Run baby run

Alissa blew a breath out and pushed a little harder on the gas. 'Almost home' She thought, 'Just gotta go see James.' She turned a corner a little harder than necessary and smirked at the sound of rubber burning. If there was one thing Alissa liked it was driving, but coming back into the city now she couldn't go half as crazy as she'd like. She turned another corner, getting pretty close to the check in house.
Alissa looked at the girl she considered to be one of her best friends, " Are you ready to get this run over with?" She thought for a second then added on, "Maybe we could go get some drinks or something?"

Brian wasn't having the best of days and usually when that happened people tended to stay out of the way or pay the consequences. Today however Matt had other ideas. There were some runners a couple hours away that were doing the best in the state, and he wanted to meet them.
So instead of practicing with his gun or something that had nothing to do with other people he found himself sitting in a dingy room, Matt and a couple others around him, and an equally dingy man fidgeting in the corner.
"When exactly will your runners be here?" He barked after another couple minutes.
The man muttered something about anytime, making Brian sigh and lean back in his chair.

Blair looked out the window as Alissa took the turn really sharp. She had gotten use to her friends crazy driving over the last few years. She looked over, "Yes, I am ready for this to be over." She said. She just wanted to relax for a little bit. They had been running drugs for one of the notorious gangs in the area and she was surprised at how well it paid. She smiled when Alissa mentioned drinks, "Absolutely, I could go for a nice cold beer." She said. She watched as they pulled up to the abandoned warehouse and got out of the car. She ran her fingers through her hair as they walked towards the building. She walked inside, noticing it was oddly quiet.

Matt frowned as he stood there with his arms crossed as they waited for these runners to show up. He was getting impatient and he could tell that Brian was as well. If it was one thing that they shared it was that they liked to have things their way. He looked over as he heard a car pull up to the warehouse. "You are lucky they showed up." He said to the guy. He waited as he heard footsteps coming down the hallway. "How nice of you to show up." He said as the first girl walked in. He liked the shocked look on her face. He had always liked the way his presence surprised others.

Alissa jumped out of the car a large grin on her face, almost done. She practically ran around to the front of the warehouse and through the front door. That more than just James was inside threw her for a loop and for a split second she let the suprise cover her face, but just as quickly her face hardened.
"Who the fuck are you," she demanded, inching her hand slowly to the gun the rested in the waistband of her jeans.
At least he's hot she though looking up at the large man. At least I if I I die, when I get to hell I can tell them Adonis killed me.

Brian got out of the seat a smirk on his face, these little women were not at all what he expected. He dismissed the blonde immediately and focused on on the girl with dark hair. Neither looked like they could hurt a fly, no wonder they had done so well, the police had probably waved them through with a smile.
"The question isnt who we are but why we're here." He stated smirk never leaving his face.
He lived for the fear, for the respect, for the recognition.

Matt chuckled when he watched her reach for her gun. "Really? You think you can shoot me?" He asked, laughing. He shook his head, "I'm the one that pays you dollface" He said as he crossed his arms. He smirked as Brian spoke between them.

Blair looked at the guys, knowing they werent from the area. She was very small for someone in the business. She was 5'1 and even shorter than Alissa. She knew how to take someone down though. She rolled her eyes as the muscular guy spoke, "Ew...did you just call her doll face. I think I threw up a little." She said, seeing him glare at her. She looked at the dark haired man and crossed her arms. "Good point. Why are you here?" She asked, looking at him, watching his every move.

Alissa jerked her hand from her gun and glared at him, "What are you a 1920's mob boss, I was only gonna shoot you if you made me, and that's still debatable."
Her mouth always got her in trouble and she knew it, but at the same time the words just popped out before she could take them back. She wasn't really sure who this guy was other than he was above James and stuff this point she was only hoping for just above him. She shifted her feet restlessly and stared at him hard.

'Oh my fucking God,' Brian thought, ' This is just to great.'
He took a couple of steps towards the girls, stopping right before them.
"Short answer is because we want to be and generally that's enough of a reason. Long answer... Still beacuse we want to be. So listen, why don't you sit down and we can talk about it.'
He gestured to the chairs and sat himself back into one, legs crossed uncaring.

