Freya smiled as he watched them. "Yes, once he sleeps through the night things will get much easier." She laughed a little. Maxwell gurgled as his father took him into his arms, giggling as he waved his little hands in the air. For a baby born so early he was incredibly healthy, and although he was on the smaller size it was obvious that he'd grow to be a strong healthy boy.

Rowan smiled, and cradled his son carefully. He continued to play with lightly. "Alright, go take some time for yourself, I'll look after Maxwell," he said softly. He looked at Freya, "this afternoon, we'll take that bath together aye?" he said softly.

Freya smiled as she watched the two of them, pressing a loving kiss to his lips. "I don't know what I'd do with time to myself.. I'd rather just sit here and watch you two." She admitted with a smile, watching her husband and son lovingly. She was glad that Rowan seemed to enjoy having a family, even though it was so different from the life he lived before.

Rowan grinned, "well that is okay, but if you want to do anything feel free," he said softly. He continued to play with Maxwell, until the infant began to tire out and drifted off to sleep. Rowan then sat back rocking him gently.

Freya smiled as she watched them, just enjoying being outside in the sunlight while they played. "You're a wonderful father, Rowan.. I'm surprised you never had children or a wife before now." She said, resting her head against his shoulder as she looked lovingly down at their son. "He looks like you, you know."

Rowan looked over at her, "My life was too violent for a child, no child should have to see what I've seen of humanity," he said softly. He chuckled, "really, poor bugger," he teased.

"There must have been other women, in any case, even if they weren't your wives." Freya pointed out, nudging him playfully when he teased. "Stop it. He's perfect, just like his father." She smiled, pressing a gentle kiss to his lips.

Rowan kissed her back lightl, "I didn't meet a woman who saw through what I was, until you," he told her. He reached down and laced his fingers with hers. "Shall we see if we can get away for that bath while he sleeps?" he suggested.

Freya smiled and nodded, giving his hand a squeeze before taking Maxwell back into her arms while they walked inside. They'd learned quickly that he tended to sleep longer when his mother put him in his cot, and she hoped that this time would be no different. While Freya was putting the baby to bed she had Rowan preparing the bath for them and once it was ready she happily discarded her clothes before slipping into the tub, letting out a content sigh.

Rowan ran a nice warm bath for them, he had gathered some clean clothes for the pair of them, and was waiting for her to join him. He watched as she stripped and smiled, "oh my, still breath taking," he commented. He moved over towards the tub, stripping off himself. He climbed in with her, running his hands over her lightly.

Freya blushed at his comment, making room for him in the tub before settling between his legs once he was seated, laying with her back against his chest as she enjoyed the hot water. When she felt his hands running over her skin she giggled a bit, but swatted his hands away. "I had a baby a few weeks ago, Rowan. It's too soon to be intimate. Besides, you know what the doctor said." She warned with a little sigh. Maxwell's birth had been rough, for both mother and child, but had turned out fortunate. The doctor, however, had warned that future births would not be as lucky, and suggested that they avoid another pregnancy at all costs. After all, they had a son, an heir, and as long as he was healthy, they didn't need anymore children.

Rowan smiled lightly, and kissed the back of her neck. "I know," he said softly. He gently ran his hand over her breast, "How are you feeling my love?" he asked her. He was hoping that she was beginning to feel better. He settled into the water relaxing, glad to be spending time alone with her agian.

Freya sighed as she curled into his arms, humming a little as his hand brushed over her breast. They were still sensitive, but not nearly as much as before Maxwell had been born, as the infant had a healthy appetite. "I'm tired. Taking care of a baby isn't easy, but it wouldnt be right to give him to a wetnurse."

Rowan nodded and relaxed back into the tub. "Yeah I know, I'm sorry you have to get up to him all the time," he said softly. He pinced one of her nipples lightly, "But I don't exactly, have the necessary toys," he teased softly.

Freya was happily relaxing, her eyes closed as she dozed in the warm water, although her eyes shot open and she gasped when he pinched her nipple, turning to swat at him. "Rowan Nightfell, you are a scoundrel and are up to no good." She gave him a warning look, although her eyes gave away that she was teasing.

Rowan chuckled and kissed her neck, "sorry my love, I just can't help myself," he teased. He shifted his hands down, massaging her legs lightly. "Come on relax, I will behave myself," he promised her.

Freya let out a long sigh as he kissed her neck, her eyes closing once more as she settled back down between his legs, although she was now laying so that her chest was pressed to his, her head resting comfortably against his shoulder. "You never behave yourself... Why do you think we had to be married after I had already gone into labor?" She teased with a smile, curling into his arms.

Rowan sighed weakly, holding onto her tightly. "I would argue, that you were just as at fault for that as me," he teased. He ran a hand down to her wetness, "I seem to recall you love when I tease you," he said lightly. He closed his eyes, relaxing, "Not that I'm complaining," he said.

Freya nuzzled her nose into his neck, shuddering faintly as she felt his hand on her wetness. "It's not my fault that I fell in love with the first man I ever met who wasn't another prince or a king or a lord or a diplomat. And who treated me like a normal woman instead of a princess." She sighed, curling into his arms contently.

Rowan nodded softly, "I know my love," he said gently. He held her tightly, his hand rubbing her gently. "So I am curious actually my love," he said softly.
