Bexley sat on the couch with Florence as they worked on their homework together. "You know we could always take a break and go get food. Or! We could order a pizza." She said, smiling. She had been best friends with Florence since the other girl had moved into the neighborhood when they were younger. "I think we should get pizza." She said as she looked down at the math problem in front of her again. She looked up when she heard the front door open. She heard the sound of Luca and Johnathan talking in the foyer. Bexley had always gotten along with Luca because she spent a lot of time with Florence. Though Florence had told her not to get too close to him because he got in a lot of trouble.

Johnathan walked into the house with Luca. "Dude, I'm telling you this party will be fun. I mean it isn't like you will turn it down." He said. He walked into the living room, seeing the two girls. "Well, look at you two being smart and what not." He said as he plopped down on the couch. "Bex, when are you going to introduce me to that Tiffany girl you hang out with?" He asked smirking.

Bexley looked at him, "How about never?" She replied, rolling her eyes a little.

Florence hummed a little as her friend mentioned getting pizza, nodding in agreement. "Maybe we could order a couple from that super fancy pizza place that just opened up on the other side of town.. I forget its name, but I heard that they have amazing pizza, even if some of the ingredients seem weird." She said as she set her homework down, closing her textbook before standing to head into the kitchen to find the flyer and menu she'd picked up the other day, calling out a greeting to her brother from the kitchen when he and one of his friends came in. Even if they weren't biologically related, Luca was without a doubt her brother, and they'd looked after each other through the few years of foster care they spent together before being adopted together by the Johnsons, which was probably the happiest day of Florence and Luca's life.

Luca laughed at his friend as they headed into the house, his friend surprised at him not wanting to go to some party this weekend. "It's Florence's birthday, and I promised her we'd do stuff. Sorry, Jon, maybe another time." He said as he took a seat on the couch where Florence had been sitting previously, glancing over her math homework briefly before grabbing the remote to turn on the tv.

"Hey, Bex. Did I hear something about pizza when we walked in?" He asked as he glanced over at her, offering his sister's friend a smile. He'd be lying if he said he found her unattractive, but he knew Florence wouldn't want him messing around with her friends, just like he didn't want her messing around with any of his. Not that she would. She was a good girl, had somehow managed to keep her innocence despite some sketchy situations in foster care.

"Yes! We were just about to order something, I think. Would you want any, Luca?" Florence asked as she returned to the living room, pressing a kiss to her brother's cheek before taking a seat in an armchair next to the couch, eyes glancing over the menu. "Mmm, carbonara pizza sounds amazing.. What would you want, Bexely?"

Bexley smiled when Luca asked her about the pizza. She looked over as Florence walked in with the menu. "The carbonara pizza sounds good to me." She said. She closed her books and glanced over at Luca. She really liked talking to him. Bexley leaned back against the couch, glancing at the tv.

Jonathan sighed, "Bring her to the party." He suggested. He looked over at Florence, "You would like to go to a party right?" He asked. He knew the girl didn't get our much. "It is better than sitting at home." He explained. He smiled as he looked at Luca.

Florence hummed in agreement as Bexley agreed to the carbonara pizza, passing her brother the menu to look over before looking over at Jonathan as he spoke about her going to a party. Before she could even open her mouth to answer Luca was glaring over at him, shaking his head once. "No, she's not going to a party." He said firmly. The last thing he wanted was to put his little sister in danger, something he'd never do willingly. He stood and headed to the kitchen to order the pizza for them, too pissed at Jonathan's suggestion to look at him at the moment. He knew he didn't want his sister being dragged into the trouble that he got into, so why would he offer?

"Sorry about him, Jonathan.. But he's right, I'm not really that into parties." She smiled apologetically as she looked over at him with a little shrug. "You both go out to parties all the time though, what's so special about this one?"

