In Your Eyes.

Sierra really should have known better than to get involved in something like this. She never should have convinced herself that she could keep her feelings for Sebastian completely platonic considering the fact that when she’d agreed to this little arrangement with the fluffy haired man she’d already had a few drinks, but here she was now, royally fucked because she had feelings for the man she’d been having mind-blowing sex with for the last couple of months. At the time a no-strings-attached sort of relationship had seemed great. Sebastian was good looking, and things weren’t awkward because they’d been friends for a few years now, but she really should have known better. She should have known that developing feelings for Sebastian was inevitable, but she hadn’t, and she had no fucking clue what to do about it. She knew that he’d probably found it unusual that she’d left so early the morning prior, and she’d be surprised if he didn’t mention it when they hung out today, and maybe it was stupid of her considering she always stayed and had a cup of coffee with him before a quickie in the shower and heading off to work, but she hadn’t really been thinking. “Hey you.” She said, mustering a small smile as she watched the Aegean-eyed man approach the table she was sitting at in their favorite coffee shop in Soho.

Chris’ friendship with Juliette had never really been much of a secret. The blonde never minded being seen out in public with him, and he never minded it either, so they never really hid the close relationship that they had. He saw no reason to. There was nothing to hide, they were friends and there really wasn’t much of anything else to it. Yes, he thought Juliette was attractive, he had perfectly good eyesight thank you very much, but she was one of his closest friends. He wasn’t going to fuck things up and try to pursue something that might not end up working out. Plus, he had Parker to worry about too. He loved Juliette’s son like he did his own nieces and nephews, and he wasn’t about to think with his dick over his heart and try to start something with Juliette that could end badly. He was fine being one of Juliette’s best friends and being Uncle Chris to Parker. He didn’t need to be something else to either of them.

Juliette had a really nice relationship with Chris, and she was proud to call him her best friend. He was so good with Parker, and she loved how much her son adored Chris. It was funny to Juliette when she would see comments on Twitter of people trying to figure out if she and Chris were dating or not. Of course, Juliette had thought about it before, but she didn't want to screw things up for Parker should that ever happen and then go south. It was really good for Parker to have that male role model in his life seeing as his father wasn't around. Aaron had been a standup guy until he finally got in her pants and then left her in the dust like she was nothing. When she tried to contact him that she was pregnant, he never even answered her calls. He ghosted her bad, and because of that he now didn't get to know his son, "Parker, make sure you clean up your toys after you're finished playing with them. Uncle Chris should be here soon to take us to dinner, and I don't want a mess when we get back." Juliette said to her son as he started moving onto his racing cars from his dinos.

Sebastian knew it was a bad idea. He knew that things would eventually get complicated because he knew he was bound to fall for her. Who wouldn't fall for her? She was absolutely breathtaking and had the personality to back that up. He knew he was in trouble the first moment he laid eyes on her, but he still went through with the idea. He figured that a no-strings-attached relationship would be great for him because the two had already been friends before they decided on the idea so nothing changed there, he got to have amazing sex to add onto that, and he wouldn't have to worry about his schedule ruining a relationship because he couldn't be around all the time, but then he went and fell for her, and now he was royally screwed, and not in a fun way. He looked up from his phone when he heard the voice he had grown used to hearing every day, "Hey, gorgeous." He replied with a smile as he nodded to the coffee in front of him, "You're just in time, they just brought that over. I told them to wait a few minutes since I got here early, and I didn't want to greet you with a cold coffee."

Sierra smiled. "You're the best." She said, pressing a friendly kiss to his cheek before she took a seat across from him at the table. She sipped her coffee, letting out a soft hum of content as she allowed the warmth of it to fill her up. God, he looked good. She loved when he wore bomber jackets, he'd been wearing a lot lately. Almost as much as she loved him wearing nothing at all. "Sorry I left before you got back from the gym yesterday, Kara was having a crisis back at the apartment, so I had to stop there before I went to the office." It was a bullshit excuse but he didn't need to know that. He didn't need to know that she'd left because she was low-key freaking out because she'd finally come to terms with the fact that she now had feelings for him and she was totally fucked because of it. She wasn't going to acknowledge that fact right now though. She was going to try not to acknowledge it ever truthfully.

Chris never really understood how anyone could ghost someone the way that Parker's father had ghosted Juliette. She was an amazing person, beautiful both inside and out, and she had an equally as amazing son to boot. He'd never understand how anyone could ghost someone knowing that there was a child involved. If he ever found out that he had a kid, he would make sure that he was in that child's life and he'd make sure that it remained as such. There was nothing that excused behavior like that. Not even a little bit. That was why he was more than willing to help Juliette out whenever he could. He cared about Parker just as much as he cared about her. He pitched in wherever Juliette would allow him to. Once he reached her place, he was quick to make his way to the door, knowing he'd likely be bombarded the second she let him into the house by a certain five year old.

