He could tell, that made things awkward. He turned and used his speed to get him out of there and home. He just thought she was cute, that didn’t mean anything would happen right away.

Jessica got home showered and went to meet her partner at the bar. Where they sat and ate laughing.

Barry came back when Jessica left, embarrassed, ‘Diana why did you do that?’

Clark’s face soften “she meant well Barry.”

A couple days later Jessica was back at the Hall of Justice getting some paper work done

‘Yeah well not that girl thinks I’m some creepy team mate who likes her when I don’t even know her. I think she’s cute, that’s all.’

Clark smiled “she’s right over there why not y’all to her?”

Jessica sighed softly as she looked over her notes, studying for her math class and on top of her classes she needed to go to work.

‘Diana told her that I think she’s cute and she looked at me like I was a creep. I’ll just leave her alone.’

Clark sighed “Barry from what Bruce told me, she has a bit of anxiety and lacks social skills, Bruce would understand “ he chuckled.

‘I’m not really great in the whole social skills either. In fact I suck...’ he bit his bottom lip before going to sit by himself on a couch to listen to some music.

Jessica walked over and sat next to Barry as she opened her book, she put a post it note on his hand. Apologizing for her weird behavior.

He looked at her before the note. He got out a pen before writing, it’s okay, I understand what it’s like to have zero to no social skills and anxiety.

Jessica looked up and smiled softly, “I’m kinda new to the superhero thing I didn’t really have a choice, the ring chose me for some reason.”

Jessica nodded “yeah that’s what Clark keeps telling me but.. will power? I get anxiety just trying to leave the house.. but I’m learning to over coming this insecurity..”

‘Before Bruce cane to recruit me for the league, I stayed in my abandoned building, listening to kpop in a big monitor screen connected to my computer and I didn’t interact with people. These people on the justice league have slowly been helping me with that, my anxiety and social skills.’

Jessica nodded “oh okay. Yeah, I was terrified when I went out into space for the first time but anyway ya part of my training as a Green Lantern and I just.. it was intense..”

‘Hey as a fellow anxiety holder and lack of social skills person, you can talk to me if you feel comfortable enough to do so.’

Jessica floated in the air now, something about flying gave her peace, “yeah. All right, well, I’m glad I’m not the only young person on this team..it’s weird because we’re not teens so teen titans were too old for that group, but like we’re the youngest members of the League. And in my case the Green Laterns too.”

‘It is weird yeah but this place once you get used to it will feel like a family. It took me awhile but I’m getting used to it.’

Jessica nodded, “I like helping people, I mean I work at a shelter when I’m done with school and here.. I did notice how everyone on this team works to better our planet and people so.. philanthropy stuff.”
