Fire In The Hole. [closed]

Alyssa ran a hand through her hair looking up seeing Jace holding her and was surprised. His face looked so handsome in the light. She gave him a small smile and murmured, "What?" She didn't know why he was looking at her.

Blaze shook his head and sighed, "I have a feeling it's going to last at least a couple of hours and by then it will be night." He glanced back at hre and said, "The faster he we get back, the faster we aren't bait."

Jace shook his head, "Nothing. I was just thinking." He said as he got up. He knew that they couldn't sit around much longer. He wanted to get out of the cave and headed back to the camp. He didn't need to let Alyssa get in his head either. She was probably up to no good.

Starr nodded when he spoke, knowing that he was frustrated. The night seemed to drag on until the next morning. She was glad when she could see that the clouds were gone. She grabbed her stuff then looked at Blaze. She walked with him through the woods. Starr bit her bottom lip lightly when she heard a noise, stopping when Blaze did. Before anything could be said a scream was heard from the back of the line and she looked back, seeing one of his men getting attacked. Starr heard more coming, and all hell broke lose. She managed to get away from them and felt Blaze grab her and pull her with him as they made their way away from the group. A few of the guys followed, but she could hear the screams of other. "Aren't you going to help them?" She asked Blaze once they were farther away. He could tell by the look on his face that he didn't care and that getting back was more important.

Alyssa nodded biting her lip when he left. She was surprised that he was letting her get so close. She was suspicious knowing she didn't need to let him get so close. She shook her head pulling the jacket closer to her, ignoring the snores of men all around her. She felt very odd being the only woman here. She kept to herself glad that the thunder had pretty much gone away and listened to the pitter patter of the rain.

Blaze heard the scream, turning around cursing when he saw how many there were. He glanced around seeing Starr and grabbed her immediately heading towards somewhere remote and away from the conflict. He set her down afterwards listening to the screams. He glanced down his eyes noncaring. "No. There were too many." He sighed shaking his head. He then grabbed her arm lightly and said, "Come on. This is getting too dangerous. We need to get back." he murmured knowing that he hadn't imagined the infected getting this bad, or numerous.

Jace stared as the rain started to let up. He knew as soon as the sun broke over the mountains that he was waking everyone up so they could be on their way. He glanced back, seeing that Alyssa was not actually asleep. He figured that she wouldn't be anyway. She was too freaked out by the storm for that. He sat down, staring out the cave entrance. He wanted to get this over with so that they could move on and get on with the plan.

Starr look at him, feeling his hand wrap around her arm. She followed him, hearing a three men that survived following them. She could tell they were really freaked out though. She could tell that Blaze seemed worried as well, "What's wrong?" She asked him. She noticed his grip was a lot tighter than normal, but not enough to really hurt her. She attempted to keep up with him, even though his strides were a lot longer than hers.

Alyssa stared at the ceiling, laying down a little with the jacket wrapped around her tightly and just stared int the fire. She didn't want to know what was going on outside at the moment. She wondered if the infected were going to kill her before she made it to the rebel camp. She looked at her trembling hands before clenching them determined that she wasn't going to die.

Blaze frowned hearing them coming quicker. He sped up and turned back hearing her words and raised a finger to his mouth signaling for her to be quiet. He rounded the corner before pressing her into a tree silencing her with a hand on her mouth glancing around, keeping his body pressed against hers knowing they'd be able to smell her more distinctly than him. His body was rigid and tense as he glanced around.

Jace walked over and noticed that Alyssa was looking at her hands. "Are you okay?" He asked as he sat beside of her. Jace grabbed his canteen and took a swig of his water. He was sure that she was freaked out.

Starr went to gasp but was cut off when his hand went over his mouth. She looked at him, feeling his muscular body pressed against hers. Her blue eyes looked over where his were but she didnt see anything. Starr looked at him, his eyes meeting hers. Starr was freaked out and she was glad she had Blaze.

Alyssa glanced up seeing Jace and nodded softly. "As okay as I can be." She murmured softly. She knew better than to tell him that she was worried about her father. Her brow furrowed as she sighed shaking her head. "Can't sleep." She admitted running a hand through her violet hair.

