Aislin chewed on her lip when she heard Katia's question. "I'm not sure, sweetie. Luke is a busy man," she said gently, stroking through Katia's hair gently, though she listened to Luke quietly, tense, worried, until she heard him say that it was incredible. Lifting her gaze to him, she watched him, blinking at the sight of the tears in his eyes, and she smiled weakly. "Yeah, really." She nodded slightly and chewed on her lip for a moment, "She is. She's just... God, she's amazing, Luke. Every day, she does something new that reminds me of you, or even her personality is frighteningly close to yours." She laughed quietly with the thought, ducking her head as she toyed with her daughter's fingers. She shook her head, though, her expression dropping a bit. "I wouldn't have wanted that. I wouldn't have wanted things just to work out because of my pregnancy at the time. That wouldn't have been fair to either of us, especially with your career taking off. And it definitely wouldn't have been fair to her."
Rosie grinned slightly to her Mama's words, watching for a moment before she shifted a bit. "Can Michael come home with us so you can put the polka dot bow on him, Mama?" she asked with curiosity.
Michael swore, in that moment, he'd never felt so much joy, so much excitement and wonder and amazement in his life. His chest felt like it was overflowing with love for their daughter already, and it wasn't even surprising, because she was such an adorable and amazing little girl. "I'm still in shock," he said quietly, his grin never leaving though, his eyes wide with excitement as he dropped his gaze to their daughter, taking her in, amazed by her very existence. He chewed on his lip, though, looking to Enaia, his expression softening. "God, Enaia, I'm sorry. I'm sorry you had to go through all of this alone. That you had to raise her on your own, that I wasn't there. I wish, more than anything, that I'd fought for you, for us, back then. I should have and I know that and, da -" He made a face but refocused. "I've never regretted anything more in my life than letting you go." Especially now, with knowing this. His expression lifted, though, his grin returning. "Yeah?" He felt his heart swelling with the thought. "I'm betting she's a troublemaker, then." He grinned teasingly. "She probably gets all her amazing personality traits from her Mom."
