James' hands were clasped behind his back as he moved through the lobby of the the make shift market. It was in an abandoned warehouse, nothing that would be looked at twice unless you knew exactly what you were looking for. James, he knew. He'd owned other wolves in the past but they were no longer with him. Once he was finished with a wolf and found them to be useless, he either sold them to help recoup some of his losses. Not that he didn't have enough money to just keep on going but sometimes he would if his return was enough, or he just killed them himself because it was less of a hassle.

He had opted to sell his last wolf at the same market that he was stepping into. Smirking as he was waved around the security checkpoint, James simply waltzed through while ignoring the glares from other attendees. The owners of the market knew who James was and knew that he was not a patient man; to keep him waiting was not good for business. Not now, not ever.

Growing bored as he made his way through the cages, James couldn't help but roll his eyes. He was beginning to feel like the quality of wolves on the market had gone down. He was a very particular man and if there was someone that he did not take a liking to; he would simply walk away without spending any money at all.

James decided that it, at the very least, could not hurt to continue toward the back of the warehouse. The further you walked, the more expensive the items were. The better quality, in theory. His demeanor continued to morph into a less than pleased one though.

He came to a stop in front of a cage near the very back, his eyes scrutinizing the werewolf inside. James' eyes scanned over the document detailing the girl inside. Looking up, James tilted his head to the side. "Stand up straight. Turn around," he paused, lifting his hand to show the movement he expected with his finger. "Slowly."

This place was loud, and it smelled of many wolves. That terrified her. Aelia was raised as a house pet for many years since she was a child. Being a prized pet for an elderly man who thought it was a good way to flaunt his vast amount of wealth on buying a werewolf pup. Resting her head on his lap as in front of them they watched two more wolves fight to the death.

Aelia has seen more deaths of her kind at a young age, then many would ever think of seeing. She remembered the man stroking his gross boney fingers through her fur as the blood in front of them flowing. Soaking the steel floor of the cage they were fighting in. His fingers occasionally traveling to low for her liking, but she never dared bite. No, she did not want to become one of the wolves in the cage. She did not want to die for his amusement. She was a good girl, she wanted to stay in his good graces.

His scent met her nose before she heard his voice. Lia's wolf picked up the strong presence of an alpha in their presence. Never in her young life, could Aelia remember her wolf telling her to be so wary. Still, though, all she managed to do was cast the male a small blue-eyed glance before turning her head away from him. Her white fur glistening slightly in the light of the warehouse. Rather she was captive bred or was born free, Aelia couldn't remember. All she knew was obeying, and now, her master was dead. Killed in an accident with another wolf. The wolf had managed to break the gate on its cage and ripped their master's neck open.
He freed the other wolves, but Lia was too scared to run away.

She was taken back by the hunters when authorities came. Putting her back into this little cage when no one in the family seemed fit to own a wolf, let alone a werewolf.

"She's in mourning." The voice of one of the market workers rang out. The sound of his filthy tone sending chills down Lia's spine. "Her master was killed in front of her, poor thing had been with him for many years. Don't worry though, she's still intact." He said, referring to her not being bred with another male or touched by a human before. "She's a beauty though."

James' back straightened as the worker's voice rang out, echoing through the small area they were located in. His face morphed into a scowl as hie eyes narrowed slightly. "I'm sorry, I believe I know how to read," he said, his voice dropping as he turned toward the worker. He tilted his head to the side, raising an eyebrow. "As far as I understand, her former master is dead. She should still know how to follow a basic command, should she not? If she's not capable, then she is not worth the price you're asking. Intact or otherwise. If a wolf does not know how to turn when told to, what are they worth? Please enlighten me, since I must have skimmed over that part in the reading," James spoke, his tone laced with sarcasm and annoyance.

He scoffed, turning away from the worker entirely. It was clear that he wasn't impressed by the man's so-called helpful input. James gave a roll of his eyes, taking a step closer to the cage. He was only a foot or so away, his attention focused on the wolf inside. He couldn't recall the last time that he had seen a white wolf; it made her desirable. It made James want to buy her but his words rang true; if she was a beloved house pet like the papers said, then a simple turn command should be easy for her follow. James wasn't in the business of training wolves from step one.

