A Dangerous Connection || Closed

Ariel enjoyed doing her makeup, and posting her newest creation to her face online. She had managed a large following of people on most of her social medias. The young girl was a bit addicted to the internet if you would, her parents tried to keep her off as much they could, but once she had a phone she was able to do whatever she pleased. This included talking to people online, at all hours of the day. Numerous times her mother had come into her room during the late hours of the night, just to find her sixteen year old daughters' face illuminated by the screen of her phone. However, they never asked what she was doing on her phone, and if they had, they would've known she was up talking to a boy she had met through social media.

She had plans to meet him. She was so excited. They had been talking for months, they knew everything about one another. Ariel had sent him pictures daily, which she in turn received one or two back. They talked on the phone all night, and texted all day. They agreed that the two of them were an item, but no official title until they met in person. Well, the day had finally come for her to meet Allen. The small girl had decided on a pair of leggings, with a light jacket, and a tight top underneath (She had to accentuate what she believed her best assets).

Ariel had told Allen she wanted to meet by the fountain in the mall, it was her safest bet at meeting someone new. He agreed, and explained how his uncle would be bringing him down to meet her. She sent him a text telling him what end of the fountain she would be on. She told her parents that she was going to be at a movie with her friend, who knew she was supposed to be meeting this guy and covered for her. Her heart was beating out of her chest.

Charles hadn't really meant to meet someone like Ariel, he had just been bored one night while laying on his couch at home when he stumbled across a picture of her makeup that she had posted. In that moment, he had known that he needed her to be his. She was beautiful with long, brown hair and her eyes a beautiful hazel. Her smile made his heart swell and a sense of pride settle over him each time that he knew her smile was because of him. He knew that he wasn't quite what Ariel that he was but he knew he was handsome, he had been told that time and time again by women who just didn't do anything for him. Some of them were into the dynamic that he was but they just... they got boring after awhile. They didn't offer any sense of excitement because they always listened to him and they never offered any sense of attitude.

He wanted a little girl that he could mold and help grow into a beautiful woman who was still willing to listen to him and take his guidance wherever possible. Charles knew that the challenges that were ahead of them weren't going to be easy to overcome but he hoped that with time that Ariel would grow to love him as much as he loved her. Surely she would, he had every intention of spoiling her rotten once they had settled into their proper roles and once Ariel understood her place.

Texting Ariel that he was sending his uncle in because he had tripped down the stairs that morning and had twisted his ankle so he didn't want to walk all the way inside, Charles sighed as he shoved his phone into his pocket. He also sent her a picture of the boy he had said was him, sitting in a truck with almost a pout on his face to help concrete the fact that it was really him. Charles headed into the mall, his stomach twisted into a mass of knots as he approached the water fountain. When he finally spotted Ariel, Charles stopped in his tracks. He almost turned around and left because he was nervous and he didn't want to upset her but he needed her. Approaching her, Charles cleared his throat as he came to a stop in front of her.

"Hey, uh, Ariel? Allen is really sorry about tripping but since he's so busy with sports and school, he didn't want to cancel since he didn't know next time we would be able to come down," Charles explained with a soft smile. He was trying to not come off too strong, wanting Ariel to feel at ease with him.

{ I'm so sorry! I was sick over the weekend, and my work schedule throws off my sleep. Sigh }

Ariel almost jumped when she heard her name. Turning, and being faced with a gentleman quite older than what she had expected, her cheeks flushed. “Oh.” She frowned slightly at the explanation he gave. She had read the message Allen had sent her, the picture had broken her heart a little bit. “I’m glad he was still up for seeing me though.” She chewed on her bottom lip for a moment, looking around to the rest of the mall. People were in their own worlds, completely unaware that an older guy was talking to a girl of her age. “So is he waiting for us then?” His smile eased her nerves some.

The girl was aware of her surroundings, she had always done what she was told if she was meeting someone from the internet. That meant she would be safe, right? She tried to keep her mind from going to the worst possible situation. “So where are we going to hang out then?” It was at that moment she had realized she told her friend that she would be at a movie. Now she would be going somewhere new. Ignoring the unsettling feeling that was creeping in her stomach, she looked up to Charles.

Charles' heart dropped when all Ariel did was go 'oh'. He had hoped for some sort of reaction past that but if that was all he was going to get, he prayed that this was going to work. He knew how risky this was going to be and he hated the knowledge that he was going to have to hurt Ariel to get his way. He didn't want to hurt her but she would grow to love him with time. He was sure of it, she just had to. With everything that he had planned for her and them together, Charles didn't see how she could possibly not fall in love with him. It might take a little bit of time but he was okay with that.

"Yeah," Charles was quick to answer Ariel, nodding his head a bit too eagerly when she asked if his nephew was waiting for them. "Allen said something about going to a local park. He thinks it'll be nice and romantic," Charles tried to joke, giving a lighthearded roll of his eyes as he started to lead Ariel out of the mall. He shoved his hands into his pockets, chewing on the inside of his lip. "Allen is really excited to meet you, for what it's worth. I don't think I've ever seen him this excited for anything."

(Finally back to the realm of the living. Can we agree that sick season sucks? )

Ariel blushed as she left with the slightly unknown man. "I'm really excited to meet him, too! I really haven't been able to contain myself from talking about him. But I've really only gotten to tell my friend about him." Her parents would've killed her if they knew she had been talking to someone online, let alone someone she planned to meet. Her whole life was spent online, she believed she knew what she was doing. She was a little anxious, but was fine with them going to a park. It sounded a little dorky, yet cute. "So has he talked to you about me, or anything? I just don't know what everyone knows about me, or us." Her laugh was a little nervous. She wanted her nerves to calm, but her excitement was keeping it from happening.

Charles didn't want to hurt Ariel but he knew that he was going to have to, to get her to where he wanted her to be. He smiled a bit at the mention of her friend, trying to ignore the way his stomach churned at the thought. He wondered just how much her friend knew about 'Allen' or about their meeting. He hoped it wasn't enough that would end up ruining his plan. Swallowing back his nerves, he grinned at her next question. "Yeah, Allen couldn't stop talking about you. He said he talks about you to his friends and of course, that's all he's been able to talk about the whole way here."

His breathe caught as they walked up to his all black suv, the back windows tinted so no one could see inside. Ariel started to open the back door where Charles had said Allen was. He very nearly didn't go through with his plan before he realized that it was too late, that he was here and there was no turning away now. He took a deep breathe as he frowned slightly. "I'm sorry, Ariel..." Charles said, reached forward and shoving Ariel into the vehicle. He slammed the door shut. The child locks were enabled so there was no doubt that Ariel wasn't going anywhere that Charles didn't want her to.

Rushing around the front of the vehicle, Charles climbed into the driver's seat. Scowling when Charles saw Ariel's cellphone in her hand, he reached back and tore the phone out of her grip. He tossed it into the passenger's seat before he reached forward to grip Ariel's chin in his hand. "I don't want to hurt you, Ariel. This is either going to go easy or the hard way and I promise, I don't want the hard way any more than you do," he said, his voice taking on a hard edge. "So which is it?"
