It was really meant to be a one-time thing. A chance meeting at a bar that led to a night of amazing sex. It wasn't supposed to progress any further though, but then she saw him on campus, and it certainly came as a shock to her that he was her roommate's Astronomy professor. She was almost certain that he nearly fell out of his chair when she accompanied her friend to his office on a Tuesday afternoon. She returned to his office the next day, figuring they needed to settle things right then and there. It wasn't appropriate for a professor to get romantically involved with a student, regardless of whether the student was in one of of their classes or not and regardless of whether it was a one time thing or not, but things weren't necessarily settled that day. Unless letting him take her right there on his desk counted as settling things. Things were kind of history from there on.

"You know, there's something called class and I really should be getting ready for it." Aria said with a slight laugh as she felt Sebastian's grip on her nude torso tighten. She wasn't at all surprised that this was how things were going this morning. She had lied to her parents and told them that she needed to go up to campus early because she'd applied for an RA position that year, but really she just wanted a few days with her boyfriend where they didn't really have to sneak around and could christen just about every single surface in his apartment that was only a fifteen minute drive from campus. "I heard my Astronomy professor is a hard-ass, wouldn't want to be late on the first day."
Chris was one of the few lucky individuals in modern society who loved his job. He loved the university he worked for. He loved the classes he taught, and he loved his students. He was one of the professors who, while taking his job pretty damn seriously, still liked having fun, and because he was the youngest one in the English department, he was also one of the most popular professors amongst the students. Because he loved his job so much, there was literally nothing that he would do to jeopardize his position at the university. There weren't a ton of rules that the faculty needed to follow, only the obvious ones and they all honestly really boiled down to one thing: keep it professional. And he was professional, never coming close to crossing the dangerous line between friend and professor, but also still understanding the kids and relating to them on a level that some of their other professors didn't.

Needless to say, he was eager to start another new school year. Although the first day was equally as nerve-wracking for the instructors as it was the students, he was up before his alarm, and two cups of coffee in long before he needed to head to campus. And when he finally did head to campus for his first class of the day, he was still rather early and took to his office to go over a few last minute things on the syllabi he had altered from the previous semester to fit the new semester.

Sophia tried to calm her nerves as she walked down the hallway of the English department. She was holding two cups of coffee and had a bunch of creamer and sugars in her pockets. Once she found the office she was looking for, she took a breath before knocking and stepping in slightly, "Uhh hi. I'm Sophia Reid. Your TA." She explained she she gave him a small smile. Sophia had taken Professor Evans's class last year before deciding she wanted to TA in the same class this year, "I brought you a coffee. I didn't know how you took it so I brought you a bunch of sugars and creamers." She explained.

God why are you so awkward? Sophia's brain screamed at her. She hated that she was being awkward around him so much. She had no problem speaking to him about things last year, though most of their conversations were conducted by email. So what if he was really good looking? Like really, really good looking. He was just another guy. That she was going to be working with all semester. Kill me.

    ---

Sebastian groaned at Aria's words and shook his head as he tightened his grip on her, "Really? I heard a lot of people think he's super hot." Sebastian replied and grinned at her. What happened with Aria was never supposed to last. He wasn't supposed to develop feelings for her. He wasn't supposed see her again. She was a student and he was a professor, they weren't supposed to be together in any other way than professional. He knew the the rules were really strict at the university about how professors were supposed to act around their students, "Just five more minutes." He mumbled into her skin and placed soft kisses.

Sebastian knew that they would have to get up eventually, but he didn't want to think about it. He didn't have any classes over the summer that he taught, so he had spent a lot of time with Aria when he got the chance. He wanted to be able to spend as much time with her as he could, "I won't tell if you're late if you don't tell that I'm late." He joked as he sighed. Going to the university meant pretending that Aria was just another one of his students even though she was far from that.

(This is short and shitty I'm sorry. I'm super tired.)

Aria hummed softly, closing her eyes as she felt his lips on her neck and bare shoulders. "I don't know, I heard he doesn't even have a chili pepper next to his name on ratemyprofessor." She said, a faint smirk tugging at the corners of her lips. She'd gotten so used to waking up with him like this over the summer. It was easy enough for her to visit him on a somewhat frequent basis because she did have friends who lived super close to the campus, so her parents didn't really question her fairly frequent visits back near school. Her parents didn't really question her much at all, to be honest. They were both kind of workaholics, and they weren't home all that much to see that their daughter wasn't home anyway.