"Aelia," he tested the name on his lips. James shifted his weight from one foot to the other. "I suspect that you do know how to listen, whether you're in mourning or not. Am I wrong?" He spoke, knowing the girl could understand his words even when she was in wolf form. "You wouldn't want to risk upsetting me, the owner's of this place know better... what would they do if you were the reason I left unhappy?" James wondered out loud, beginning to walk around the cage, his eyes trained on the wolf inside.

The worker visibly flinched as he listened to James; words. Not realizing who he was at the beginning and really wishing he had realized who the man was before he spoke. "M-my apologies sir." The worker stuttered, shifting uncomfortably. "She just arrived, so. uh.." The man stopped himself and excused himself, he had made a fool of himself in front of such a powerful man.

Lia, on the other hand, had listened to everything and found it amusing and also idiotic. She hated this place, she hated that she was being sold once more. The first time she had been sold, she was but a child, but she still remembered the feeling. The feeling of the eyes on her, people poking at her through the bars, pulling on the soft wolf pup fur that she had possessed back then.
Bright blue eyes snapped open as she heard the name that she had been given. Rather it was her birth name or not, she didn't know. The sound of it though still caught her attention. Her eyes trailing towards the man once he pokes her name, her attention now on him, rather she wanted to or not. Her wold wanted to listen to him, being recognized by an alpha was a big thing in the wolf world.

She moved to lay on her stomach as she listened to James. Lia's ears swiveling a little as she listened to him. Her gaze following him as he walked around her cage. Her still blue eyes indicating that she was still young, yet to change. Rather they are her human's eye color or not, all wolves had some variant of gold, amber or brown eyes.
A wolfish sigh escaped from the young she-wolf as she stood on all fours, she kept her tail and head low as she followed the command from earlier. Turning into a small circle for him, going in the direction than him in slow motion before laying back down on the cold floor of the cage she was in. Hey, eyes focused on the man as she waited for his next command. She didn't know who this man was, but, she had a feeling she'd end up dead if she didn't make him happy.

James couldn't help but smirk to himself when Aelia's body shifted the moment he spoke her name. That told him all that he needed to know, that she was keen to do as she was told if he went about it right. Though there was fun to be had in forcing her to respond to him; beating her into submission until she was too afraid to do anything but exactly as he said, when he said it. If he told her to jump; she'd preface the action with a simple 'how high?' James hummed to himself, giving a slight nod of his head.

His interest only continued to grow when Aelia seemed to decide to obey, turning in a slow, deliberate circle. James tilted his head, seeming to consider the wolf inside as his eyes found hers. He held her gaze for a moment, eventually giving the tiniest of nods. It was the only indication he gave but he was well aware that there were enough eyes on him that at least one person would piece together that James wanted to buy her.

James left the warehouse, opting not to stay around and watch his former slave be sold. He would foot the rest of the bill to buy Aelia; the profit from his sale lowering her price significantly.

Sliding into the back of his towncar, James motioned with his hand for the driver to pull around to the far side of the warehouse. Bought slaves were brought out the back to awaiting transportation. Some owners sent them home in trunks, some tied, and other wanting to get a little taste of what they had just bought. James opted to simply wait for Aelia to join him in the back, since she hadn't shifted yet.

The moment that James left Aelia's sight, her wolf started to go into a panic. Her human self tried to calm her, but the she-wolf was driving Aelia mad. She was screaming to follow after the alpha male wolf who was walking around the warehouse. Wishing to lay at his feet and show her belly in submission.

Lia did her best to act calm as more men came to look at her once more. Amazed that a man like James was ready to buy someone who was so expensive. Lia knew she wasn't a common wolf, but she never cared to learn how much she was worth.

When a few of the workers came around to bring her to the back, Aelia took this as her chance. As soon as one dared to get to close, she lunged at him, biting his hand and breaking a few fingers in the process. The man yelled out in pain, waving his bloodied hand around like an idiot.
Lia's top lip raised as she readied herself to snap at anyone else who dared get close to her. Only to let out a small yelp as a sharp prick on her rear caught her attention. Her little acting out bit got her tranquilized. A within a mere moment, she was out cold. A safe to transport the animal for the next few hours.