Blaze stared her in the eyes. After a moment, he leaned close to her face near her ear. His lips grazing them as he spoke in a quiet voice. "I need you to be silent. Don't make a sound -- don't make a word, or we're all going to die." He pulled back to look her in the eyes before he pulled away from pinning her to the tree. He then lifted her a little bit before nodding his head to his back. Once she was on, he nodded to the other guys and started to run as fast as he could knowing that she couldn't keep up with him. He moved silently.

Jace leaned back against the wall of the cave and looked at her. "Well we are safe for now." He said. He smiled as he closed his eyes and relaxed. He looked over when he heard someone move around. He felt like he was always on alert.

Starr nodded when he told her to be quiet. She let him run with her and gripped his shirt as they moved. She was glad he decided to carry her. When they got to a safe place she let him put her down and looked at him.

"As safe as I can be when I'm a hostage." Alyssa murmured softly with a sigh. Soon, exhaustion overtook her as she fell asleep, her mouth parted slightly as she slept. She gripped his jacket that was draped on top of her as she slept as if she were frightened.

Blaze was grateful when she understood how serious it was. He sighed as he set her down once they were in the safe place. He glanced out looking around his face dripping from the rain. He glanced back and said, "That's why I didn't wait for anyone."

Jace watched her then got up the next morning. He gathered his things then woke up Alyssa, "Come on we need to get going." He said. He started walking, knowing the group wouldnt be far behind.

Starr looked up at him, "How close are we?" She asked as she pushed the hair out of her face. She looked around the forest, seeing the rain pouring down.

Alyssa felt someone's hand on her shoulder and looked up seeing his face. She blinked a little to help with the blurriness then nodded. She got up and ran a hand over her face before beginning to walk behind him following behind a little ways.

"A day or two." Blaze said glancing around again. "I guess we'll camp here for the night." He murmured before sighing as he nodded his head at the guys to get a fire going and such. He sat down and popped his neck a little.

Jace was glad the rain had finally stopped. He made sure to pay attention to the area around them as they walked. He pulled Alyssa closer to him to make sure she didnt try anything.

Starr nodded then found a good chair to sit down. Starr pulled out her journal and began to write. She just wanted the journey to be over with.

Alyssa gasped when she felt Jace's hand on her arm pulling her closer to him. She frowned a little pulling her arm away from his grip, rubbing it softly. She had forgotten to give him his jacket back, so she wore it around herself to keep her warm not noticing the suspicious glances she was getting.

Blaze sat down by the fire beginning to cook their food for the night. Once it was done, he gave Starr a bowl before eating his own. He finished his food and checked the entrance once more.

Jace sighed as they walked for what seemed like hours. He looked at everyone, "Let's rest here." He said.

Starr took the food from him and out her journal away. She began to eat, feeling Blaze look at her every once in awhile.

Alyssa sighed as she finally got to rest. She looked at her feet knowing she wasn't in the right shoes for this. She stretched her feet and legs a little not liking how stiff they felt.

Blaze watched her for a moment before watching the entrance looking out into the darkness he narrowed his gaze as he did so.

Jace looked at her, "You want a drink?" He asked as he offered her a bottle of water. he knew it was a long trip.

Starr walked over to Blaze, "Something wrong?" She asked as she tried to look where he was looking.

"Yeah, thanks." Alyssa murmured sipping some of the water before handing it back. She felt exhausted already but knew they still had to walk a lot more. She frowned softly wondering why he had to take her.

Blaze shook his head lightly and said, "Just looking. There's movement, but I'm not sure if it's an animal or the infected. It doesn't matter, too much. Just curiousity. It's a long ass ways away, so I'm sure you an't see it.

Jace frowned, "What?" He asked, crossing his arms. He couldnt help but think she was plotting something.

Starr looked at him "Well, how can you see it?" She asked, frowning. she wondered if he had better sight than her.

Alyssa blinked hearing Jace and looked up and murmured, "Just wishing I wasn't kidnapped." She looked down at her hands for a moment before shrugging. She sighed softly.

"I'm not sure. I can lift a tree though, so there's a bunch of shit I can do, that i'm not sure how." He reminded her and watched the trees blow a little and sighed. "I can't explain it."
