Heart for Heart

"So Emma." He said as he kissed her lips. "I was wondering if we could maybe talk a little more about how future. I know things have been going wonderful, and I'm really glad I got a second chance with you. However, I wanted to see what we needed to focus on to make sure things are better this time -- not saying that we're going to screw up or anything."

Emma looked at Will, "I am not sure. What do you think?" Emma questioned Will.

Will looked to Emma. He wasn't really sure what to say. There was so much that he could say, but he didn't want to scare or push her away.

Emma rose an eyebrow staring at him, "Will, what's wrong?" Emma questioned worried.

Will came back to reality, stopping himself from zoning out. Looking to her, shaking his head. "Nothing, I just want you to know that I am really glad that we have had a second chance."

Emma smiled cupping his cheek, "So am I Will." Emma whispered leaning over kissing his lips softly.

Will smiled and kissed her lips softly. "So, what are you wanting to do now?"

Emma shrugged, "I am not sure." Emma smiled softly. "I actually am supposed to work tonight. I really dread it." Emma frowned. "You're off, and I have to put up with Charles teasing all night. That old man loves to tease me. Sometimes I believe my father puts him up to it." Emma frowned.

Wil laughed lightly. "Well Charles will make your shift much more entertaining." He teased her, leaning into her. He smiled and kissed her sweetly before pulling back. "What time do you get off?"

Emma looked at him, "Oh certian he does." Emma smiled. "In the morning normal time." Emma leaned over kissing his lips softly. "But I have time before work." She teased a little.

Will rose an eyebrow. "What are you wanting to do before work?" He kissed her softly on the lips. He was really intrigued by her teasing and wanted to know what was on that pretty little mind of hers.

Emma looked at him and smiled a little. She started to say something as her phone began buzzing. Sighing she lent back and looked at the caller ID. Seeing the message from her dad she frowned. "I have to go Will." Emma got up. "Something's happened to Justin and they just took him to Med." Emma kissed Will before leaving and heading to the hospital to see what was wrong with her brother.

Will frowned as he kissed her softly on the lips. "Keep me updated." He said as he motioned for the waiter to come over. He pulled out his card, quickly paying for the dinner. He then walked out of the restaurant, making his way to his car. He was thinking about going to the hospital to see how Emma's brother was doing, but he didn't want to smother her. He decided that he would go home and wait for her text.

One she'd talked to her dad after she'd found out about him. Emma sighed leaning against the wall as she wiped her eyes. She didn't know how Olive and Charlie would make it. Getting her phone from her scrub pocket she took and called Will sighing to herself wiping her eyes.

Will had been laying on the couch in his apartment when he heard his phone vibrate. Quickly picking it up to see who it was, he didn't waste a minute more to answer it. "Emma, is everything okay?" He asked, waiting for her to respond. He had already thought worse case scenarios along with the minor ones too.

Emma cleared her throat, "No." Emma sniffed a little. "Someone murdered Justin. Rhodes tried to do everything he could. But--" She trailed off breaking down. "He's gone." Emma whispered.

Instant tears filled the young man's eyes. Her brother was gone. How? Why? Who would do such a thing? Millions of these questions rushed through his mind as he tried his best to comprehend the words from the other side. "Gone?" He managed to escape from his lips. "Oh Emma..." He breathed. He didn't wait a minute more as he picked up his keys, rushing out of the house. He needed to be there. She needed him.

Seeing her dad walking towards her, Emma dropped the phone to the ground. Going to her knees the mixed emotions flew all over her. She let it all out as she felt her dad's arms around her. She couldn't believe her older brother had been murdered in cold blood. "Why Justin?" Emma whispered into her dad's shoulder gripping to his back as she cried harder. He was her partner in crime, they should've been twins. They were just getting back to good terms from a huge fight they'd had when she'd left Chicago. Crying harder she felt her dad rock back and forth with her as she gripped tighter.

Will rushed to the hospital, his heart instantly breaking when he saw Emma practically broken in her father's arms. He strolled across the floor of the hospital to her. "Emma." He said, making eye contact with her father. He nodded to him before pulling Emma into his arms. He said nothing, just held onto her. "Shh..." He whispered softly as he rocked her back and forth, trying anything and everything to soothe her.

Emma gripped to Will's back as she buried her face into his chest. She couldn't believe her older brother was gone. "He's gone." Emma whispered crying harder.