Jonathan looked at her, "This party is supposed to be better than all the parties we have went to before. I mean don't you want to have a little fun that doesn't involve sitting at home?" He asked. He looked over at Bexley. "I mean Bexley goes to parties right?" He said. "We know you do because you are a cheerleader." He said.

Bexley looked at Jonathan when he mentioned her going to parties. "I mean yeah, but that isn't the same as when you hang out with your friends.' She said, laughing. Bexley looked at Florence. The two were best friends but there were some things Florence didn't do with her and parties was one of them.

Jonathan nodded, "Maybe but are you really going to deprive your best friend of the fun she needs?" He asked.

Bexley looked at Florence, "He has a point parties are fun and Jake is also having one tonight." She said. She had decided not to go because Florence didn't care for parties.

Florence hummed a little in thought, still not looking convinced. "If you can convince Luca to let me go, I'll go, but it'll never happen. And Bex, you don't have to hang out with me every time I ask. If you'd rather go to a party, you should to to a party." Florence frowned a little, looking up when Luca returned from the kitchen.

Luca listened to Florence and the others try to convince him to let her go, and after plopping down on the couch once more with a frustrated sigh he finally agreed. "Fine. But Jon, you're looking after her, not me. Which means no drinking, or going off with some random girl."

Jonathan looked at him, "Fine, I will watch her. We will have all kinds of fun." He said. "Wait, so if I am taking care of her what the fuck are you doing?" He asked. He knew that Luca had a tendency to get pretty messed up at these parties.

Bexley sighed, "Yeah because I am just going to ditch you." She said, shaking her head. She looked over as Luca decided going to the party would be okay. "Party it is then." She said. "Can we at least eat the pizza first?" She asked.

Florence began to protest when her brother said that she had to stick with Jonathan, frowning deeply when her brother hushed her before looking over at his friend with narrowed eyes. "Don't worry about it. Just make sure she's safe." He knew Florence had an idea of what he did at these parties, but having her see him do this stuff was the last thing he wanted, and so it was Jonathan's task to make sure she didn't see him.

"Yes, Bex, we can eat the pizza first. It'll be here in like 20 minutes." Luca sighed as he ran a hand over his face and through his hair, not liking the idea of bringing his sister along.

Jonathan nodded, "Okay, Okay i will make sure that i keep her safe." He said. He leaned back against the couch, crossing his arms. He was glad they were going to eat before they left. It was going to be weird for him not to drink, but he would figure it out. He would just have to find other ways to keep himself entertained.

Bexley smiled, "Good because i am starving." She said. She could tell that Luca was planning to do something wrong, because he seemed very secretive about what was going to be happening. Bexley heard the doorbell after 20 minutes then waited for them to bring the food in. She walked to the kitchen with everyone and got her piece of pizza.

Florence followed everyone to the kitchen when the pizza arrived, taking a seat at the dining room table after taking a couple of slices, humming at the taste as she ate. She looked over at Jonathan when he sat down near her, smiling over at him a little. "You don't have to babysit me if you don't want.. I can always leave right after we get there, that way Luca doesn't have to worry, and you can get drunk or do whatever you want.." she offered quietly.

Luca helped himself to pizza and smiled over at Florence as she sat down before looking at Bex, offering her a small smile. "Thanks for being Florence's friend, you don't have to, you know..."

Jonathan chuckled, "You aren't leaving. You need to have some fun. Sitting around the house is not going to be fun forever. Besides you may actually have a good time." He told her before he went back to eating his food. He knew that He could always drink when he got home.

Bexley looked at Luca, "What do you mean? I am her friend because i want to be her friend. Nobody makes me be friends with her." She told him. She knew that Luca was over protective, but eventually Florence would have to go off on her own.

Florence looked over at him and scrunched up her nose, rolling her eyes a little. "I doubt it. Those parties are no good, Luca said so. I'm pretty sure I'd have more fun sitting around here than doing or seeing whatever it is my brother gets up to at these parties."

