Jimin laughed as he watched as Taehyung chased Jungkook around. They were complete idiots sometimes but he adored them. He adored the whole group really, he couldn’t imagine being apart of something else. He took a sip of his water, looking around. There was supposed to be a couple of other groups performing as well tonight for New Year’s Eve, all of which he was pretty familiar with except one. There was one particular group that he’d never really heard of before and he was actually excited to see them perform. Jimin always loved hearing and see new musical talent that gets formed. He always hoped for the best that they would be able to make it big. Most Koop groups don’t get the fame they deserve and it really saddened him.

Olivia sighed heavily as she followed her friend’s wherever they wanted to go to wait for the show to start. She was only here because of them, she didn’t really have much knowledge of Kpop groups or what they were. She did know a little bit about BTS, but that was only because her best friend was a huge fan and they were all she talked about. Honestly she only tagged along because she didn’t want to be alone again on New Years. Olivia took a sip of her drink as she looked around, scanning the crowed. “I got us backstage passes!” Alice yelled, waving the passes in front of Olivia’s face. Olivia nodded and pretended to be excited the best she could, taking the pass from her overly excited friend. Olivia didn’t care much for backstage passes, especially if the band or musician she was seeing was rude as hell. She didn’t know anything about these so called idols and she probably never would.

Yoona sighed softly as she watched the members of her group practicing last minute. It was one of their first shows since their debut, and it was a big deal, so everyone wanted to be perfect. She’d just finished getting her hair and makeup done, though, so she didn’t want to start sweating before it was time to go on stage. She decided to go grab some water, knowing it was very important to stay hydrated on days like this. She slipped out of her group’s dressing room, walking down the hall to where the little snack table was set up. She grabbed a water bottle from it, gasping in surprise when someone ran into her. She turned quickly to see Jungkook and Taehyung from BTS running around, figuring the younger of the two was the one that had bumped into her from the look on his face. The boy looked like he’d seen a ghost; all pale in the face, his lips parted and his eyes wide.

“Ah, sorry,” Taehyung said, smiling his little boxy grin at her. “We’ll be more careful next time.” He grabbed Jungkook by the wrist and dragged him away, scolding him about watching where he was going. He decided it was probably time to end their little games since more people were moving around and doing more things now, and he didn’t want to run into anyone else. It was almost time for the first group to go on anyways. He sat down on one of the couches beside Jungkook, playing with his phone. He took a selfie and posted it to Twitter, announcing that it was almost showtime. He knew the fans enjoyed seeing their updates, and he loved taking pictures and selfies, so he always tried to when he had the opportunity. He couldn’t post too much, though, because he had to give the other members a chance to post, and Namjoon and Jimin liked to post a lot as well.

Jimin sighed as he got up, walking over to the mirror and checking his appearance. He fixed his hair in some places before giving himself a small nod of approval. He looked great today. Jimin raised a brow as he saw Tae and Jungkook walking back like they were in trouble. “Why do you two always look like you’re guilty,” he said with a small shake of his head. He made his way over to where they held the refreshments, scanning the table for anything good. He spotted an Apple and immediately snatched it up, rubbing it off before taking a big bite. Jimin grinned at how great it tasted. He knew he probably shouldn’t be eating but he definitely needed a little bit of fuel before the show. As he turned around he almost collided with a woman, his eyes widening. “Woah there,” he said, backing up a bit. “I didn’t notice you there, I totally almost ran into you,” he said with a small nervous chuckle. This woman was gorgeous, he wondered what group she belonged to? If any at all. “Uh, I’m Jimin, it’s nice to meet you. Are you apart of that new girl group that’s supposed to perform tonight?” He asked her with a tilt of his head. If she wasn’t he’d most definitely be embarassed.

