaxed in the bath before getting out and crawling into bed. She woke up in the morning missing her father and looked at her picture gently before putting it somewhere safe and looked out the window as she just laid in bed. She eventually got up and ruffled through her bag before pulling out one of her favorite novels and started to reread it, just sitting in bed as she did so.

Raine shook his head saying, "Nothing. Nothing, it's just nice to wake up to someone. Plus you're cute when you sleep." He teased smiling as he did so. He yawned before saying, "It's also nice to wake up without someone banging on my door." He laughed sitting up slowly so he didn't disturb her.

Alex finished his food, then leaned back against the stool, knowing he didn't have to do anything to do for the day. He ordered a beer, deciding to drink all day. It had been awhile since he got really drunk and he figured it was a good time to do that.

Makenna smiled when he spoke, "Yea the not waking up to people beating on the door thing is nice." She said, watching as he sat up. "Did you sleep okay?" She asked him. She knew he was probably in a lot of pain front being hit in the head.

Claire just read her book before sighing and figuring she would go out and buy a few more books. She grabbed her purse after getting dressed. She headed downstairs ignoring the stares she received. She looked over at Alex before telling him simply that she was going to a book store and then went out of the door having not paid him that much more attention since he seemed still mad at her.

Raine laughed nodding his head in agreement. "I concur." He told her. Hearing her question he said, "Yeah, woke up a couple of times and had to move my head into a more comfortable position." He explained before watching her for a moment. "I hope I didn't wake you up."

Alex watched as she walked out. He finished his beer and ordered another. He was glad he no longer had to follower her around. Alex took a swig of his beer, then ordered a thing of cheese fries. He ate one, staring at the beer in front of him.

Makenna shook her head, "No I didn't even notice." She said. She ran her fingers through her hair, "Are you hungry?" She asked. She was pretty hungry, but she knew he needed to rest. Makenna kissed his cheek, smiling.

Claire browsed through a few books before picking up one and continuing. Soon enough she looked at the three books she had bought and sighed as she walked down the street gently. She stopped feeling someone watching her, glancing behind her but kept walking until she had made it inside a public place. She went into the bathroom before climbing out the window and heading to the bar. Once there, she sighed glancing back seeing two guys following her and muttered, "Bet they're Benjamin's."

Raine laughed saying, "Good." He nodded before getting up and grabbing a shirt. "Sure am. Wanna go somewhere that isn't here?" He offered smiling at her. "And yes I will take it easy." He said seeing her look and leaned forward pressing his lips to hers.

Alex finished eating then got up, looking at his phone. He had a gut feeling that something was wrong. He noticed that Claire was taking longer than usual to get home. He called her, waiting for her to answer.

Makenna smiled, "Okay." She said, getting up. She got dressed then walked out of his room with him. She got on his bike with him, letting her arms wrap around his waist. She loved riding on his bike. She smiled as he took off.

Claire looked down at the phone that Alex had given her and sighed before answering it, "Hello?" She bit down on her lip and muttered, "So, i'm pretty sure I'm being followed and also pretty sure they are Benjamin's." She told him once he asked if she was alright. She sighed once more biting down on her lip and muttered, "Well, they're coming inside." She shuffled away from the door and closer towards more people.

Raine smiled and nodded before he got onto his bike with her and zipped off. Once they were there, he got off before taking her hand and leading her inside to a little cafe he enjoyed eating at. He walked inside instantly being greeted by the staff and he grinned waving. He was buds with the guy who ran the place.

Alex frowned, "Find a place to hide and text me your location im on my way." He said. He hung up then headed towards where she was. He walked into the building, finding Claire. "I didn't see them when I came in." He said, looking at her. "We will sneak out the back." He said.

Makenna walked in with him, sitting at the table. "You have friends?" She teased him. She looked over the menu, deciding on the pancakes. She looked at him, "What are you going to get?" She asked.

Claire frowned hearing his words and just kind of hung around some people. She looked over to see him and said, "Well, it's not a coincidence when they follow you after you've crawled through a bathroom window from another place." She pointed out before sighing and giving him a nod. "Alright." She headed with him towards the back before seeing them in the alley right in front of her and she groaned. "Boss wants to talk with you." They said to Claire. "Now be a good girl and come with us voluntarily." Claire raised an eyebrow looking at Alex, "Did they think that would actually work?" She turned back to the goons and said, "Sucks. I don't want to talk to him."

