Sofia Parker was beautiful, talented and rich, she had worked hard for where she was. Most people would kill to be in her shoes but If she was completely honest with herself she was unhappy. Most people with money almost always are, wealth isn’t everything and while she didn’t indulge in her lifestyle. She missed having a good man by her side.

Her marriage had fallen apart mostly due to how her husband treated her, he was abusive and money hungry. She was lucky to get out of that situation and not having to pay any alimony, thanks to her lawyers. She tried dating but none of the men she met were good to her. She was fed up. Sofia needed an outlet so she went shopping.

Was six bags full of clothes and accessories too much? Probably, but she needed a distraction from her loneliness. As she finished her fifth hour Sofia decided to start heading home. She didn’t have a butler or driver so she did everything herself. She wanted to prove she was independent. That was a struggle. Sofia was struggling with the damn bags, “damn it” she sighed watching her bags fall.

Daniel Thompson had some time to himself. He usually spent most of his time a college, studying, or crashed out on a mates couch. Today however, he'd headed to the mall, the Air Conditioning always kept the temperature inside bearable.

Daniel had recently lost the roof over his head, and had been crashing with friends for the last couple of weeks. He was looking in pretty dire straights, his jeans the most noticeably dirty, but he had on a clean t-shirt. He was still working out things, like a place to stay, but he hadn't managed to find a job that could fit around his studies.

As Daniel was sitting by the doors of the mall, just watching the people walk past, he noticed a woman struggling with her shopping. He sat for a brief moment, before a prompt from his dearly departed mother stirred him into action. She'd always taught him to help others, and be polite. He quickly moved over towards the lady, just as she dropped her bags. "Let me get those for you Miss," he said lightly, kneeling down he easily picked up the shopping bags. He rose to his feet, "would you like me to help carry these out to you car?" he asked. He smiled politely at her, "you really shouldn't have to carry them all yourself," he added.

Sofia realized how many people had walked by her and not offer to help her. Which told her how much these people lived in their own world, she sighed in frustration. Looking up when she heard someone, a young man who looked exhausted. Still, he was handsome and kind by his offer, she smiled sweetly at him.

“Yes, that’s be great, I’ve had a long day” she laughed shaking her thoughts away. “I appreciate the help, that’s really sweet of you” she watched the young man pick up the bags. She led the way, still carrying a few bags, she didn’t want to be completely rude. Sofia let out a soft sigh escape her lips as she’s pulled out her keys out to her car. “What’s your name?” She asked the young man.

Daniel smiled lightly walking out towards the parking lot with her. He looked over at her as she spoke, "Well once you get these packed in your car, I do hope you get to go home and relax," he said. He had been shocked that so many people had just ignored this woman, usually such an attractive lady would have garnered some attention.

He moved with her towards her car, "Honestly, it is the least I can do, to be honest I was just in there because it's so ghastly out here. He paused, "My name's Daniel, and whom do I have the pleasure of helping?" he commented.

Sofia closed her trunk and smiled at the young man, “thank you, I think I will.” He seemed like such a thoughtful young man, she didn’t really meet many young people like him. It was nice. She nodded in agreement, “it’s awfully hot out here.”

Taking his hand she gently shook hands with Daniel, “well, it was such a pleasure meeting you, Daniel. My name is Sofia. I feel like I should repay you some how, it’s not often I meet such a wonderful and kind man.. please let me do something for you.” She smiled brightly at him.

Daniel helped her load her car up with her bags. He smiled and nodded, "yeah, the mall is the best place I've found to cool off so far," he said. He shook her hand, as she thanked him. "It was nice meeting you to Sofia, but please don't feel the need to do anything, I was happy to help," he said softly.

He smiled at her, "It wouldn't count if I expected something back, in return," he added. He looked down at the ground, thinking about his situation, he knew he probably really could use a shower, among other things, but he didn't want to bother her at all. He paused, "Please just head home, and relax, and if you need help with anything i could give you my number," he suggested.

Sofia looked at Daniel wondering what was going through his mind. He looked tired, hot, and hungry. She thought for a minute, “I know. You were just being a very polite person and I can’t thank you enough for helping me, so let’s me do something nice for you in return, please I insist.”

She wasn’t going to give up, “you look like you could use a drink, maybe just a ride home? I mean I would need help with these bags..” she said oh so innocently.

Daniel looked her over, thinking for a moment. "Okay since you insist, I suppose I could use a cold drink and a ride home, and I'll help you unload the bags as well," he said calmly. He smiled sweetly at her, "what was even in them, anyway if you don't mind my asking?" he asked.

He waited for her to move towards getting into the car, assuming she'd want to be off, and out of the heat fairly quick. He wondered what sort of place she had, she did have a pretty cool car.

Sofia clapped her hands together “great! Let’s go to my place then,” she grinned unlocking her car. “You Can fell me about yourself on the drive to my home” she told him. She laughed moments later, “mostly clothes and shoes, I do enjoy spoiling myself. I don’t really have anyone to spoil otherwise I would” she shrug.

Sofia turned in her car and looked at Daniel “tell me Daniel what is it that you do? Are you in school?” She asked while pulling out of the parking lot. Once she started driving she looked over st him. He was a very nice looking young man, biting her lip she’s shook her head.

