Aiden smiled at her as she spoke about what she did, shaking his head a little when she said it was geeky. "It's not something that I understand too much about, but that doesn't mean you're weird for liking it. You're much smarter than I am if you're getting your masters in computer science." He pointed out, taking a sip of his iced tea.

He smiled sheepishly and gave a little shrug when she pointed out it was a long way to walk for a meal. "The first time I was already in the area... But after that I kept coming back because the food was so good. And my waitress was cute." He grinned a little as he dug back into his food, not wanting to answer what the family business was. It wasn't anything terrible, but it was hard to explain that he and his family, who were all werewolves, owned a good number of properties throughout the city specifically for the use of the werewolves who lived there.

A light blush moved over Bailey's face and she couldn't help but smile widely at him. Admittedly, she was hoping that he would say something along those lines. She had not been sure that he would, but now it was clear why Aiden kept coming and why he wanted her to eat with him. Pushing her hair back behind her ear, she smiled up at him warmly. "That is sweet of you to say, Thank you."

Bailey took another sip of her milkshake, looking at him with interest. Her question concerning his family's business was already out of her mind. She then set her finished milkshake to the side, looking at him curiously. "Well, what do you do when you're not at restaurants staring at cute waitresses then?"

Aiden grinned a little at her reaction, incredibly pleased that she was taking his interest in her well, and that she seemed interested in him too. It would be complicated if and when he had to tell her about what he really was, but for now sitting and getting to know her seemed like a good start. Once he was finished with his meal he leaned back in his seat, humming a little in thought. "I go to the gym a few times a week, and I have a pretty big extended family that lives in the area, so I spend a lot of time with them, whether visiting or helping them out with stuff." He explained with a little shrug, glancing over at the other table of wolves to make sure they weren't up to anything.

One of the males was walking back to their table with a smirk on their lips. As he sat down, all of them slowly turned towards Aiden, their eyes stuck on the alpha. As Bailey was about to respond to Aiden, one of the waitresses came up to the table, turning to Bailey in a panic. "I am sorry but you need to come help. Tiff is in the back, crying her eyes out."

Bailey looked over to Aiden with a little frown before she nodded to her friend and got onto her feet. "I'm really sorry, Aiden. Just wait right here, I'll be back." She told him before heading into the kitchen with the other waitress. 

Once Bailey was out of sight, all three wolves were quick. They headed over to Aiden's table. The girl was growling lowly so only he could hear. One of the guys was stepped back while the other was right in front of the alpha, ready to get in his face. "This is our territory and Bailey is our human. I think it would be best if you back off and head to your own pack."

Aiden narrowed his eyes at the male when he came back to the table, before turning his attention to the waitress and then Bailey as they spoke. He offered her a reassuring smile, shaking his head slightly, although he knew the disruption was the wolves' doing. "Not a problem, take your time." He reassured her before she disappeared into the kitchen, and he turned his attention back to the group now standing in front of him. He looked them over lazily, assessing them as be leaned back in his seat and sipped his iced tea as he listened to their threats.

"I can barely smell any of your scents on her, so she clearly does not belong to you, and while this may be your packs territory, none of you are Alpha, and I doubt yours would care much about one human." He spoke calmly, but his eyes gave them a warning look, as he was obviously furious from their challenge, although he was keeping calm for Bailey's sake. "Back off, before you do or say something you'll regret."

The woman was quick to push through so she was in the front. She leaned down, her growling now growling louder now that she was in Aiden's face. "She belongs to us. You don't know what you are dealing with here so I suggest you back off. And the next time I see you on our territory I'll rip -" Before she was able to finish, the man in the back was quick to grab onto the girl and pull her back. She snapped at him before turning back to Aiden. "Fine - if a scent is all you need to back off."

Turning on her feet, the woman was quick to start moving to the back of the restaurant. The man sigh and quickly followed the woman, with a clear intent of stopping her. Though the first man turned back to Aiden. "She is right. You don't know what you're dealing with. This is your only warning." With that, he turned back and moved to the booth.

A low growl rumbled from Aiden's chest as the woman got in his face, his anger evident in his eyes. He would probably have hit her had one of the men not pulled her back, although, when she headed off in the direction of the kitchen he was on his feet in an instant, following after her. If either of them laid a finger on Bailey, he'd be the one doing the ripping. He considered the calmest of the group's warning, knowing that he was probably getting himself into a big mess, but he couldn't deny his attraction to Bailey, or his desire to have her as his mate, and he knew there was nothing he could do to stop the wolf inside from at least trying to get what it wanted.