(Same for me.)

Matt laughed at her response, "You're funny." He teased her before he sat down and crossed his arms. He raised an eyebrow as he waited for them to sit down. "I'm the one that pays you." He informed them, seeing the girl look surprised. "I know you didnt think you would actually see me in person." He teased her.

Blair looked at him when he said to sit, "No thanks. I'm fine standing." She said. She wasnt about to take orders from some guy who thought he was the boss of her. She looked at the other guy said he was the one that paid them. She thought that was very unlikely.

Alissa shook her head and turned to James completely ignoring the two guys, " James who are these guys."
She had to stare him down a minute before he even replied the coward, "The big bosses Alissa," the way he said it the fear was evident in his voice. Definitely a coward.
Not one to be pushed around Alissa glared at the ceiling and sat down, waiting for whatever the fuck they wanted, which clearly couldn't be that bad as she and Blair were still alive.
"I need that fucking drink B.'

Brian was actually enjoying himself, it wasnt often he was in the company of someone who didn't know who he was and the scraping could get a little grating.
"Alright ladies, I am Synyster Gates, and that man right there is M. Shadows. Ever heard of us? If not let me break it down for you. Shadows is the man you don't want to piss off, he's the boss, ya get it yet."
He looked over at the dark haired girl, "Now clearly we are here for a pleasant visit. You girls are actually good and we would like to help us out in a different way. So what do you say.'

Blair looked at him when he mentioned helping then out in a different way. "I think I want pizza and beer that was promised to me....Alissa." She said, looking at her friend. She watched as James looked at her, "What? You're telling me no one else would like beer and pizza?" She asked, glancing around.

Zacky leaned against the wall, "That does down good." He said, looking at Brian and Matt.

Matt watched as Brian explained and sighed when the girls mentioned food and beer. He looked at Brian, "What do you think Syn?" We can explain more while we eat." He said, chuckling. Clearly the girls were going to be difficult to convince.

Brian thought about it for a moment and nodded, the usual way they convinced people was clearly not going to work. "Well fuck let's go then, this grimy place clearly isn't doing us any favours."
He stood up from his chair, cracking his back as he went, being slow just because he could.
" Hey Jamie boy, how about you go work on finding a couple new runners, " he said not even looking at the man. Maybe it was time to replace him he didn't seem to have a back bone, what if the cops came knocking.

Alissa could kiss her friend she was so happy to get out of the room they we're currently in . " So we're all agreed yeah?" She said with a grin.
Alissa looked at her friend, "Rousseau's down near the hardware store?'
She didn't really have to ask it was tradition after every run, but she did every time. Plus she figured if Blair didn't have a good feeling about this then they could cut there losses and get out. No way anyone would be able to follow her if she really tried to get away.

Blair nodded, "Of course." She said as she walked out beside of Alissa. She didnt know how she felt about the two guys. She walked hearing them walk close behind them. She opened the passenger car and looked at the guys, realizing how much taller they actually were than her. "Follow us." She said before she got in and shut the door. She looked at Alissa once they started towards the restuarant. "Do you think these guys are really who they say they are?" She asked.

Matt walked with Brian and for in the car, following Alissa, "I dont know if these girls are worth it man. They look so fucking weak and I dont know if they can handle what we need them for." He said as they pulled up to the parking lot. He for out and walked inside with them.

Alissa wasn't sure what to think, but she wasn't about to tell Blair that. "I think if they aren't they are going through a lot of work to steal two random runners from Avenged."
They walked in the restaurant and Alissa immediately headed for the bar, first and foremost she needed a little bit of strength.
"Give me a double of something strong."
She slapped a twenty on the counter threw back the shot and then made her way to the table. Now she was in a mind set to listen for a moment.

Brian shrugged noncommittally sure they could have spades of luck, but 2 years of running and not one misstep well the luck should have run out long ago.
"I don't know man, the blonde was ready to pull a gun on you. I'm not saying they can hang but let's test them. Could be two players no one would suspect."
He sat himself at a decently sized table, and when the waitress came ordered a couple pizzas and beers.