Olivia groaned as she stomped her feet, getting bored and impatient. She just wanted the show to start already. “Come on, it’s about to start! Let’s push our way to the front,” Alice yelled, grabbing Olivia by the wrist and pulling her up to the front row. She bit down hard on her bottom lip and grunted as she collided with the stage. She furrowed her brow and looked around at her surroundings. This was definitely different than most concerts she’d been to. Usually you couldn’t even get this close to the stage or the ones performing. Olivia grinned as the lights dimmed a bit and the group that was performing walked on stage. She already knew that it wasn’t BTS, simply because this group was female. “This is so amazing!” Alice squealed, making Olivia laugh. It was pretty neat, that was for sure. Olivia was mesmerized by the adorable outfits of these women on stage and how adorable they were. They were everything she could ever want to be. “Their outfits are so cute,” she told Alice, biting her lower lip. Of course her best friend agreed with her, as she usually does without even looking or knowing what she was talking about.

Yoona looked up, smiling kindly when she saw Jimin from BTS. “Yes,” VS1,” she murmured. “I’m Yoona.” She bowed quickly to show respect before she took a sip of water. She looked back up at him, biting her lip gently. He was so handsome, and she had no idea what else to say to him. She wasn’t usually one to be tongue-tied, but right now, she was. She opened her mouth to speak when she heard her unnie, Jiyeon, calling her name. She glanced over her shoulder and then looked back at Jimin. “I have to go. It was nice to meet you.” She bowed quickly before she turned and rushed back to the dressing room she shared with her bandmates. They were getting their mics ready to go on, and her heart was pounding in her chest. She was a bit nervous, since this was such a big opportunity for them, and she didn’t want to mess it up. She could do the dance in her sleep, so she was mostly concerned about making sure her vocals were on point. After the first group had finished, it was turn for her group to go on. She took a deep breath and adjusted her mic before she followed the girls out onto the stage. They got into position and started their first song.

Taehyung stood up and walked over to Jimin, raising his eyebrows. “Did you make a new friend?” he teased, grinning at him. He always loved to tease his best friend about the girls he talked to, because he knew Jimin could get shy. It was adorable to see the older boy blush and turn away in situations like these. “She’s pretty.” He led Jimin over to the side of the stage so they could watch the group do their performance. They were pretty good for rookies. He liked the sound of their music. He turned and looked out at the crowd while still trying to stay hidden, amazed at all the people that had come. Even with all the shows they’ve done over the years, it still amazed him that so many people showed up to see them perform. It warmed his heart, to know so many people liked them and their music. He really cared about the fans; he wished he could meet every single one of them.

Jimin frowned as he watched Yoona walk away, cursing himself. He was positive he did something to mess that conversation up. He furrowed his brow and racked his brain as he replayed the conversation in his head. He was never the best when it came to talking to girls despite what some people may thing. They made him more nervous than an earthquake. Especially really pretty ones like Yoona. As Jimin approached his band mates, he looked over at Taehyung when he spoke. Jimin’s face turned blood red and he tried to laugh it off, giving his band mate a small shove. “She is pretty, isn’t she?” He murmured, biting his lower lip as he watched her perform. The group on stage was actually performing really well for rookies, he was definitely impressed. Jimin followed Tae’s gaze out into the crowed, his eyes widening. “You know, I don’t think I’ll ever get over how many people there are in the crowd,” he said with a small shake of his head. “What are you guys doing?” Namjoon said as he approached them. Jimin just pointed at the obvious, which was that they were watching the rookies perform.

Olivia was mesmerized by the group on stage, loving the way they danced and sung. She definitely was becoming a new fan of theirs. She laughed and danced with her friends, or at least she danced the best she could. There was hardly any room to move for the most part. Olivia looked over to the corner of the stage, her eyes widening when she spotted familiar faces. “Look!” She yelled to Alice, pointing over to where three members of BTS stood. “They’re watching you,” she teased, laughing as her friend shoved her. “When do we get to use these passes?” She asked with a huff, really wanting to go backstage. What’s the point in having them if you can’t use them? “After BTS comes on we can go!” Alice told her. Olivia nodded and took a sip of her drink, just enjoying the music. As much fun as it was out here, she much rather be back there where all the action was.