She giggled when he mumbled about wanting five more minutes and that he wouldn't tell anyone about her being late if she did him the same courtesy. "Hmmmm...I think I might need a little more convincing to stay here...five minutes is a pretty long time and I do have a reputation to uphold at school." She was only teasing of course. If she had the choice, neither of them would be leaving this bed at all today, but she had an obligation as a student and he as a professor, so she knew that they couldn't do that as tempting as lazy morning sex was.
Chris realized rather quickly that he probably shouldn't have gone up to campus as early as he had. There were only so many times that he could look over his different syllabi before he started going cross-eyed and, while he was a firm believer in checking over ones writing before submitting it in any capacity, he was certain that he'd caught all the grammatical errors and spelling mistakes that he could have. With that being said, he posted the syllabus for each of his classes up on Canvas and sent out an email to the students in each course asking that they either bring an electronic or printed copy with them on the first day. He'd probably run off a few copies just in case, but he knew that most of them would have laptops or tablets or phones with them in class, so if they didn't see his email then they could pull it up on an electronic device easily. He was a firm believer in being over-prepared though, so he'd run off those few printed copies just before his first class.

He had just hit send on an email to one of his colleagues in the English department, when he heard a knock on his door. Looking away from his computer screen, he saw a pretty brunette standing there with what looked to be two coffees in hand. Before he could ask if he could help her with something, she was introducing herself, and when she said her name, it all clicked into place. They had spoken briefly over the summer through email when he learned that she was going to be his TA this semester. "Ah, it's nice to finally put a face to the name." He said, sending a smile her way as he stood and held his hand out to shake hers. "And thank you for the coffee, ,though you didn't have to do that at all, it is greatly appreciated."

Sophia smiled at his words before she shifted the coffees in her hands to shake his. Once she pulled away, she handed him the coffee she deemed as his, "I would have been in earlier to help with anything you might need, but my dog decided not to listen this morning." She explained with a small sigh. Though, of course, it wasn't Zeus's fault, he was only four months old after all, but it did kind of set her back for the day, "Zeus is a sweet dog, he really is, but he was not happy about the fact that I was leaving this morning because I didn't give him his full two hours of play time." She continued explaining. Oh my god, Sophia, he doesn't care, just shut up and stop being awkward!

"I'm really looking forward to this semester being your TA. I took your class last year, and I think it was probably my favorite class of the whole year." She admitted. It was true after all. Professor Evans was definitely her favorite professor she had taken in her entire college career. He just was able to relate to the students more than most of the other professors, probably because of how young he was, and he just made his classes fun.

    ---

Sebastian gasped at her words, "What do you mean I don't have a chili pepper next to my name?!" He questioned as he sat up quickly. He made sure he faked his surprised, though if he was being honest, he had already looked a few weeks before the semester was set to begin to check to see. When she spoke about needing more convincing, he grinned slightly before he leaned over, pulling her close as he kissed her deeply on the lips. Sebastian knew that they would have to get up and leave soon, but he was willing to spend a couple more minutes just being close to her.

After a moment, he pulled away and sighed at the time, "We should probably get ready and go. I'm going to grab a quick shower." He stated before getting up and heading into the bathroom attached to his bedroom. He quickly hopped in the shower and made sure he looked okay once he was out. It was the first day of classes, and his first impression was more important than ever. He picked out a quick good first day outfit before he looked over at Aria, "Promise not to spread gossip about me to the students in the class?" He teased with a smile before he pulled her close once more and gave her a quick kiss, "You being in my first class of the day on Monday's is going to brighten every Monday this entire semester." He said with a smile before kissing her once more.

Aria laughed at his words and feigned surprise. Before she could say anything of it, he was pressing his lips to hers and kissing her deeply. Smiling against his lips, she pressed her body closer to his and wrapped a hand around his neck, running her fingers lightly through his hair. She would be perfectly content remaining in bed with her boyfriend for the rest of the day, though she knew that wasn't something that they could do. They both had obligations, she as a student and he as a professor.