"Yeah, I know. But not everyone is like you. There were a lot of mean kids around before we got adopted, and I tried to protect her from it, but I'm not sure how good of a job I did." Luca sighed, running his hands through his hair.

Jonathan chuckled, "Don't let him scare you away from doing fun things." He said. He finished his pizza, "You don't have to do what your brother does at these parties." He said.

Bexley nodded, "Yeah, but i mean you can't keep her away from everything. People can be mean, but if she hides from stuff then she might miss out one something good." She said. She looked at her pizza, before she took another bite of it.

Florence frowned a little as she looked at him, taking another bite of her pizza. "What do you mean? What does Luca do?" She asked worriedly. He'd never given her specifics, but she worried about her brother.

"I guess.. But I'd still rather keep her safe, keep her away from everything that ruined my life." Luca sighed, scarfing down his pizza before standing and heading to the fridge to grab some water.

Jonathan shook his head, "Don't worry about it. He doesn't want you exposed to that." He said. He didn't want to get in trouble with Luca and he knew that there was no way he was going to tell Florence what awful things he did at parties.

Bexley watched as he walked off, then checked to see if Florence was done eating. She grabbed her friend's arm and pulled her away, "Let's go get you ready." She said. She led her up to the bedroom and shut the door. "So be honest now that we are alone. Are you excited for your first party?" She asked as she went through her own back to find something to wear.

Florence frowned as Jonathan spoke, looking at him worriedly. "He's my brother. He makes a big fuss out of keeping me safe, but won't let me in when I try to help him.. I'll never, never forgive myself if anything happens to him." She looked up when Bexley came over and whisked her away to her bedroom, frowning as she sat at the edge of her bed. "Isn't what I'm wearing now fine?" She asked, looking down at the dress and cardigan she was already in. "I don't know if excited is the right word.. don't feel like you have to babysit me too, Jonathan can watch me while you go have fun."

Luca came and sat down next to Jonathan, sighing as he looked at him. "If I see her anywhere near anything bad, I'll strangle you Jon." He warned as he looked at his friend. "Keep her out of the kitchen, and don't let any of those sleezy guys put their hands on her. If she wants to dance, find Bex and have them dance together, so she's not alone. God, this is going to be a mess." He sighed as he ran a hand over his face and through his hair.

Bexley looked at her outfit, "Oh Florence you have so much to learn." She said. She went to her friends closet, finding her something to wear. She frowned when she mentioned babysitting. "Florence get that whole idea out of your head. This is for fun. Quit worrying." She said. She got dressed, then started to fix her hair. "You act like awful things will happen. This is what you need to finally relax." She said.

Jonathan chuckled, "Dude, relax. Florence is too goody goody to do anything fun anyway." He said, shrugging. He watched his friend and leaned against the counter. "Who knows, maybe she will have fun and want to do something like this again." He said.

Florence huffed when Bex said she couldn't wear what she currently was, digging through her closet before changing into a different outfit before taking a seat back on her bed. "My brother says these parties are no good, that terrible things happen, and he doesn't want me to see." Florence frowned.

"That's the last thing I want, her wanting to come to more parties, get addicted to the same crap I'm on. I don't want her to hate tonight, but I don't want her to love it so much she comes back." Axel frowned, looking at his friend. "She doesn't deserve to be trapped up in all this like I am."

Bexley looked at her, "Terrible things happen everywhere so you might as well enjoy it." She said. She opened her bedroom door, "Let's go." She said before she walked downstairs. "You guys ready?" She asked, looking at the two in the kitchen. She was glad they were getting to go out. She hadn't been to a party in a while.

Jonathan glanced over as the girls came down, raising an eyebrow when he saw Bexley. "Oh, I am ready." He said. He noticed Luca and Florence both look at him, "What?" He asked, chuckling. He got up and sighed as he grabbed his jacket. "Come on my innocent little bean." He said as he walked with Florence. "I will keep you from the bad bad world." He teased her.