Yoona put forth her best effort, wanting to show that their group was just as good as established ones. They planned on sticking around for a while. Once they got into their second song, she let go a little bit, just trying to enjoy the song for what it was. She saw a few girls in the front pointing off to the side of the stage and she quickly glanced over her shoulder at the side of the stage, seeing a few boys from BTS standing there, watching them. She turned her head quickly away to hide her blush, hoping they hadn’t caught her looking back at them, especially Jimin. That would be embarrassing. She’d been following BTS since their debut, and she’d fallen in love with their music and their dances. It was what inspired her to audition to be an idol, and she was surprised when she found out she’d been accepted. She wasn’t a trainee for very long, but she just hoped that meant they thought she was good enough to be in a group already.

Taehyung chuckled. “Jimin likes that one,” he said, pointing towards Yoona. “I think he may have found himself a new girlfriend, hyung.” He grinned at Namjoon before looking down at Jimin, knowing he was probably starting to really annoy him. Before Jimin could even say anything, Tae fled the scene, going to get his mic set up since they’d be going on in just a few minutes. His heart was racing with excitement. He didn’t think he’d ever get tired of performing for the fans. Sure, being an idol could be very tiring at times, but seeing the joy on people’s faces as they danced and sang along was enough to keep him going. He adjusted his mic into the right position before he began to jump around and swing punches, to keep himself energized and pumped for the show.

Jimin glared at Taehyung, shaking his head. Jimin honestly hated being teased about a girl he found attractive. Besides, it wasn’t like he could date anyone anyways, especially another idol. The industry just didn’t allow that. Jimin sighed heavily and shook his head, taking another sip of his water before turning around. He raised an eyebrow at Tae, watching him jump around like a crazy person. “I don’t know why you do that, you have enough energy already,” he said with a laugh. Jimin looked over and saw the girls getting off stage, his face turning a light shade of pink. He really wanted to go congratulate them and tell them how great they were out there but he wasn’t sure if he should. Right when Jimin mustered up the courage to even walk towards them, they were being called to stage. He cursed himself, shaking his head and walking to where he needed to be. He jumped up and down, shaking himself out and preparing. No matter how many times they did this he would always get nervous.

Olivia kept staring at the side of the stage, watching the boys from BTS. They were all rather attractive but one in particular really stood out to her. It was Taehyung, or better known as V. She would do anything to get up close to him and talk to him. Hopefully she’d be able to once they went backstage. Before she knew it the other group was leaving the stage and BTS was coming on. Olivia squealed and jumped up and down with her friends, putting her hands in the air and reaching out like every fan girl in the place. What that actually did she’d never know, it wasn’t like they actually touched you half the time anyways. She never understood why someone would even want to be touched, it wasn’t like it was something you could keep forever.

Taehyung chuckled at Jimin’s words, shaking his head. He just liked to be full of energy because he knew after the show, he’d be totally pooped. He let out a breath when they said it was finally time for them to go on stage, following his brothers out and getting into position. It was only about ten seconds before the lights went up and the music for their song DNA began to play. He put on a grin and started dancing, his eyes wandering over all the beautiful faces in the crowd. As usual, he was a total goofball on the stage, enjoying himself and just having a good time. It was New Year’s, it was exciting, and even though he always did his best on stage, he always tried to enjoy himself as well. His eyes wandered to the girls in the front row, smiling at them.

Yoona grinned as they ran off stage, hugging her bandmates and congratulating all of them for doing so well. She sat down and patted her face dry with a small towel, not wanting to ruin her makeup. She drank some water and ate a small granola bar, deciding to go watch BTS while everyone else was winding down. She stood on the side of the stage, watching them. She was always so mesmerized by how in sync they were. It always looked so easy for them, like it just came naturally, and she figured it was because of the strong bond they had with each other. It was clear when you looked at BTS that they weren’t just a group, they were a brotherhood. And she hoped one day her own group could be that strong.

Jimin was super stoked that they could finally go on stage. It was probably his favorite place in the world. Being onstage and performing for his fans made him feel so alive. The roar of the crowed and their excitement lit him on fire and gave him life. He got into position, waiting for the music to start playing. He almost tripped and fell over Taehyung when he decided to do some silly sort of move that caught almost all of them off guard. Jimin shoves him a little and continues dancing. When it was all over he was pretty quick to get off the stage, almost running into Yoona. “Oh, I’m so sorry,” he said, his cheeks turning a bit pink. “I really need to watch where I’m going.” Jimin bit down on his lower lip hard, knowing this could be his golden opportunity to compliment her performance tonight. “Um, I really loved your groups performance out there tonight. You all did amazing,” he said with a huge smile, almost too huge to seem real. He was just terrible at talking to girls sometimes, he didn’t know why he put himself through this.