Daniel smiled brightly, "Sounds like a plan, and don't fret, everybody needs to threat themselves sometimes," he said lightly. He climbed into her car and pulled his belt on. He looked around the parking lot, not wanting to get caught looking at her too much, but he did have to admit she was quite attractive, and sitting in the enclosed space with her, he could smell her perfume.

He looked at her, "currently I'm studying at college, it's my final year, but I don't really have a plan for when I'm done yet," he told her. He paused, "what about you Sofia, what is it that you do?" he asked.

Sofia listened to Daniel as she drove home, she really wondered about him, it was a strange feeling. “I suppose so, I just Hmm,, I just wish I had someone to share things with..” she spoke softly. “It’s been a hard couple of years for me and I’m just trying to relax..”

“Oh yeah? What’s your major? That’s great! Graduating soon, such a brilliant young man you must be.” Sofia smiled, “I own a few restaurants around here and a clothing line, two very different professions I know but I love food and fashion what can I say ?” Sofia laughed

Daniel laughed lightly, "well what sort of things do you normally do to relax?" he asked softly. He smiled looking at her, surprised when she mentioned she owned restaurants and a clothing line. He looked out the window, "I'm majoring in engineering, mainly on the design side of things, but I delved somewhat into development," he told her. "Thank you for saying that, but as I said I don't know where I plan on heading after I graduate," he stated.

He looked back at her again, "Oh wow, any restaurant's I would know, and what sort of clothes?" he asked lightly. He caught himself staring at her cleavage for a moment, and blushed slightly, hoping she hadn't noticed.

Sofia thought for a moment, “I like to swim so I spent a lot of my afternoons in the pool, or I’ll sit and read a good book. Just depends.” She listened and simply nodded “I see, well I hope you find something, I can help you. I’ve got some connections” she laughed. “I know people.”

Sofia looked over at Daniel, he had such an innocent look on his face, so young and still full of hope. Men her age were so cynical and money hungry. “Well, there’s an Italian one across the museum and a Mexican one across town, both good. The recipes are mine so that’s why they’re good,. Not to brag or anything.”

“As far as clothes mostly lingerie and swim suits. I’m branching out though, might start doing dresses...” she pulled into her mansion. It wasn’t huge but it wasn’t a normal “house” either.

As they pulled into the place, Daniel looked at her then back to the house. He sat quiet for a moment, "well I like swimming, if you were ever inclined to want someone to join you," he commented. He sat back, still a tiny bit stunned, "Well, I don't think I've been to either, but I'm sure the food is amazing, you seem like a lady that knows how to make delicious food,' he said.

He looked back at her, and laughed slightly awkwardly, "so I guess you design pretty good lingerie and swim wear," he said. He couldn't help but think of the type of things she designed.

Sofia smiled, “well. I think we should probably go for a swim right after that drink.” She parked her car and looked at Daniel, “it is hot after all, I want you to cool off.” Sofia stepped out of her grabbing her bag, “”well thank you, I think I make good food.” She chuckled.

Sofia smirked, “I will have to let you see my designs then, I have a few I can model.” She helped Daniel with some of the bags, “tell me, Daniel what would you like to drink?”

Daniel climbed out of the car, and moved around to help her with the bags. "Uhh... sure I can join you for a swim if you wanted," he said lightly. He helped carry her bags into the house, his eyes looking around the place. He laughed softly, "I would like that I bet they are really amazing," he said softly.

He blushed slightly realising what she'd suggested, remember she'd said she designed lingerie and swimwear, not dresses. He looked at her, "just some cold water will be fine Sofia," he said, as he wandered over to one of the windows, looking out at the view.

Sofia grinned, “great! Just leave the bags there I have a few closets I’ll Ben putting all of that in later.” She hummed softly as she led the way to the kitchen, “well, then I’ll have to make you something later” Sofia sighed softly grabbing a glass and pouring ice cold water. “Here you go, there’s beer and soda in the fridge If you change your mind..”

Sofia looked at Daniel really considering an offer but she didn’t want to scare him off. “So tell me Daniel, what are you and your friends like, what do you do for fun? I’m curious to know more about you.”

Daniel looked around, "you have a lovely place Sofia, and you said you live here alone?" he asked softly. He was surprised such a big place was available for one person. He thanked her for the water when she handed it to him.

He looked at her, and couldn't help but imagine her in lingerie. "Well we don't really do much, we mostly sit around drinking and playing video games, occasionally we go to the gym, or a club," he said. He found a bar stool by her counter and sat down, "what about you, what do you and your friends get up too?" he asked.

Sofia smiled and took a seat next to him, “well thank you, believe it or not I wanted a small place but my ex husband instead on it, said i should flaunt my riches, I let him control my money for too long hence why I’m divorced, but also he was just awful.” She sighed thinking back at all the times she was beaten. Shaking the thoughts away Sofia turned her attention back to Daniel.

“I remember being that young and carefree I miss those days, I’m making myself sound old” she laughed. “I don’t have many friends, I just never know who to trust, I do have a few though, you’ll probably find this funny but I have a book club so there’s that” she laughed. “Come on I have something you can wear to the pool,” she led the way upstairs to her bedroom.
