Love Ain’t Simple||

Kylie nodded, "Yeah, I'm okay." She said with a reassuring smile. The baby kicked right away Sean's hand when he placed it on her belly. "Thanks hun.' She spoke as she leaned into him for a moment, just relaxing. She hated that his could be Dan she was doing this with right now, but at the moment, she would take Sean.

Handing over her belongings, Kylie smiled sweetly to him. Most days she would tell him that he didn't have to care her things; however, today was a slightly different story.

Craig laughed. 'Yeah, but to spend a wonderful weekend with my girlfriend - alone. Any guy would want the school day to already be over." He chuckled, kissing her. He then grabbed his back pack from the back and started heading into the school building with her.

Sean nodded, “good, I don’t want you to feel bad, baby needs to behave themselves.. what is the gender by the way?” Sean walked Kylie to their first class. As they walked to class Sean and wondered if Kylie knew about the baby shower. He was told by Emily and Craig, he wasn’t being it up just in case it was a surprise.

Emily smiled, “let’s not forget the baby shower Saturday afternoon...” she laughed shaking her head “you see me everyday.” Emily followed Craig inside and kissed his cheek.

Kylie looked to him and smiled. "A boy." She said with a bright smile. "I am super excited about it." She walked towards their first class, her eyes wide a little as she stopped, feeling a slightly off pain. She remained quiet, just held the bottom of her swollen bump. When they walked into the classroom, the look of surprise appeared on her face. Dan was standing at the teacher's desk. "Well this is a surprise." She mumbled to herself as she waddled into the classroom.

She tried to sit down at her usual desk, but that was clearly not happening, so couldn't understand why she even tried.

"I know but still..." Craig laughed lightly. Walking into the school, they went straight to their lockers. He grabbed his things and then walked over to Emily, watching her as she got her things. "So what do you need help with for this baby shower anyway?" He asked.

Sean smiled, “you have names picked out yet?” As they walked he looked over at Kylie and then entered the room. He blinked wondering why Raditch was subbing again. This was like the 4th time over the last few months he didn’t think much of it but it was weird. He placed Kylie’s stuff on her desk before taking a seat.

Daniel has to substitute again as e watched the classroom fill up he looked for Kylie who just wobbled in. He noticed her discomfort right away and walked over to her “are you doing all right miss Harmon? You may sit at my desk if you’re uncomfortable “

Emily looked at Craig, “well, baby showers it’s usually just girls Craig so,, “ she lchuckled “I guess we need help getting set up. We’re doing it at Hazel’s place.”

"I hav a couple of names, I just haven't settled on one yet." Kylie told Sean. When Dan walked off, she just nodded. "Thank you Sir." She said as she moved to the desk. She carefully sat down, pulling out her things for the class.

While she sat there, she felt another pain, causing her to bite her bottom lip a little. Placing a hand on her bump, Kylie just rubbed the lower part of her belly.

"Gotcha." He chuckled. "I just thought that you would invited all of Kylie's friends. I think Jimmy and Spinner were really looking forward to being there." He noted. "Plus I got something for Kylie and the baby."

As they walked to the class and stepped in, he saw Raditch giving up his desk for Kylie again. He said nothing, but watched.

As Daniel instructed the class on what they needed to go over he looked over at Kylie who was obviously uncomfortable. He wished he could be more helpful he wanted to comfort her and kiss her. Daniel has to deal with it, If it was bad he would take immediate action.

After passing out assignments Daniel walked to “get” something off his desk, “are you all right Miss Harmon?” He mumbled so only she could hear him.

Emily rolled her eyes. “All right you guys can come,” she looked back at her notes. “I’m not hosting it so..” she tapped her pencil against her notebook. Writing things down, she started to write down some notes. Emily thought it was weird how their principal was acting around Kylie.

Kylie nodded, "Mr. Raditch I'll be okay, and please call me Kylie, you don't always have to call me Miss Harmon." She said softly as she looked over the assignment. She shifted in her chair slightly as the class carried on.