Olivia was so thrilled that BTS was finally coming on. She couldn’t keep her eyes off of V, biting her lower lip. He was honestly gorgeous and she couldn’t wait to meet him backstage. The only downfall was that her Korean wasn’t the best and it was going to be a little bit difficult for her to communicate. When the set was over Olivia followed her friends backstage. “This is so exciting!” Abby squealed, clapping her hands like a small child. Olivia laughed and shook her head, biting her lower lip as she watched her friend run right up to Rap Monster and introduce herself. Olivia actually wasn’t really sure what to do, so she stood off to the side and watched everyone. There were so many beautiful people that she actually felt self conscious of herself. She sighed softly, rocking on the balls of her feet.

Taehyung grabbed a bottle of water and took a sip, soothing his throat. He let out a sigh and glanced over when he saw some pretty girls approaching. They were mostly American, it seemed, so he kept to himself by the snack table, away from everyone. He was awful with English. He only knew a few words and phrases, and while he tried to learn more, English was a lot harder to learn than he could have ever imagined. There were so many things different than Korean. He picked up a banana and peeled it, starting to eat it. He was a bit queasy, but he figured a little snack wouldn’t hurt. He usually wasn’t one to keep to himself like this, but he didn’t want to embarrass himself in front of fans. Especially American ones. He wanted to make a good impression on everyone, so they would keep coming back to concerts and buying the new songs.

Yoona smiled, surprised to hear such praise from someone like Jimin. “Oh, um, thank you,” she murmured, nodding her head. “That really means a lot, coming from you.” She was unable to wipe the smile from her face. All her life, all she wanted was to be recognized for her talents, and now that someone as amazingly talented as him was complimenting her, it just made her so incredibly happy. Butterflies were swirling in her stomach, and she had to try to maintain her composure and keep from bursting into a fit of giggles. “You were very amazing as well. Your performances are always amazing.” She didn’t want to come off as a fan girl, so she kept it at that, not wanting to mention the fact that she’d been watching BTS performances for years now.

Jimin could tell that he had just made her really giddy and he kind of made him feel that way too. He always loved making people feel good. He chuckled when she said that his performances were always goood, biting his lower lip. “Thank you, we all try our hardest out there,” he said with a nod. “Even though Taehyung likes to do his little jokes and mess things up sometimes, it still turns out pretty good.” Jimin bit down on his lower lip, looking her over. “I hope I’m not keeping you from anything,” he told her with wide eyes. He would feel terrible if she was supposed to be somewhere and he was keeping her from that he couldn’t help it though, he just really wanted to talk to her and get to know her. She seemed like an amazing person and anyone would be crazy not to want to get to know her. “Do you have any other performances anytime soon?” Jimin asked her, curious. He would love to see her perform again as well as just see her in general.

Olivia ran a hand through her hair as she looked around. She really wanted to go talk to one of the band members but her Korean was so weak. She stared at V, rocking back and forth on her heels. “Want me to translate for you?” Someone asked as they came up behind her. Olivia jumped, placing her hand over her heart. It was Namjoon. “You scared me,” she said with a pout. “That would be wonderful, though,” she said with a huge smile. This man was so sweet, he definitely go some major brownie points from her. Olivia followed Namjoon over to another one of the band members, who was standing there eating a banana. “Hello,” Olivia said, biting her lower lip. “I’m Olivia, I adored you show tonight,” she said with a smile. Watched him eat that banana made her extremely hungry. She hadn’t realized that she never ate today. “Is that banana good?” She asked with a smirk.

Taehyung stared at the girl with wide eyes for a moment, his brain going a mile a minute. “Uh, thank you,” he said, in English. He glanced up at Namjoon for reassurance, and his hyung just smiled and gave him a nod. He looked down at the banana in his hand and then back at her, unsure of what to say. He wasn’t very good with English, so he was a bit intimidated by this girl, especially with Namjoon standing there, able to hear everything he was saying. He looked back at Namjoon, the look in his eyes screaming for help.