"Hmmm...I've been saying that for what? The last fifteen minutes?" She teased lightly when he said that they should probably get ready to go. She had thought ahead and brought a change of clothes with her, knowing that she wasn't going to have time to stop at her apartment before she headed to class. She got dressed quickly, decided to throw her hair up into a messy bun, because sex hair was a real thing this morning, and applied a minimal amount of makeup before deciding that she looked as presentable as she was going to be. "Tell the students that you're literally the worst person ever? Okay." She grinned and kissed him back softly. "Keep sweet talking me, and we're not going to even make it to class today."
Chris chuckled when she told him that she would have been there earlier if it wasn't for her dog and shook his head. "It's quite alright. I understand completely." He loved animals, dogs especially, but they really did have their moments where they just didn't listen. He knew from personal experience as he had a dog of his own, and had grown up with dogs his entire life back home in Boston. "The nerve of you, cutting back on play time like that." He chuckled once more and sipped his coffee. "How old is he?" He asked, really not minding the conversation about her dog at all. They had time until class anyway as they'd both gotten there fairly early.

He smiled when she told him that she was looking forward to being his TA that semester. "If you're back for more then I must have done something right." He laughed. "But now that you mention it, you do look familiar." He'd taken on a greater course load last year, so he had way more students than normal which had honestly sucked because he hadn't gotten to know his students as well as he would have liked to.

Sophia laughed at his words about cutting back play time, "Listen, I had to make a good first impression on my first day as a TA. Zeus is just gonna have to understand." She joked, "He's four months. My family dog, Duke, was a German Shepherd too, and he died last year during finals week. I really needed another Shepherd in my life, so once I felt like I had enough time between the two dogs, I dished out the money, and I got Zeus." She explained. At first she wasn't sure how her first encounter was going to go with Professor Evans, but she could already tell he was going to be someone she enjoyed working with.

Sophia nodded at his words, "At lot of students think the same way I do about you. I've heard nothing but good things about the classes you teach, and I now have experience in the matter to agree with those statements." She replied. When he said she looked familiar, she smiled lightly, "I was one of those students that paid attention to everything going on in the class, but I never really said anything." She said.

    ---

Sebastian groaned at her words before shaking his head at her words, "Doesn't matter because I'm saying it right now." He replied and stuck his tongue out at her with a laugh. When she said to tell his other students he's the worst, he nodded, "Yup because that's exactly what I said." He teased and shook his head. Sebastian liked that he had someone he could just be himself around, and he didn't have to worry about what she thought of him. He knew that she would tease him and say he was a child, but he didn't care because it made her smile, and that's all that Sebastian really cared about.

Sebastian rolled his eyes at her words before pulling away, "I'm always going to sweet talk you, doll." He replied with a grin. He planted one more kiss on her lips before he put his jacket on and started to walk towards the living room and front door, "Ride with me. We can get breakfast on the way." He stated as he picked up his car keys and looked over at Aria with a smile. Sebastian knew there was a chance of them being seen, but he had been doing this with her long enough to know his way around campus so they weren't seen together.

"Remind me again how you're older than me?" Aria teased lightly, letting out a quiet laugh when her boyfriend stuck his tongue out at her. He really didn't act his age sometimes, and she really loved to tease him about it. Quite honestly though, she didn't have a problem with his childish antics most of the time. Sometimes, they did bother her, and she just wanted him to act serious, but most of the time she didn't have a problem with it because he knew when to be serious. "I don't want to lie to your students, babe. They should know that you're the absolute worst professor on campus." She, of course, was still teasing him.

She kissed him back when he pressed one last kiss to her lips before moving to slip her jacket on as well. "Normally I would tell you it's too risky, but I don't want to share you with anyone else just yet." She smiled. They had figured out ways to sneak around campus and see each other without anyone else seeing them together, but that didn't mean that she didn't still worry in more public settings. The last thing she wanted was for Sebastian to lose his job because he was with her or something.
A chuckle rumbled in his chest at her words. "Of course, Zeus should understand that you don't want to leave a bad first impression with me." Chris said, already thinking that he was going to enjoy having Sophia as his TA. She seemed dedicated and willing to work, but she was also funny, and clearly loved animals. Plus, she'd already take one of his classes, so she knew what he expected of his students. "I'm sorry to hear about your family dog, losing a pet is never easy." He knew from personal experience just how hard losing a pet could be. They became like another member of the family, and it just felt weird no longer having them around all of a sudden.