He casually made his way back to the kitchen, eyes scanning nervously for both Bailey and the shewolf, hoping her friend had steared her off. "Bailey?" He called, shoving his hands in his pockets to keep them from shaking out of rage.

“Hey! Stop that!” Bailey cried out. “You can’t just pick me up and make me leave! Vi, I need to work!” Soon, Bailey, the female wolf and the male wolf came into view. Bailey had been thrown over the woman’s shoulder and grabbing onto the counters and walls to stop from being taken away. The female wolf was trying her best to carry Bailey out of the backdoor and the man had his face in his hands while shaking his head.

Once Aiden came into view for Bailey, the girl immediately stopped trying to fight against Vi. Instead, she looked up and gave the man an awkward smile as a deep blush moved over her face. “Hi, I was coming back when I became a little preoccupied. I’m sorry,”

Bailey tried to hit the wolf in her side with her elbow. Though Vi didn’t flinch. Instead just turning to head out the door. Bailey let out a gasp. “Put me down Vi!”

Aiden's eyes narrowed dangerously at Vi as she attempted to take an obviously reluctant Bailey from the restaurant, hurrying over to block her way out, letting out a low growl. "Put her down. Now." He ordered. He hoped that she had enough sense to follow his instructions, as a diner kitchen was an awfully messy spot for a fight, and the last thing he wanted was Bailey to be injured because of him.

"She clearly doesn't want to go with you." He pointed out, glancing over at the male wolf, as if asking him why he wasn't trying to stop his friend from doing something so crazy. Aiden's scent was clearly all over Bailey by now, the alpha having managed to mark her a few times over the past weeks when she'd been serving him, but Vi obviously didn't care about that, and was prepared to risk fighting an alpha over her friend. "I'll only say it once more. Put. Her. Down."

As the situation took a slightly more serious turn, Bailey's eyes widen a bit. She had not been expecting Aiden to take it so seriously nor she had not been expecting for Vi to try to carry her off either... "Vi, that's enough," Bailey said, her voice now turning completely serious and annoyed. 

The wolf hesitated for a moment before slowly and gently moving Bailey back down on her feet. "I'm sorry Bailey, I just missed you," Vi said before taking a slight step back, a little whimper leaving her that only the two other wolves could hear.

Bailey reached out and messed up her hair before looking back at Aiden. "They were just messing around. See? I am good." She gave him a gentle smile while moving her hands to the side, showing Aiden that she was perfectly fine. "These are my friends, Vivian and Marcus."

Aiden visibly relaxed when Vi set Bailey down, his muscles having been tensed up in case of a fight. He gave a little nod when Bailey reassured him that she was alright, and as she introduced her friends he wrapped a protective arm around her shoulders, looking between the two wolves. "Pleasure. Although I believe we've spoken before." He didn't even try hiding the bitterness in his voice as he spoke to the other two wolves, furious that they had tried to carry Bailey off against her will.

He turned his attention back to Bailey and his eyes softened, offering her a faint smile. "Would you like to finish lunch? If not, maybe we could get dinner once you shift is over?" He asked curiously, hoping the events in the kitchen hadn't freaked her out too much.

Bailey looked at the three in slight surprised as Aiden mentioned having spoken before. She raised an eyebrow at them. "Do you three know each other?" 

Marcus was quick to respond, wrapping his arms in front of his chest. "No, we don't know each. We have only met once." He headed over to Vi, wrapping an arm around her shoulders. Mostly to keep the woman in control. The man could already see where this was heading. 

The woman looked at the three of them strangely before turning back to Aiden. She could tell something weird is going on but she couldn't put her finger on it. Bailey supposed she was going to have to dig into it later. "Well, I think I have to go back to work now but dinner sounds lovely. Would tomorrow work for you?"

Before Aiden could respond, Bailey turned and grabbed an order pad, beginning to write on it. Marcus was quick to grab onto Vi's shirt, pulling her back into him now that the woman was beginning to growl lowly again at Aiden when Bailey's back was turned. She then turned to Aiden and handed the pad with her number on it. She then turned to all three of them with an awkward smile. "I will talk to all of you later... now can you all please get out of the kitchen before I get yelled at."