Namjoon translated for Taehyung, letting out a small chuckle as he did.

“Oh,” Taehyung mumbled. “Uh, yeah.” His cheeks were burning bright red and he had his usual boxy, sheepish grin on his face.

Yoona shook her head. “Oh, no, I don’t have anywhere else to be,” she said, smiling softly at him. “I think we have some more promotions back home, and then we’re going to start filming our next music video.” One of the things she loved most was the filming of the music videos. Their first one had been a success, and she was even more excited now for the second one. The concepts that their producer came up with were really cool. “We don’t usually get to talk to people from other companies. But I’m glad I had the opportunity to talk to you.” She hoped she didn’t sound too awkward, but she had never really been good in social situations. She was a bit socially awkward, to say the least. But when she was up on stage performing, you’d never be able to tell. Because she loved performing. It was like she was really able to be her true self.

Jimin smiled as he listened to her talk. He could tell that she was really passionate about her music and he admired that. He loved talking to other musicians who were just taking off in their career. “That’s awesome,” he said with a nod. “I’m really glad we had the opportunity to talk as well. Hopefully wr’ll Be able to again sometime.” Jimin thought for a moment, really wishing he could ask her for her number but he knew that it would be a bad idea. Besides, he was a little nervous for rejection. “I’ll be sure to catch one of your shows back home for sure. It’s great watching you perform.” Jimin grabbed an apple and a bottle of water from the table, raising a brow when he heard some girls calling out for Yoona. “I think your band mates are looking for you,” he said with a small laugh. “I better get going anyways, it was really great to meet you. I have no doubt that we will see one another again,” he told her with a nod. He bowed slightly before walking away towards his band mates.

Olivia grinned and bit down on her bottom lip. This was going to be a bit harder than she thought trying to talk to these guys, even though she did have a pretty good translator. She thought Taehyung was just adorable though. She cleared her throat and rocked back on her heels, looking around the room before she looked back at the two in front of her. “I really enjoyed your show tonight and I hope I’ll be able to see one again someday soon. You’re all so fully of energy and so talented.” Olivia really wasn’t sure what else to say, she was a bit nervous to be fair. She was talking to some really famous guys right now and she wanted her first impression to at least be somewhat decent. She was sure it didn’t matter though because an opportunity like this was once in a lifetime and she was almost sure she’d never get to talk to them again.

“Thank you, that means a lot to us,” Namjoon said, offering her a kind smile. “Maybe one day you’ll get to travel to Korea and see us there.” He looked at Taehyung, who seemed to be somewhat following the conversation. If he recognized enough words, he could follow along and get a bit of an idea of what was happening, but sometimes it got too much for him and he was just absolutely clueless.

Taehyung thought to himself for a moment. He wanted to impress the girl with what little English he did know, hoping that he wouldn’t make a complete fool of himself. “Thank you for, um… come to our show,” he said, smiling at himself. He still glanced at Namjoon for reassurance though, and when his hyung gave him a smile in return, his only grew even more. He planned on learning more English as soon as he got back home. It seemed like it was inevitable now, what with their growing popularity. They’d have to learn more English if they planned on staying relevant in the United States.

Yoona bowed, groaning inwardly as she came back upright. As much as she loved her unnies, she really wished they had better timing. She felt like she and Jimin were just getting to a good point in their conversation and now he was gone and she would feel incredibly awkward chasing after him. She sighed as she walked over to her bandmates, putting on a smile for them. They were obviously so overexcited about the performance since everyone had done so well, and they wanted to celebrate. She looked over her shoulder, trying to spot Jimin, but he seemed to have disappeared. She sighed, hoping that she’d see him again someday. She really wanted to get to know him. She went back to the hotel with her group, going to the room she was sharing with one of her unnies and plopping down on the bed. She told the rest of them that they could go ahead and celebrate without her because she was tired, and she really just wasn’t in the mood. She changed into her pajamas and put a face mask on, sitting on her bed and scrolling through her laptop.