He smiled at her later words, knowing that he was rather popular with many of the students on campus because his classes filled up rather quickly each semester, but liking to hear it firsthand from one of his former students anyway. "Well, I wouldn't be half the professor that I am without the incredible students that I've had over the years." He said rather humbly. "And there's nothing wrong with being one of those students. I know some professors penalize their students if they don't verbally participate in class, but I'm not like that."

Sophia nodded, "Exactly. I tried to explain it to him, but he just wouldn't listen." She replied with a small laugh. She could clearly tell he was a dog lover. When he spoke about losing a pet, she could tell he had experience in the matter, "Thanks. It was harder seeing that I was here. My parents didn't even tell me until I came home the week after. They didn't want to distract me from my finals." She explained. It was rough, but she managed to get through it. Her parents let her keep Duke's collar, so she had that as a reminder.

When he spoke about his students and told her there was nothing wrong with not verbally participating in class, "Well thanks." She replied. When Sophia had woken up this morning, she was beyond nervous about her first day with Professor Evans, but it was turning out to be easier than she thought. He was very easy for her to get along with, and that made her happy because she knew she would be able to work well with him if they got along. She knew how he was as a professor, and now she was learning how he was as just a normal guy.

    ---

Sebastian smiled widely at her words before he took her hand and grabbed his keys, walking out to his car, "You want Dunkin'?" He questioned, "Or are we feeling Starbucks this morning?" He added. Sebastian knew that both were on their way to campus and he was more than willing to take her to either place or anywhere she wanted to go for breakfast. It was more time that Sebastian would get to spend with her, and he was in agreement with her that he didn't want to share her with anyone either just yet.

Sebastian started his car and started off toward campus, knowing that he would make a detour anywhere he needed. It was okay if he was late on the first day because it was the first day, and he was able to do whatever he chose because he was the professor. Sebastian was anxious about his first day back to the teaching. It wasn't that he was nervous, but a new year and new classes always made him anxious. He never knew how classes were actually going to turn out. He never knew how kids were going to react to his teaching, and if they were actually going to enjoy his class. This happened every year, and you would think he would be used to it by now. Nope. Not even close.

"I'm feeling Dunkin' this morning." Aria said with a smile as they walked out to the car. It was going to be weird not getting to spend as much time with him now, but they'd made due last year and she knew that they would this year too. She'd gotten used to not sneaking around as much, so she knew that part was going to suck, but it would be worth it, because she really did love her boyfriend, and she knew that it was against the rules and them being together could result in her getting expelled and him losing his job, but it was worth it and they hadn't gotten caught yet and didn't think that they would so long as they continued to be careful about everything.

"I'm excited to see you in action." She said. This was her first time taking one of his classes, and she couldn't wait to see him doing his thing. He was so smart, and she knew that he had a passion for sciency stuff and more specifically anything to do with space and the stars, so she couldn't wait to see him up there lecturing about the planets and other stuff of the like. She knew that he was going to be brilliant because, well, he was brilliant.
Chris let out a soft chuckle. "It happens to the best of dogs. It's our fault for being such good owners, really. They wouldn't care so much about us leaving if they didn't love us as much as they did." He said, letting out another laugh. He could tell that he was going to enjoy having her as his TA. They already seemed to get along really well, and he couldn't think of anything she had done as his student that had been bad. Plus, she wouldn't have gotten the TA position if she wasn't intelligent and if her academic performance wasn't impressive. "That must have been rough. Losing a pet is never easy, but it's even harder when you aren't home when it happens."

He smiled at her later words and nodded. "No problem." He said. "I like to consider as much as I can when it comes to my students. I know from personal experience, that I didn't always feel comfortable participating in classes verbally." He suffered from social anxiety when he was younger, and it still reared it's ugly head every so often, and he was able to handle things better now than he used to, but he did like to keep in mind that some people had their reasons for not verbally participating in class.

Sophia laughed at his words before nodding, "Exactly. I'm just such a good owner Zeus couldn't bare to see me leave." She joked, "It's my fault, really. I didn't go a lot of places this summer that I didn't take him with. By the time he was two months old he had already been home to Boston with me, and then also got to see parts of New York. If dogs were allowed, Zeus came with me. He's probably offended that I didn't bring him with me today." She explained with a laugh.

