Ariana frowned slightly as he pulled her close, gently brushing his arm off her and taking a step back. "Oh um, I'm sorry if I gave you the wrong idea Stan... That's not why I'm here" she said softly, he cheeks flushing red.

Stanley smiled gently, "No of course not, sorry Ariana," he said lightly. He stepped back, "shall I finish the tour, then you can get out of here," he said softly. He was blushing red slightly, embarrassed by his forwardness, he usually wasn't this affectionate with people, but she was so beautiful.

Ariana rubbed the back of her neck softly before nodding "sure that sounds good" she told him softly, taking a step away her face flushing. She felt bad that she couldn't give him what he wanted but she just didn't feel right about making money for that. Ari had never understood why that's where she drew the line, but she had stick firm with it and hoped to not change that.

Stanley smiled softly, and continued leading her around the office. When they made it back to his office he smiled softly, "thanks for coming in, today was pretty stressful," he said softly. He looked her over, she really was beautiful, even when she dressed down.

"I hope you really learn something while you help out," he said.

Ariana extended her arm and gave his shoulder a little squeeze. "No need to thank me, it's what I'm here for" she told him with a kind smile, her gaze dropping to the the floor as she felt his eyes look over her, a slight blush rising in her cheeks. "I hope so too.. actually I'm going to have to get some papers to you tomorrow to sign for my professor.. I'm going to get credit for any of the stuff you sign off on" she told him with a smile.

She slowly began to gather her things from the chair in his office before stopping in front of him. "I'll see you Monday Stan" she told him, before standing up on her tip toes and placing a gentle kiss against his lips.

Stanley smiled lightly, "well that is awesome, happy to sign off whatever you need," he said softly. He watched her as she gathered her things. "Yes, see you Monday, I'm sure you will do well," he said lightly. He blushed as she kissed his cheek.

He walked her out of the building, struggling to keep his hands off of her, but he managed. He paused at the door, "Are you still happy to spend time with me in the evenings, while you work here, or would you rather give that a pause?" he asked her.

Ari smiled sweetly as she noticed his cheeks flushing and ran a hand through her hair softly. "I hope I will... And I hope I don't let you down. You've stuck a limb out for me. I'm very grateful" she told him while re-asjusting her bag on her shoulder.

She stopped at the door, turning to face him as he began talking and nodded softly. "Yes I'm still happy to... I may not be able to give you the full 5 hours though.. I do still have some other work to get done and some uh- other things" she added kindly.

Stanley nodded, "yes of course, that's fine, I enjoy any time that I get to spend with you," he said softly. He looked at her, "If you ever need a hand with any thing, please don't hesitate to ask," he said softly. "I'll see you Monday," he said softly.

Stanley had figured she either had a mother she had to look after, or was a mother herself, with how often she needed to be home early, and how worried she seemed sometimes. However he wanted her to tell him, in her own time.

Ariana nodded with a gentle smile, checking her watch quickly. "See you Monday" she added and began walking towards her car, rooting in her bag for the keys to her car. She couldn't help but notice the look he had given her as she went to leave, as if he knew more about her than she thought. She hoped it wasn't true.

She sighed softly beginning to unlock her car, feeling the tiredness beginning to wash over her.

Stanley headed back to his office, to tidy up a little before he would head home himself. He packed away the mess from dinner, and then tidied up some of the files.

He was glad she seemed so cheerful now, and was happy he could help her gain some experience.

Ariana spent the weekend getting prepared, wanting to make the best impression she possibly could when she went in to the offices on Monday. She decided to take some of the money Stan had given her out of the savings account to purchase a few outfits that would look professional enough. Once Sunday night rocked around she blow-dried her hair sleekly and made sure that both her and Sophia got early nights to be well prepared.

Stanley spent the weekend at the office, finishing printing out all the paperwork, and locating all the relevant files, for the investigation. He needed to figure out what happened, and why some of his companies were suddenly losing money.

