Charles shoulders sagged in relief when she told him that she had already eaten. It was a relief to him because he had realized that he led her around everywhere after Sebastian had already begun her tour. If she hadn't eaten, he would not have been a very good host at all. He gave her a light grin as he shook his head slowly. "No. I was far more occupied with finding you after my meeting was over," he explained as if it was no big deal because to him, it wasn't at all.

Offering his arm to Arielle, Charles smiled as he turned to lead her out of the library. "Very well. You can bring that book with you and after I've eaten, I'll show you to your chambers. How does that sound?" Charles asked quietly, setting his free hand on top of Arielle's that rested on his arm. It was a gentle touch but it was something he enjoyed because it brought them a bit closer, even despite hardly knowing anything about each other.

"We did just get this wonderful chai tea in from a trade," Charles said as they entered the feast hall. Almost immediately upon him entertaining, a small door in the corner of the room opened and a woman stepped out to ask Charles what he would like prepared. After all, the general dinner time was over so there was nothing to make a proper meal. They would have to start from scratch. Charles cleared his throat as he pulled out the chair beside his, motioning for Arielle to take a seat. "You're more than welcome to have dessert as well, if you'd like. A few biscuits with your tea or something.." he trailed off, taking his seat beside Arielle before he turned toward the servant to ask for some sort of chicken dish.

"Thank you for your concern, your highness," Arielle said quietly as she leaned against the King ever so slightly as she allowed for him to lead her out of the library. The book clutched to her chest by her free hand. "That sounds like a nice plan." She added on, looking up at the King and offering him a small smile before taking in their surroundings. This place was so huge, she was sure she'll get plenty lost. Even if she manages to stay here with the King.

A small groan of interest escaped from Ari as the King mentioned Chai tea. "I love Chai tea, I can't wait to try it." She said, a small grin appearing upon her lips as she sat next to the King. Her hands folding neatly in her lap as she looked up at the servant who came out to ask the King what he would like to eat for dinner.

"Some sweets to go with my tea would be lovely," Arielle said quietly and looked up towards the servant to ask for some sweets with the Chai tea. Then, she looked back towards the King. "Have you ever tried your hand at cooking before?" Arielle asked, curious as to rather r, not the King ever dared to try something that he had workers for. "It's quite fun to try, especially when it turns out decently."

"Oh, what about travel?" She asked, wanting to keep some light conversations going between the two of them as they waited for his meal to be brought out.

Charles relaxed in his seat once the servant stepped away to go prepare the requested food and drink for Arielle and him. He turned toward her, letting out a small laugh at her question. He was quick to shake his head, his nose scrunching. "No. I never have. Or," he paused, a scowl coming to his lips. "Let me rephrase. I have tried and it just has never really... worked. I leave that up to people that know what they're doing in the kitchen," he said with a light laugh.

Charles was surprised when Arielle mentioned that she liked to cook. It wasn't often that you came across royalty that liked to cook. Or do anything that was generally reserved for servants. "You like to cook?" HE asked, hoping that she didn't take his surprise offensively. "What do you like to cook then?" He asked, wanting to learn a bit more about her.

"I love to travel. I don't often get to just for the pleasure of it," Charles said with a light sigh. "I always have to go here or I have to go there for something political..." he trailed off. "I wasn't planning on us going anywhere but we can look at taking a trip at the end of the month, if you'd like. Wherever you'd want to go, I'm sure."

Charles sat up a bit straighter then. "If we are able, where would you want to go?" HE asked softly.

A small smile splayed across the young woman's lips as she listened to the King. Amusement danced along in her eyes as she learned something new about the King. "Well, what did you try to make that you failed terribly at?" Arielle asked as she tilted her head ever so slightly as she listened to him continue to speak to her.

"I'm decent at making pasta dishes. " Arielle said, offering The King a small smile. "Although, the servants tend to get me all of the ingredients together. I just put them in when I'm told to." A small giggle escaped from Arielle as she explained how she somehow kinda cooks dishes for people. "One day, I'd like to try and do everything on my own, it'd be interesting to see how things would turn out."

Then, a small hum escaped from Arielle as she leaned back in her seat ever so slightly. She hadn't meant to ask for them to go on a trip, but if he was offering. Then who was she to say no to the idea? "I'd like to see a port town," Arielle said, deciding on what she'd like to do after a few moments of silence fell between them. "I've always wanted to see the ocean and I've heard a lot of port towns are beautiful to see as well." She explained. Growing up in the country, it was often hard to travel anywhere but to the capital every now and again. Even if she was a noble by birth.

"Since you don't get to go out very much to do what you please, where would you like to go?" Arielle asked, curious as to what the royal would choose for a place he'd like to go if he had some free time to himself.

Charles’ nose scrunched as he looked around the room before he leaned toward Arielle as if he was conspiring with her about a deep, dark secret. In reality, it was just to get her to laugh again because he was realizing how much he enjoyed the sound. “The only thing that I’ve made successfully for myself is toast and even then, I managed to burn myself. Elizabeth has banned me from the kitchen since,” he said, rolling his eyes.

When he realized that Arielle hadnt a clue who Elizabeth was, Charles leaned back in his seat before adding a bit of clarification for her. “Elizabeth is the head servant of the kitchen. She has been with us since I was going and she is the best cook in all the lands, I swear it. She could make something delicious out of nothing. It truly is a wonder, how she does it...” he trailed off, his lips pursed before he shrugged.

“Truth be told, I like the mountains. I like to go places that no one else is able to. To hike high up on mountains to see the lands from a different perspective. It is wonderful,” Charles said with a sigh. He looked up to Arielle, giving a firm nod of his head. “Very well. I will start the arrangements tomorrow. If all goes well, it is two days worth of travel but we should be just fine to make it out to the nearest town and have a few days to ourselves.”