Blair nodded then sat down at the table with these guys. If they were who they say they were then they were the most dangerous guys in California. She poured herself a beer out of the pitcher and took a swig of it. "So what brings you guys down this way. Dont you normally stay in one place?" She asked them after they ordered some pizza and wings.

Matt sat at the table, taking a drink of his beer when Alissa returned to the table. "We are here for you two. I need you to come up and run some stuff for me in our city." He said. He always called it their city because it pretty much was. Everyone was terrified of them.

"No guys up to the job in your city?" Alissa asked with a smirk. They definitely had power or the illusion of it. But it actually sounded like it could be fun, something new and all that. She picked up a napkin and began ripping it up and balling up the pieces. A habit she had for as long as she could remember. "What would this entail exactly." She asked looking at Shadows. She could honestly care less at this point as long as Blair was on board.

Brian took a bite of pizza and chewed slowly, taking the chance to observe the girls in front of him. Just the fact that they were sitting here like with friends was something.
"Right so the first thing I'm gonna ask are your names?" He said looking at the dark haired girl.
"But as for our city, pretty much the same as here, but more money."

Matt looked at the girl next to him, "You'll be doing the same thing you are doing down here. Just more product and a lot more money." He explained to her. He smirked as she watched him. "And slightly more risky." He added.

Blair took a bite of her pizza, then looked at Synster as she thought about it. "I'm Blair this is Alissa." She said pointing to her friend. "I feel like you two really arent telling us everything though." She said as she grabbed a wing.

Her napkin was completely demolished she noted with a slight bit of dismay. "What exactly does slightly more risky mean, cause if it was only slightly I don't think it would be worth mentioning. Also more product at one time or more trips? Do ya think we could could a legit run down?" She grabbed another napkin out of the case and started over.
"Blair you feel like driving when we leave," Alissa asked with a smile. If so another shot was due.

Brian finished his beer and poured another one.
"It's pretty simple honestly you run around the city where we need you to go, deliver the same kind of packages, and get more money at the end of the day." He said with a grin, knowing he hadnt actually answered anything. It was more risky because it was harder people, and more eyes on them but really, wouldn't that be obvious.

Matt looked at her, "Its a little of both. A few more trips and more product." He said, finished his beer. He got another and looked at her, "I mean if you don't feel up to it then we can look elsewhere if you arent capable." He said, smirking.

Blair nodded when Alissa asked if she would drive. She looked over at Syn, "Sounds very vague to me." She said, looking at him. She knew how people were in the business. They could be very back stabbing and if these guys were the baddest of the bad, then they werent going to tell the truth.

Alissa smirked right on back, "Yeah I have no doubt we could handle whatever you've got to throw at us, however jumping into the unknown could get you killed in this business. Now if you'll excuse me for just a second."
She got up and headed back to the bar for another shot.

"Oh it's very vague and also very on purpose, but really you just have to either commit to not knowing everything right now, and maybe never knowing everything, but making money, or walking away." Brian told her suddenly getting serious. It had become grating, for them to not take the offer they had so graciously laid out. But at the same time he kind of understood that it was very new to them.

Matt watched as Alissa walked away then looked at Blair. He knew that if they both didnt agree the other one would go along with it. "Look your pay will be twice what you are making now." He said. "Simple as that you either take or leave it because I'm losing my patience." He said as Alissa came back.

Blair sighed as she noticed the guys getting impatient. She looked at her friend, "Fine I will do it but I better not get fucked over." She said before she finished her beer.

Alissa nodded her consent, "Can we at least know when we're expected up there and how often."
She was feeling pretty tipsy after that last shot and was just ready to get this over with. "On second thought here's my number," she said grabbing a napkin and scribbling it out, she pushed it towards Shadows then continued, "Just like text me the details or something it's like way past time to go home."
Alissa gave Blair a look then marched out the front door and went around the side of the building. She lit a cigarette and enjoyed the feeling of the smoke running down her throat.

Brian watched the first girl exit with a bit of shock, they were usually the ones doing the dismissing and he was almost certain Shadows wouldn't care for it. Shrugging he got up and turned to Blair, "Well dollface looks like we'll be seeing a lot of each other around.
He turned around and headed to the doors and wasted no time getting to the truck. It was time to get out of this backwater county and home where the real shit took place.
