Joel and the other two recruits were some of the last people to enter the barn. They had been talking to some of the members about expectations during the fight. Just exactly what they would have to do in order to make it into the gang. In truth, it seemed straightforward enough. Joel just had to win 2 out of 3 fights in order to make it in. While he didn't want to be cocky about it, Joel knew that he was well trained. So it shouldn't be too hard to be able to win. Sure, who he was fighting was tough and surely knew how to beat down people in the streets. But Joel was taught to counteract that as a police officer.

As himself and the other two walked into the area, he noticed Riley gazing through the crowd of people. Without a word, he separated himself from the recruits and headed over to her side. A huge smile coming across his face as he did so. "Are you going to wish me good luck?" Riley asked as he walked in front of her, making sure that Riley wouldn't miss him. He glanced her over for a moment before continuing to speak. "I know you don't really like these things but I was hoping you would cheer for me."

A small hum came from him before he leaned forward a bit, turning his cheek to her and tapping it twice with his finger. "How about a kiss for good luck? I am sure that I'll win if you do." His eyes shifted to her before he let out another chuckle. He was already aware that the girls in the group weren't allowed to kiss or be with, in any way, people who weren't members. And he was rather sure that recruits weren't the expectation as he hadn't proven himself yet.

"Or, here's a better idea. How about you give me a real kiss if I win?"

Ryker, who had been keeping an eye out for Riley finally noticed the young woman towards the wall of the barn. He would have to grab her as it seemed she was a little lost and he knew that the woman always sat with him and her father. Though when he saw one of the recruits come up to her, a deep frown came across his face. His eyes narrowed as he watched the two of them closely. He could see the man tapping his cheek for a kiss and irritation was quick to rise in him.

Hearing a familiar voice unexpectedly caused Riley to jump a little. Snapping her out of her little daydream as she focused on the voice and placed it with a name as the owner's face came into view. Joel seemed as energetic as ever and Riley had to force herself to give him a small smile. She wasn't used to a guy being so openly kind and talkative to her. Usually, the guys were offering flirty words or were telling her what they needed her to do for the day or something. Joel, he actually wanted to know what she thought about things. It was weird, it was new.

"Oh, uh," Riley mumbled and blinked in surprise as she watched Joel. Her bright green eyes looking around for a moment as she wondered if anyone was listening in to what Joel was saying to her. If they were, then they would both be in big trouble. Especially if they told Ryker about this. He would be extremely pissed. She was club property and Joel wasn't part of it. He wasn't allowed to ask something like that from her, nor could she play along. Yet, it didn't seem like anyone was paying attention and Riley kinda wanted to. Joel was nice, so why not?

Biting down on her lower lip, Riley glanced around once more. Everyone was watching the front stage as the first recruit was being pushed towards the front for his first fight. Then, looking towards Joel, Riley acted quickly and reached out. She gently placed her hands on his cheeks and turned his head to the side once more. Then, she leaned up and placed a quick little peck against his cheek before letting him go and falling back onto the balls of her feet. "We can talk about a real kiss if you win tonight," Riley told Joel as she did her best to offer him a small smile. This would be considered an act of betrayal to the club if one of the men decided to confront her about her little kiss on the cheek.

Slowly, Riley took a small step back. She pursed her lips and glanced away from Joel as she tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear. "Why don't you go and get ready. I'm sure your secretly nervous about this whole thing." Riley said barely loud enough for Joel to hear. "Good luck, Joel. Don't get too cocky, this is just night one." She said quietly, knowing that the three fights were spread to three different nights. That way, it was fair and everyone was always at their top form.

A huge smile came across his face as Riley leaned up and pressed a kiss against his cheek. He had been hoping that she would give in but it was hard to say if she actually would...How could he blame her if she didn't? After all, it wasn't like Joel was actually part of the gang yet but it seemed to him that he was getting to Riley. In the least, she had a sweet spot for him. "Thank you for the kiss, miss. I am sure that I can't fail now."

He winked at her. "Especially when you are offering a real kiss." When Riley mentioned getting ready, Joel glanced out at the crowd and the area where the other new members were waiting. He was quiet for a moment before turning back to her and giving a nod. "Very well. And I'll try not to get too cocky." He said with a chuckle before turning around and making his way through the barn. It was hard not to get too cocky when he knew what he was up against. He would win and he would win all three if he had to. This was his mission and losing wasn't an option.

