Calum nodded, his grin remaining. "I will gladly show you all the best sights. I don't think any of them could compare or compete against you, though," he told her honestly, chewing on his lip, hoping he wasn't being too much for her, but, if this was the only time he'd ever get to see her, he wanted to make the most of it and be honest about what he thought about her. "Oh, uh, work, mostly." He debated for a moment on whether to tell her about his band or not, but he decided against it and smiled, nodding. "I do sometimes. But it's really amazing seeing the world. And, if I hadn't left, I wouldn't have gotten to meet you."

Michael grinned with the mention of it and shrugged slightly. "We'll see," he joked lightly, though he fully intended to be just as supportive and embarrassing for each of his friends, hopeful they'd each find happiness and love - and, really, hopeful he'd find it himself some day. "What? Why do I have to do it? I don't wanna die." He pouted slightly, peering over at Calum and Jess. "He'd definitely kill us."

Jess bit her lip with Calum's words, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear as she studied him, a smile breaking out onto her face at the sight of him. He was ethereal, beautiful, and Jess just wanted to memorise him for as long as she could, while she could. "Well, I'm glad you think so, because I think you're the most beautiful sight in this whole world." She told him honestly, maintaining their contact to show him she was honest. Hearing him talk about work commitments though, Jess smiled. "Hardworking, hm? You're just the perfect man." She grinned, teasing slightly. But she ducked her head with his later words. "I'm glad I met you too, Calum." She told him, but as her phone vibrated, Jess glanced down, seeing Leah's text, shoving her phone back into her pocket. "Hey, what're the chances that, if I leave soon, you'd text me?" She grinned.

Ashton looked to Michael with a grin. "Because you're braver than I am."

Calum blinked to her words, but his expression softened and he smiled slightly as he examined her. "I don't think I could ever compare to you, though," he told her honestly, because he swore there was nothing in this world that could compare to Jess's beauty. He grinned, though, and ducked his head. "Yeah? I hope you keep that opinion of me. You're perfect yourself." And, knowing that she thought o highly of him made his heart swell and race in the most amazing way. "The chances are pretty high." He grinned. "I'm actually kind of planning to text you the moment either of us walks out of here."

"You're just trying to get me killed," Michael complained with a pout, shifting a bit before he made his way over. "Uh, not to break up this cute moment or anything, but, Cal, we gotta go. If we don't, we'll be late."

Calum blinked, looking at Michael, before his gaze went to Jess, honestly not wanting to part from her at all. "Right, um, sorry, but work's calling," he said, offering a weak smile. "But I'll text you when I'm outside?"

"Such a charmer," Jess teased, but still, she smiled up at him. "I'll always hold that opinion of you, Calum." She promised quietly, chewing on her lower lip, hating the thought of leaving him, but knowing she had to, otherwise Leah would miss her "once in a lifetime" chance of meeting 5 Seconds of Summer. "Good, because I'm gonna miss you." She told him, but hearing Michael's words, she offered the other boy a smile before looking to Calum. "I better be going myself." She explained. "But hey, I'll look forward to that text." She leaned to press a kiss to his cheek, offering him another smile. "Have fun at work."

Calum couldn't help but to laugh. "Not usually, but you seem to bring it out of me," he told her with a broad grin, watching her, memorizing every single thing about her that he could, because the thought of never seeing her again pained him. "I'm gonna miss you, too. Needless to say, you've got me pretty enraptured." And he wasn't worried about admitting his thoughts, anymore. She didn't seem bothered by anything he said, so he figured he could tell her how highly he thought of her already, always. His heart raced, his cheeks warming, when Jess kissed his cheek, and his grin broadened. "Right, thank you. Enjoy your day, Jess." He watched her for a moment, debating, but he eventually shifted to kiss her cheek, too. "I'll talk to you soon." Grinning still, he moved to join his friends.

Michael watched the entire thing before he gave a low whistle, shocked but impressed. "Look at you," he teased, patting Calum's shoulder with a broad grin, "Proud of you, man."

Jess bit her lip and ducked her head slightly as Calum kissed her cheek, but as her phone buzzed once more, Jess waved at Calum before leaving the coffee shop, quickly texting Leah back, hoping that fate would be kind to herself and Calum.

Ashton grinned at Calum. "You old dog, look at you go." He shoved Calum gently, watching Jess leave before turning back to Michael and Calum, clearly amused, but nodded along with Michael's words. "Hell yeah we are, the dork got less dorky." He teased, patting Calum's back. "C'mon, let's go see if Luke's awake. Poor guy's probably cooking in that tin can in weather like this." He grinned, leading his bandmates back to the bus, eager to get to the venue.

