Mina shook her head, "Niko won't let him do that because he needs me for the money." She told her quietly. "Please just go. You can get help and Niko can't chase you and me." She told her. "This is the only time he will be alone." She explained.

Zoe shook her head and bit down on her lip and looked at her, "Where am I supposed to go, then, Mina?" She laughed rubbing at her face trying to remove the tears, but they kept coming in piles and piles. "I won't be able to make it anywhere, even with my insulin, you know that." She told her sniffling. "I already tried and he beat me in the face. I couldn't get far."

Mina sighed, "take it with you. He left Zoey. He can't catch you since he isn't here." She said. She knew that she didn't want to leave her. "Zoey I know you are scared." She told her. "I just don't want you to end up killed." He said.

Zoe shook her head and said, "Even with it, I won't make it far, you know that." She told her holding onto her hand hearing her words and felt her tears fall faster, "I don't want to." SHe whispered. "I can't protect you if i'm not here." She sobbed.

Mina nodded, "Okay. Maybe I can talk to Niko about not letting Jackson hurt you again." She told her. She didn't want her friend to get hurt again.

Zoe looked at her and sniffled and hugged her knowing that she never was upset or anything in front of anyone except Mina. "I'm sorry." She sobbed and just held onto her friend. She shook her head before letting go and said, "I'm sorry." She murmured calmed down now.

Mina held her, "It's okay." She said. "It's not your fault." She told her. "Why don't you get cleaned up and I will go talk to Niko." She said. She got up, helping her friend up. She walked out and went to Niko's room, walking in. She found him sitting on his bed. She walked over to him and stood in front of him.

Zoe just nodded before sighing and getting back into the shower washing herself before getting on clothes and sitting in the corner away from the door not wanting him to come back.

Niko had his eyes closed as he sat on his bed. He heard footsteps and looked up to see Mina. He watched her befoer sighing and said, "Is she alright?" He didn't care that much, but knew that she did.

Mina shook her head, "No she's not." She said. She stood between his legs, "Can you get him to leave her alone?" She asked him. "I know you don't care or whatever, but this is getting out of hand." She said, looking at her hands, not wanting to look at him. She was scared of his reaction.

Zoe wrapped a blanket around herself and just laid there on the floor not wanting Jackson to come back and hurt her again. She just wanted to be somewhere else with Mina. The only person that had come to care for her.

Niko watched her feeling her move forwards between his legs. He sighed hearing her words and ran a hand through his hair. "I could probably convince him to stop hurting her like beating her, but I can't convince him to stop with the psychological abuse." He murmured before looking at her. "Are you scared of me?" He asked softly.

Mina looked at him, "I mean kind of. Not as much as before." She said. She was glad he would help. "Whatever you can do will help." She said, smiling a little. "Thank you." She said to him. "Does it bother you that I am afraid?" She asked.

Zoe wondered when he would be back. She was getting tired of having to look like a blueberry that was rotting from all of her bruises. She stood up wobbly and headed to the kitchen. She got herself some dinner knowing if she didn't eat, it would be bad.

Niko watched her before giving a nod and sighed, "As you saw, we don't particularly like one another, especially not when he gets like that." HE replied before looking up hearing her question and furrowed his brow and murmured, "I'm not sure.."

Mina watched him, "What do you mean you don't know?" She asked. Mina bit her bottom lip lightly as she waited for him to answer. She was so glad that he wasn't siding with Jackson on this.

Zoe cooked some food before sitting down and beginning to eat. Afterwards she crawled into the bed and curled into a ball before falling asleep. She was in the middle of the bed and her face looked far more childlike.

Niko watched her and sighed and said, "I just..don't know." He looked up at her his brows creased. He glanced at the door hearing it open and wondered if Jackson was back.

Mina frowned when she heard the door open. She moved away from Niko and sat down next to him on the bed. she was worried that Jackson was going to hurt Zoey.

Jackson walked into the house, sighing as he shut the door. He locked it then made his way back to the bedroom. He frowned when he seen Zoey laying in the bed. He got ready for bed, then laid down, deciding not to mess with her. He was too tired and slightly drunk to do that.

Niko looked up watching as Jackson went into his bedroom. He shook his head relaxing not worried in the least. He laid back on his bed lightly and murmured, "He won't do anything." He only told her because she looked worried sick.

Zoe felt someone laying on the bed, and scooted a little bit away before wrapping herself in the blanket snuggling into the pillow as best as she could. She woke in the morning with her head laying on Jackson's chest. She yawned softly beginning to move away.

Mina looked at him, "I guess." she said as she laid back in the bed with him. She fell asleep, waking up, feeling Niko's arm around her. She stared at the wall next to her and smiled.

Jackson woke up the next morning, feeling Zoe's body pressed against his. He smirked as he held her close. He ran his fingers through her hair, not really thinking about the issues they had the day before.

Niko nodded and before long fell asleep close to Mina. Soon, his arms wrapped around her, bringing her close to him. His face laid against the pillow, all of the coldness that once filled his features gone. He was reduced to a young boy that seemed oddly sweet.

Zoe just stayed where she was not opening her eyes. She didn't realize his arms were around her. She just knew she was warm. She didn't want to get up and face reality. She soon felt fingers in her hair and opened her eyes to see Jackson. She moved away putting space between them before blinking to get the blurriness ut of her eyes.

Mina rolled over and stared at Niko for a little bit as he slept. She smiled as she leaned in and kissed him softly. She knew that he probably wouldn't care since he had kissed her the night before.

Jackson looked over as she pulled away, "What you don't like me?" He teased her before he got out of the bed. He got dressed, "Come on let's go eat breakfast." he said as he walked out to the kitchen. He started to make some food for them, knowing she had to eat.

Niko was comfortable where he was. He felt something on his lips and opened his eyes before a small smile formed and he kissed back. He never smiled often. He pulled awya gently and watched her surprised a little.

Zoe watched him sighing when he asked the question knowing better than to answer. She was just glad that she had gotten clothes on and wanted it to stay that way. She stood up hearing his words and went into the kitchen. She checked her blood pressure before taking her shots wincing at the needle.