Momentarily, she was able to wake up a bit. The feeling of leather seats and the feel of a moving car lulled her right back to sleep though. What an inconvenience she had created for her new master.

James had been scrolling through his phone, immersed in messages from his second in command. He was silent, his arm draped across the back of his seat as he waited for Aelia to be delivered. Except what he heard next was the sound of a scuffle followed by a yelp that sent his own wolf off. He burst out of the door, his face hardening at the sight in front of him. One sniff of the of the air told him that Aelia had been tranquilized and despite the bloodied hand that one of the workers sported, he found that he was a little less than sympathetic.

He lunged forward, all but ripping the man's throat out, who held the tranquilizer gun in his hand. His gaze shifted to the man who appeared to be one of the managers, his claws growing. "Touch a hair on a head that belongs to me again and I will destroy this entire warehouse," James spat the words, kneeling long enough to lift Aelia's body into the back of his car.

By the time that they arrived back to his mansion, James had received several, frantic messages from the owner of the market. He would refund the cost of Aelia as well as offer a credit for a future purchase, all in good faith because the man knew that angering someone like James was never a good idea. The body yat the back of his warehouse was proof enough of that very concept.

"Bring her inside," James demanded of the butler that opened his door for him. Marcus, the butler, was the closest thing that James had to a parental figure. His parents were long dead, the man had served his parents and now James. Marcus eyed James warily before doing as he was told, James having gone into the den of his home, sliding into the warm pool of water after shedding his clothes.

Coming too, the first thing that Aelia had realized was that none of the scents that met her nose were familiar. Her wolf turned on high alert as she listened for any sound that she could pick up. Where was she? Her bright blue eyes slowly opened and what she was met with was something that Aelia had not been in, in years. A bedroom. Quite a nice one at that.

Not sensing any immediate threats, Aelia allowed for herself to shift into her human form. Slowly, she sat up and looked around. "Where am I?" She murmured quietly as she slowly stood up and grabbed the blanket from off of the bed. She wrapped it around herself as she looked around the beautiful bedroom. Her eyes taking in every magnificent detail that she could catch.

It seemed, that her new master was loaded.

Slowly, Aelia started to walk around the room. Her fingers gently trailing over the furniture and art that filled the room. "Wow." She breathed out quietly as she took everything in. Her old master wasn't even this rich. Well, not that she knew of. Maybe the old man was just not very fond of showing off his things.

Once Lia felt like she had looked over the whole room, Lia did a little snooping and found a rather large shirt that she could borrow. As she grabbed the shirt, the smell of the man from the warehouse hit her like a ton of bricks. The wolf that was looking to buy other wolves. Was a joke. Still, though, he was probably better protection then a human would be.
Aelia slipped on the rather large grey shirt, one of her shoulders visible as the neck part seemed a little stretched out. Like he had shifted in the shirt and was just keeping it in case he needed to have something to wear when he was changing out of his house or property.

Slowly, Aelia walked out of the room. Her bright eyes looking around as she moved as quietly as she could. Although, as she got to the thresh hold that leads to the den, a floorboard creaked and would alert any wolf in the area of her presence. Her blue eyes looked over the railing of the upstairs and she looked towards James, her gaze then shifting quickly, not wanting to make eye contact and accidentally challenge him.

The water was kept at a constant temperature, just warm enough that it would help James' muscles relax without ever having to worry about overheating or being uncomfortable. He would sometimes sit inside of it for hours after a long time out of the house for it was always calming to him. It seemed that whenever he was relaxing in the water, James didn't have to concern himself with useless tasks that he had to pay mind to. It was a quiet, welcomed sanctuary where he was able to spend time alone.

James hadn't needed to tell Marcus to take his abandoned shirt up to the room with Aelia; it was an unspoken rule. He had brought Aelia into his home to be his slave, he wanted his scent on every part of her being. Wearing his abandoned shirt was the easiest way for that to happen. He didn't know how long she would be upstairs but he suspected that it would take a bit of time, at least. Until she woke and was able to make her way downstairs.