"Guys, come on," Calum complained with a pout as he followed Ash to the bus. "I'm lucky you two didn't scare her off." He made a slight face but grinned with just the thought of Jess. Chewing on his lip, he pulled out his phone to text Jess quickly, already missing being in her presence, since something about her calmed his spirit so much. Hi, gorgeous. It's Calum. It was wonderful meeting you. He sent the text but laughed. "It's his own fault if he is, because he's the one sleeping."

"I don't think anything could scare her off from you," Michael chimed with an amused grin as he followed the others, shrugging slightly. "I mean, if we didn't, then I'm sure nothing could."

Ashton looked over his shoulder at the pair with a wide grin. "I side with Michael on that one mate," he objected as he unlocked the door to the bus. "You two were glued to each other." He grinned. "You could feel that electricity, awoo!" Ashton howled like a wolf, before climbing onto the bus and grinning at Luke. "Oh man, you missed it!"

Luke raised an amused eyebrow, running a hand through his hair tiredly as he watched his bandmates, giddy as ever. "Missed what?" He asked in amusement, looking to Michael and Calum, before looking back to Ashton. "Why didn't you wake me up?"

Ashton grinned. "You looked so cute." He teased, going to the bus driver to tell him they were ready to start moving again, sitting down before the bus jerked into motion - the last time Ashton remained stood up, he fell flat on his ass, much to the amusement of the other three. "Calum got a girlfriend."

Jess smiled as Calum text her, looking to Leah. Hi handsome! It was incredible meeting you. I hope you have a good time at work and the boys aren't giving you too much bother

"She's not my girlfriend yet," Calum said with a pout as he moved to find a seat, sitting down and leaning back, not at all embarrassed of his words this time with knowing that Jess was just as interested in him. He'd opened his mouth to say more, but he paused when his phone sounded with a notification and he pulled out his phone to read the text, grinning. Thank you. I hope everything goes well for you today! They're still bullying me, but I can handle it, least they didn't scare you off. That's all that matters.

"A girl bumped into Cal and spilled her drink all of him, but they hit it off immediately, I've got a picture," Michael declared with a grin, making his way over to Luke to sit down, holding up his phone to show Luke the picture. "See? Look at them, you can see the sparks! And you missed it, because you just had to sleep."

Luke raised his eyebrows at Calum with a grin that said mischief. "Yet?" He chuckled, seeing Calum glued to his phone, grinning down at the screen. Looking to the photo though, Luke grinned. "I hope you guys teased the hell out of him." Luke teased, getting comfortable as the bus began to move, making it's way back to the highway. They weren't that far from the venue, and Luke was eager for the show, because it had sold out in ten minutes. "What else happened? I wish I came with you now."

Ashton grinned with Luke and Michael's teasing, leaning to get a glance at the photo. "Surprised your phone didn't burst into flames, Mikey." He grinned, tapping eagerly on his lap, eager to do something with his hands. Ashton had been drumming for so long that it had become a second nature and he just couldn't ignore the urge. Still, once he caught sight of the highway, Ashton frowned as he saw that there was backed up traffic, and they were heading right into it. "Oh, great." He groaned. "Luke man, open a window."

Jess bit her lip with Calum's response. I'm sure it will! My cousin and I just met up, she's going to see this band tonight. I don't think anyone could scare me from you, Cal. Did you change your shirt?

Calum rolled his eyes to Luke’s words, waving his hand dismissively. “Oi, quiet you,” he complained, “You’ll ruin it.” He grinned, though, dropping his gaze to his phone when he got the text, though he arched a brow in curiosity. Oh? Going to see a band? I sure hope you’re right, because I’m certain every single one of my friends is gonna try their best to scare you away! I haven’t yet, I’ll change it when I get to work.

“We definitely teased the hell out of him,” Michael declared with a broad grin, “And it clearly hasn’t ended yet.” Shrugging, he leaned back in his seat. “Well, she bought him a cookie, they exchanged numbers.” He smirked. “And I had to practically drag him away to get him to leave.” He looked over, though, blinking at the sight of the traffic jam. “Oh, man, really? It’s close to time for the show, though.”

Leah looked up when she spotted Jess and she grinned broadly. “Jess! There you are!” she chimed happily, rushing over, “Are you ready to go?” She was excited, really, to see one of her favorite bands, 5 Seconds of Summer, play live, and it’d taken a lot of convincing to get her parents to agree.

Emma stared at the cars ahead of them, sighing out as she leaned back in her seat, pouting. “This is gonna take forever and it’s hot,” she complained idly to her parents, who were in the front seat. Chewing on her lip, she shifted a bit before she moved to the other side of the car. “I’m gonna get out to stretch my legs.” And, she made sure to promise not to roam far before she climbed out of the car, breathing out in relief with being able to stretch a bit.

Jess texted Calum back quickly, toying with her lower lip. Mhm, called 5 Seconds of Summer, or something. I've not really heard of them, know of them... she's got backstage and she's crazy happy about it! Jess lifted her gaze as she heard Leah's voice, smiling at her cousin. "Hey bub." She greeted, wrapping an arm around her. "You excited?" She grinned.