Ryker's blood started to boil as he watched Riley lean up and kiss his cheek. What was wrong with her! She knew better than to do anything with someone outside of the gang. Even if it was just a little kiss on the cheek! Riley could get in serious trouble with this, especially with the other men, especially with him. His eyes narrowed as he watched the two closely, hoping that Riley wouldn't take it a step further. Though this was already bad enough. When Joel walked away, Ryker waited a few moments before walking up to Riley. He tried his best to calm down although he was furious underneath the surface. How could she have done something so stupid? But he didn't want to get her in trouble with the rest of the guys.

"We're over here," Ryker said before he turned around and headed towards her father. He assumed that Riley would just follow. And if she didn't, well then she was dumber than he thought she was.

Closing her eyes and breathing in through her nose, Riley tried to collect herself. This was a huge mistake. She should have just faked sick or something and stayed home. Kissing Joel in any sort of way was dangerous. She was part of the gang and he wasn't. This was only the first night, he had three more to get through before he was a patched member of the gang. If someone saw or spoke of that little kiss, Riley would get her ass beat and Joel would probably get kicked out before even becoming a full patched member.

The sound of Ryker's voice snapped Riley out of her thoughts. Her eyes opened wide as she exhaled and looked towards the older man. The man who pretty much held her life and Joels in his hands. One word from Ryker and anything could happen. Beatings, shootings, robberies, anything the man wanted. He got. "Coming!" Riley said as she turned and followed the Vice President to the Dancing Devils towards where they would be watching the first round of fights that were going to be held.

"Hi, daddy," Riley said as she got close to her adoptive father. Leaning over, Riley gave the older man a kiss on his right cheek and then leaned against the wall with the two older men. Standing between them, Riley felt even shorter than she actually was. In her opinion at least. "Riley, about time you poked your head in. Sitting outside the whole time?" Her adoptive father asked, knowing full well that Riley didn't really like being in this sort of situation. Fighting and blood didn't really sit well with her. "Y-yes sir. I just wanted some fresh air. It always gets stuffy in here. Ya, know." Riley said quietly as she crossed her arms behind her back and looked down at the ground.

A small hum was Riley's father's response to her explanation. "Ryker, why don't you take Riley home after the fights? Take her to get some fresh air, remind her of how we live." Her father's side glanced Ryker for a few moments before looking towards the ring where they were getting the first fight ready to go. The old man was a few months short of retiring and handing the Presidental title over to Ryker completely, but til them, he was still in charge. Technically.

"Yes sir," Ryker said, patting the man's back as he did so. It didn't take a genius to figure out that their leader didn't really lead anymore. There were a lot of reasons for it, and after everything that he had done for the gang, no one said shit about it. And, even if someone did, Ryker would beat them to the pulp. Even though he had taken over most, if not almost all, of the responsibilities, Ryker had a lot of respect for the man and listened to him when he wanted him to do something. Besides, Ryker knew that his time to be fully in command was coming soon. It wasn't like the old man was being stingy or power-hungry or something.

Though the thought of reminding Riley how they lived brought a few thoughts to his mind. He glanced at her for a moment out of the corners of his eyes. Ryker had promised to watch over Riley, to make sure that she continued to be obedient and follow the gang during his absence from it. Now it was clear that she needed some reminding. Perhaps a stop somewhere after the fight would be best.

As his mind started to spin, the fights began in front of them. It was time to evaluate the fighters. And now, thanks to Riley, Joel was going to have to work twice as hard to prove to Ryker that he belonged to the gang. Tonight would be normal but if he made it through it...well let's just say that tomorrow won't be as easy. Ryker would give him a chance to prove himself, but he didn't like it when people took things that weren't theirs. Even if they might not realize what they were doing.

    ---
When the first fight finished, there was already blood on the floor. That was to be expected but now it meant that Joel was going to have to ensure that he didn't slip and fall on it. As he was trying to memorize where it all was, Joel was getting grabbed onto by his shoulders and pushed to the ring "Your turn, kid." One of the gang members said as he pushed him in.

Joel was quick to catch his balance from the small shove and he turned to his opponent. Some random man that probably came and fought here pretty consistently. The man was bigger than him in terms of weight but Joel reckoned that his arms were a bit longer than the man's. That at least bode well but he couldn't help but wonder how hard this man was going to punch....Well there was only one way to find out and Joel felt confident that he'll know after the bell rung.