His scent picked up Aelia's presence, even before his ears did. This had been his home for as long as he could remember, he knew when something was off. When Aelia's scent grew just a touch stronger, he knew she must of awoken. She was likely exploring her room because the scent continued to wash over him in gentle waves, ones that told him nothing particularly important were happening. It wasn't as if Aelia was trying to escape. He hoped she wouldn't be foolish enough to even attempt such a thing but she was new here, James still needed to get to know her more.

"Come. Join me," James called, his arms stretched out over the rim of the hot tub. "The water will help your muscles to relax," he spoke, his voice hard, leaving no room for argument. He knew the tranquilizer would have made her more sore than usual, he would show her that he could be kind and caring btu if she even dared to step a toe out of line, that would all change.

The wolf inside of Aelia warned her to be careful. They didn't know this male, nor did they know his attention either. Her gaze shifted toward the stairs that would lead to the lower level and slowly took them. Her wolf telling her to just stop this instant, they were in danger. Well, they were in danger, either way, was Lia's argument back to her she-wolf.

Lia's fingertips grazed over the railing of the stairs as she slowly traveled down them. Her gaze kept down as a form of respect for the male who was already in the water. Then, as she stepped foot onto the same level, her tongue darted out and warily licked her dry lips.

It was only once she was heading towards the water, that Aelia looked up once more. Her footsteps light as she moved. She slowly got down to her knees and put her feet into the hot water, not daring to get in deeper just yet. "Who are you?" She asked, her voice just as quiet as every move she seems to make.

Slowly, Aelia's eyes shift down towards the water and watched as the current from the jets swirled the water. Her legs causing a disruption in the current that had been going and creating little bubbles along her bare skin. Never had she need in water so warm before, at least, she didn't think she had. Cold or lukewarm was all she used to get with the old man if she was lucky.

James didn't bother to look up from his spot in the water, even as Aelia drew closer to him. He knew that she would ask questions, it was very nearly inescapable on a wolf's first day in his home. It was often their questions that told him how things would pan out with them. If they were respectful with their questions, there was a higher chance that he wouldn't end up killing them to get of them. If he couldn't tame a wolf, there was no chance of someone else being able to. And that would damage his reputation, something that he wanted no part in.

Humming as Aelia spoke, James couldn't help but smirk to himself. He rubbed his cheek, still not looking in her direction. "Your alpha," James answered as it was the easiest answer to give her. It was easier than explaining that he had bought her on the market for a particularly high price. Besides, what did it matter to her? It didn't. The only thing that mattered was her keeping him happy.

"Come further in," James instructed, motioning her further into the water. "The warmth will help you relax. Your muscles are sore, don't try to deny it. A tranquilizer will make just about anyone sore," he said, giving the slightest shake of his head. It was the only indication that she would see, to show how unhappy with that situation he had been.

"RIght now will be your one and only opportunity to ask questions," James said, finally turning his attention toward her. "So if you want to ask anything else. Do it right now."

The sarcastic answer that Aelia got from her question was not amusing. She narrowed her eyes and looked at him with a not so amused look. Then, couldn't help but to sigh and shake her head a little bit. She needed to rephrase her words it seemed so that he actually gave the answers that she wanted to hear.

This time, Lia didn't try and fight the command as she slipped into the warm water. She kept the shirt on her body, moving her arms to cover her breasts as the shirt became see through. As Lia felt the warmth soothing her muscles, she couldn't help but to close her eyes and relax against the stone backing of the hot tub.

After a while, Lia opened her eyes and looked towards James. Careful to not look him in the eyes as she thought about what he had told her. Questions, what kind of questions did she have for a man who bought her? It was a tricky request because she didn't have such a luxury back at her old master's house. She was beaten for breathing wrong and learned from a young age that she was to be seen and not heard. She was going to be used to please guests once she was older, but the old man died before he could take her prized gem from her.

"Why would a wolf buy another wolf? Don't you have a pack to rule since you're an alpha?" Lia's voice was quiet as she spoke, her eyes looking at his lips as he'd answer. Not daring to look into his eyes and challenge him for dominance. She was acting out a little because of the stress, but she was not dumb enough to look another wolf in the eyes. Especially when he was so much bigger then she was.