Luke grinned with Michael's words, looking to Calum and Ashton, listening intently to Michael's explanation as he cracked open a window at Ashton's request, the bus coming to a stand still. "Sounds like a fuckin' John Green novel." Luke commented with a smirk, settling back into his seat. "We're gonna have to throw his phone out for him to play the show tonight." Luke commented as Calum focused on his phone once more.

With the bus to a complete halt, Ashton shifted in his seat uncomfortably. "I gotta go and get air, it's too hot in here." He grouched, shrugging off his jacket as he stood to his feet, dumping his jacket down beside Calum. The fresh air from the open window wasn't helping, and the bus had never been this warm before. Telling the driver he wouldn't be too long, Ashton stepped off the bus, running a hand through his hair as he walked a few steps away, looking around at the cars, backed up for miles. Groaning, Ashton sat on the grass at the side of the road, movement a few cars away catching his attention.

"Be safe, Emma!" Emma's father, Roger, called back with a grin. "Don't get run over."

Leah grinned as she slid her arm around Jess's waist. “Beyond excited,” she confirmed happily, “You'll love them, too, I just know it.” It was impossible to not love those boys. “I can't wait for you to see them and listen to them. It'll be great.”

Calum blinked with surprise when he saw Jess's text and he grinned slightly. 5 Seconds of Summer? I think I've heard a thing or two about them. Are you looking forward to it, at least? Regardless of knowing them or not? After sending the text, he looked to his friends. “You won't have to throw my phone out,” he told them with a grin, “She's actually gonna be at the show. Backstage and all.” And he couldn't help the excitement he felt with the coincidence of it all, but it made him eager because, whether he met her at the shop today or not, he still would have met her in the end.

Michael waved to Ashton when he left but he blinked after hearing Calum's words. “Really?” he asked with shock before he grinned, patting his friend's shoulder. “Well, look at that. Maybe luck or destiny or whatever is on your side.” And, really, he hoped it went well for Calum, because he could see how hard Calum was already falling for Jess and he wanted his friend to be happy.

Emma grinned in response to her Dad. “I'll try my best,” she joked lightly, aware that the possibility of getting run over in a traffic jam was slim to none. Still, once she was out of the car, she made her way to the grassy area and stretched her arms above her as she peered around. Spotting somebody sitting down nearby, she arched a brow, amused that she wasn't the only one who'd gotten the idea to get out - and, from a distance, he was attractive, so her curiosity got the better of her as she made her way over to him. “Hi there.”

Roger grinned with his daughter's response, shaking his head in amusement. "Atta girl."

Ashton had watched the figure that had caught his attention, glad that his idea of getting some air was shared by someone clearly like minded. Running a hand through his hair as the silhouette moved closer, Ashton found himself captured completely by a beautiful young woman, and Ashton grinned bashfully, dimples and all, when he realised she was walking towards him. "Hiya," he grinned, trying to keep himself collected, desperate not to make a fool of himself in front of the beauty - today was going from strange to fucking amazing, and he wondered if fate was on his side, too. Resting back on his elbows against the grass, he grinned up at her, studying her, swearing that he'd never seen anything or anyone so ethereal in his life. "I'm Ashton. Would you care to sit down? Cool off?"

Luke listened closely to the conversation and grinned, shaking his head. "Bout time you found someone. All we need is someone for Ashton, he's older than us." Luke grinned. "Poor guy must have blue balls." And despite his teasing, Luke really was happy for Calum and hopeful for Ashton, and hopeful for himself, too.

Jess grinned with Leah's confirmation, squeezing around her cousin lovingly. "I've already heard enough of them from car rides." Jess teased back, going to text Calum back, biting back a smile. I am pretty excited, I can't lie. Leah's over the moon and she really deserves this chance - and I guess I know enough to sing along, at least!

Emma couldn’t help the small grin that formed on her features when she got closer, admittedly finding herself amazed by him. He was captivating, in every way, and she found herself curious about the guy. “I’m Emma,” she introduced with a small nod, taking him in, wondering how in the world this guy existed. “You look comfy.” Arching an amused brow, she hummed in thought, admittedly tempted with the idea, especially when Ashton seemed to be so relaxed on the grass. “You know what? Sure, why not.” And, grinning, she moved to sit down next to him, not too close but certainly not too far from him, either. “It feels nice to get some fresh air, honestly.” And, it was definitely worth it since she got to meet Ashton, she decided.

Michael chuckled as he listened to Luke, shaking his head slightly. “Hey, we’ve all gotta get some luck at some point, right?” he asked with a small grin, admittedly hopeful, but not too sure. They’d all find somebody eventually, right?