Sophia was thankful that he understood, "Yeah, I've got some pretty bad anxiety when it comes to speaking in front of other people. I've been working on it, and this TA job is actually me setting myself apart from the anxiety, and proving to myself that I can speak in front of others." She explained. Sophia could already tell that her and Chris were a lot alike in many ways, and that made her all the more excited to work with him this semester, "I have a question for you." She stated, "What do you want me to call you? Because I know last year, if I ever referred to you in conversation, I said Professor Evans, but I didn't know if you would still want me to call you that as your TA." She rambled.

    ---

Sebastian grinned at her words and nodded, "Dunkin' it is." He stated as he drove his car in the direction of the Dunkin' Donuts on their way to campus. Sebastian wanted to be selfish and drive slow so he could spend more time with Aria, but knew that he would make them both late if that were to happen, and then it would be as obvious as ever of their relationship if they showed up late at the same exact time. Sebastian smiled at her words and nodded, "I hope I'm as good of a professor as I keep hearing that I am." He replied.

Sebastian pulled up at the drive through, ordering what he already knew that Aria would want and gave his order as well. It was safe to say they had been there a couple times before, and Sebastian now knew Aria's usual and was able to always get it before she told him what she wanted. Once he paid and pulled to the next window, he handed Aria her coffee and breakfast food before pulling away toward campus. It was all too soon that they arrived, and Sebastian made sure to take the alleyways that he knew nobody walked down. He stopped near the building that his class was in, "I'll see you in class." He stated before he leaned over and kissed her lips with a smile.

Aria couldn't help smiling at the fact that Sebastian seemed to know her order perfectly. Of course, this wasn't the first time that they had gotten coffee before class, but it was little things that he did like that that made her realize just how lucky she was to have someone like him. Sure, some might say that she was only in it for the sex, and she wasn't going to lie and say that the sex wasn't great and that wasn't truthfully how things had started between them, but that definitely wasn't the only reason she was with him now. Her boyfriend was one of the most kindhearted people that she knew, not to mention insanely intelligent, thoughtful, generous and so much more.

"Thanks, babe." She said when he handed her coffee and breakfast sandwich to her. "I'm sure you will be, and honestly fuck anyone who says that you aren't anyway. You're one of the most intelligent people that I know, Seb, and you're so passionate about what you teach. I could honestly listen to you ramble on about the stars and the planets and space for days." She told him with a smile. Unfortunately, they arrived at the campus shortly after that. She was glad that they took the alleyways and paths that were least traveled towards the building, enjoying those last few moments between herself and her boyfriend as just a normal couple. "Okay." She smiled, kissing him back softly before she pulled away and headed in the opposite direction, figuring she'd take a slightly different route and enter the building at one of the other entrances as not to raise any suspicions.
Chris perked up a bit at the mention of Boston. He thought he'd detected a slight Bostonian accent in her voice, and now he had the confirmation that he needed. "Oh yeah, he's probably beyond offended. Honestly, how dare you leave him home alone." He teased, a small grin on his face as he took another sip of his coffee. "Did you say you were from Boston? I knew I detected an accent in your voice! I grew up there." He told her. It was always nice meeting someone from back home, made being away from it a little bit easier on him. He always made time to go home and see his family, but that didn't make being away from them any easier on him.

"I think that's really admirable of you. So many people let their anxiety prevent them from doing certain things. I know that I did, and hell, I honestly still do sometimes, so if you ever feel like you need a break from it for whatever reason, just let me know, alright?" They had way more in common than he ever imagined that they would. It was nice knowing that they'd have a lot to talk about this semester. "And there's no need to call me Professor Evans. If we're working together this semester, you're welcome to call me Chris."

Sophia grinned at his words, "You better remember that the day I bring him in and you get no work done because of his cuteness." She teased. When he asked if she was from Boston, she nodded, "Born and raised in Back Bay." She replied. When he mentioned her accent, she smiled slightly and nodded, "I've been trying to get rid of it for a while, but when I drink, and when I'm back home, it's in full swing. I'm sure you're gonna hear it a lot when I'm around you since you're from the area." She explained with a laugh.

Sophia couldn't help but feel a sense of happiness wash over her at Chris's words before she nodded, "I'll definitely make sure to let you know." She replied. When he said she could call him Chris, she nodded once more, "Chris it is then." She stated. Sophia could already tell this was going to be a good semester and was glad that she and Chris already had so much in common.