Slowly, Lia licked her lips once more as she tried to think of more questions to ask. "Are you going to change my name? Since you bought me?" She asked, a little unsure she'd be able to respond as well to a new name. Heck, she didn't even know if Aelia was her birth name anymore. "What am I suppose to be calling you?" That was the end of Aelia's questions. She couldn't pull anymore out of her head and she knew she was probably going to regret it later for missing her chance.

James couldn't help but let out a small laugh when Aelia spoke. He had been expecting a multitude of questions, they always had so many that he got bored by the end of them usually. It wasn't uncommon for him to simply cut their little interrogation short by that point, deciding to retire for the night. The first night was the only day that he would offer to his new pets, to let them get used to their surroundings before he expected everything all at once from then.

Day two would roll around and James would expect them to obey each and every command that he offered, he'd expect them to be by his side day in and day out. Anything short of that would mean James had to teach them and they were sure to dread it if things reached that point because James wasn't a very good teacher. Nor was he kind when he had to.

"My pack is.. my pack. They are there for me to command to ensure that I continue to stay in power. To ensure their survival, as well as mine. I lead them to ensure they are well fed and cared for, the same as what I'll provide for you," James answered simply, turning his attention toward her. A little grin settled onto his feature as he straightened.

"You are rare, I don't have such a wolf in m pack. White, female, young..." James listed a few of the reasons that he had bought her. He gave a one sided shrug of his shoulder before he settled back against the wall of the hot tub. "How your time with me is, depends largely on you. On your ability to listen to orders, on your... ability to please me. On your basic manners and how you act around my pack. They are free to ask basic tasks of you. Fetch them a drink, grab their coat, but they are never to lay a hand on you. In an manner. That is for me and me only," James spoke, his voice taking on a hard edge as he fixed the young she-wolf with a hard look. "Do you understand?"

Sinking a little deeper into the water, Lia kept her gaze on James' lips as he spoke and answered her questions. Never in her life had she spoken so much to a master in one day. Simple yes or no sir's being the gist of what she's been saying her whole life. She was raised to take orders, not give them.

"I'm rare?" Aelia asked, her head tilting to the side. Giving the impression that she was slightly confused. She always thought that females were less desirable, so people just bought the males while the females were breeding stock. Her master tried to breed her once, but she got into a fight with the male instead. Resulting in a small scar she got behind her right ear, but it was so small that no one will ever see it unless they look for it.

Slowly, Lia mimicked James and sat up in the water. "Aren't pleasing you and obeying orders the same?" She asked, showing how naive she was to the world around her. Many things going over her head that a normal person would get right away.
Although, after a moment, she got the idea that things were bound to get a little awkward for her. So she decided to ask for something instead. "May I explore?" She asked, tilting her head once more towards James. Batting her eyes cutely as she was interested in the place that her new master called home.

"Please?" She added on, remembering that she needed to be respectful to the man who was in front of her, as he did buy her. For how much she could never imagine, money was nothing to the young girl.

James looked taken aback at Aelia's surprise when he mentioned just how rare she was. His brows pulled together as he tried to sort through the fact that she seemed to be completely unaware of just how special she was. He wasn't going to bother going into details with her because she didn't really need to know them. It didn't actually have any affect on her life whatsoever, there was no reason to act like it.

He smirked to himself, giving a small nod of his head when Aelia pointed out something that he had already known. "I know that but yet, you would be surprised the amount of people that don't seem to understand such a simple fact," James said. "Some people think it's appropriate to challenge me, until they understand that the rules that I set down, are meant to be followed. Not to tested, or bargained with." James was saying these things as gentle reminders during their conversation. With how much he had nearly paid for her, James wanted to at least try to make Aelia last.

Standing, James didn't bat an eye when he exited the water to pull the shorts on the Marcus had left for him. He glanced toward Aelia, motioning with his head for her to join him. "Come. Let's go exploring together, hm? Make sure that you don't get yourself into any unnecessary trouble," he said, motioning for her to walk slightly behind him.

"You will sleep in my room," James stated easily. "My bed is quite large so I won't expect anything from you, tonight. You don't have to worry about any expectations... at least not tonight. Understood?"