Raine laughed before saying, "Very few. He did me a favor once." He explained before looking over the menu as well and said, "Is it too early for a burger?" He grinned at her as he looked back at the menu looking up at the waitress ignoring her flirting and got a water before directing his attention to Makenna.

Alex glared at the guys, his hand on his gun. He watched them carefully, "Look she said she wasn't going." He said. He frowned when they moved towards them, pulling his gun out. He shot them, before grabbing Claire's hand. "Come on." He said running with her. They got on his bike then pulled out as he heard the sirens blare through the city. Alex pulled into an alley and sighed as he killed the motor.

Makenna smiled, "No its your body." She said, laughing softly. She ordered her pancakes, taking a sip of her water. Makenna smiled at him, "So, what will you do with your free time?" She asked. She knew he was always busy.

Claire stayed behind him not wanting to get in the way. She watched him shoot them. Before she could protest, she was pulled into running, his hand engulfing hers as they ran. She got onto the bike behind him wrapping her arms around his waist and holding on. She got off and said, "Have I mentioned my brother is an idiot?" She sighed shaking her head as she looked down the alleyway and said, "Thanks for helping, though." She looked over at him for a moment before looking away.

Raine chuckled and said, "True." He smiled back before pondering over the question. "I'm not really too sure considering I have a concussion and Im'm pretty sure i'm not even supposed to be driving right now." He told her smiling softly.

Alex looked at her, "No problem." He said. He looked around them, "We should probably get back though. We are technically in your brother's territory and that makes me fair game." He said. He let her on, then headed back to the bar. He parked his bike, getting off with her. Alex sighed as he walked inside the bar.

Makenna smiled, "Yea probably not. You wanted to though." She said, shrugging. She was glad when their food came. She began to eat, not wanting to go back home right away.

Claire nodded and muttered, "Makes us both fair game, not just you." She reminded him softly before getting back on. Getting off, she walked inside carrying her books to her chest as she sat down at the bar greeting Marge with a hello and a smiled waving off her concerned look at her bruised face knowing it was from the day before.

Raine laughed nodding. "I would let you drive, but I don't know if you can. Can you?" He asked after a moment of consideration looking back at her before looking at his food grinning and beginning to eat happily.

Alex sat down at the bar with her, getting himself a beer. He took a swig of it, looking over at Claire. "You know you should probably find places to go that aren't in your brother's territory now. You are technically his enemy now." He explained.

Makenna shook her head, "No." She said, laughing softly. "I guess this will be our only stop." She said. When they finished eating she sat there, taking a sip of her drink. She liked spending time with Raine.

Claire blinked hearing him before shaking her head, "I wasn't. I was all the way on the other side of the docks. I was by the University." She explained. Running a hand through her hair she shook her head again, "I think he sent them looking for me even if I wasn't in his territory." She frowned softly clenching her fist at her side before opening it and looking at the palm of her hand.

Raine laughed before saying, "Where do you want to go?" He questioned smiling as he looked at her, runnign a hand throughout his shaggy hair his deep brown eyes looking at her as he finished up his food.

Alex sighed, "Well then you need to stay around here until we figure things out." He said. He didn't want her to end up getting killed or someone else getting killed for being with her. Alex took a sip of his beer, watching her. Alex set his beer down, staring at it.

Makenna smiled, "Didn't you just say that you shouldn't be driving around?" She asked, laughing softly. Makenna let her hands rest on the table in front of her after the waitress took their empty plates. Makenna looked at him, "You should be resting anyway." She added.

Claire sighed softly before giving him a nod looking down at the books she had just bought. "Well, then I guess it's good I got more books." She observed before standing up after hopping off of the stool she had been sitting on turning and beginning to head upstairs not wanting to see Alex get drunk.

Raine chuckled before giving her a shrug. "Probably not, but I only agreed to behave since you're worried." He smiled before his smile faded and he murmured, "I just know you've been bored out of your mind having not been going anywhere." He told her.