Juliette was slipping his shoes on when she heard Parker start yelling, "Unca Chris is here!!!" He quickly threw down his toys before he rushed over to the door and opened it. Normally Juliette would scold Parker for opening the front door before she got to it, but since it was Chris, she let it go, "I'm almost ready! I just have to find my purse. Parker, put your toys away." Juliette said as she hurried out of the room to go grab her purse from the bedroom. She hurried back to the living room to see Parker hadn't put his toys away and was too busy telling Chris about his day, "Parker Matthew, I just told you to put away your toys." She scolded. Parker slumped before he hurried to the other room to put his toys back in their bins, "Hi, sorry we are running late. He overslept through his nap." She explained as she gave Chris a small hug.

Sebastian smirked at her words before she spoke about going to the apartment before he was back from the gym, "Don't worry about it. I figured it was something important." He said with a wave of his hand. He had, of course, stayed longer than he anticipated at the gym because he got caught up thinking about his feelings for Sierra, and he needed to run off his frustration with himself. When he got back to see that she was gone, he was a little relieved because he needed to free his mind for the time being of her and his feelings for her, "I was actually really tired after the gym anyway, so it worked out best for everyone." He said with a smile before he took a sip of his coffee.

"That's good then. Though I will say that I did miss our post-gym/pre-work shower." Sierra said, a faint smirk tugging at the corners of her lips. Just admit it, you missed him in general too. Not just his penis. She pushed the thought to the back of her mind and sipped her coffee. She told herself that she wasn't going to acknowledge her feelings for the time being, mainly because she had no idea how to deal with them at the present time. God, she loved when he wore bomber jackets and he looked adorable when he paired it with a baseball cap or the hat that she'd dubbed his grandpa hat that she loved to incessantly tease him about. "Don must've worked you pretty hard yesterday if you were too tired to miss me." She stuck her lower lip out in a slight pout, brown eyes widening slightly as she locked eyes with him.

Chris chuckled, shaking his head when he heard Parker shouting on the other side of the door. He knew that there were probably like .2 seconds before he was ambushed. He wasn't at all surprised when the door was flung open and a flash of blonde hair was throwing all his weight at him. "Hey, buddy!" He laughed, hugging Parker as he lifted him up onto his hip. "Unca Chris!! Guess what?!" Parker began to ramble on at 100 miles a minute about his day and that was exactly what he was doing when Juliette came into view. "Listen to your mom, kiddo." He said as he set the five year old down and ruffled his hair just before he ran back inside to do as Juliette had asked. "Hey, Jules." He smiled, giving her a tight squeeze. "Don't worry about it, I'm not in a rush or anything, my only plans for the rest of the day are with you and Parker."

Juliette smiled at Chris's words, "Well I hope you don't have anything planned for early in the morning tomorrow either because Parker had mentioned earlier about a sleepover tonight and watching movies with you tonight. I would have texted you about it, but I figured I would just bring it up when I saw you." She explained. Suddenly, Parker was at her feet, "Yeah! Unca Chris! Sleepova tonight! I wanna watch Spider-Man wiff you!" Parker exclaimed as he smiled up at Chris, "I think you mean Captain America there, Kiddo." Juliette said as she ran a hand through his hair, "No! Spider-Man is a Parker too! He's my favorite superhero." Parker explained. Juliette couldn't stop herself from bursting out laughing at his words before she looked at Chris, "I mean the kid's got a point. They're both Parkers."

Sebastian smiled at her words and took a sip of his coffee, "Yeah I did miss that too." He replied. When she brought up Don, he nodded slightly with a smile, "Yeah he did. It was a hard day yesterday. I did miss you, but I was so tired when I got back, I barely stayed awake in the shower." He explained. When she stuck out her bottom lip, he smiled in response before shaking his head, "I swear you're a bigger five year old than I am half the time." He stated before he finished off his coffee, "What's on your agenda for the day?" He questioned. Their coffee dates were pretty ritual, but other than that the two of them liked to play by ear what their days were going to look like.

"Falling asleep in the shower could be dangerous. You could drown, ya know." Sierra teased, a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips. She let out a laugh at his later words. "No one could ever be a bigger five year old than you." They could definitely both act like children at times, though she liked to think that she acted a little less like one than he did. She wasn't thoroughly convinced that was the case though. "I've gotta get a few more hours in at the office, then I have a date with my bed and Parks and Rec I think, unless you have a better offer for me..."

"Well, it's a good thing my schedule's pretty much clear for the rest of the week. I'd had to miss a sleepover and movie night." Chris said. It was pretty normal for him to stay the night at Juliette's place. Parker was always asking him to stay to watch movies or read him a bedtime story, and oftentimes he even asked about sleepovers, and Chris didn't mind. He loved spending time with Parker, he was a great kid, and he treated him like he did his nephews, spoiled the crap out of him like he did his nephews too. "Spider-Man, huh? I see I don't rate anymore." He chuckled.

Juliette smiled at Chris's words and watched at how Parker's face lit up when Chris agreed to a sleepover and movie night. She knew how much her son loved Chris and spending time with him, "You rate. Just not as high as Spider-Man apparently." She replied before she smiled lightly, "I would've told you sooner, but I figured it was best if the kid told you himself. Ever since he found out that Spider-Man is a Parker, he has been all about the kid, and he just adores that Tom Holland kid. Thinks he's the greatest thing since sliced bread."