Craig nodded. " We don't have to come I just know the boys were looking forward to going as well." He said with full honesty. He sat down at his desk, taking out his notes.

HALF WAY THROUGH THE CLASS...

Craig had been working on the assignment, taking notes, etc. when he looked to Emily. "So what were you thinking we could do this weekend?" He asked.

Kylie had been good, ignoring these subtle pains and reminding herself that she would be okay. However, when the subtle pain grew a little stronger, she ended up gasping aloud, doubling slightly over in pain.

Daniel nodded, “all right Miss— Kylie” he chuckled and went back to lecturing he continued speaking. Trying not to get distracted by the very pregnant young woman. He wanted to hold her and make her discomfort go away.

Emily looked at Craig, “I told you it’s fine you guys can come.” She turned back around and started on her work assignment.

Daniel turned to look at Kylie as she’s gasped out loud he walked back over not caring that some people were watching. “Are you okay? Do you need to go to the nurse’s office?”

Emily shrugged her shoulders, “I don’t know we have that baby shower to throw so that’s probably it.”

Kylie breathed slowly in and out, staying calm as she reached out for Dan's arm, not thinking about the fact that people were watching. "Dan, I'll be fine. I just need to get up and walk some." She whispered, still not realizing that people were watching. She shifted in her seat a little as she kept holding onto his arm.

Craig looked to her. "I thought the baby shower was today after school though..." He said, slightly confused. Maybe he got his dates and days mixed up. This was the ideal weekend for him and Emily. Her father was going to be away and they were going to spend ALL weekend together - one way or another.

Daniel looked at Kylie as she grabbed onto his arm,”I’m going to suggest that you go to the nurse I insist.” He helped her up, “Cameron, please escort Kylie to the nurse’s office.” He instructed. Sean looked up nodding, getting up and walking to Kylie, holding her hand, “hey, breathe.” He rubbed her back, opening the door for her.

Emily sighed getting out her agenda looking through the dates “you’re right it’s today. I forgot.” She shrugged her shoulders. Emily put her focus back into her work. She tapped her pencil against the desk.

Kylie held he bottom of her swollen belly, breathing exactly like Sean said. This could not be happening. This was not happening. She still had 4 weeks left, even though the doctor told her at last weeks appointment that she was good to have this baby anytime. "Sean," She said as she walked down the hall. "I don't want to go to the nurse's office. Let me just walk around a little, and I'll be okay." She reassured him as she walked.

Craig looked to her. Something was up. He watched as Kylie and Sean walked out of the classroom. He then brought his attention back to his girlfriend once more. "Em, what's wrong?" He asked as he watched her tap her pencil against the desk.

Sean didn’t think she was due now but he didn’t really have experience with this sorta thing. He wanted to take her to the nurse maybe she would know what’s was going on. He nodddd, “all right but if I see anything that may cause anymore discomfort or pain I’m taking you to the nurse.. i Don’t want you being in pain.” Sean didn’t leave her alone burn walked with Kylie around the school. “So I noticed our principal is giving you extra attention, just thought id let you know..”

Emily kept writing, “I’m fine.” Emily was thinking hard, why was she even going to this baby shower? She wasn’t friends with Kylie. They were just classmates she didn’t really went out of her way to talk to Emily. Not that Emily cared. She was just moody. Emily didn’t talk to any of then girls in school not really. “When’s the shower?”

Kylie paused in her tracks at the sound of his words. "Mr. Raditch was not giving me extra attention. We made an agreement, no special treatments or extra attention." She said, not realizing that everyone was watching what happened back in the classroom. She shook her head then kept walking.

Craig was really confused. "What do you mean when? Emily you helped with it. It was your idea to throw the shower...you said it like 2 months ago that you wanted to throw her a shower, and then you got the other girls involved." Not caring that Mr. Raditch was talking, Craig put his things down and then put her things down as well. "Emily...talk to me." He whispered. "What is up with you..."

