"Is everything okay?" Minho asked, although he knwe that Taemin was checking his phone to see if his boyfriend had called or texted him. He didnt know who his boyfriend was, but the behavior reminded him of his ex, who would go on business trip and not communicate with him while he was away. However he found out that his ex was cheating on him while he was out of town. Minho hoped that Taemin's boyfriend wasnt like that, but he also wouldnt mind that things didnt work out between them so that he could date the younger boy.

‘Yeah everything’s fine. Thanks for asking,’ he gave Minho a small smile, ‘I’m ready for some ice cream. I know a place not to far away from here that sells ready good ice cream. I want vanilla chocolate chip,’ he told him before walking towards the place, ‘you coming?’

Minho knew that things weren't fine between the younger boy and his boyfriend. He knew that exact feeling, but he wasn't going to press Taemin on it. "Yeah I am." He said with a smile before he followed Taemin to the ice cream shop. "I think I want cookies 'n creme"

‘Oohh that sounds good. I might get that,’ he smiled as they walked into the store. He walked up to the woman behind the counter, ‘hello Hani. How are you tonight?’

‘I’m fine baby. How are you?’

‘I’m doing okay. How’s your sister?’

‘She’s doing well. She misses home but she loves her study program abroad.’

‘That’s great. Tell her I said hi, I love her and I miss her the next time you talk to her.’

‘I will Taemin. How’s Kai?’

‘He’s going good. He’s on another business trip in Japan.’

‘I hope everything is going well and what would you like today?’

‘I would like cookies and cream in a cone.’

Minho froze slightly as he heard the name of his ex boyfriend slip out of the lady's lips as she spoke to Taemin. 'It can't be same Kai, can it? But it make so much sense though.' He thought to himself but then shook his head as he tried to get rid of the thought. "I will take the same thing as well." He told Hani.

Hani smiled as she got to work on their order. Taemin turned and looked at Minho, ‘are you okay hyung? You look pale,’ he told him, worried now, ‘do you just want to go home? I’ll understand if your not feeling well.’

Minho shook his head. "I'm fine, just got lost inside my mind." He said and then laugh softly. "I'm fine really. Besides I rather be here eating ice cream than go home."

Taemin just took his ice cream when his phone started ringing. He pulled it out and saw Kai’s name. He smiled and excused himself before going outside to answer the call, ‘Hey Jongin. How are you? How is work? Are you eating and sleeping well?’

Minho froze again as he heard Taemin answered the phone and heard the name Jongin escape the boy's lips. He knew it couldn't be coincidental but he really hope it was because he didnt want Taemin to go through what he did with his ex.

"Work is busy, but yeah I'm eating and sleeping fine. I just wanted to call you to tell you that my boss needs me to stay longer than planned. They need me to run the business at the new location for a bit until they find the right candidate to take over." Kai said.

Taemin’s heart sank at that. He really missed Kai. Lately he’s hardly seen any of the younger. He’s seen him for a day or a few days or if he was lucky a week or so between Jongin’s business trips, ‘oh okay...that’s good. I hope they do soon because I miss you. I hardly get to see you anymore.’

"I know, I know babe. But you know how my job is demanding and how much they need me. I promise you that these two months will go by fast." Kai said, rolling his eyes, but smiled when the guy behind him began to kiss his neck and rub his muscles on his chest. "Look I gotta go, my boss is calling me. I talk to you later." Kaid said and then hung up the phone.

Taemin was disappointed when Kai hung up, wanting to talk to him some more. He put his phone away and suddenly didn’t feel like eating ice cream or being outside. He walked back over to Minho, ‘hey I’m sorry but I have to go home. I don’t feel well. I’m sorry,’ he told him before walking off towards his house.

"Wait up" Minho called after him as he got up and threw his icecream away. He quickly caught up with Taemin. "What's wrong? You can tell me." Minho asked, stopping Taemin from walking away.

‘It’s nothing Minho. I just don’t feel well. I’m going to go home and lay down. Maybe watch some tv,’ he told him before continuing to walk away. He really missed Kai. He threw away the not even eaten ice cream when he passed by a trash can on his way home.

Minho frowned but nodded. "O-okay. I hope you feel better in the morning. Uh call me if you need anything." He said as he watched Taemin walk away until he couldn't see the younger boy anymore. He sighed and then slowly walked back to his small apartment.

When Taemin got home, he went inside before laying down on the couch in front of the television. He stared at the dark blank screen, biting his lower lip. Kai was going to be gone for who knows how long and it just sucks. He’s happy his boyfriend has a good job that he loves but is sad that it keeps him away a lot.

When Minho got home he sat down on the couch and took out his phone and went to the blocked number list, where he saw his ex name on there. He unblocked his name and called him.

Kai was sitting in the living room enjoying a beer while watching TV. His guest had left the hotel about an hour ago. He heard his phone ring and assumed it was Taemin, but a smirk appeared on his lips when he saw it was Minho, the boy he dated before Taemin. "What a pleasant surprise. You missed me Minho?"

‘Hardly,’ he sneered, ‘trust me I wouldn’t have unblocked your number if I didn’t have suspicions about someone a friend of mine is dating. Are you dating Taemin Jongin?’ He hated the younger boy with every fiber of his being. He had cheated on him to many times to count on his business trips with so many guys, claiming he had business meetings and all that but none of that was true. He had slept with so many people than came home and slept with Minho, telling him he loved and missed him but those were lies.

Jongin just laughed, "why does it matter to you on who I am dating? Are y po I jealous that you're not being fed my cock?" He continued to tease his ex. "Or are you upset that I was just using you for sex?"

‘It matters to me because Taemin is sweet and he doesn’t deserve to be treated like how your treating him and neither did I and I wouldn’t want you to touch me ever again you asshole,’ Minho growled. His anger rose when Kai continued to tease him. ‘fuck you Jongin.’