Sebastian laughed lightly at her comment before he nodded, "Yeah I know, but I felt so gross, I needed a shower." He joked with a laugh. He raised an eyebrow slightly when she asked if he had a better offer than her bed and TV, "I mean I don't know if you would consider it better. That Chris Pratt sure is something special." He teased before winking at her, "If you'd like to squeeze me into your clearly busy schedule, I would love it, but I totally understand that your bed can be super welcoming."

"Don really worked you that hard, huh?" Sierra questioned as she ran her index finger around the rim of her coffee cup. Her lower lip caught between her teeth as she looked over at him from under her lashes. She couldn't help it. He looked really fucking good in that bomber jacket and baseball cap. It was a really good combination on him. She didn't know what it was about it, it just sort of was. "Well, Chris Pratt is kind of my favorite actor from the Marvel Cinematic Universe...Peter Quill is the best Marvel character there is, hands down." A faint smirk tugged at the corners of her lips. "My schedule is pretty busy...I don't know if I could possibly manage to squeeze you in..."

Chris shook his head. "I don't know if I can even argue with that. Spider-Man is pretty cool." He said. He made a mental note to reach out to Tom and see if he could sign something for him for Parker. The kid was super nice and chill, so he really didn't see him saying no to that. He knew that something signed by Spider-Man would definitely make Parker's day. "I can't believe you'd keep that kind of information from me, Jules. I thought we were friends. The least a friend could do is tell me that her son prefers Spider-Man to Cap."

Juliette smiled at Chris's words before Parker hugged onto Chris's leg tightly, "You're pretty cool too, Unca Chris." Juliette grinned widely at her son. She was very glad that Chris had somewhat played along with agreeing that Spider-Man was cool because Parker still believed that superheroes were real, the only one she had to inform him wasn't real was Captain America because of her friendship with Chris. Slowly but surely, Parker would figure out that superheroes weren't real, but she liked his imagination to stay intact for a little while longer, "We're going to be late to dinner if we don't' hurry up. The sooner we go to dinner, the sooner we can come back and watch Spider-Man and have our sleepover." She said mainly to Parker before she picked him up and carried him out to her car, strapping Parker in his car seat before handing Chris the keys, "Don't get pulled over, Evans." Juliette stated with a smirk.

Sebastian threw a hand over his heart, pretending to be offended, "I can't believe you would say something so hurtful, Sierra. I honestly thought that I was your favorite actor in the MCU." He teased with a pout before he took a sip from his coffee cup. He wasn't really hurt, but he liked to tease her about it, "I mean I don't know, if I'm not your favorite in the MCU, I don't know if it would be worth squeezing me into your schedule. You'd probably rather have that Chris Pratt there." He said with a playful eye roll. Sebastian finished off his coffee before he looked down at the table, pretending to pout even more like the five-year-old he really was, "I might as well just cut my losses and face that I lost out to Pratt." He said before he smirked lightly at her.

"Sorry babe, Chris Pratt just has something that you don't." Sierra said, punctuating her words with a slight shrug of her shoulders as she sipped her coffee. She knew that he wasn't actually hurt, he was only teasing her, and she was doing the same to him. Chris Pratt was beautiful, there was no denying that fact, but so was the dorky man sitting across from her. And her feelings towards him honestly probably surpassed that of mere attraction."I mean, if I can't have my first choice, I might as well go for my second." She teased lightly, a small laugh escaping her lips. "Pratt isn't here, so I guess you're second best."

Chris chuckled at Parker's words and ruffled the boy's hair up a bit. "Thanks, buddy. If I can't be your favorite superhero, I can at least be your second favorite though, right?" He made a mental note to reach out to Tom soon. Maybe he could get something signed for Parker. He knew that the kid would flip out if he did because it was quite clear that Spiderman was his hero, and to even have something signed by him would probably make his day. Hell, maybe he could do one better than that, but he'd talk to Tom about it and see what he thought about possibly paying a certain blonde boy a visit. "Let's get going then. Spiderman awaits!" He punctuated his words by hoisting Parker up into his arms.

Juliette watched as Parker pretended to think about his answer before he nodded, "You're my second favwit supahero, Unca Chris, even doe I also love Groot." He replied before Chris picked him up in his arms and Parker wrapped his little ones around Chris's neck to hang on, "Wow, that's sad. You almost lost out to a tree for the second favorite." She teased Chris with a smile as she locked the door to the house and followed them to Chris's car. She grabbed Parker's car seat out of her own car before securing it in Chris's and let him buckle Parker in as she sat in the front passenger's seat.

Sebastian rolled his eyes at Sierra's words before he shook his head, "I don't know how I feel about being second best, babe. I mean sure Pratt is pretty cool, but like I'm more fun." He said and threw a wink in her direction. He knew the teasing was all in good fun, "I have a proposal. What if you make it a date with me and your bed, and then we can watch Parks and Rec together?" He suggested. Sebastian didn't care what the two of them did just as long as he was spending time with Sierra, that was all that mattered to him.