    ---

Sebastian couldn't help but grin at her words. He was glad to see that his rambling about space and the stars didn't annoy her as it would other people. He was so beyond lucky to have someone like Aria in his life who was so supportive of what he was passionate about. He knew most people thought that it was odd he wanted to teach other people about space instead of working for a place where he could learn more about his interests.

Sebastian made sure to walk a little bit slower and go the main route so he and Aria wouldn't show up at the same time. As he walked through the door, he noticed a good bit of the class was already there. Sebastian quickly set down his coffee at the podium before he started to set up his lecture slides. It was the first day, so most of his job was to go over the syllabus, and depending on how he was feeling maybe go into a bit of teaching. Though, Sebastian knew that he would probably call quits early so the students could go about doing whatever. It was the first day after all, nobody wanted to actually learn on the first day back.

Aria really could listen to Sebastian talk about space and the stars for hours at a time. There was a spark in his eyes, like a child on Christmas morning, and it was clear just how passionate he was about what he taught each semester. She was certain that passion translated in a classroom setting as well, so she knew that she'd enjoy at least one of her classes this semester for the sheer fact that she'd get to listen to her boyfriend talk about some of his greatest passions.

When she arrived at the room, she noticed Sebastian was already there at the podium, clearly setting up his lecture slides for class. Once she sat down, she took out her phone and sent him a quick text, being sure that there weren't any prying eyes glancing at her screen as she did so. She didn't know if anyone would make the connection if they saw the name Sebastian in her phone, but it wasn't exactly the most common name so she knew it was possible. You're going to do great today! She added a few emojis at the end of her text before setting her phone down on her desk and taking out a pen and notebook just in case. Something told her Sebastian wasn't going to really go over much that day, probably just the syllabus and a few introductory things, and that was it but she was prepared either way.
Chris chuckled at her words. "If that's the reason I don't get any work done, I won't complain." He told her. He could think of other distractions he wouldn't mind having either, but he pushed the thoughts to the back of his head almost immediately. He had noticed how undeniably beautiful Sophia was, but he knew that his thoughts were unprofessional. It was frowned upon for students to have relationships with their professors, and he was certain that held true for professors and their TAs as well. He told himself that the relationship he'd have with Sophia would remain professional and that he wouldn't act on the thoughts he'd just had moments before.

"No fucking way, that's so funny." He said, hoping she wouldn't find his language offensive. He'd cursed in class before, and he knew very few students who found it offensive, but he wanted to tread carefully around someone he'd be working closely with all semester. "It never goes away fully, trust me on that." He chuckled once more. "Just when you think it's gone, it comes right back."

Sophia laughed lightly at his words before she shrugged, "Alright then. Just let me know the day and I'll bring him in." She replied with a smile. Sophia was more than willing to bring in Zeus to meet Chris. Zeus loved meeting new people, and Chris was a dog lover, so he knew that it would be a perfect match. She laughed once more when he mentioned how the accent never goes away, "Oh I know that's definitely true. My brother, Jackson has been out of the area for almost ten years, and he still has his accent. It's some crazy shit."

    ---

Sebastian felt his phone vibrate before he looked down, smiling slightly before he sent a quick text back to Aria, Thanks babe. He sent a kissy face emoji with his reply before he saw the majority of his students were there and it was time to begin. He clapped his hands together once before rubbing them quickly, "Alright! Let's get this started and over with because I know none of you really want to be here the full time on syllabus day." He stated before he clicked next on the slide, "Now as you can all surely read. I am Professor Stan. I have no objections to you calling me that, but if you'd like you can call my Sebastian. My office hours are listed on there, I have drop in hours on Tuesday afternoons, otherwise make and appointment."

Aria smiled down at her phone when she saw the text from her boyfriend light up her screen. She swiped across her screen to reply and sent a few purple heart emojis before pressing the lock button once more and focusing her attention to the front of the room as Sebastian started the class. She listened as he introduced himself, unable to help letting her mind wander a bit as she knew where she'd likely be on Tuesday afternoons. She knew that no appointment would be necessary for her, but the thrill of showing up at his office on Tuesday afternoons and the chance that another student might show up at any time was enough to cause her to squeeze her thighs together. This semester was certainly going to be a fun one and she knew it.
Chris smiled. "Honestly, you can bring him in whenever you want. I have no objections to having a dog in my office at all." He said as he sipped his coffee. He was thankful that she had brought him one, because it had saved him taking the trip to the cafe on campus to grab one before class. "You can take anybody out of Boston, but you can't take the Boston outta them." He chuckled once more before noting the time. "Wow, is it that time already? Looks like we should be headed to the classroom soon. First class of the semester, I can't believe it."

