Walking into the lecture hall, Cassandra glanced around before moving into a seat in the middle of the room. She relaxed against the back of the chair, beginning to pull up her notes on her laptop. It had been a few months of this and Cassandra felt like she was finally getting the hang of being in University. Things tended to be a little more loose here but the subject material was definitely more intense than she had been expecting. But she knew if she kept working on it, that she would get the grade she wanted at the end of the semester.

Once she was set up, Cassandra started to look around the room. There were still a few minutes before class, and she always liked to see what the others were up to. It was still so odd that the class was filled with people from every grade. Now, it was impossible to tell who was a Freshman like her versus someone who was a Junior or a Senior. But she did notice that the Seniors tended not to show up for class...

Matthew walked in to class and sat behind Cassandra like he always did. The truth was he always found her beautiful, wanting to ask her out. His friend Tyler always gave him shit for it. There were rumors that Cassandra was a prude which didn't bother him at all. He realized he was staring so he quickly looked down to get out his laptop for class when Tyler showed up. "Dude you have to ask her out" Tyler mused in a whisper. Matthew shook his head, hoping that Cassandra didn't hear. "I will" he whispered.

Cassandra continued to turn her head, looking around the room as she watched everyone come in. Eventually, her head turned back to the two men behind her. A smile moved across her face as she looked up at him before slowly looking past him to see the others in the room. College was definitely much better than high school but there were a lot of odd things about it. Once her eyes moved to the end of the flood of incoming people, she turned back around and looked up at the front of the room, where the professor was now walking in. Class was going to start soon.

Matthew smiled when Cassandra turned around. He was going to ask her out today, for himself not because his friend wouldn’t shut up about it. He then got out a piece of paper and wrote. Hey can we talk after class?. He slid it to her without any one noticing. “Old school” Tyler said with a laugh. Matthew just shook his head as he got his book and everything on the computer ready for class.

Cassandra was surprised when the man behind her had slid a note to her. She was even more surprised with what the note said. Why would he want to talk to her? Though, nonetheless, Cassandra turned her head and nodded to Matthew, agreeing to see him. She was curious as to what he would say to her. With that decided, the girl then turned her head back to the front of the room as the professor started lecture.

Matthew waited silently for an answer and smiled when she turned around and nodded. He was glad that he was going to get to speak with her. He hoped that he wouldn't screw this up, wanting to get to know her over dinner. Once class started he wasn't able to focus, writing notes from the lecture but he kept checking the clock. He couldn't wait until after class.

As class ended, everyone around them started to pack up their things and head out of the lecture room. Cassandra did the same thing, but instead of leaving, she turned around to the man behind her. His request had been buzzing in the back of her mind and she couldn't help but be curious. Why did he want to talk to her? Maybe he needed her notes or wanted help with rhe subject. "You wanted to talk to me?" Cassandra asked him curiously.

Matthew put his things up when class ended. A smile appeared when Cassandra turned around to look at him. “Yes I did. I was wondering if you wanted to get some coffee? Maybe study?” He asked, hoping she would say yes to spending time with him. He had been wanting to ask her out for awhile.

A little smile came along Cassandra's face as Matthew spoke. Oh, this was much better than asking for a study buddy... Or at least the way the man made it sound, he wasn't exactly looking for a tutor but wanted to talk to her. "Yes, that would be nice." Cassandra said. While she didn't know anything about him, he was rather cute. Plus, a cup of coffee couldn't hurt. "My name is Cassandra, it is nice to meet you."

Matthew smiled at Cassandra. He was relieved to hear that she would have coffee with him. “I’m Mathew. It’s nice to meet you too” he said as his smile grew. “Is now a good time?” He then asked her.

Cassandra looked down at her phone for a moment as she thought about her schedule for the day. She did have some time before she had to head off to the dorm... Looking up at Matthew, Cassandra smiled and nodded. "Yes it is." She said as she grabbed the rest of her things so they could head out.

Matthew smiled as he grabbed his bag. “Alright” he said as he walked out of the classroom with Cassandra, heading towards the coffee place on campus. He was trying to think of what to say to her. “So what do you like to do in your free time?” He asked her, wanting to get to know her more.

She ran her hand through her hair, moving the strands behind her ear as she smiled up at the man. "Oh, I like to draw." Cassandra said with a warm smile. "That and play games. How about you? What do you like to do in your free time?" Her hand went up, moving onto the straps of her backpack as they continued to walk through the campus. "Which coffee shop are we going to?"

Matthew smiled as he listened. “I like to paint” he said as they walked towards a Starbucks that happened to be on campus. “Starbucks if that’s okay since the other one is closed” he said. He really didn’t go to Starbucks unless he had to. “What is your favorite kind of music?”” He then asked as they got closer to the Starbucks. Once they were there, he opened the door for her.

"Thank you," Cassandra said as Matthew opened up the door for her. She walked in, looking around the coffee shop before she found a table off in the corner. The woman headed over to it and slid into the booth side before her head lifted back up and her eyes met his. "To be honest, I mostly just listen to whatever is on the top 100 of Spotify." Cassandra said as she moved her hands into her lap. "And painting is interesting. Anything you are currently working on?"

Matt smiled as he walked in with her and sat down across from him. “Yeah actually a pretty big abstract peice. You could come over and look at it if you would like” he said. He then heard their order being called, he got up and got their coffees before returning to the table.
