Kendra drove to her house and got out. She smiled as she looked at Dean, seeing how nervous he was. “It will be okay” she said before walking towards the front door. She knew Dean was right behind her. Once she opened the door and walked in, Henry came running. “Mommy!” He yelled happily as he ran to his mother. Kendra smiled and knelt down, picking him up. “Hey handsome” she said as she kissed his cheek. “Did you miss mommy” she asked as the toddler hugged her tightly. Henry nodded and didn’t let go of his mom. “Thank you again for watching him” Kendra told the babysitter before Henry down. “Go say bye” she told him and Henry ran to Ashley to say goodbye, giving hugs. Kendra looked at Dean as he watched their son. “What are you thinking?” She then asked softly.

Dean took a deep breath before following Kendra to her house. He hesitated before walking into the house after Kendra. Seeing Henry run to Kendra, Dean’s breath caught in his throat. It was shocking to him, of course he hadn’t really had time to process it all. The sudden reality and seeing Henry in front of him, it was amazing. Dean looked over at Kendra, “I can’t believe it.” He smiled slightly, “Its amazing, really.”

Kendra smiled as she watched Henry run back to her. She said bye to Ashley as she picked up Henry. Once Ashley left, she looked at Henry who was looking at Dean. “Henry. This is Dean” she said softly. Henry watched Dean closely. “Hi Dean” he said cutely with a wave. She knew she was going to have to tell Henry that Dean was his father. “Remember the picture I showed you of your dad recently” she asked Henry which Henry nodded. “Dean is your dad” she then added. Henry got excited and reached for Dean happily.

Dean couldn’t help smiling as he listened to Kendra tell Henry who he was. Seeing the little boy reach for him, Dean took him into his arms, “Hi.” He laughed softly, looking at Henry. It was still shocking to him that he was standing there holding his son.

Kendra smiled as she watched them. Happy tears filled her eyes. She should have called sooner but the important thing that Dean knew now. Henry studied his father as he held onto him tightly. He was so happy to have Dean holding him.

Dean couldn’t believe it as he held Henry close. He had really loved Kendra and she was always on his mind, ever since he had left. Knowing they had Henry, Dean would have to figure out someway to bond with him. Dean smiled as he looked at Henry and thenat Kendra, “I cant believe it, this is amazing.”

Kendra smiled more. “I know it’s crazy” she said as she sat her things down. “Do you want a beer?” She then asked as she walked towards the kitchen, knowing she could use one. Henry was studying his dad which was he did anytime he met someone. “Daddy” he then said with a large smile.

“A beer would be great,” Dean smiled over at Kendra as he watched her walk into the kitchen. Hearing Henry call him daddy, Dean looked at him, “Yeah bud?” All he could think about was the fact that with Henry, he was going have to find a way to stick around. The last thing Dean wanted to do was leave Henry thinking he would never come back. When Kendra came back, Dean looked at her, “I want to figure this out, I want to be here for Henry...”

Kendra walked out with two beers. She handed him one before sitting down next to him. “Sounds good to me” she said as she watched their son. Henry was showing Dean his cars he played with. She opened her beer and took a drink. Thoughts running through her mind, wondering if Dean still wanted to be with her.

Dean took the beer before turning his attention back to Henry. He couldn’t help smiling as Henry showed him each car. Dean took a sip of his beer, thinking of the best way he could make it work, not just with Henry but with Kendra also.

Kendra smiled as she watched them. She took another sip of her beer as she looked over at Dean, wondering what was going on in his mind. Her attention was then grabbed by Henry who was yawning and rubbing his eyes. “Alright little man it’s time for bed” she said. Henry protested and climbed up next to dean, hugging him. “Henry come on. Daddy will be here when you wake up so say goodnight” she said.

Seeing Henry yawn and rub his eyes, Dean couldn’t help smiling a little. He gave Henry a hug when he climbed up next to him, “I’ll be here in the morning, I promise.” Dean leaned down and kissed his head, “Go ahead and get some sleep, I love you little man.”

Kendra smiled as she watched Dean interact with their son. It melted her heart, he was so good with Henry already. “Love you too” Henry said before going to his mom. Kendra smiled and took him to his bedroom. “Night handsome. I love you” she told him as she put him to bed. Once she was done, she walked back out to Dean. “So what would you like to talk about?” She asked as she sat next to him on the couch, making sure her shirt covered some bruises on her body.

When Kendra came back, Dean looked over at her, “I’m going to figure out a way for this to work. I won’t leave, not again.” He wasn’t sure how he would make it work, but Dean knew it had to happen, “I don’t want to put you or Henry in danger so I’ll have to do something about hunting, give it up or cut back...”

Kendra felt relieved when he said he would figure something out. Things had been hard for her. “I will be willing to try again with you” she said. The truth was she was still in love with him and thought about him everyday. The fear of her ex pushed out of her mind for now.

Dean smiled, glad to hear that she was willing to try again with him. He took a minute to think before he spoke again, “I just want you to know, leaving you that day was the a huge mistake. I should have stayed here.”

Kendra smiled softly as she felt tears began to fall. They were happy tears and she hugged him. “I missed you so much.” She said as she held on to him tightly. It had been hell since he had left but it was all going to be okay now.

Dean held her close, “I missed you too, there wasn’t a day that went by that I didn’t think of you.” He rubbed her back gently while he held her, “I’m going to be here for everything from now on.”