The moment that James stood up, Aelia averted her eyes elsewhere. Her cheeks turned a light pink as his man bits were showed clearly to her. This had been the first time she had to seem a male naked and she really had no idea on how else she was to react. Her fingers nervously fiddled together as she waited for him to finish walking past her before she glanced in his direction.

Her interest perked up as James motioned for her to follow him. Her wolfs tail would be wagging right about now if she was in her wolfs form. "Yes, sir," Lia said quietly as she too got out of the water. She rung out the shirt that she was wearing so that it wasn't dripping wet and went to follow after the alpha male that was in front of her.

"Yes, sir," Aelia said quietly as she allowed for her eyes to look around shyly. This place was huge, she felt like if she was human that she'd probably get lost easily. But, she was a wolf and trusted that her wolf wouldn't allow for her to get lost. Having her enhanced sense of smell help lead her towards her destinations whenever she'd need them.

James frowned the slightest bit when Aelia hesitated. He only said nothing when he realized that she had rung the shirt out. If that was anything other than to make Marcus' life easier, he would have told her to leave it. Huffing out his annoyance, James shook his head as he led the way through the house. He didn't bother pointing out which room was which, sure that Aelia would be able to sort it out for herself. She was a wolf, she had to be able to pick up on things through her enhanced senses.

He came to a stop in front of a set of grande double doors. James turned to face her, his brows pulling together. "I will say this only once. Marcus is human, but he has served my pack for as long as can be remembered. Do not disrespect him. Do not hurt him. Do not do anything to him, that you would not do to me. If he asks something of you, you obey. Only when it conflicts with something I ask of you, are you allowed to disobey him. Am I clear?" James said, cupping her cheek. He forced her to look up to him, his gaze hardened as he awaited her answer.

Dropping his hand from her, James motioned toward the door behind them once she had answered him. "Behind these doors, is myy office. Under no circumstances are you to be inside alone, nor without my permission. Marcus' quarters are off limits as well. Anywhere else in the house, you are welcome to be if I do not require your service."

James turned, leading them toward his bedroom. Pushing the door open, James stepped inside. Not quite wanting to lay down yet, James moved to one of the chairs in the middle of the room. "This, is my room. Consequently, it is your room, as well. If you behave and do well, you will sleep in my bed. If you misbehave, the floor will be your bed," he said, giving a one sided shrug. He didn't care one way or another, it was Aelia's life that would be terrible if she misbehaved. Not his.

As they walked, Lia was blown away by the grandness of the place. Multiple living rooms, dining rooms, bathrooms, and bedroom. Smells of others of her kind were faint, but she could tell that he's had his pack over recently. Maybe a few days ago judging from their faint scents. That or James was prominent in making sure that all smell like him. Which, kinda annoyed Lia a little and she didn't know why.

Stopping short, Lia froze as she realized she had almost walked into James. Instinctively, she took a small step back so that he'd have his space back. Her attention moving straight towards his voice as he spoke. Her bright blue eyes looking straight into his as he spoke. Her head nodding quietly as she listened. She had no will to fight him, at least not on this subject. "Yes, sir." She said quietly, verbally confirming what she was sure he already got.

When he moved again, Lia was sure he was going to show her more places, but as they arrived at his room. She was blown away. "Woah." She breathed out, her eyes looking all over the place. It smelled strongly of James, and the furniture matched the whole aesthetic that he seemed to be going for with the whole house. It felt really comforting.
Slowly, Lia started to look around the room as James moved to sit in a chair. Her gaze taking in every last detail of the room. "Yes, sir." She repeated her words, turning her head to look towards James so that he knew that she was listening to him.

Ugh, the large window must let in a lot of sunlight. Lia could imagine being in her wolf form and sunbathing as she waited for James to wake up.
Slowly, Lia moved over towards James side and sat next to him on the floor. Her arms crossing over each other on the edge of the couch as she laid her head on them. The side of her head gently resting against his legs. A demonstration of what her papers like to call affectionate.
Lia didn't dare sit next to him completely on the chair, nor would she dare sit in the other one. She was his pet, she didn't dare do something so bold as to assume she could just sit freely. He was allowing her to lay on the bed if she behaved, he was allowing her to move around, he could take all of that away from her at any moment.