Sean crosses his arms staring ar Kylie, “please, didn’t you not see what happened in the classroom? Everyone noticed how he was all worried about more than a teacher should be... I’m just letting you know do you can tell him to cool it. Anyway, where did you want to walk around?” Sean didn’t want to argue with Kylie.

Emily snapped, “can you just leave me alone!” She grabbed her things and stormed out of the classroom. Daniel stopped what he was doing surprised Emily was always such a quiet and good student. “Manning what did you do to that girl? Never mind.. “ Emily went to her locker and grab her belongings and decided To go home. Walking past everyone mumbling to herself.

Kylie looked to him, " I just want to walk." She said as she kept going down the hall way. As she walked, her hands on the lower part of her belly. She thought about what Sean said, and got a little worried that people did notice the way Dan reacted to her. As they walked, she saw Emily walked out of the class and to her locker. She looked very confused, walking over to Emily.

"Hey are you okay?"

Craig looked o Mr. Raditch and shrugged. He had no clue what was wrong with Emily. He wanted to get up and run after her, but he didn't want to piss her off more than she already was. He figured he would text her though. 'Hey you okay?' He text her.

Sean nodddd and followed Kylie almost like a puppy would follow their owner, he sighed softly. “Well let’s keep walking, her your blood pumping” he chuckled and stopped noticing the new girl by her locker. He didn’t know her but he wasn’t about to ask what was wrong. It wasn’t his business. He almost told Kylie to just leave it but that wasn’t Kylie thing to do.

Emily was slamming things in her bag and realized someone was by her locker, “Yeah fine, i want to be alone okay.” She said as politely as she could possibly say that. With that she stormed out of the building and walked home. It didn’t take her long as she walked in and broke down closing the door and locking it. She wanted to toss her phone to the side but she was still waiting for her dad to call her back.

"Oh...okay..." Kylie siad. She was trying to take it personal, but she was definitely concerned for the young girl. She decided that she would reach out to her later to see if everything was okay. When Emily left, Kylie began walking again, holding onto her belly once more. The pains were still happening, but not as strong.

Craig frowned when he didn't receive a text back from Emily. He had no clue what was going on with her. This morning she seemed fined when he picked her up, so where did this sudden change of attitude come from.

Sean walked beside Kylie “I know that look, you need to leave that girl alone she obviously doesn’t want to talk to anyone.” Sean held Kylie’s hand as they walked “you. Really should see your doctor and ask about your weird pains.. I worry about you.” He really did. He just didn’t want Kylie to get hurt.

Emily decided to text Craig but only to tell him something, “I’m going to that baby shower. Hazel is hosting it anyway..she did all the work. I gotta go see my dad, I’ll be gone all weekend. “ after she sent that Emily went to pack her bag, she didn’t want him to be alone. She wiped the tears from her eyes.

Kylie nodded, knowing that he was right. She needed to leave her alone. "They're just Braxton Hicks Contractions." She said as she walked down the hall. She got back to the classroom and sat down at the desk. She saw Dan staring at her for a moment, wanting to see if she was okay. She pulled out a piece of paper, writing down on it - I am okay. Just Braxton Hicks Contractions.

Craig looked at the text, and frowned a little. "Oh...okay." He replied, wondering what happened and if everything was going to be okay. He then looked back to Mr. Raditch as he talked, then looked to Kylie when she walked back in.

Sean followed Kylie inside and took a seat and writing down notes. Daniel looked at the paper with a slow nod before finishing up the lecture. Telling everyone to take the rest of the time to study. “I have to go see what happened to Emily, don’t cause any more trouble.” He told the class and walked out for a moment.

Emily’s dad had been hospitalized and she didn’t want to tell anyone seeing it wasn’t their business. But she wanted to be with him, he was all she had. He hospitalized in Michigan, and she was kind of far from there but was going to make the drive.