"Tomorrow would work perfectly." Aiden smiled at her warmly, although when her back was turned he shot a warning glare at Vi as he heard her growl, although his features softened once more as Bailey turned back to him and handed him the slip of paper with her number on it. "Thank you, I'll text you to work out the details. I'll see you tomorrow." Aiden grinned, leaning down to press a kiss to her cheek before heading out of the kitchen as he had been instructed, putting down a couple of twenties on his table as he passed before exiting the diner. He was excited about their date, but also knew he needed to get to his territory quickly, figuring Vi and the others would probably be on his tail as he left.

Bailey smoothed out her dark purple dress as she waited for Aiden to arrive. Admittedly, she was a little nervous for her date with Aiden. This was going to be their first time meeting outside of the diner. Plus, her friends didn't seem to like Aiden much. Though when she talked to them about him, it seemed that they barely knew the man at all. Something strange was going on and she was hoping to get Aiden's side tonight.

Aiden arrived a few minutes early, pulling up outside of her apartment building in his car before texting her to let her know that he had arrived. He was excited for their date, especially because they'd decided on a restaurant in his territory, which meant that as long as her friends were sane, they wouldn't dare threaten him tonight. He figured that they'd probably tried to convince her not to go, and that she'd probably have a lot of questions about what was going on, and so he'd decided to be as honest as possible, even if it meant telling her that he was a werewolf. It was a risk, yes, but he hoped that it would pay off, and that not only would she not mind, but she'd give him a chance and possibly be willing to become his mate eventually, although he'd try to avoid that conversation on the first date.

A bright smile came over Bailey's face as she saw the text from Aiden. Despite her friends' concerns, she was really excited for the date. Though, she found it odd that they were so against a man that even they admitted, knew very little about. All they could say was that there was a weird aura around Aiden. Bailey disagreed with that notion, but she was curious as to what Aiden would say about the whole affair. 

After heading down a few flights of stairs, Bailey walked up to the car and knocked on the window. She waved to Aiden before sliding in. "Hi!"

If Aiden had been paying attention, he would have gotten out of the car and opened her door for her, but he'd been busy texting one of his Betas about the whole situation, letting them know where they were going for dinner and telling them to be on the lookout for Vi and her friends, considering they seemed hell bent on keeping Bailey away from him. He looked up when she knocked on the window, beaming as she slid into the passenger side.

"Hi. You look beautiful." He complimented, leaning over to press a quick kiss to her cheek before starting up the car and pulling out onto the road, driving towards the restaurant and the safety of his own territory. "How was your day?" He asked curiously, fiddling with one of the buttons on his soft blue button down shirt, having dressed up for their date.

"Thank you, you look very handsome yourself." Bailey hummed as she looked over him. Aiden did look very nice. Though that thought quickly left her mind as he pressed a kiss to her cheek, causing a smile to move over Bailey's lips. She really liked when he did that. Her eyes dropped down to the man's hand as he fiddled with his shirt, which she assumed was out of nervousness. Gently, Bailey took his hand and laced their fingers together.

"It was a very interesting day, but good nonetheless. How was yours?" It had been quite a usual day. A few of her friends had come over without warning to tell Bailey not to go on the date. Vi seemed especially against it, even trying some tricks to get Bailey to cancel. Though none of them had a single reasonable reason as to why they didn't want her to go. Bailey started to look at Aiden curiously. Surely he had to know something, unless there was something going on that wasn't about him at all.

Aiden stiffened for a moment when she took his hand, but as she laced their fingers together he relaxed and looked at her with a warm smile before turning his attention back to the road and giving her hand a little squeeze. "My day was pretty good, although it's gotten better now that I'm with you." He admitted softly, squeezing her hand again. He could tell she had been around Vi and the others, but he wasn't too worried, as she was here with him, and not with them.

Soon enough he was pulling into the parking lot of the restaurant he had picked out, shutting off the engine and getting out of the car before darting around to the other side to open her door for her, grinning slightly. "I would have gotten your door earlier, but I hadn't been paying attention.."

"Thank you," Sliding out of the car, Bailey looked up at him. She felt like her smile was going to be permanent throughout the date. Following him, Bailey glanced up at the restaurant and looked around inside a bit as they were lead to their table. Turning back to Aiden, she let out a small laugh before speaking. "It will be nice to eat somewhere that is not the diner." She joked. Though, honestly, she was pleased about going out.