By Sunday night, he'd prepared everything, and spoken with the Lawyers, about how the intern was a student that needed to be exposed to more than just the menial stuff.

After dropping Sophia off at her daycare, Ariana speeded towards Stanley's offices, wanting to ensure she got there a couple minutes early to not give a bad first impression. She quickly fixed her hair and make-up in her car mitrpr- which she had parked as far from the entrance as possible hoping nobody would see her heap of junk car. Once she felt ready she sauntered in to the building and up to Stanley's floor.

Ari could feeling the eyes following her as she walked, the clear fresh meat. She hoped she didn't stand out too much.. had her outfit choice been a but much? She tried to push the self doubt to the back of her mind and confidently walked up to the receptionist introducing herself and making it known she was here.

Stanley hadn't made it into work yet. He had been very vague with his staff about Ari, simply telling them, he'd recieved an email from a law student wanting to know if she could get some work experience. He had made it seem like he didn't know her at all. Like she wanted it to seem like.

The receptionist smiled at her lightly, "Mr Penbrooke isn't in yet, but you are welcome to head up to the tenth floor conference room, that is were the Audit is being done," she said softly. "I'll let him, know you've headed up, once he gets in," she added.

Ariana nodded softly with a smile "tenth floor conference room, great thank you" she echoed and made her way over to the elevator and headed towards the room as if she hadn't been shown the way just a few days ago. She could feel the nervousness beginning to fill her stomach as she heard voices coming from inside and she took a brief moment to compose herself.

Once she was ready, Ari knocked on the door and walked in,greeting each man with a wide smile. "Good morning, I'm Ariana. I'm here to help out as much as I can" she introduced herself.

Stanley was running a little late this morning. He came into work and was pleased to hear that the new intern had headed upstairs.

The group of lawyers looked up, when she walked in. "ah good morning, Ariana, nice to meet you," one of them said. He moved over to shake her hand. "So are you aware of what we are having to do here, for Mr Penbrooke?" he asked lightly.

Ariana shook his hand firmly and nodded, pushing her blonde hair back off of her shoulder. "Yes he uh- briefed me in an email, I'm to comb through everything after you guys have and just make sure everything is accounted for yes?" She double checked with a soft smile. She knew she was a glorified Secretary, just making sure everything went back in the right order, but at least it looked good on her transcript.

"Shall I take this box and get started?" She offered kindly.

The Lawyer chuckled softly, "It's a little more involved than that," he said softly. He moved over to the rest of the group, inviting her to follow.

"So apparently the Director thinks the CFO is stealing money from not only this company, but potentially some of his other companies," he began. He looked around the group, "he wants us to go over all the records and accounts, and figure out what is happening, then compile what his legal options are," he explained.

Stanley made his way to the conference room, and let himself in. "Ahh good you made it," he said to the group. He smiled, "So take as long as you need, I just need to know what's going on," he said. He sighed looking at his Lawyer, "So you're billing it to me personally, and are just telling the staff it's a normal tax audit?" he asked.

Ari tried her best to hide the smile on her face as she looked at the man "you're letting me get that involved?" She asked excitedly, shaking her head softly for a moment realising she had just lost all of her professionalism. "Okay great, sorry I just assumed I'd be sorting the files after you were finished with them" she added with a Curt smile, turning to face the door as she noticed the other doing. She smiled at Stan gratefully before taking a step forward. "Thank you so much for having me Mr.Penbrooke, I'm Ariana Miller" she told him gently before stepping back again.

She scratched the back of her neck gently as she watched him speak to his lawyer, her eyebrows furrowing a little as she listened in to what she could.

The Lawyer nodded, "Yes of course, we can't have him figuring out we are on to him, he could disappear," he explained. He looked over at Ariana, "Come on lets make a start," he said.

Stanley smiled, "Nice to meet you Ms Miller, glad you're here to help," he said. He looked back at the rest of the team, "Okay I'll leave you to it," he said before leaving the room.