Calum shook his head, rolling Luke and Michael’s words around in his head with amusement. “Maybe,” he said eventually, “But, you two will probably scare off every girl there is out there.” He grinned teasingly at his friends. “I’m just lucky Michael and Ashton didn’t scare off Jess - she even gave those two a run for their money.” He laughed with the thought, grinning happily with the thought of Jess being able to properly hold her own against those two. Settling his gaze back on his phone, he grinned slightly as he read over Jess’s text. I’m sure you two will love it, then! Promise to take plenty of pictures? I’d love the chance to see you smile as much as possible. He grinned with the thought, still eager with the thought of seeing her in the crowd.

Leah grinned with the mention of it and leaned into Jess’s hold. “You can never listen to them enough, though,” she teased happily, perking up with the thought of getting to see the guys in real life.

Ashton's grin only broadened when the beauty introduced herself as Emma, and he decided that she suited the name perfectly. Soft and pretty. Studying her for a long moment, Ashton grinned as Emma moved to sit beside him, and he chuckled with her words, nodding. "I am pretty comfy. I'm just glad to be in the sunshine," and it was true. Ashton had been sat on a tour bus with three sweaty guys for too long, the fresh air was more than appreciated - and if he hadn't of left the bus when he did, he wouldn't of bumped into her. Watching as she got comfortable against the grass, Ashton turned onto his side to look at her. "I'm with you on that one." Ashton grinned. "Where are you heading?"

Luke grinned with Michael's words. "Our luck will come soon enough, man." He grinned. "If not, we can marry each other." Luke teased. Hearing Calum's words though, Luke chuckled. "Ashton is too charming to scare off anyone. If anyone's gonna get a girlfriend, it's him."

Jess grinned with Leah's words. "That's because you're such a fangirl." Jess teased her cousin adoringly. "You're finally gonna meet them!" Jess couldn't help but feel excited for her cousin, knowing that she deserved it as much - if not more - than anyone else. Getting Calum's text though, Jess' smile broadened, and she quickly text him back. I promise! But I miss you, so, you know, keep me updated when you get to work.

Emma smiled as she watched Ashton, enjoying listening to him speak, enjoying seeing the grin on his features. “Yeah, and I can understand that,” she decided with a nod, “I’d rather be out in the air than stuck in a car when it’s hot.” Letting herself relax, she grinned slightly when Ashton faced her, and she watched him, taking him in. “Just the next city. What about you?”

Michael laughed with the mention of it. “Now, there’s an idea,” he decided easily, grinning broadly but he shook his head. “I guess I can see that.”

Calum made a face with Luke’s words and shook his head. “I resent that,” he decided easily, grinning slightly to himself, “Watch, I’ll make sure to prove you wrong there.” Lifting his shoulders in a shrug, he focused on his texts with Jess, his heart swelling and racing when he read that she missed him, and he couldn’t help but grin broadly. I miss you, too. I’ll make sure to keep you as updated as possible.

Leah grinned with the mention of it. “I know,” she said happily, nodding with excitement, “I really can’t wait, it’ll be so much fun, you’ll see!”

Ashton grinned with the sound of Emma's voice, and when she smiled, Ashton was certain his heart began to pound against his ribcage, because just the sight was enough to make Ashton a little nervous, a little lovesick in a way he'd never experienced before. "What a coincidence," Ashton spoke coolly. "Me too - for a concert." He explained quickly, offering a dimpled smile. "Hey, Emma... I know this is crazy, but you wanna come to a concert with me?" Ashton asked, expecting her to say no.

Luke laughed as he hummed Here Comes The Bride, walking towards Michael before throwing his arms around his best friend's neck.

Jess listened to Leah with a small smile, biting her lip, because somehow, meeting Calum had made all of this worth it. "I believe you." Jess teased, reaching to pinch Leah's cheek. "Although traffic fucking sucks." Texting Calum, Jess sent a photo of the traffic jam. Oh my GOD, it's so backed up! Are you stuck in this?

Emma shifted a bit, letting herself relax, and she found it so easy to do so in Ashton’s presence that it surprised her more than she could explain, but she had no complaints. “A concert, huh?” she asked, wondering what kind of concert he was planning to go to. When he asked if she wanted to come along, though, she blinked with surprise. “Actually, a concert might be a pretty great idea right now. It sounds like fun, so you can count me in.” She grinned. “What concert is it, though?”

Calum ignored his friends in favor of focusing on Jess, grinning slightly to himself when he got the text, and he leaned back where he was sitting, letting himself relax. Quickly, he typed out a reply. Yeah, we’re stuck in the traffic, too. I’m sure it will calm down before you know it! Or, at least, he hoped so. They couldn’t afford to be late to their own concert, after all. And, the sooner they were there, the sooner he could see Jess in person, face-to-face again, and he was looking forward to that more than anything.
