Annie Was smiling widely at the pie in front of her as she put the finishing touches. “You know steve has a thing for pies.. and pretty ladies” bucky chuckled as he leaned against the counter. Annie looked at him and laughed “he’s dating someone she can make him pies...” Bucky walked up to Annie “so whose this for?”

Annie bit her lip, “you” her eyes twinkled, Bucky ran a hand through his hair and smirked. “That’s sweet doll, thanks”

Natasha walked over, ‘pie smells amazing,’ she saw the looks shared between the two. She was happy Bucky was finding somebody. She was happy that Steve found somebody.

Annie found it easy to open up to Bucky, they went through “similar” troubles and she just wanted someone to help her heal, who understood her. Annie nodded “yeah... it’s cherry” Bucky smiled “I love cherry.”

Steve wasn’t really aware of this friendship he was busy dating but would soon find out.

A few days passed by and Steve came back to the avengers building. He saw Annie with Bucky on the couch, talking. They were really close to each other. He was happy his friend found somebody but for some reason, he felt a little jealous. He shouldn’t though. He has Hannah and she’s amazing.

Bucky has his hand pressed against Annie’s cheek, the metal arm didn’t frighten her. She felt at ease, “you’re so damn pretty” he whispered with a grin on his face. Annie bit her lip “thanks.. your eyes are the most beautiful.” She whispered.

She looked up noticing Steve “oh hi Steve!” Bucky looked over and smiled “hey Stevie”

Bucky stood and smiled “we were just watching a movie.. how’s hannah doing?”

‘She’s doing good,’ he smiled at Bucky before looking at Annie, ‘how are you?’

Annie smiled softly, “doing good, Bucky was just telling me about his dating habits in the 40s... and he misses stuff. So where going to coney island this weekend.”

Bucky wrapped his arm around Annie “how about you and Hanna come with us?”

Annie smiled softly getting up “I’m gonna head to bed good night”

Annie kissed his cheek softly before waving by to Steve. Her heart happy as she skipped to her room.

Bucky went to his own room, thinking about Annie. She was so beautiful, funny and smart.

Annie Hughes her pillow close, it had been so hard for her to open up to a man since her situation. But Bucky knew about being abused and mistreated and he helped her open up. He was tough but had the softest heart, and while her feelings for Steve were still there he’d never feel the same way about her. After all steve was dating hannah