Sophia grinned at his words and nodded. She was sure that Zeus would be thrilled to meet another person and get to know a new place. He was an adventure dog that was for damn sure. She nodded and took her coffee in hand as she followed him out of his office, "It feels like just yesterday was the first day of summer break. Hard to believe I only have a year left." She stated. It was hard for Sophia to believe that she was finally a senior in college. It took her long enough to get here, but she was thankful and glad that she finally made it. Her ma continued to hound her about continuing for her masters degree, and Sophia was going to get it, but she wanted to take a year off first after she graduated. It wasn't the best move in the eyes of her parents, but Sophia wanted to travel around the world, at least for the better part of a year.

Sebastian continued to go through the syllabus for the semester. His expectations of the class, cellphone policy, what his exams were like, the whole nine yards. He was really looking forward to this semester, not just because he got to see Aria at least three times a week, but because he loved teaching people about his passion. Sebastian really couldn't see himself doing any other job if he was to be honest. People often asked him how he was able to tolerate being a professor, after all the years of school he went through in order to finally be free, and he just jumped right back into schooling. It was quite ironic sometimes to Sebastian when he thought about it because while in school, he didn't care a lot about his grades and such. Mainly focused on sciences and astronomy, but not much of anything else. He didn't pay much attention during his classes, but he still managed to pass his way through all four years of high school and all of his years at college.

Aria was glad that she'd get to Sebastian at least three times a week. She knew that they would sneak around so that they could see more of each other than that, and without the prying eyes of other students. She listened as her boyfriend continued to go through the syllabus, making note of due dates and exam dates. Sebastian might be teaching the class, but that didn't mean she wasn't going to try her best and work hard to do well in his class. She'd already told him that he needed to treat her like any other student assignment-wise, and that she wasn't banking on an A in the class simply because she was sleeping with the professor.
"I feel like summer break goes by faster and faster every year." Chris said. He couldn't believe it was the start of the fall semester already, and that he'd already been teaching for five years at the university. "They say that time passes by more quickly the older you get, and as depressing as it sounds, it definitely feels that way. You're a senior right?" He assumed that she was considering she was TAing for him. Most students who were TAs were in their last year of school, though there had been a few instances in which juniors had been TAs as well. It wasn't very common though.

Sophia nodded at his question, "Yeah I'm a senior. I definitely agree with that statement too. I feel like I shouldn't be a senior if I'm being honest. I feel like I just started here." She replied. When they reached the classroom, Sophia took a breath before smiling and opening the door for Chris before walking in after him. There were probably close to a hundred students in this class, which wasn't nearly as bad as it could be, but it still made her nervous because she wasn't on the other side of things this time, she was the one helping teach.

    ---

Sebastian finished going over the syllabus rather quicker than he expected, but he gave a smile out to his class, "Alright I'm not going to start any notes today. Get out of her, and be prepared on Wednesday to talk about the first chapter." He stated before he started to pack up his things, making sure to turn off the projector and computer. He watched as the students started to file out of the door, some saying they would see him on Wednesday, but most just having conversations with their friends in the class or sticking their noses in their phones as they walked.

Aria took her time packing up her things, and waited for most of the class to leave before she stood up and started towards the front of the room. "I don't know, I think the people on ratemyprofessor were wrong. I think the professor definitely deserved a chili pepper next to his name." She teased lightly, obviously once everyone was out of the classroom. "And he's pretty chill considering he didn't start teaching on the first day of class. I have a whole three hours until my next class now...I wonder what I should do with all of that time..."
"That's how it usually goes, but trust me on this. Once you're out of college, time flies by even faster than it did during college. Honestly, the last year was kind of a blur for me." Chris didn't know why time seemed to pass by more quickly as he got older, but it did. It made him really appreciate each and every single day that he had and make the best of even the shittiest of situations. He smiled when she opened the door to the classroom, and walked inside, making his way to the front of the room and setting his things down on the podium.
