Elkie had just finished doing her makeup for the day and was waiting on her best friend and roommate to get back from the store. When she walked in, Elkie smiled. “Tai, I’ve been waiting on you.” She said, helping her carry in the bags.

Just as she was about to speak to her friend about going to dinner later that night, her cell phone rang. It was an unknown number and usually Elkie didn’t answer those, but something inside her told to answer anyways.

“Hello?” She said as she put the phone to her ear.

Jackson was pacing the room of their hotel in a frantic hizzy. Their stylists, makeup and hair, had just quit on them out of the blue. His group, GOT7, was about to preform in two hours and they needed someone to help them.

“We need to call Elkie and Tai...last I heard they were both doing hair or makeup or something in downtown Seoul.” He said to the rest of his group.

“What if they don’t want to help us? We did kind of stop talking to them after we debuted.” Bam Bam said.

“We have no other choice, Bam! Mark, do you have Elkie’s number still? I’m sure it’s the same still..” he said, looking at his friend with hope in his eyes.

Mark frowned and bit down on his bottom lip as he thought. They had no stylists of any kind and no one knew what to do. Of course, Jackson came up with the idea of calling their old friends who they hadn’t spoken to in years to see if they could help. “If I get shat on, it’s on you,” he grumbled, pulling out his phone and scrolling through his contacts. Mark hadn’t spoken to this woman in years and he could feel his heart pounding in his chest. She had been one of his best friends and he always regretted not keeping in touch. He sighed deeply and dialed the number, putting the phone up to his ear. When she answered, he smiled. “Elkie! Hi, it’s Mark. Mark Tuan. How have you been?” He asked her casually, biting his lower lip. He had to ease into it.

Tai grunted as she carried the bags in, grinning as Elkie helped her. “Thanks,” She said, sighing in relief. “You’ve been waiting on me?” She laughed. “I hope you didn’t miss me to much.” Tai began to put everything away, actually exhausted from her shopping trip. Shopping can take so much out of a person. “Your make up looks bomb, by the way,” she complimented her friend, examining the work of art on her face. Tai didn’t have time or the energy to actually make up her face before she left the house today, so she looked like a hot mess as usual. She raised a brow when Elkie got a call, quieting down and trying to listen. She could be so nosey.

Elkie was surprised to hear Mark on the other end. “Mark, hi. It’s uh been a while...is everything okay?” She asked. She looked at Tai and mouthed ‘it’s Mark’ to her while she waited for his response.

“Fair enough.” Jackson said and then shut up whenever Mark began talking. He looked st him with hopeful eyes. “Is she going to come?” He whispered.

Mark waved Jackson away, getting up and beginning to walk around. He didn’t need Jackson up his ass and trying to listen to what was going on. It wasn’t like he could just ask her to help them after not talking for god only knows how long. But when she asked if everything was okay, he wasn’t sure what to tell her, because everything wasn’t okay. “Uh... well, I was wondering if you and Tai were still stylists?” He asked her, running a hand through his hair. “Our hair and makeup stylists walked out on us and we have a show in maybe 2 hours, give or take. I’m so sorry I haven’t kept in touch, but we really need you right now.” Mark really hoped that they pulled through for them. If Elkie said no then he wasn’t sure what he would do.

Tai raised a brow, her eyes widening when she said that it was mark. “No way!” She said, covering her mouth. Hearing of Mark instantly make her think of Jackson and she wondered if he was there with Mark right now. Tai was almost certain that they had a show to tonight, so she wondered why they were calling Elkie. After all this time, why now? She sighed softly and continued to put things away, not wanting to think about it. It was probablg just an innocent check up call and there was nothing to worry about.

“Um wow. Hang on, let me talk to Tai really quick.” Elkie said as she put Mark on mute. “They want to know if we’re still doing hair and makeup. Their hair and makeup girls quit all of a sudden and they have a show soon and are in desperate need of our help. Should we do it?” Elkie asked Tai. She would honestly feel bad if they didn’t so she hoped Tai would say yes.

Jackson looked over. “What did they say?” He asked as he chewed on his fingernails. He looked at the time, they had about two hours before showtime. This whole thing was nerve wrecking.

Mark looked up at Jackson and shrugged. “Nothing yet,” he told the other man. “She’s taking to Tai.” Mark sighed as he waited, really hoping that Tai didn’t say no. They really needed those girls to come through for them. Mark also really wanted to see Elkie and this was the best opportunity ever.

Tai furrowed her brow as she listened to Elkie. “They want us? Are they crazy?” She said with a shake of her head. “That’s kind of major for a last minute thing. Maybe they should find someone else,” she murmured, not exactly their biggest fan. Mark and Jackson left her and Elkie high and dry when they finally made it big. Tai looked over at Elkie and sighed at the look on her face. “Alright, I guess we can come to their rescue.”

“We’ll just do it this one time and then tell them they need to find someone else.” Elkie said before getting back on the phone. “Mark? We’ll do it. But we’re only going to do it this one time and then you guys will have to find someone else.” She explained.