Listening to the two men next to her caused a small chill to run down Riley's back. She wasn't stupid, she recognized the words unspoken between the two men. She was caught, either by just her father or both of the men, she wasn't sure. What she did know though, was that she should apologize to Ryker as soon as possible. He was going to be President soon, so having his protection and respect were both things that Riley needed. As much as she didn't want to admit it, she wished she lived a different life. One where she wasn't pushed around by the ones who were supposed to look after her.

Raising her eyes, Riley pursed her lips into a tight line. The first fight was starting. It was clear to Riley that it wasn't matched up evenly. One of them was the scrawny recruit, the other was one of the senior members, one that Riley knew was as tough as bricks. And sure enough, Riley watched as the smaller guy got his ass kicked. He was trying to throw heavy hits when he should have used speed to his advantage. He should have thought this through better, not tried to prove that he was tough, brains were just as needed as brawns.

A small flinch was really Riley's only indication of being bothered by the fights. The sight of blood gushing out of the guy's nose as it was smashed to the side causing the young girl's stomach to do flips inside of her. Slowly, Riley bit down on her bottom lip, hoping that helped with her stomach, but it didn't. Nothing helped as she watched the younger male get his face punched in by the bigger guy who was not on top of him and giving him a tough beating. The only thing that Riley could say that would probably impress the others is the fact that he never gave up.

Watching as the past out recruit was dragged off of the fighting ring, Riley's green eyes searched for Joel. She hoped he was prepared, things were going to only get tougher from here since the floor would be slippery since they didn't bother cleaning the blood. Then, a small gasp escaped from Riley as she watched him get pushed into the ring. He looked prepared, and cocky. Two things that caused Riley to feel a little nervous about it.

-Skipping to the end of the fight-

Ryker would hate to admit it but Joel was actually rather impressive in the ring. it was clear that the man knew what he was doing and despite going up against someone bigger than him, Joel won a rather swift victory. Plus he had only gotten hit a few times himself. It meant that he might have a chance at winning what Ryker was going to throw his way tomorrow. Not that he would be thoroughly disappointed if he won but...His glance shifted to Riley at the thought of it. He didn't really want Joel around Riley. Something sat wrong in his gut about it.

After all of the fights had ended, Ryker put an arm around Riley's back and lead her out of the building and towards one of his bikes. He got on before motioning for Riley to follow suit. He had to bring her home now, to her father. Though the man also told him to remind them how they lived, and he planned on doing it. Especially as his blood was still boiling from the disrespected Riley showed to the gang by kissing someone who wasn't a member.

They drove around for a bit, taking the long road around town before finally ending up on a cliff overlooking the city that they ruled. Once they arrived, Ryker got off of his bike and headed towards the cliff, looking out at everything. He was trying to take a moment to enjoy the quiet and find some calmness in his heart...but it didn't work.

Without looking at Riley, Ryker spoke up. "What are the words that we live by?" Ryker asked Riley, knowing that she would know it immediately. They should be words that described her life and soul at this point.

Fights were never something that Riley enjoyed. Blood, seeing others pain, it just wasn't fun for Riley. She didn't understand it, but, it was their way. It was how they found those who were worth keeping around and sending away the ones who wouldn't be able to make it. Thankfully tonight, that culture of theirs promised at least two people a spot in the gang. The first guy was iffy, he'll have to win the next two fights if he wanted to redeem himself and get into the gang.

As the gang started to disburse and Riley had half a mind to go and congratulate Joel. Except, Ryker was next to her and he seemed to have other plans for her. After all, her father asked him to bring her home. A small tired sigh escaped from Riley as she leaned slightly into the older man's side as she followed him out towards the bikes. Her bright green eyes zeroing in on the monster of a bike that the VP owned. The one that she always got excited seeing when she was younger. The one that she always begged to ride on when she was brought to the clubhouse after school.

Climbing onto the bike after Ryker, Riley wrapped her arms around Rykers' waist and leaned into him slightly. Keeping her grip tight as she knew that he was a speed demon, not to mention he liked taking fast turns, he was like a teenager whenever he was on the bike. A loose cannon.
As Ryker drove the bike, Riley relaxed her hold on him slightly. Her body moving up as she accidentally pressed her breasts against his back as she looked over his shoulder at the amazing view. Then she turned her head and watched everything as they passed things by. It was a beautiful night out, so she wasn't minding the long ride with Ryker, especially since he knew that the fights made her uneasy.

After a while of just driving around, Riley felt herself being lured into a false sense of calm. It was beautiful outside. The sky was clear and she could see multiple stars out here. Not to mention it was so quiet and peaceful, such an amazing contrast to the busy city that they live in. If Riley wasn't careful, she could see herself falling asleep against Rykers back as he drove them around. Not a thing on her mind as to why he was taking her out here in the first place.

Although, when he pulled into a little cliff-side viewing area, Riley could feel her confusion showing on her face. "Ryker?" Riley said quietly, staying on the bike for a moment as she watched him walk to the edge. Staying behind for a couple of moments, Riley watched in confused silence before she slowly climbed off of the bike. She moved towards him before stopping about a foot away as he asked her about their code of conduct.

"Respect is earned. Honesty is appreciated. Trust is gained. Loyalty is Returned." Riley replied immediately, her head tilting to the side slightly in confusion. Her lips turning down into a small frown, she didn't get why he was asking her about that. She was a good girl, she didn't need to practice repeating that thing anymore. She's been good to the gang for ages. Except... tonight... she did break it... Ryker knew too..

The moment the last word left Riley's lips, Ryker turned fast and grabbed Riley's upper arm. His grip on her was tight, refusing to let her go. Though Ryker continued to walk forward, basically dragging Riley with him as he did so until she was pressed against the tree. "Then why didn't you follow them." He growled harshly at her. "You of all people should know. YOU know them. You have lived by these rules your whole life yet tonight you break them. And for who? Some cocky boy who isn't a part of our gang. He may be trying to get in but he isn't. That little boy is an outsider. Even if he did get in, you should have waited. You are the fucking daughter of our leader and if you can't follow the rules, then -"

Ryker let out another growling, getting irritated at his mind replaying what he had seen between her and Joel. Why would she do that? Why would she be so foolish? Ryker pushed her harder against the tree, pinning his whole hard body into hers. He towered over her.

"Your lips, your soul your body belongs to the gang. You're even respected enough that you should say no to the lower tier members, people who just got in or have no fucking respect. But there is no doubt that you shouldn't be messing around with some recruit. You belong to the gang. You are protected by the gang. Remember that the next time you think it's a good idea to be fooling around with some boy." Ryker could still feel the rage rising in him.

"Remember that. Remember who you belong to. Remember that if I walked up to you and told you to get on your goddamn knees and told you to suck my cock, that the only words coming out of that mouth of yours is 'yes sir'. And remember if anyone else not worthy of this gang does so, tell them to fuck off. Do you understand?" He snapped.

A surprised gasp escaped Riley's lips as she felt Ryker's grip on her arm. Her eyes widening as she stared up at the older man. Her legs moving backward so that she didn't fall over. It's been ages since she's seen this side of Ryker, and even longer since he's shown this sort of anger towards her. His narrowed eyes, his deep voice of disdain. It all sank deep into Riley's soul as he spoke. It sent fear to raise up in her and made her want to cower like a scared animal. Ryker was terrifying when he was mad and she had never wanted to be on this side of him. Yes, Riley was tonight.

As Riley's back hit the tree that was behind her, a small whimper escaped from her lips. Her own hands moved to rest against his muscular chest as he shoved her harder. He could probably feel her shaking as she listened to him. She was nervous to the core. "Y-yes, sir." Riley stuttered out quietly. "Sorry, sir. It won't happen again, sir." Riley said quietly as she stared wide-eyed up at the vice president. This was why he held such a high position. He was scary when he was mad, he was ruthless, he was dangerous. "It was a mistake, one I'm terribly sorry for, it was a stupid move on my part. I'm loyal to the gang, and only to the gang."

Why wouldn't her mouth just stop working already? Riley mentally kicked herself in the ass, surely Ryker was finding her rambling annoying by now. She could feel his body pressing against hers as he pinned her to the tree. Her breasts rubbing against his chest each time she took in a breath, causing her nipples to start to ache because of the friction. This was the closest she's ever been to Ryker, in all the years she's known him. He's always kept a safe distance from her unless he was giving her a ride on his bike. Now though, Riley could see every speck of color in his hazel eyes. Every movement of his Adam's apple, he was furious at her. He looked like he could hit her for disobeying, and she wouldn't blame him for doing so. He had a right to, she had disobeyed and deserved whatever came her way.
